All the songs for you~
Chapter 3:
She got out of her sister's room and sat on her desk. She pulls out her priceless possession from the desk's drawer, her diary. She begins scribbling her emotions on the white sheet.
I can't believe he found out! Yes, he found out that I like him! Today he caught up with us outside the dissection lab. There he stood, with his guitar, singing in his own stunning and attractive aura. He talked to me after everyone left, asked if I like him, and I lied. What was I supposed to do? I felt that this wasn't the right time. Maybe he wanted my attention? But maybe not the way I wanted. He just wanted to play around I guess.
She paused, then a smile decorated her angelic face.
But it doesn't matter. My love for him will always be the same, no matter what happens. He has his right as my senior. I know deep down he is a beautiful soul who craves for the kind of love that isn't conditional, that one kind of love that's always once a lifetime, but if caught at right time, will last for a lifetime. I will give him that love, my unconditional love. I just hope I'm enough for him. When will you understand my feelings? Oh Tyson...
Her heart fluttered. Ever since she found out his name, she has always been writing his name in her diary. If she doesn't, her restlessness will not let her think straight. Every time she wrote his name, every time she said his name, her heart fluttered with joy.
She closed her diary, and climbed on the bed along with her phone, a bad habit she had grown in the past few days.
She scrolled through his social media pages, her half closed eyes relishing the pictures, even if they were burning with the light of the screen. Suddenly a different page popped up. Her friend Lydia's social media page. Her second most favorite page.
Lydia was a believer for universal facts. Hilary recently found her interest in facts as well, as some were starting to seem relatable to her feelings for Tyson.
She remembered what Hikari told her. Babe don't keep your love too unconditional for him. She bit her lip. She nervously sat on her bed, as her evils continued to taunt her. Then suddenly a swift movement of the wind interrupted her thoughts.
The curtains roared as they hit the windows of her balcony. She closed the windows. She turned around, only to find her scrapbook pages scattered on her desk.
She started collecting the diagrams and the sketches, organizing them back into the scrapbook. She sighed as she placed the book on the desk.
She sat on her bed and felt something below her hand. She found another sketch page of the scrapbook. The only thing was that, it was also one of her priceless pieces of art.
A sketch of Tyson Granger himself.
She smiled at his goofy face as all her evils faded away. She caressed the cold paper with her fingers, before hugging it closely to her chest.
'Yes, my love is you and it's true.' She giggled.
She again started to scroll through social media, when she found something pretty interesting.
Someone had recorded the song Tyson had sung in front of the dissection lab. She immediately downloaded the video, plugged in her air pods, and laid down on bed as she played the song.
Her heart and soul cherished each and every beat of the his voice. She got confused if the guitar gave the music or was he the music himself. Listening his voice filled all her cravings and wiped off the sorrows, she fell into slumber with a satisfied smile.
Half of the day passed very quickly than expected. Not that Hilary was complaining, in fact it was now one of her favourite period, again recently added to her interest, the lunch break. And she going to make a special announcement.
"May I get everyone's attention?" She clapped her hands, drawing attention, a very rarely side of the rather quiet brunette.
"Everyone's knows that a 'senior' of ours doesn't like music in the canteen," she sarcastically rolled her eyes, daringly challenging Julia. Julia glared at her from the corner of the room.
"Music is like treatment for many patients that helped them to return from the mouth of death, so we can't keep it away from us, now can we?" She looked at the confused eyes of her classmates and seniors. She looked at the Stereo hearts, who were listening attentively, Tyson's face being a mixture of shock and awe.
"So," she showed her credit card. "We bought the centre table for the Stereo Hearts!"
Silence.
Then there was a thunderous cheer in the whole canteen. Everyone was cheering for such a great step. Stereo Hearts' happiness was off the charts. Tyson looked shocked, never had he thought she would take such a step against one of her arrogant seniors. He knew she was bold, but THIS bold? No.
Julia gave Hilary a death glare, but left anyway. Tala noticed it, a side of him wanted to ask her why she hated them so much, other wanted to just ignore and enjoy the moment. He decided to go with the latter.
The Stereo Hearts approached her and her friends and thanked them.
"Thanks, you didn't have to do this really." Zeo said.
"We didn't do it for you, we did it for us, right guys?" Lydia asked the whole canteen, a roar of 'Yeah' was heard. Zeo chuckled.
"But how could you even afford this?" Kane asked blinking rapidly.
"That doesn't matter really. We just wanted to make the environment less, boring." Hikari just shrugged, trying her best to not look at the slate-haired head.
Hilary looked at Tyson, searching for any signs of care. He just stared back, not finding words to say. And his senior ego won't let him.
"Tyson I-"
"It's Tyson Sir," he said firmly. Ray narrowed his eyes. "And yeah thanks for what you did, I'm grateful. But I-" He looked around to find something to help him escape. "I just need to get a drink." He walked away towards the counter, not letting Hilary to continue.
She was hurt. But decided to look on the bright side. The Stereo Hearts can sing in the canteen again! But her sister wasn't pleased, rather she was pissed by the way Tyson treated Hilary. She rubbed her wrist, getting ready to grab her senior and knock some sense into him about how to treat a woman, but Hilary stopped her and shook her head. Hikari sighed but nodded. But Ray's emotions weren't any better than Hikari, good thing he knew how to keep them in check.
Tyson stood in front of the counter waiting for his coffee.
'I know it's not a way to show how grateful I am,' he thought to himself. 'And maybe even how thrilled I am. But you really have a respectful place in heart now, along with the place you already have. But I can't tell you that just yet. But I won't leave you without a proper reward as well.' He smirked and took a sip of his coffee and headed towards his seat.
It didn't took him long to finish his coffee, he immediately stood up and announced, "Guys, guys, I had been working on this song recently for a special someone, whose name I'm not gonna take," the canteen occupants laughed. But the Stereo Hearts looked confused. "But what if I tell you that you could hear it?" A roar of approval was heard. "Great then! There it goes," Tyson sat down and pulled out his beloved guitar and started playing a soft tune.
"You got me standing on the edge but, can I fall for you? For you? My heart is beating fast, My feet will carry me to you, to you," unlike his wary attitude a minute back, his humble and smitten tone now was perfectly enthralling, too sweet and brazen.
"Ohhooo," The peers roared, raising brows at him waggishly. Hilary looked at him in awe and suppressed delight.
"And I can feel you on my skin, Baby you show me what is real. Don′t let me go just stay forever Unite, Unite." He smiled at her for a lucid moment, his face serenely expressing himself without any refrain. She burned red at his words, lowering her gaze from him. Damn, he was too frisky, a total swashbuckler.
"Baby can you stay with me oh? Baby can you stay with me oh? Don't want you to go far away, I won′t let you escape no Baby can you stay with me?" his guitar strummed harder in beat and she coyly smiled, licking her dry lip, trying so hard just like his beat not to blush again. She could practically feel the blood rushing to her cheeks and heating up.
He himself smiled in slight shyness, just crazily strumming that beat on guitar, hoping she got what he meant, that this dedication was only for her. He was on fleek, that was for sure, whether it was Hilary or others that thought.
She felt Hikari and Lydia were nudging her with big teasing smiles, and she felt as if the whole canteen probably was actually staring her.
And then, he just surreptitously grinned, staring at the ground. 'Damn, I think I'll fall harder for your shyness first even before you fall for my voice,'
Tyson finished his song just as the bell rang. Everybody rushed outside. Hilary started walking with her bag held close to her chest, with her friends tagging behind. Tyson lovingly stared at her back as her silhouette disappeared in the crowd, ignoring the hoots and encouraging shouts of his friends. But only Ray had a worried look on his face.
"Then I can't hold you back, can I?" She chuckled.
"I don't think so, catch ya later!"
"Hiro, wait!" Hiro turned and looked at Fae.
"When are you going to tell Tyson about us?" She nervously asked. Hiro bit his lower lip.
"Well I, I don't want to make Tyson feel left out, so-"
"I understand Hiro, you should leave now." She smiled at him, which he returned.
Hilary entered the library in a rush, holding more books then she can normally.
"Okay, so I have to return Grey's Anat and its manual back, and I need-OH!" She crashed into someone, resulting in dropping her books, and a sore forehead. She looked up, immediately apologizing.
"I'm so sorry Sir!" She bowed.
"Wait, aren't you Hilary?"
"Huh?" She looked up at familiar face. "Yes, and aren't you Hiro Sir from the Stereo Hearts?"
"Yes, that's me," He smiled. "And Tyson Granger's big brother."
Hilary's eyes widened.
.
.
.
"Oh, so you want to be a physician too?" Hilary knew it was a stupid question, but she was so nervous that this was Tyson's brother, she stumbled on wanting to know Hiro.
"Actually, I am." Hiro smiled.
"Oh, OK, so what are you doing in the library?"
"Nothing, just grabbing a book for my brother. He's a bit careless." Both of them laughed. Hilary was surprised how well she was going along with Hiro, unlike her relationship with Tyson.
"I was wondering, he hasn't caused any trouble for you, has he? I mean, you are his junior after all." Hiro asked. He didn't want to embarrass her by telling her that he knew she liked his brother.
"No, nothing like that happened Hiro Sir." She lied. Well, what he did wasn't troublesome, so wasn't completely lying.
Hiro knew she was lying, but didn't push her anyway.
"I prefer Hiro. You can consider me as your brother. "
"Oh, okay then." She smiled.
"Well, I think you should be going. Your break is going to be over soon. It was to nice talk to you."
"I guess I should. Bye Hiro." She waved as he walked away.
'How can two people of the same blood differ so much?' She shrugged, and headed for her class.
Hikari whistled her way out of the lab, as finally the day got over.
'Finally! Today I'm going to treat Hils her favorite Hiky-macaroons! I hope she keeps her promise for making me her famous Raspberry pie! It's sweet tooth day baby!' She giggled in her own little chic. On the way, she saw her senior, aka her twin's crush, Tyson Granger.
'What is he doing in 1st year section?' She thought, but continued to walk.
Tyson, on seeing Hikari, assumed her to be Hilary. So as his wicked plan replayed in his mind, he smirked.
'She changed her attire. Hmm, doesn't matter. Time for some fun!'
"Hey Hilary!" He stopped the twin brunette. She looked at him, confused.
"Why did you lie that day?" He mischievously smirked.
"Huh?"
"Don't act dumb. I know you lied about not liking me," He remarked. "And since you didn't complete the truth a gave you, you now have to obey me." He was towering over Hikari now.
Hikari was now looking at him as if he had grown two heads. She knew he was assuming her as Hilary, and she wanted to know how he treated her sister.
"So, what should you do?" He pretended to think as Hikari secretly glared at him. "How about something simple? Now tell me, why do you like me? And how much?" Now that made Hikari furious.
"YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO INTRUDE MY SISTER'S PERSONAL LIFE!" She exclaimed in his face, silencing Tyson, who looked like he had been slapped in the face, totally dumbfounded. With that, she stomped away.
Tyson stared at the place where the brunette was standing before.
"What the heck just happened!"
The rest of the Stereo Hearts gathered at the parking lot. Kai hadn't arrived yet. They were waiting for him to show up.
Kai just walked out of the hall. Suddenly someone crashed into his back. He didn't stumbled, the result of the tremendous working out at the University gym. But the person wasn't that lucky.
He turned around, only to find Hikari rubbing her back as she sat on the cold floor. But Kai assumed her to be Hilary.
"Here," He offered her a hand. No, he wasn't that nice with the boys, but he wasn't called the Ice Prince for nothing. Ice for boys, a true gentleman for girls.
Hikari went red on seeing her dream guy in front her.
'That wasn't how I wanted our first meeting to be!' She thought as she embarrassingly took his hand, blushing even harder on their contact.
"Thank you, and so sorry!" She bowed. Kai blinked, but chuckled, a really rare side of him.
"Don't worry. C'mon get up, I'll walk you till outside." He started walking. Hikari followed.
Only one thought in her head wandered.
'O MY GOSH O MY GOSH O MY GOSH! THE GREAT ICE PRINCE KAI HIWATARI IS WALKING ME OUTSIDE! Okay Hikari, calm down. He's just being a good guy. Don't act like a freak, play it natural.' She relaxed a bit.
"Shouldn't you be at home by now? Your batch students are long gone." He asked without loosing his cool stance.
"I, nothing." She said, thinking that complaining Kai about his friend won't be a smart move.
"You don't have to be afraid of me," Kai frowned. "Did someone bully you or something?"
Hikari was shocked that he even cared about a stranger. But Kai was just being a brother for Hilary as he knew who could be the bully.
"No it's not like that! It's Tyson Sir. He didn't exactly bully me or anything, maybe teasing, which was obviously for my sister." Hikari rolled her eyes.
"Sister?"
"Yeah, her name's Hilary. You know her, she bought you guys a seat in the canteen." She smiled.
"Oh." Kai blinked, now coming to know that this girl wasn't the blunette's interest, but her sister, who was her twin. But he decided to keep this news to himself that he wrongly thought her to be Hilary.
"I'm going to talk to him, don't worry." Kai said.
"No, don't. Let him find it out himself. I hate how he's treating my sister. He doesn't know how to talk to a woman! But, would you mind if I say a few words about you?" Hikari asked the latter nervously.
Kai raised an eyebrow, but shook his head.
"Well, I wish he would be more like you. A gentleman who knows when to bow down when needed. A guy who'll respect his partner and give her equal chance and credit." She honestly spoke, looking straight ahead.
Kai finally looked at her. Kai never looked at Hilary properly, but knew that she had chocolate hair and ruby red eyes. Hikari was no different. But for some reason, he was noticing the differences.
'Bold, yet shy.' He noted mentally. A thought popped in his head out of nowhere, that whoever would be her lover, she would give her full attention to that person, stand up for that person.
'Having such a bold girl surrender herself to you would be lucky.' His eyes roamed on her attire now, a red short sleeved crop hoodie and black shorts, finished with white sport shoes. Her hair was tied halfway from her shoulders.
"How can you tell I'm that kind of person?" Kai asked.
"I'm a good judge of personality. A good pep talk can give all the data I need," she smiled. "And Hilary's totally opposite, she can make misleading judgements. That's why I'm worried she chose the wrong person." She grimaced.
"Tyson?"
"So you know too."
"Of course I do. But did you have a proper pep talk with Tyson?" Kai remarked. Hikari thought for a moment, then shook her head as a 'no'.
"Then trust me. Tyson's much more than he looks outside. I myself took time to understand that he wasn't only an annoying brat," Kai smirked. "He has a big heart, you'll know if you talk to him properly."
Hikari looked at Kai, a hopeful look on her face, then smiled.
"Thank you Kai, I mean Kai Si-"
"The name's Kai," He glanced at her from the corner of his eyes.
Hikari blushed and nodded happily. Was she getting a special treatment from the Prince himself? She had heard Salima say that how he takes his senior post seriously.
They walked in silence for a while, until they reached the parking lot. But the Stereo Hearts were rather surprised on seeing the duo.
"Kai, what are you doing with Hilary?" Max asked.
"Hilary?" Hikari asked. Then it clicked.
'So that's why Kai was being so nice to me,' she thought, glancing at the her attire. 'Why would he even look at a girl like me.' She inwardly sighed.
Meanwhile Kai, was screaming in his head. 'IDIOT! IDIOT! IDIOT!' He made a mental note to teach Max a good lesson later.
"Oh no, I'm not Hilary. I'm Hikari. She and I are twins." She explained. It was sure a shocker for the Stereo Hearts, but they soon got along the fact that they are twins. Kane and Zeo smiled nervously.
"Well, I should be going now. Bye!" She waved and walked away towards her car, waiting for her sister to arrive.
"So there WERE two Hilarys in the campus!" Kane exclaimed.
"Did you know about this Kai?" Ray asked raising an eyebrow.
"Just did." He replied simply.
"I think they look cute together." Max teased. Kai snapped his eyes open.
"Excuse me?!" Kai rather exclaimed than asked.
"We were talking about Tyson and Hilary," Zeo shrugged and pretended to look confused. "Who did you thought we were talking about? You and-"
"Shut up Zeo. I need to get home early today." Kai walked towards his bike, wore his helmet, and with a blink of an eye, he was off.
A roar of laughter was heard.
