When the group finally reached Sienne, the capital of the theocracy known as the Begnion Empire, Sanaki, the apostle, started to ask a series of questions to Princess Elincia. Her first question had to do with her being the orphan of King Ramon, the late king of Crimea. Sanaki did admit to Elincia that King Crimea had been keeping her in secret. However, she never knew if she was that same Princess Elincia or not. Elincia then stated that she had no time for proof at the time the Daein army was seeking to kidnap her for Ashnard, King of Daein. Sanaki then proclaimed that with Crown Prince Renning also dead, no one would know Elincia's face. Ike then decided to vouch for the princess. Elincia was disappointed.

"I mean, seriously." Ike said. "I have no doubt that Elincia here is the true heir to the Crimean throne." Sanaki later questioned Ike, asking him what even gave him the strength of conviction. He later let out a "what" in a shocked manner.

"Ike, if we believe her story, then we know that this beautiful woman has not even interacted with the outside world since her birth." Sanaki said. "So, in question to you, how is it that you, a simple mercenary, even dare to declare her… hm… let's say authenticity?" Sanaki later asked. Ike answered, saying that the Daein Army pursues with determined bloody-minds, and that they dared that the Crimean Army turn the princess over to their army for King Daein. He then asked Sanaki about what further proof she needed.

"If someone of proper standing like this would make a pronouncement like that, then I would… likely accept it as some sort of… irrefutable proof, Ike." Sanaki stated. "But however, you're a commoner. No surname, no documented lineage, no nothing. Now, I know commoners. They are poor, they support any lie." Ike remained silent. Sanaki then suspected him to tell him if he was the son of a noble house or a royal knight of Crimea. But in reality, Ike was not a noble, nor was he a royal knight of Crimea. He had no connections with the royal palace. He also stated that he was not that type of person who would betray convictions. He was simply just the escort of Princess Elincia. But he also said that he would sell his sword or the swords of his mercenaries to a liar. Sanaki was not pleased at that point.

"I really don't care how high or mighty you might look in royal terms." Ike later said. "I will not let you stand here and mock the trust of us, or Elincia!" Sanaki was speechless. Elincia was also even more angry.

"How dare you!" said a senator named Lekain. "Who the heck are you to speak so crudely to the apostle like that?!"

"And who are you supposed to be?!" asked Ike.

"Zip your trap, happy meal of Crimea." said Lekain. "You are not to address the apostle in a crude manner! If this keeps happening, the penalty is death!" Sanaki halted, then laughed at Ike.

"This is not funny for me." Ike said to himself. Sigrun, captain of the Holy Guard, entered the room.

"Apostle Sanaki, we've just received detailed reports about the mercenary company escorting Princess Elincia." Sigrun said.

"They knew…" Elincia whispered to herself.

"Yes. I… deeply apologize for testing you. Life here is just… boring." Sanaki said. Then, Lekain with the other two Dukes of Begnion, Hetzel and Oliver, were joking around about the interrogation to Elincia. This angered Ike.

" MADNESS! " Ike hollered. He later turned away. But, as he heard more words out of Sanaki's and Elincia's mouths, things heated up quite fresh.

"What the?" Sanaki asked.

"You knew Elincia WAS Princess Crimea?!" Ike asked in anger. "Then why did you have to interrogate her for entertainment and for games of wits and words?! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! Elincia's parents—her family— were hunted down by those damned monsters of the Daein Army! And now she has nowhere else to turn! And you… laugh at her?! UNFUNNY! Just unfunny!"

"Your words!" Lekain said.

" YOU ARE HORRIBLE! YOU ARE PEOPLE OF DISGUSTING MANNER! " Ike yelled. "And you owe Princess Elincia a proper apology." he later said. "Worthless scumbags."

" IKE! " Everyone yelled. He later turned away.

"Is… is he–" Sanaki asked as she was disrupted.

"Were you aware of this?" Sigrun asked Princess Elincia.

"N-n-no…" Elincia answered.

"His behavior can test the apostle's patience." Hetzel said.

"I'll talk with him." Titania said. She went to talk privately with Ike.

"It's just unbelievable and unforgiving, Titania!" Ike stated. "I don't care if she's the apostle or the empress or whatever the hell she is! I can't frickin' stand her!"

"I know how you feel, Ike, but you are in the eyes of senators and dukes and the apostle herself. You can't use words like that! And also, words like that can hurt the feelings of people." Titania stated.

"But Titania!" Ike said.

"No buts about it." Titania said. "Now come on. Let's go back to see the apostle."

"No way!" Ike said. He later walked away.

"Where are you going now?" Titania asked.

"To apologize to the princess." Ike answered. Nasir later showed up.

"What happened?" Nasir asked.

"The goddess only knows…" Titania said.

"Princess!" Ike hollered.

"Ike!" Elincia also hollered. Ike then apologized to the princess. However, Elincia said that there was no need for an apology.

"Wh-what?" asked Ike.

"What you said angrily was indeed true to me." Elincia said.

"Really?" asked Ike.

"Yes. I did lose my family and my home, but I have people to turn on. People to rely on, that is." Elincia said.

"So what I said… really meant it?" Ike asked.

"But you still hurt the apostle, though." Nasir said as he walked to Ike. "It is a miracle that you are still breathing.

"Nasir!" Ike hollered out.

"Let me tell you something, Ike." Nasir said. "Like I said, it's a miracle how you are still breathing. Still, it would be a pain to lose you here as there would be suffering for Crimea."

"I see…" Ike said. "Come on, then. Let's see if they have prepared rooms for us." Ike and company later went to rest.

Meanwhile in a small remote village, there were tigers running amok throughout the area. However, these were no ordinary tigers. These were laguz tigers who had no way of shifting out of their animal forms. They were known as Feral Ones. This was a term given to laguz who could not shift out of their animal forms. They stayed as an animal forever and ever and ever. Kito, the brother of Kamaria, saw the tigers and was destined to fight them. However, he was later caught by Daein soldiers.

"Hey!" a Daein Sword Knight said. "I see you fighting off the sub-humans!"

"Wait, no, you don't understand!" Kito said. "They were attacking the villagers! I was destined to help!"

"Likely story." the general said. "You're coming with us."

"Screw this shit!" Kito hollered.

"Yup. Find that Begnion Sword Knight Freak." said the general to a halberdier.

"Yes, sir!" said the halberdier. He went off to find the sword knight Makalov, who was Marcia's brother.

"I can't believe the Daein Army recruited me into the army." said Kito. "All I wanted to do is help the village. What should I do?" he later asked. "I know!" Kito said to himself. "I'll seek help from the holy guard without Deain's forces even knowing. After all, I would never call the laguz racist terms like that, even though that it's the word they teach in wretched Daein schools." Kito then went off to find the Holy Guard. Little did he know that he would finally reunite with his sister Kamaria.
