Chapter 62: Two Heads are Better than One

As the gang stepped through the gate, they were disappointed to find that they hadn't been sent home, but instead were in a new duel world all together. However, there was something different about this one. Whereas the previous ones were wide, open spaces, this one was small and consisted of only a large stadium.

"Well, this stinks."
"I must say, this is rather peculiar."

"Come on, let's check it out."

Approaching the entrance, they found a huge line going towards the entrance.

"What's going on?"

"Didn't you hear? It's the Duel World Championships today. Duelists from all of the dimensions have gathered here to determine who the best duelist of them all is. Rumor has it that the winner shall have one wish granted, free of any stipulations."

This got everyone's attention.

"DId you hear that, guys? If one of us wins, we can wish everyone home!"

"I don't know, Jay. Something tells me there's a catch."

"Syrus is right, Jaden. For all we know, this could be a trap."

"Yeah, remember that Tag Duel tournament?"

"Do any of you have a better idea?"

The others had to concede that they did not, and so they registered for the tournament.

"Excellent! The first round will begin shortly. Good luck!"

Half an hour later, the tournament got underway. Chazz was the first, and his opponent was Stray Lambs. The tournament official, who was a member of the Goblin Attack Force, stepped up holding a coin.

"Call it in the air."

"Tails!" Chazz called. Unfortunately, it landed on Heads.

"Stray Lambs will decide the turn order."

"I'll go first."

Chazz grumbled, but took his spot on the opposite side of the duel arena.

"Alright then, Game Start!"

DUEL!

Stray Lambs: 8000

Chazz: 8000

"We'll begin with one monster face down. Next, we activate Stray Lambs, giving us two sheep tokens (0/0 X2). Lastly, we'll set two cards face down and end my turn.

"All of those cards for that? Weak! I summon X-Head Cannon in attack mode! Knock out one of his tokens!"

"We activate the Threatening Roar trap card. Now you can't attack this turn."

Chazz fumed, but concluded his turn with a card face down.

"Before you end your turn, we activate Solemn Wishes, granting us 500 life points any time we draw a card."

Stray Lambs: 8500

"Now, we'll tribute our two tokens in order to summon Big Koala (2700/2000) in attack mode! Next, we flip over my Silver Fang (1200/800). Big Koala, pound his Cannon!"

The giant Koala bounded over, bashing the poor machine to pieces before returning to his owner's side of the field.

Chazz: 7100

"Now Silver Fang, attack him directly!"

Chazz howled in pain as Silver Fang bit him on the arm, clutching it as it throbbed.

Chazz: 5900

"We'll set one card face down and end our turn."

"Feel like giving up yet?"

"Fat chance! In fact, I'm just getting started! For starters, I'll summon Y-Dragon Head! Next, I'll activate Frontline base, and use its effect to summon his buddy Z Metal Tank. Now, by removing them both from play I can combine them together to summon YZ- Tank Dragon (2100/2200)!"

"Is that supposed to impress us? Our Big Koala is still stronger!"

"Yeah, check your math!"

"Oh, don't worry about that, because I activate Book of Moon! This flips your Big Koala into face down position. But don't worry, he won't be there for long, because now I activate Tank Dragon's effect! By discarding one card, I can destroy one face down monster. Care to guess which one?"

"Oh no!"

"That's right, say goodbye to Big Koala!"

Chazz's new monster opened up all of its canons, blasting the face down until it was nothing but pixels blowing away in the wind.

"Now then, attack his Silver Fang!"

"I activate Negate Attack!"

Chazz growled, his patience waning thin.

"Fine, your move."

In the stadium's locker room, his friends watched him struggle.

"This isn't good. Chazz can't even touch their life points!"

"And his hand is empty."

"Yeah, but if I know Chazz, then he'll find a way out of it."

"I sure hope so, Jay."

"Our turn, Draw!"

Stray Lambs: 9000

"You'd best not be too attached to your monster, because now we activate Offerings to the Doomed! By sacrificing our next Draw Phase, we can destroy your Tank Dragon!"

"What?!"

Flames erupted from the spell card, burning away at the machine until it was nothing but scrap metal.

"Next, we summon Dark Rabbit (1100/1500) in attack mode! Now our monsters attack you directly!"

The Rabbit giggled like a lunatic before dealing a hard punch to the gut, making him double over in pain before SIlver Fang bit him on the arm again.

Chazz: 3600

"We end our turn, but you may as well give up! You can't hope to beat us!"

"Yeah, give up!"

Despite the pain, Chazz managed to force himself to his feet.

"Give up? Never! And to start, I active Card of Demise! This gives me a fresh hand."

When Chazz saw what cards he had drawn, he couldn't help but grin. This was perfect.

"I'll start by activating Silent Doom to revive my X- Head Canon! Next, I activate the trap card Roll Out. This lets me equip a union monster from my graveyard to X-Head Cannon, like my

Z-Metal Tank!"

"Hold on a minute! You banished that monster last turn!"

"Yeah, cheater!"

"No, I banished my first copy. You're allowed to have more than one copy of a card in your deck, you know."

This made the two sheep flustered as the audience laughed at their mistake.

"Now, where was I? Oh, that's right, I was winning! You see, the amazing thing about my Tank is that when he's equipped to X-Head Cannon, he gains 600 attack and defense points (1800-2400/1500-2100)! Next, I summon my Armed Dragon Lv 3 in attack mode! X-Head Cannon, attack his Silver Fang!"

The combined monsters aimed their weapons at the wolf, blasting it into nothing in seconds.

Stray Lambs: 7800

"Now Armed Dragon, attack his Dark Rabbit!"

The deranged bunny, knowing he was doomed, tried to hop to safety, only for the dragon to catch him and knock him down.

Stray Lambs: 7700

"I'll end my turn with one card face down. Beat that, chumps!"

The conjoined monster moved to draw, only for an alarm to sound.

"Huh? What's going on?"
"Did you forget? Your Offerings to the Doomed card skipped your draw phase this turn."

"Crud, he's right!"

"This is all your fault, pink!"

"My fault? You're the one who wanted to be in charge of this duel!"

"Since you don't have any moves to make, I'm going to take my turn now. First, my level 3 grows up to become Level 5! Next, I'll Return From the Different Dimension trap card!"

Chazz:1800

Both Y- Dragon Head and the first Z- Metal Tank emerged from the portal.

"Now, I unequip my other Z-Metal Tank from X-Head Cannon. Now my monsters, attack them directly! Any last words?"

The two headed monster could only whimper in fear.

"None? Well, then allow me: You. Go. Bye Bye!"

The two-headed sheep could only scream in agony as Chazz's army of monsters let loose their attacks, draining their life points to zero instantly.

Stray Lambs: 0000

Chazz smirked, raising his finger to the sky in triumph.

"You just got chazzed."
