Hello, all you beautiful and/or handsome people! Tis I, the 3rd dragneel, coming back with my old Fairy Tail Multi crossover, Fairy Tail: War Beyond Worlds. As some of my longtime readers would know, I posted this story a long time ago, yet I stopped due to creativity issues.
HOWEVER….. Now I've returned to finally keep this story going once and for freaking all. Yes, I have tons of damn stories to do, but I love a challenge, and with this much to work on, I know my writing skills will increase.
The rules of the story are as followed….
14 Heroes will come to Earthland, and they can be from any media(games, anime, tv, etc…)
Each one will appear during a certain arc.
14 Villains from the worlds the Heroes come from will also appear.
Crossworld pairings are possible.
I won't tell you which Heroes I've already thought of, but I may leave hints here and there just for fun.
Now, I don't know how frequently I can post this story, so please be patient.
'Unknown plain of existence'
In an area of space and time, stood a large white tower, which was located on a single floating stone. The tower had a white flag with an image of two swords crossing around a planet. This place is known only as Omega, location of the Overseers.
*SLAM*
"Everyone, we cannot allow this to continue!" A single man shouted in the middle of a large white table, his hands slammed against the surface. He looked to be fifty with a simple black mustache, a small beard, long black hair that was tied to a ponytail and grey eyes. He wore a purple shirt with cross belts under a white robe, grey baggy pants, black socks and brown sandals. "The longer we allow him to spread his corruption, the more likely he is to spread. We must stop this disease while it is still fresh."
"I understand your concern Talion, but what can we do about it?" One of the shadow figures with a feminine voice questioned.
"It is stated in article 6 of the Overseer's Text: no Overseer shall take a world's matters in their own hands in risk of allowing our presence to be known." A much older voice said in a stern tone.
"But Grand Chairman-!"
"While normally I would follow the rules, this case is too special." A lazy voice said while lighting a cigar in the dark, allowing his grey spiky hair to be seen. "Who knows how long it'll be until her spreads to another world, and another, and another."
"I agree with Talion and Adrian, sir. We have to make an exception for Ankhersam before he attacks other worlds." A feminine voice said softly.
"Even IF we would do something, it would go against everything we believe in." Another, much older, feminine voice countered. While the five discussed with each other, the Grand Chairman stroked his long white beard. He did want to stop this evil god, but they had each made a vow never to fix the deeds of one world as it would destroy the balance they had worked eons for. However, an idea came in mind.
"Talion, you say we should stop him, yet we are unable to conflict with one world." The Grand Chairman said while folding his hands together. Eraqus was about to speak up but his superior raised a hand, telling him he wasn't finished. "However, there may be a way we can do something without our presence being known."
"Well, what is it sir?" The first male questioned curiously.
"The Champion Initiative." The Grand Chairman said, his voice carrying an echo that rang through the hall.
"But we haven't followed that law in centuries!"
"Yes, but it allows us to send help from other worlds in our place."
"Okay, I like the idea. But who gets to choose who?" The old man sent a white orb of energy to each of his associates.
"Look through each of your sectors. Find a hero you deem worthy, make contact with them and explain the situation. Remember, they must be willing to become your Champion and nothing else." The Grand Chairman drank from his tea cup before setting it down. "We must prevent this catastrophe from occurring, or everything we hold dear will be destroyed. This meeting is adjourned." They all nodded before exiting the room. Eraqus looked at his orb before an image of a male appeared.
"Interesting. You have the potential to be a Champion, young man." Talion muttered as a small smile appeared on his face. "I can only hope you are strong enough for the trials to come."
'New Domino City, 11 a.m.'
"Alright, this should do." A male, no older than eighteen, said while putting his wrench down. He has tan skin, an average looking physique, black hair with gold highlights, and royal blue eyes. The upper layer of his hair just upward while the lower layer arches down. He wears a long-sleeved blue jacket with a high collar and amber gems, over a sleeveless black shirt with a red symbol, and wears gloves below his elbows with an amber gem on them. His lower body consists of black jeans with amber knee pads, a belt with two Deck holsters hidden under his jacket, and calf-high motorcycle boots. He also had a golden jagged mark on his left cheek. He was Yusei Fudo, current Turbo Champion of New Domino City and he was currently fixing a brown convertible that had an engine problem. It had been two weeks since the Turbo Cup, two weeks since he and his friends faced the Mech Lords, two weeks….since Bruno disappeared. The blue haired amnesiac just….disappeared. Not even leaving behind a note or anything. Yusei remembered how he and his friends, as well as Trudge looked for him and so far, it was as if he was just a ghost. While he was worried about Bruno, Yusei still had his friends: Jack, Crow, Leo, Luna, Akiza, Blister, Martha, Trudge and so forth. A small smile crept on his face as he put his tools inside his toolbox. "Alright Mr. Winchester, the car's all fixed up."
A short round man with combed grey hair, black eyes, a bushy mustache, and a brown business suit entered the garage with a big smile on his face. "Well done Yusei, my boy! She looks as new as the day I bought her!" He said with a hearty laugh while reaching in his pocket and handed the man a check. "It really is an honor to have New Domino's Champion in my house."
"The pleasure's mine. Have a nice day." With that, he exited the garage and sat on his red and white Duel Runner, the only runner he'll ever need. Putting on his helmet, Yusei drove off the driveway and towards the streets. It's good to see some peace here. He thought while glancing at New Domino. The memories of his father and the Ener-D project were still in his mind, and the suffering people had to face because of it. He made a vow to ensure his city and the people living in it were safe, no matter what. 'Crow and Jack did mention something about a Turbo tournament in the next town over, Leo and Luna might need help on their homework, maybe Akiza wouldn't mind hanging out for a bit.' Lost in his thoughts, Yusei failed to notice a sphere of white energy appearing right in front of him. "WOAH!" His runner wobbled a bit from his surprised expression.
'Follow.' It whispered before getting a head of the Signer. Yusei didn't know why, but he could tell it wasn't trying to harm him.
"I don't know who you are, but don't come any closer." Yusei warned as he began to speed up. However, the moment he turned his head…..he noticed that the birds flying past him began to slow down. 'What the?' Then, the area around Yusei began to glow, causing him to close his eyes. "What's going on?! WOAH!" In a flash, Yusei Fudo and his Duel Runner were gone.
'Unknown location'
Yusei was then teleported to another place. Feeling his feet touch the ground, he opened his eyes, only to find he was in a blank area. No really, the WHOLE area was as white as a cloud. "What is this place, and where's my Runner?"
"Welcome, Yusei Fudo." A voice called from behind the Signer, making him turn to find it was Talion speaking. He let out a smile with his hands behind his back. "It is good to finally meet you."
"Who are you?" He questioned with narrowed eyes.
"Please, I am not the enemy." Talion said with a raised hand. "We are in a place known as Omega and this room is called The Sanctuary, which is a place where anything can exist, yet it doesn't. However, I can change that." With a snap of hisfinger, two red cushioned armchairs appeared behind the two, much to Yusei's shock. "Please, sit. We have much to discuss."
"You still haven't told me your name." Yusei said, getting a chuckle from the Overseer.
"My apologies. My name is Talion, and I am known as an Overseer. You know about the gods correct?" Talion asked, getting a nod from Yusei. "Well think of us as their superiors, keeping them in check in the event they abuse their powers."
"No offense, but that sounds impossible." He said while resting his elbows on his knees.
"Perhaps this will change your mind." Talion opened his right hand as a small golden light appeared on it. When it died, Yusei's eyes widened as the man was carrying a duel monsters deck. "I think I should show you just how truthful I am. Come out of your confinement, Stardust Dragon." A large flash of light emerged from the card, forcing Yusei to cover his eyes.
*RRRRRRROOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRRRR*
The top card of the deck suddenly flew into the sky….and shattered. Then, a green portal opened in the sky, allowing a slender dragon of white and blue to land on the ground, creating a wave of stardust that expanded in the area. "Amazing. I had never seen such power first hand." The dragon said while opening and closing its claw.
"Stardust…. you're alive." Yusei muttered while walking towards his dragon. While he and Stardust had always shared a mental link, this was the first time he had ever heard him talk. The dragon smiled at his master before lowering his head, allowing the duelist to pet his snout. "I've always wanted to do this." He chuckled before looking at Talion. "But, how?"
"I simply removed the dimensional barrier around Stardust, allowing him to exist in real life." Talion crossed his arms with a slight smirk. "So Yusei, do you believe me now?" Yusei had seen Akiza bringing a duel monster to real life due to her psychic powers, but he had never witnessed something like this. Maybe… maybe Talion was telling the truth.
"Yeah, I believe you. But why would you bring me here?" Yusei questioned, causing Talion to lose his smirk.
"That is what I wish to talk to you about. Tell me Yusei, do you believe there is life beyond your world?" Talion questioned with a serious tone.
"Of course, but scientists haven't found it in any other planet." To Yusei's surprise, Talion chuckled.
"You're correct, but does that same rule apply...for other universes?" Talion waved his arm in the air, completely changing the room. Yusei and even Stardust looked in shock as multiple planets and galaxies appeared in front of them. "Your world is one of many. Each of these worlds are similar to yours, yet different in their own way." Talion pointed to a planet on the right hand corner. "For example, this world is inhabited by apes." He pointed to one opposite of that planet. "And this world is filled with demons."
"I see. But Talion, what does this have to do with me?" Yusei questioned. Talion waved his hand once more and the images of the worlds disappeared, replaced by a large figure with demonic wings.
"I've called you here because me and the other Overseers need your help. One of the gods in these worlds had violated one of our most rules: never contact with another world." Talion said, not holding back his anger.
"If he did this and you outrank them, then why don't you stop him?" Yusei noticed the deep frown of Talion's face.
"Because he has found a way around our rule and has gathered some of the most vile of villains from these worlds in order to conquer his. We are bound by our vows as Overseers to never solve a world's problems, for if we do, they will rely on us and fail to survive on its own." Talion turned to Yusei with a serious look on his face. "But there IS something we can do, something that hasn't been practiced in centuries. It's called the Champion Initiative, a method for which Overseers choose one warrior from one world and gives them passage to another world to assist it in any way. Yusei, YOU are one of the Champions I have chosen." To say Yusei was shocked would honestly be an understatement. Here he was, standing in front of someone who is considered the boss of GODS, asking for his help.
"But, why of all people did you choose me?" Talion gave him a smile before snapping his fingers, summoning several images of Yusei's past battles.
"Why? Because you are the most selfless person I have ever seen." Talion said in a respectful tone. "No matter how many times you are put down or insulted, you put the concerns of those around you first before anything else." He gestured towards some of Yusei's greatest battles: his duel against Tanner, the battle with the warden, his emotional duel with Kallen, the battle he had with Akiza before they became friends, the three way battle with Jack and Crow against Goodwin, and his most recent battle, the Mech Lords. "You've shown how noble you are and that is why I have chosen you to be my Champion. However, the choice is up to you, whether to accept or not. Call me when you have made your decision." Talion disappeared in a flash of light, leaving Yusei and Stardust alone.
"What do you think, Stardust?" Yusei asked his Duel Monster, though it was rather odd, seeing as this was the first time they were actually speaking to one another.
"To be completely honest with you Yusei, I have no idea." Stardust admitted while scratching the back of his head. "But regardless of the choice you make, I will always support you." Yusei closed his eyes to think. While he did want to help this world from that evil god, he couldn't just leave his friends and city behind. After everything they've endured, they deserve peace. But even so, it still wouldn't feel right to ignore innocent lives as his parents would want him to do what his heart followed. After a bit of thinking, he made up his mind.
"Talion, I have your answer!" Just as he finished saying that, Talion reappeared with a small smile on his face.
"So, what is your answer?" Yusei looked deep into Talioon's grey eyes before saying one simple word.
"Yes. I'll be your champion."
'In the train Station of Hargeon'
"Come on Natsu! We gotta get going!" A blue, talking cat said to his partner, who looked to be on the verge of passing out. His whole body was blue, apart from his white belly and pink paws. He also carried a cute little green bag on his bag, which if someone looked closely, smelled of fish.
"Umm, is he okay?" The conductor said with a sweatdrop.
"Aye! He's like this whenever we travel on vehicle." The cat exclaimed.
"I'm never riding another freaking train again." The one called Natsu said as his cheeks puffed up. He had wild pink hair, baggy white pants with open-toe sandals, a red coat and scaly scarf.
"If the information we got is right, then Salamander should be around here." The cat said while exiting the train. "So come on Natsu!" The train's sudden movements caught his attention as he looked to see his friend's crying face.
"NNNNNNNOOOOOOO! HAPPY, HELP!" Was the last thing Natsu shouted as he was taken away on another joyride to hell.
"The train left." Happy simply said without a care in the world. Something in the corner of his eye as he turned to see something shining in the forest. "Woah, shiny."
Little did the blue cat know…. His life and Natsu's life was about to change.
'In the outskirts of Hargeon'
'Hmm…" Yusei's face began to squint at the feeling of the skin shining against his skin. He slowly began to open his eyes and the first thing he noticed was the tranquil scenery of Hargeon. "Ugh, I don't think I'll ever get used to that." He then sat up, stretching his muscles from the soreness of his transport to this world. "So this is Earthland. It's….. different." He looked at his left arm and noticed his deck was in its holder. Patting the other deck box, he sighed as he had both on him. "I wonder what I should do now." He questioned as he began to recall what happened beforehand.
'Several minutes earlier in the sanctuary'
"So, what's your answer?" Yusei looked deep into Talion's grey eyes before saying one simple word.
"Yes. I'll be your champion." Talion and Stardust smiled at the determined look Yusei had. They both knew the kind of person he was, so his answer didn't come as a surprise.
"Good, I'm happy you decided to agree. Now before I send you to the world Ankhseram plans to rule, there are some things I must inform you of." Talion looked serious as Yusei nodded. "The world you will be entering is called Earthland, where technology isn't as advanced as yours and the residents there use magic, though only 10% of the population can naturally use it"
"Magic? As in party tricks for a kid's birthday?" Yusei questioned, getting Talion to chuckle.
"No," Talion swiped his arm, creating a kind of screen to appear. "You see, in the beginning of Earthland's time, dragons ruled them all, slaughtering villages and terrorizing people." The image showed exactly what Talion said and Yusei, as well as Stardust were shocked to say the least. "However, not all dragons were evil as some taught humans the way of magic." The scene then changed to a hooded individual holding an orb in front of a dragon. "Centuries later, humans were able to conduct spells, as well as magical items in their everyday lives, though now dragons are long thought extinct. So don't be surprised if you face one of these wizards in battle. Trust in people, as you have before and make bonds that will last a lifetime." Yusei nodded before a question came to mind.
"But wait, when will the other champions arrive here, and how will I know if they're champions in the first place?" The Overseer's answer came when he walked towards Yusei and touched his right arm, activating his Signer mark of the Crimson Dragon.
"In order to find the champions, we bestow a beacon to something of high value towards them, that being your Signer mark, which will glow when one of the other champions are nearby." He took a few steps back while flipping his wrist, summoning a portal next to him. "Only when all fourteen champions are gathered, will you be summoned back to discuss with my colleagues. Remember these words Yusei Fudo: you are your cards and your cards are you. They will help you whenever you feel the need to summon them, and you can speak with them telepathically." He smiled. "It is an honor to have someone like you as my Champion. If you have questions, I will appear in your subconscious to answer in the best of my abilities." Yusei gave a small smile as he looked into the portal before looking back at the Overseer.
"Well, let's see what we're getting ourselves into, huh Stardust?" The Fortune Cup champion said to his duel monster, who reverted back to his card form as they entered the portal.
"Do you really trust that boy to face such forces?" Said a voice from the other side of the room. Talion turned to see one of his associates leaning against a wall with her arms crossed.
"I do, yes. If you had seen what he's done, then you would agree." He simply said, getting her to sigh. "So, how goes your Champion search?"
"It's more...difficult than I assumed, but I should find them soon." She then turned her gaze towards a certain vehicle. "Hey, isn't that the boy's ride?" Talion looked at what she was referring to before he sweatdropped.
"Shit." He said with a hint of embarrassment.
'Present time'
"Well, I guess I should look around to get more info on this place." He said with a hand in his pocket as he walked towards the town of Hargeon. He kept walking, noticing the looks some of the townsfolk gave him, probably because of his hairstyle or his sector security tattoo. 'Hmm, these people don't seem that different than those in New Domino City. What do you think Stardust?'
"Don't let looks deceive you Yusei. I can feel strange energy coming from each of them, but not enough to call 'wizards' as Talion called them." The duel monster said in Yusei's mind. Due to having a conversation with his card, Yusei failed to notice someone walking straight towards him.
*BAM*
"KYYAAHHHH!" A feminine voice said, snapping Yusei out of his thoughts as he looked down to see a girl that looked to be his age that looked a little younger than him with shoulder length blonde hair, a white blouse with a blue line that made her 'assets' pop out, a VERY short blue skirt, brown boots and a blue ribbon on her hair, tying some of her hair in a side ponytail. "Ow, watch where you're going!" She looked up to glare at him, but stopped when she saw how….odd he looked.
"Sorry miss, I didn't see where I was going." Yusei said as he offered her hand, which she hesitantly took.
"Yusei, I feel a great amount of power within her, at least compared to everyone else here." The duel monster said, getting Yusei to slightly look in shock. The girl noticed his look and blushed in embarrassment.
"I-is something wrong?" Her voice snapped him out before he spoke.
"Oh no, I just felt something about you. Tell me, are you a wizard?" The Signer questioned, getting the girl to beam in pride.
"Yup, you're looking at a celestial wizard!" She said before realizing she didn't know him. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name."
"Right, I'm Yusei Fudo and I'm...not from this world." Yusei said, thinking the last part in his head.
"Not from around here?" The blonde questioned, getting him to nod. "Well my name is Lucy and I can help you out, if you want. So tell me where-"
"Hey, did you hear? Salamander's here!"
"HE IS?! WHERE?!"
"THIS WAY!"
"No way, Salamander! The famous fire mage!" Lucy said with wide eyes, getting Yusei to raise a brow
'He might be a really strong wizard if people know him.' Yusei theorized before he turned to Lucy. "Hey Lucy, do you-" He couldn't finish as Lucy ran towards where the girls were talking, getting him to sweatdrop.
"My, if she's like this with celebrities, then I'd hate to imagine how she'd react to knowing who you are." Stardust joked, making the Signer sigh as he decided to follow the celestial wizard.
'Not too far away'
"Man, I can't believe I got stuck on that train again." Natsu complained as he and Happy walked on the streets.
"Well maybe you should practice getting better with your motion sickness." Happy suggested, though Natsu ignored him.
"Man, I'm hungry."
"Too bad we don't have any money." They kept walking until they saw a crowd saying something about Salamander. "Hey Natsu, do you think-?"
"It's gotta be him Happy." The pink-haired boy said as he rushed towards the crowd.
'With Yusei'
The chosen Champion ran a bit in order to catch up to Lucy, who entered a crowd of people. "Man, this guy has to be really famous to have this many girls?" Yusei said as he thought about how crowds would swarm him and Jack. "Excuse me, pardon me." He made his way through the crowd before laying eyes on a man with blue hair, red cape, white shirt and red pants. He also wore rings on his fingers and a strange tattoo next to his right eye.
"Hmm, though I can sense some power from him, this man doesn't seem that powerful to be famous."Stardust told Yusei, who noticed how Lucy was watching 'Salamander' with a huge blush.
'Why is my heart beating so fast?' She thought as the celebrity kept doing poses. 'Is this...love at first sight?'
"Hey Lucy, you okay?" Yusei asked as he tapped her shoulder, somehow snapping her out of her shock.
"Oh, hey Yusei," Lucy then noticed the rings on Salamander's hand. "Wait, those are-."
"Igneel!" A voice called out as the speaker pushed his way towards the middle. "I finally found ya, you-!" It was none other than Natsu, who saw 'Salamander' before his expression changed from excited to confused. "Who the hell are you?" Salamander seemed shocked at the boy's bluntness, but regained his composure.
"My boy, I'm sure you've heard of me. Why, I'm Salamander and I-." He stopped talking when he noticed Natsu walking away. "BORED ALREADY?!" His fangirls then began to beat the ever living hell outta Natsu.
"Apologize you idiot!"
"Don't disrespect Salamander!"
"Wow, this guy's got some crazy fans." Yusei muttered, getting Lucy to nod before he walked towards the girls. "Hey, leave him alone!"
"Stay out of this! He ignored Salamander, so he must pay!" One of the girls yelled with fire in her eyes, getting the Signer to sweatdrop.
"Now now ladies," Salamander said with a cocky smirk. "I'm sure he didn't mean any disrespect, so there's no need to beat him up." Almost immediately, the girls cooed at how generous he was to the boy as Yusei looked at him in suspicion. "Here kid, take this and frame it on your wall." He said while handing a signed autograph of his name.
"Nah, I don't want that piece of crap." Natsu said with a bored attitude, which resulted in the girls beating on him again.
"Unfortunately ladies, I must take my leave." Salamander snapped his fingers as a red carpet lifted him into the air, surprising Yusei. "But don't forget that I'm hosting a little swaray on my yacht and you're all invited!" And with that, he left, making the crowd disperse until only Yusei, Natsu and Lucy were left.
"Man, that guy is something else." Yusei then looked down at Natsu. "Hey, you okay?" Natsu looked at the stranger before taking his hand.
"Yeah, man those girls were crazy." He said while rubbing the back of his head before grinning. "Thanks for trying to help man."
"I know. He helped me snap out of the trance those charms had me under." Lucy spoke up, getting both males to look at her with confusion. "How bout I invite you guys to lunch as thanks?"
"Nah, you don't have to do that Lucy. I was just helping you out." Yusei said, while Natsu was drooling at the amount of food he could eat.
"No, I insist. Besides, I left you behind to meet Salamander, so consider this my apology." Lucy said with an embarrassed blush.
"You hear that Happy? We're gonna get some food!" Natsu called out as a blue cat walked up to him, shocking Yusei and Lucy, the latter more.
'So there's talking animals here? This place gets weirder and weirder.' Yusei thought with a sweatdrop.
"Says the one who was called by the gods to become a champion and talk to his deck." Stardust said with an amused tone, getting him to sweatdrop more.
'A few minutes later'
"Maybe it wasn't a good idea to invite them." Lucy mumbled as she saw Natsu and the cat named Happy scarf down their food like it was their last day on Earthland. Luckily, Yusei was eating his steak like a NORMAL person.
"So you guys are Natsu and Happy and you're looking for someone here?" Yusei spoke up, though the duo barely heard him. 'Man, and I thought Crow and Leo ate a lot.'
"Yeshh, thash uz." Natsu said with his mouth full.
"It's okay, you don't need to speak. Plus food is kinda flying everywhere." Lucy said while raising her hands in a defensive manner. Surprisingly, none of the food hit her or Yusei. "Anyways, I can't believe that guy used charm magic."
"Charm magic?" Yusei questioned with a brow raised.
"They were a kind of magic that would cause someone to fall for the user, but the Magic Council banned them." The celestial wizard then went onto explained wizard guilds and a place called Fairy Tail while Natsu and Happy listened, though Yusei was deep in thought.
"Yusei, the man in front of you, Natsu was it? I can feel an extraordinary amount of energy from him. It almost feels like Red Dragon Archfiend or Black Rose are in front of us." Stardust exclaimed, getting Yusei to look in surprise. This guy must be really strong if Stardust compared him to the other Signer dragons.
"Well, I have to get going." Lucy said as she got up with her bag in hand. "Yusei, you still want me to give you a little tour?" The Signer shook off his look of shock as he nodded and stood up too. The duo were about to exit the restaurant when they noticed the waitress' bewildered look. Turning around, they sweatdropped as Natsu and Happy were bowing to them like gods.
"Thank you for the meal!"
"Thank you!"
"Don't bow, it's embarrassing!" Lucy yelled before Natsu offered Salamander's signature, which she quickly denied as she and Yusei went outside. "Man, those two are pretty weird."
"Not compared to my friends back home." Yusei said with a smile at the thought of New Domino City. "One of them keeps saying, 'prepare for the talent of the amazing Leo.'" Lucy giggled at this. "So where would the library be? I'm kinda behind on my studies."
Lucy walked in front of him with a smile. "The Hargeon Library is just a few minutes from here, you can't miss it." She began walking before looking back at him "It was nice to meet you Yusei."
"Same here Lucy, and good luck with joining that guild." Yusei said with a smile, getting the wizard to blush before he waved her goodbye as he walked towards the direction he was given.
'He seems like a good guy. Maybe we'll meet again….I hope.' Lucy shook her head as she headed towards the ark, unaware of a pair of eyes watching her with a devilish smirk. The Signer continued to walk, thinking of what Stardust told him about Natsu.
'Maybe he could help me with the mission.' Yusei telepathically told Stardust.
"Perhaps, but we cannot bring innocent people into our mission unless we can absolutely trust them."Stardust said sagely, getting him to sigh. After a few minutes of walk, Yusei made it to the Hargeon Library, which like Lucy said, wasn't that difficult to find as the sign was rather big. He opened the door and it looked somewhat similar to the libraries in his world, though it was a bit old-century.
"Hello young man, can I help you?" An elderly woman with a brown sweater, gray hair tied to a bun, and reader's glasses.
"Yes, do you have any books related to magic users?" Yusei asked politely.
"Why yes. It's in row 3 on the left side." She said with a kind smile, to which Yusei returned as he walked towards row 3, where there were several books that included magic. He decided to choose the book labeled 'Magic and the history within.'
"This should be a good start." He silently walked towards one of the empty tables before opening the book. "The magic in Earthland has been discovered several centuries ago. Dragons were the first magic users and eventually they passed some of their teachings to humans. Wizards have something called a Magic Container, which gives them the magic they use and the more they use it, the less it has. Magic Containers are refilled by the air which contains Ethernano, particles of magic that all living beings in Earthland breath. Without it, wizards cannot use magic and a long period without refilling it would result in death. There are two types of magic users: natural and holder. Natural magic users can use spells from any part of their body, though most of the time, it is used in the hands, such as fire and lightning magic. Holder magic is different as it revolves around using objects that can channel their magic, such as Celestial magic."
"My, it seems like Lucy is a type of holder mage. This is most interesting." Stardust commented.
'Several hours later'
After hours of reading the history of Earthland, Yusei decided to take a long break by walking the streets with the night sky as his guide. "Man, that was alot to take in." He said out loud since he was alone.
"Yes, but now we know more about Earthland and its wizards." Stardust added, getting Yusei to nod. The Signer kept walking until he noticed Lucy from far away, wearing what looked like a red dress as he headed towards the port. Being the cautious one, Yusei decided to follow until he noticed the guards letting her in. "Something definitely seems off."
"Yeah, I don't trust those guys." He then proceeded to sneak on board the ship via the cargo hole. Just as he did, the ship began to sail.
'Inside the ship'
"Oww, my head." Lucy said as she grabbed her head. Her mind was all fuzzy, the last thing she remembered was drinking from the cup Salamander gave her and poof, all the blur. "Where am I?" She moved her head and was shocked that she was in a steel cage.
"Well, look who's awake." Salamander said with a dark tone.
"You?! What do you want with me!" Lucy attempted to reach for her keys, but they were nowhere to be found.
"Oh? You mean these?" He began spinning the keys on his right hand, getting her to widen her eyes in shock. "Oops." He threw the keys out the window.
"NO!" She yelled with tears in her eyes. "Is this how all Fairy Tail wizards are?"
"Maybe we are, that doesn't matter. So stay there and let me brand you." He chuckled while pulling out a brand stick. Just as he was about to open the gate….
"AAHHH!" One of the grunts said as he fell unconscious on the floor, getting the two to widen their eyes. The person responsible was none other than….
"YUSEI!" Lucy called in happiness as she saw him walk in with a guard in his grasp.
"I thought there was something up with this guy." Yusei turned to glare at Salamander. "Looks like I was right."
"You. You! You think just cause you took out one of my guys, you can take me on?!" Salamander said as he snapped his fingers, getting his men to assemble in the room. "Now what are going to do?"
*BOOM*
The room's ceiling suddenly collapsed as Natsu appeared in the middle. He turned to glare at the famous fire wizard before he fell with his face turning completely green. "Crap, I forgot we were on a ship." This got everyone to sweatdrop.
"Oh man Natsu, do you need help?" Happy called out as he flew, yes FLEW, above the room, getting everyone to look in shock.
"Happy! Thank god you and Natsu are here. This guy was trying to take the girls away to sell them and Yusei came to… Wait, when could you fly?!" Lucy said in shock.
'She barely noticed him flying?' Yusei thought as he looked back at Natsu. "Hey, what's wrong man?"
"Can't…...move….motion…...sickness." Natsu muttered out, though Yusei got the message.
"Enough of this!" Salamander yelled, getting their attention. "None of you are leaving here now that you know what we're up to."
"Happy, take Lucy and Natsu and get outta here." Yusei said with a serious tone as he looked at Salamander. "I'll hold them off."
"Sorry, I can only take one person." The feline wrapped his tail around Lucy as he flew away. "I'll try to hurry!" And with that, they started ascending.
"Don't just stand there, shoot them down!" The grunts prepared to use their magic when Yusei jumped towards and delivered a swift punch to each of them. Years in the Satellite can teach a guy a thing or two about how to fight, and these wizards don't seem that tough. As he dealt with some of the grunts, Natsu was getting his ass kicked since his motion sickness was still in play(get it?).
'With Happy and Lucy'
"Happy, we have to hurry back! Yusei and Natsu might need help!" Lucy called out to the flying feline.
"Uhh Lucy? We have a problem?" Happy called out.
"What?" Just then, his wings poofed away.
"My transformation ran out!"
"YOU STUPID CAT!" The two fell straight into the ocean. While Happy was struggling to swim back up, Lucy noticed something shining at the bottom, which happen to be her keys. Quickly grabbing them, she swam to the surface with a key facing upward. "Open, gate of the Water Bearer, Aquarius!" A golden light surrounded the key and before long, a blue fin mermaid with a ocean-like urn appeared next to her. "Quick, drown that ship!"
"Tch," the mermaid said.
"Don't 'tch' me!" Lucy said, though she would regret her decision as the spirit floated in front of her.
"Listen here blondie, if you ever drop my key or ever get it stolen again, I will kill you. Got it?" Aquarius said with a glare.
"Y-y-y-e-e-s-s-s madam." She squeaked as Aquarius roared and raised her vase, causing a massive tidal wave to swallow not only the ship, but Lucy and Happy. "Why me?!" A few seconds later, the ship crashed back to shore. Salamander and his grunts limped out of the wrecked ship. "Why did you hit me with the ship?!"
"Oh my bad, I didn't mean to hit the ship." Aquarius said with a smirk, getting Lucy pissed even more.
"So you wanted to hit me?!"
"Just be grateful that I decided to help. Now don't call me for a while, cause I'm going on a date, with my BOYFRIEND." The spirit said, emphasizing 'boyfriend.'
"Don't rub it in!" The celestial wizard yelled at the vanishing spirit.
"I got an idea, if she bothers you again, call me." Happy said.
"Why am I stuck with this stupid cat?" Lucy said with a defeated tone.
"What the hell was that?" Salamander questioned as he looked at looked at his beached ship.
"Man, it stopped moving," Natsu said as he got up with Yusei's arm around his shoulder. "Yo, you okay Yusei?"
"Just got a few scratches, I'm good." The Signer said, getting the pink-haired man to nod before looking at Salamander.
"You say you're part of Fairy Tail?" Natsu said darkly.
"Yeah, so what?" The 'Salamander' said as he motioned two of his goons to charge them.
"Let me take a good look at your face," Natsu said before taking off his coat. Natsu and Yusei's eyes met, and almost immediately, they came to an agreement as Natsu backhanded one goon while Yusei tripped the other before kicking him to the side. "I'm Natsu Dragneel of Fairy Tail, AND I'VE NEVER SEEN YOUR UGLY FACE BEFORE!" Lucy and Yusei were shocked at this reveal as they saw a red fairy mark on Natsu's right shoulder.
"No way! Natsu's a Fairy Tail wizard!" The blonde questioned.
'I guess that kinda explains why you felt something about him, huh Stardust?' Yusei asked his Duel Monster subconsciously.
"Yes, to find out he is a part of the guild Lucy wishes to join is a strange coincidence." Stardust said before he glared at Salamander, who looked shocked as well.
"Pink hair, scaly looking scarf, this guy's the real deal Bora!" One of the grunts said.
"Idiot! Don't use my real name!" 'Salamander' said, getting Yusei to narrow his eyes.
"I know him, Bora the Prominence. He was kicked out of the Titan Nose guild for bad behavior." Happy said with a frown.
"So, not only did you use a fake alias, but you also tried to sell girls for a quick buck." The Duelist said while clenching his fists. "You're going away for a long time." Suddenly, Yusei's deck on his left arm began to glow, surprising everyone there. 'What's going on? Wait….'
"Remember these words Yusei Fudo, you are your cards and your cards are you. They will help you whenever you feel the need to summon them" Talion's words rang in Yusei's mind.
'Could I?' He shook his shock as he drew the first card. "I summon Speed Warrior!" A light engulfed the card as it shattered. The light then appeared in front of him and Natsu, who just looked plain confused. When it died out, a man with a nozzle connected to his mouth and chest, goggles, gray armor and rollerblades under his shoes stood there. "Amazing."
"Holy crap that's cool!" Natsu said with stars in his eyes.
"What the hell?!" Bora questioned with bulged eyes.
'That looks like Celestial magic, but I've never heard of summoning through a card. Who are you Yusei?' Lucy thought as Happy just sat on her shoulder with a fish in hand.
"You called, Yusei?" The monster questioned as he looked at his duelist.
"These guys need to be taught a lesson." The Signer said, getting Speed Warrior to nod as he looked at the goons charging at him. The wheels on his heels fell on the ground as he skated towards them with impressive speed. Placing his hands on the floor, Speed Warrior began delivering a top kick, wiping out several goons.
"Okay, that's enough!" Bora called out as he fired several pink ball of flames at Speed Warrior, who was engulfed in the flames before is card returned to Yusei's deck. "You punks won't ruin my plans and get away with it!" He launched yet another ball of flames, which Natsu took with open arms.
"Natsu!" Yusei and Lucy called out, while Bora smirked as turned his attention towards Lucy.
*Munch, Munch*
"Yuck! You call yourself a fire wizard with these crap flames?" Natsu called in the flames, getting everyone to look in shock as the rest of it entered his mouth. "Whatever, thanks for the grub."
"AAAHHH!" Bora and his goons said in shock, as well as Lucy. Yusei just looked plain shocked.
"My, isn't that interesting? To say the least."Stardust said with an impressed manner, getting Yusei to nod.
"Uhh, Natsu? How did you do that?" Yusei questioned. Natsu turned to him with a toothy grin.
"That's my magic, Fire Dragon slayer magic." He then turned to Bora with his fists ignited. "Now I'm gonna use it to beat the crap outta this phony! Fire Dragon Roar!" He puffed his cheeks before spewing fire from his mouth, hitting all the grunts in front of him.
"How is he doing that?" Lucy questioned as Yusei walked next to her.
"He has dragon lungs to breath fire, dragon scales to dissolve flames, and dragon claws to wrap in fire" Happy explained as Natsu delivered a hard flame-coated fist onto Bora's gut. "It's an ancient magic that basically turns a person's body into that of a dragon."
"It was made to fight dragons, right?" Yusei interrupted, getting a nod from Happy and a shocked look from Lucy. "I remember reading something about Dragon Slayer magic back at the library. It's amazing." Suddenly, Yusei's deck began glowing once again, this time he heard a different voice.
"Yusei, use my power to defeat this man."Though he was unfamiliar with the speaker's voice, the Signer felt he could trust them. So he drew the next card and to his shock, it was Junk Warrior.
"Yusei, what card is that?" Lucy questioned as she observed the strange card in his hand.
"I see, okay Junk Warrior, it's you and me!" Yusei placed the card on his chest as an astral image of a purple body with machine-like eyes, a long silver scarf, and a larger right arm appeared in front of him.
"Wow, Lucy! I think I'm going crazy cause I see a ghost!" Happy said in fear as Lucy just watched in awe as the spirit merged with Yusei.
'What is going on here?' Lucy thought in shock.
"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" Natsu sent a swift punch on Bora's face, breaking his nose in the process. "This is the power of a Fairy Tail wizard, and don't you forget it!"
"S-stay away from me you monster!" Bora practically begged as he crawled back, only to get a kick in the jaw, courtesy of Yusei Fudo.
"Funny, that's what people will call you for what you did." He grabbed Bora by the collar to look at him dead in the eyes. "This is for kidnapping Lucy and all the innocent girls you and your gang have taken." His fist suddenly shined a bright gold as the spirit of Junk Warrior surrounded him. "Scrap Fist!" He delivered a devastating punch so hard, Bora was sent flying through several buildings before hitting a bell with an audible 'ding.' Yusei took a deep breath as he felt slightly exhausted from the attack. He looked at his hand to find Junk Warrior's card. 'Thanks for the assist.'
"Dude, that was so awesome!" Natsu yelled as Happy and Lucy met up with them.
"How did you do that?!" Lucy questioned. Before he could say anything, the sound of marching feet overtook the harbor….at least what's left of it. "The rune knights?!" Lucy felt her arm being grabbed, the culprit was Natsu Dragneel and he looked SCARED.
"Crap, we gotta go!" he then looked back at Yusei. "Hey man, you better hurry unless you're okay with going to jail!" Yusei raised a brow at the oncoming rune knights, which kinda reminded him of Sector Security.
"Feels kinda like old times." He said with little to no nostalgia in his voice as he took off running.
*CRASH*
The clouds suddenly began to form, surprising everyone as there was no news of rain. From said clouds came a thunderbolt that hit right in front of Yusei. When it died out, the Signer was shocked. "M-my Duel Runner?" Sure enough it was his Duel Runner, the same he used to run away from the light back in New Domino City.
"I suppose this really is like old times huh?"Stardust joked as Yusei jumped on his Runner, placing his helmet on and his deck in his duel disk before riding to catch Natsu and Lucy(along with a flying Happy), who looked shocked at his new vehicle.
"Where'd you get that?!" Lucy questioned as Yusei opened the right side of his seat.
"I'll explain later, jump on!"
"No way! I'm not getting on that thing!" Natsu yelled as he increased his speed, though he didn't go far as Lucy pulled him on the duel runner, making him sick, "God….damn it." the last thing The rune knights saw was the Runner going into the woods with a pink haired teen, a blonde and a flying blue cat.
And there is the first chapter of Fairy Tail: War Beyond Worlds! I changed a few things here and there in this chapter, such as the number of Champions that will appear(which is fourteen).
Now, I know this is basically the first episode of Fairy Tail, but I will change several of the arcs, adding a few elements that will push everyone to their limits. I know you guys don't want a copy and paste of Hiro Mashima's work, and I don't want to disrespect him.
Anyways, for Yusei's new power, I call it "Duel Magic." It will allow him to not only summon his monsters and use their powers(whenever he uses their powers, it's like how Vixen from DC uses his necklace to call upon the powers of the Animal Kingdom), but also use his spell and traps. For now, I don't plan on him dueling anyone, but you never know in the future.
And as I said, this story may not be updated as frequently as I would like it, but this time, I won't give up halfway.
Follow, Fav, Review and PM for anything.
Next time: Welcome to Fairy Tail!
But… we aren't done yet….
'Unknown location'
In a dark plane of existence, a lone figure was seated in a large throne, their chin resting against their right hand. In front of them….. Was a large mirror, which showed a recording of Yusei's arrival in Hargeon, his meeting with Natsu and Lucy, and his attack on Bora the Prominence.
"So….. the Overseers have decided to do something rather than watch. How ... predictable." The figure said in a dark and menacing tone. They then smirked as several portals opened behind them, with multiple shadows walking out of them. "You know what you must do, my Children."
"Yes father, we will not fail you." The shadows all kneeled, their heads bowed out of respect.
All the 'Father' did was chuckle lightly as they continued to watch Yusei drive away in his Duel Runner.
"This may be an interesting game yet."
