Chapter 125 Summary! from ch 101-125.

If there are concurrent events happening in the same chapter, I will be listing Slayer first, because his timeline is a bit more consistant. Faze's story has slightly more deviation, because he's in a large organization. Some things just happen without his direct input, hence things sometimes moving faster or slower to the pace of the writing. If a Chapter has only Faze, or only Slayer - the times may be off by a day or two.

Concerning the characters - The Names that were used recently will be listed. Some names will be dropped off if their users were killed etc...

Characters:

The Guide

A young man whose entire village has been destroyed by The Lunatic Cultist at behest of The Resistance to fuel The Hero's summoning ritual. His lineage is tied to a derivative of The Moon Lord - The Wall of Flesh by The Dryad's blessing. He is a compassionate soul, but increasingly finds himself needing to make harder and more dubious decisions. Has slowly become far more wily and readily lies and employs emotional manipulation to tilt circumstances in his favor.

The Slayer, The Monster Knight, The Terrarian

A ruthless half-Terrarian who fights with a bow and a sword. (Ranger/Melee). Boasts a great number of supernatural abilities which indicate his unnatural origins. A by product of The Lunatic Cultist's summoning, he was at one time proud and utilitarian, but has since been humbled. Has close relation to The Guide, who for better or for worse, considers an authority and confidant. Much of his thinking is childish, but he realizes this, and as a result behaves himself in a cautious manner for fear his own ignorance will be his downfall. Is sometimes subject to fits of infantile rage where he cannot be reasoned with.

The Hero, Faze, The Man in Red/Black

A magic wielding Terrarian of tremendous strength (magic/rogue). His innate abilities are unmatched and his magical knowledge is formidable - but his tender age and naivety hold him back. An immensely proud entity, he was created to fight on behalf of The Resistance, but rankles at the idea of submitting to authority. After a series of difficult trials, he finds his magic entirely locked away by a mysterious, perhaps hallucinogenic, entity he calls 'Doppleganger'. He has obtained for himself an impressive collection of spell tattoos and Unlimited Buffs.

The Sea King, Amidas

The King of R'lyeh: an underwater city that, after being destroyed by Calamitas, is now known as The Sunken Sea. He is one of the founding members of The Resistance with a grudge against King Yharim and the Calamitas. Allies with The Lunatic Cultist, as both have the ambition to raise The Moon Lord; he is a sly and ruthless tactician.

The Party Girl, The Spy, The Agent

An agent of Yharim's Clandestine Corps. She is a fearsome warrior who is devoted above all else to The King and his cause. She has temporarily allied with The Guide and The Slayer because of their potential usefulness to her mission. Unbeknownst to her, her lack of contact with central command has caused her to fall into delinquency with her organization.

Braelor, The Resistance Commander

A powerful fighter who leads The Resistance. His goal is to maintain The Coalition of small armies that have gathered to fight Yharim. It was he that had commissioned The Hero be created. Having been

The Lunatic Cultist, The Cultist

A powerful and high ranking mage previously in Yharim's service. Defected to The Resistance and is the 'summoner' of The Hero and The Slayer. A worshipper of Cthulhu and an ally to The Sea King, Amidas. He is the object of The Guide's revenge.

The Archmage

An old sorcerer who was once an old resistance ally, but his opposition to their methods led to a wedge between them. He is a powerful mage who was imprisoned by Yharim as Cryogen. Freed by The Hero.

The Dryad

An ancient forest sprit with a poor memory but a great deal of arcane wisdom. Her primary goal is to battle off The Moon Lord and its derivatives. Her goal is to keep The Guide safe and alive, and wishes him to continue his bloodline for the sake of The Seal(blessing) in his blood. Had become good friends with The Slayer, and treats him as if she would a pet.

The Stylist

A pink haired woman who has been blessed by The Dryad. She has an indecisive personality and has gone travelling because she is searching for her missing little brother.

Subplots:

1) Guide vs Dryad A hundred years ago, The Dryads had planted a seal in the blood of The Guide's ancestors. So long as members of that village were alive - The Seal holding The Crimson back would continue to do so. This comes with the consequence of all members of The Guide's village becoming part of The Wall when they died. Naturally, The Guide is horrified to discover this, and decides he must destroy The Crimson for the sake if his family's souls. This is why he directs The Slayer to fight The EOC etc... He discovers that he is the last link that is holding The WOF from being freed. He intends to Strengthen The Slayer so that he will be able to kill WOF, and then kill himself. The Dryad's goal is not to defeat The Crimson, but rather contain it. She thinks it is far too risky to try to fight it because the entire Dryad race was unable to truly destroy each of The Moon Lord's Derivatives. The Safest bet for the world is to keep the seal intact, and she accuses The Guide of being selfish for not wishing to sacrifice himself and his family for the greater good. The Blessing propogates in the blood, so she encourages The Guide to have some kids, and revives The Stylist to serve as his 'mate'. Naturally, both are horrified with the prospect.

2) Archmage vs Lunatic Cultist The Archmage was one of The Lunatic Cultist's many teachers in his youth. When The Cultist began dabbling in Eldritch magic and was driven insane by it - The Archmage tried to strip him of his magic, claiming insane sorcerers were very dangerous. Normally if a sorcerer went insane, the moment they used their magic they just exploded. Very rarely somebody survives. The Lunatic Cultist is one of these, and he has a great grudge against The Archmage because of their past.

3) Party Girl vs Resistance Heads The Party Girl has been MIA for longer than is permissible by Imperial Policy. By now, CC Central Command will have thought she defected or fled from her duty. If she wants to return home, she imagines she must bring with her the head of somebody very impressive, lest she be executed for treason. Initially, she wanted to kill Amidas, but after he escaped (and The Slayer was unable to track him after heavy rain) she fell into despair.

4) Hero vs Resistance Heads The Hero, having been initially created to serve The Resistance, behaves rebelliously towards his masters. He refuses to obey Braelor in full view of the many groups that form up The Resistance coalition. This causes Braelor to publicly discipline him to keep up the image that The Resistance controls The Hero (as the only reason the coalition came together was the promise of an invincible soldier fighting on their behalf). Unfortunately, The Hero is cast to his original spawn point - the remains of The Guide's village - and suffers a thousand deaths by The Perforaters. He is fetched by The Lunatic Cultist, but is still suffering trauma from the experience. In an effort to break his spirit entirely, and hopefully scare him badly enough that he will never raise his hand against The Resistance again - as Braelor knows making an enemy out of a Terrarian is suicide - The Resistance command sends The Hero across The Corruption to kill Cryogen. He was not supposed to win this battle - but survives anyways. The Archmage takes him up and the two of them begin working together.

5) Archmage vs Resistance Heads The Archmage has always despised The Resistance's increasingly brutal methods. Does not have a good relationship with The Current Resistance heads, but works with them anyways because he hates Yharim even more. Goes out of his way to undermine Braelor's power by claiming he sent The Hero to his death.

6) Hero vs Doppelganger A hallucinogenic entity which split from The Hero during his traumatic experiences in The Crimson after being slain by Braelor. The Entity seems to be attached to his magic, and its effects seize him whenever he tries to cast spells. Because Doppelganger's side effects are so severe - The Hero has sworn off Magic for the time being, even knowing his is severely weakened without it.

Summary:

Chapter 101: The Faith of The Blind (Day 18, Evening)

The Slayer, having been accosted by The Dryad, is told The Guide wishes to kill himself to destroy The Crimson. Initially, The Slayer does not believe her - as he trusts The Guide completely and he had promised he wouldn't die. Eventually, she managed to plant the seeds of doubt in his mind. At that moment, The Guide bursts in and demands that The Slayer kill The Dryad.

The Lunatic Cultist is out searching for The Hero, but is unable to find him via scrying or any other means. Suspects that The Archmage is responsible for The Hero's sudden disappearance. Reveals he and The Archmage have a bad history. In the past, The Archmage had accused The Cultist of insanity and attempted to strip away his magic.

Chapter 102: A Frolic in The Jungle (Day 19, Afternoon)

The Hero - who is now embracing the moniker he created for himself: 'Faze' is in awe as he travels through The Jungle for the first time as part of the Jungle Expedition. He wears a vanity set to blend in, hiding his armour beneath as he tentatively bonds with The Steampunker, who has quickly developed a crush on him. Displays his social incompetence.

The Lunatic Cultist confronts The Archmage, breaking into his castle and destroying his furniture in an unsuccessful attempt to intimidate. The Archmage recounts how insanity effects most magicians - how the effects lead to great power, but almost immediate death or incapitation. Sometimes an insane magician survived, but it is not clear how. The Lunatic Cultist is one of these insane magicians (Calamitas is the other known one). The Cultist demands to know where The Hero is, The Archmage refuses to tell him - claiming he has taken a liking to the boy.

Chapter 103: A Powerful Lie (Day 19, Early Morning)

The Guide, when unable to simply command The Slayer to kill The Dryad, resorts to lying about her intentions. He claims The Dryad wants to kill him, and threatens that he will need to flee if The Slayer refuses to protect him. After a great deal of argument, The Slayer discloses The Dryad claimed he wanted to kill himself, and demands that he will obey him if only The Guide promise not to do so. Demands that when everything is finished, The Guide will not expire and leave him all alone. The Guide - knowing he intends to do exactly that - promises anyways.

Chapter 104: What's Said and Done (Day 19, Morning)

Having just slain The Dryad, The Slayer is overwhelmed by guilt and regret. Begins to doubt The Guide's intentions and mourns that he had been convinced to kill his friend with his own two hands. He tries to erase all evidence of The Dryad, and had spent the evening dismantling Amidas's castle. The Guide approaches him and after a brief - cold - conversation, they set off into The Crimson to face The Brain.

The Lunatic Cultist, having returned to his tower to continue scrying for The Hero, is interrupted by a group of Goblins, which have returned to report on the raid on The Compound. The Goblin Tinkerer in tow, they tell The Cultist there was a single warrior that killed all The Members of that Goblin Army. The Cultist wonders if that single warrior might be The Hero, and sets out to investigate.

Chapter 105: The Queen Bee (Day 19, Late Afternoon)

The Jungle Expedition, led by The Tavernkeep, has been tasked with collecting various reagents including honey. Faze and The Steampunker had lagged behind to observe the scenery as the rest of the group worked extracting honey from a tremendous beehive. One of the overzealous members climbs inside and breaks the larvae - summoning The Queen Bee. The Queen Bee arrives and everyone flees as it kills two and injures several more. Just as The Queen Bee is about to kill The Bandit, The Hero and The Steampunker catch up with The Group. Faze, unable to hit his target with a thrown knife, stabs The Queen Bee in the head with his knife after it grabs him. It dies immediately, in full view of the surviving expedition members. The Bandit concludes that because of his strength, she needs to make Faze her ally. Offers to teach him how to throw a knife.

The Party Girl wakes up from a night of heavy drinking and sees The Lunatic Cultist in her living room. She berates herself for becoming so inebriated she cannot even fight The Cultist - who's death is her ticket back to her old life. The Cultist asks her if she's seen a man with white hair with black and Red Armour. She lies and says yet - and that they'll be back in three days. (She just needs two days to rig the place and vomit up the alcohol). The Lunatic Cultist agrees to come back at that time.

Chapter 106: The Seeds of Doubt (Day 19, Late Afternoon)

The Guide and The Slayer travel through The Crimson in search of the entrance of the organ chambers. Amidas had left a map and instructions to The Guide concerning how to summon the Brain of Cthulhu before he left for The Resistance (a week ago?) and The Guide is trying to follow the landmarks. The Slayer is having an existential crisis as he wonders if The Guide is really being honest or not. He reflects that almost everything he did was done because of The Guide - that The Guide was able to convince him to do just about anything, whether he wants it or not. He wonders if he should have killed The Dryad after all, or if he should have left The Compound to go with Amidas to The Resistance. They find the mouth of the tunnel that leads into The Crimson Organ Chambers and begin to descend.

The Archmage is in The Lunatic Cultist's Resistance Quarters, looking for the blueprints used to summon The Hero. His intention is to move The Hero's spawn point out of The Hostile Crimson in order that he no longer needs to fear death. However, he cannot find the blueprints. Concludes that they must be stored in The Cultist's old quarters in the depths of The Dungeon. Decides he will ask The Hero to go down there, kill everything, and look for the documents.

The Tavernkeep is shocked to see how easily Faze killed The Queen Bee. He quickly comes to the conclusion that Faze must be The Rogue Hero - who fled The Resistance and had disappeared. It is an important directive to recapture The Hero, and The Tavernkeep decides the easiest way to do so is to kill him. (Resistance knows where Hero will respawn). Decides that this is something work sacrificing for, and catches the glow of Plantera's bulb from the corner of his eye.

Chapter 107: Plantera (Day 19, Late Afternoon)

The Bandit finishing teaching The Hero basic rogue technique, and is amazed with how quickly he masters it. Shortly afterwards they move into a larger chambers, where The Hero sees The Tavernkeep sneaking about. He watches as The Tavernkeep yanks a large onion (Plantera Bulb) out of the ground, then swiftly goes to hide himself. Plantera arrives and The Hero is forced to fight it. He defeats it with only rogue skills - for fear that using magic will trigger doppelganger. During the battle, The Bandit is injured.

Chapter 108: The Beginning of Rebellion (Day 19, Night)

The Guide and The Slayer are travelling down The Crimson tunnels in order to fight The Brain. The Guide ponders his current situation - recognizing that The Slayer is very unhappy with him. Is thankful that The Slayer is generally slow to make decisions, but The Guide knows he will eventually wear out his welcome. This is why he is pushing so hard to kill The Crimson bosses in quick succession, otherwise he will not be able to finish his mission before The Slayer grows tired of him. They reach the Organ Chambers and destroy the last heart - summoning BoC.

The Steampunker runs into the area Faze fought Plantera after the noises of battle die down. She is worried for his well being because she has a crush on him, but is also nervous because she suspects he is not human, and rather one of Draedon's genetically enhanced experiments. She finds The Bandit with a thorn jutting out of her leg. She calls for help, and sees The Tavernkeep (Team Leader)'s bald head shining near the bottom of the chamber. She runs to ask for his help with The Bandit when he finds him dead - pinned to a mud bank with his eyes gouged out and Faze's blade embedded in his chest. Horrified, she decides Faze must be Yharim's agent, and decides to play it dumb lest he kill her too. Her intention is to bring him back to The Resistance, and out him there such that there are ample resources to capture and kill him. Faze seems to have no remorse, nor think anything is strange having just killed somebody, so he thinks nothing of her when she tells him to take his knife out of The Tavernkeep's corpse and hurry back to The Resistance.

The Lunatic Cultist shares with The Sea King what he found in The Compound. Amidas tells The Cultist about The Slayer, and how he is a very dangerous pseudo Terrarian. Tells The Cultist that if he cannot find The Hero, he should just kidnap The Slayer instead. The Cultist agrees. (So I sort of forgot I wrote this little excerpt, and there is a moment in time where The Cultist, having kidnapped The Slayer, thinks its The Hero instead. It has no bearing on the story though as only some lines of dialogue would have been changed.)

Chapter 109: The Brain of Cthulhu (Day 20, Morning)

The Slayer kills The Brain of Cthulhu, which is an amalgamation of all the minds of every conscious being that was ever killed in The Crimson. As such, The BoC has access to a thousand lives worth of memories. It is essentially a supercomputer that knows everything. It attempts to overwhelm and seize The Slayer's mind with psychic power, but finds he is far too embroiled in instinctive bloodlust to be controlled. In a last ditch effort, The Brain tries to fry his nerves and confuse him by overwhelming him with the memories of a thousand lives - hopefully causing him to lose his identity. This goes out as an electrical 'wave' and The Guide - who is hiding above, is also subject to it. The Terrarian shakes off the attack and kills The Brain of Cthulhu.

Chapter 110: Gaslight (Day 20, Afternoon)

The Stylist watches The Party Girl run around rigging The Compound up for battle, and decides she needs to go snooping. She is a kleptomaniac and attempts to justify her actions, saying she is gathering information and resources to continue her search for her missing little brother. Sneaks into The Guide's home and steals his journal - which she cannot read because it is written in code.

The Hero is nervous and confused at the actions of the rest of his expedition crew. They are treating him coldly (because most suspect he is not human). Faze wonders what else he needs to do to gain friendship, as he has saved all of their lives twice in quick succession. When he overhears the crowd suspecting who he is, and that they intend to report him to Braelor for interrogation, The Hero runs ahead and flees to The Archmage Castle.

The Slayer is utterly confused by the rush of memories The BoC inflicted upon him. So much so, that he doesn't know which memories are his and which aren't as everything fades into obscurity and forgetfulness. The Guide, with his photographic memory, had managed to add to himself the knowledge of The Brain, but The Slayer finds even his original memories have been scrambled quite severely and will take time to right themselves. The Guide takes advantage of the situation to falsely remind The Slayer that he really wants to kill the rest of the crimson derivatives, and leads him out of The Organ chambers with the intention of going to a Sky Island.

Chapter 111: The White Castle (Day 20, Sunset/Day 21, Afternoon)

The Hero arrives to The Archmage's castle so annoyed, he destroys all the delicate ice as he marches his way up to The Archmage's library. The old man ponders the intentions of The Resistance as he calmly watches his castle being destroyed. The Hero bursts in to complain about not being able to make friends, and how everyone hates him. The Archmage explains the situation to him, but The Hero is upset nonetheless. After a bit of coaxing, The Archmage takes the ingredients he requires from The Hero's expedition and makes him a set of Cryo wings from the chandelier. Tells him to go fly around and clear his head, but to come home when he is called. The Hero becomes very excited at the prospect and leaves happily.

(Day 21, Afternoon) The Guide ponders all the newfound knowledge that was suddenly thrust upon him. Instead of going mad, like a normal person, his photographic memory and the Dryad Blessing in his blood has allowed him to see the millions of memories and access them as one would access a library. The Guide is already taking advantage of his newly expanded mind by visiting a floating island over The Crimson - 'remembering' where to find it because an adventurer had died on his journey there. The Guide, now armed with knowledge far beyond his own, is continuing to strengthen The Slayer. Wants to make him an Aerospec set because he knows he stands no chance against The Wall with his current strength. The Terrarian is climbing up to The Floating island with The Guide on his back. They arrive up on the island, but after a moment - somebody zooms past them so quickly, it breaks the sound barrier.

Chapter 112: Perferators (Day 21, Late Afternoon)

The Hero, with his newfound wings and newfound freedom is flying back from The Crimson plains back to The Resistance. He had just spent all of yesterday (Day 21) killing The Perferators in a type of 'revenge' and finds the experience cathartic. Wonders if doing this will cause The Doppelganger to release its hold on him, but does not test this theory. As he's soaring through the air, he sees a glint of gold in the distance. The Hero pulls out his magic mirror in case he is attacked, because he is getting a threatening vibe from The man in Gold. He activates the mirror to teleport home, and Yharim covers 30 miles in a tenth of a second to seize him by the throat. He mentions the archmage before The Hero teleports home.

The Guide and The Slayer have holed up in The Sky Island's building to craft Aerospec armour. The Slayer had been scared quite badly by The 'Somebody' that zoomed past the island faster than he could react (It was The Hero) and would not rest until he completed his armour upgrade. The Slayer is murdering harpies for their feathers when he comes in to report to The Guide that he saw a Man in Black (The Hero, again) killing The Perforators. The Guide requests that they go check it out.

Chapter 113: Tiers of Strength (Day 21, Late Evening/Day 22, Morning)

The Guide and The Slayer have flown down to the site of battle where Faze killed The Worms. The Slayer ponders to himself why he seems to distrust The Guide, and wonders if he has forgotten something very important in that flood of memory. He is careful not to show too much emotion and is cautious and distrustful. The Slayer observes the landscape where The Man in Red/Black had fought. He sees the evidence of his overwhelming power and is in awe and disappointed in his own strength. He knows instinctively he will lose should he ever face The Hero in combat.

The Archmage senses that The Hero has teleported home and walks into the foyer to find him on the ground clinging to the couch. The Hero is all freaked out, and after a bit of prodding, reveals he was accosted by Yharim himself! The Archmage reveals that Yharim has tracked his magical signature, and as a result will dispell any of his magic on The Hero. The Hero wonders if Yharim will just find and kill The Archmage instead, but the old man does not answer him - instead instructing him to head to the dungeon and find the blueprints for his own summoning.

Braelor is on the front lines, so Statis is the current head of The Resistance. They are dealing with a suspected spy named 'Faze' and quickly realize that he is The Hero. They cannot reveal to the public that The Hero and the suspected spy are the same person, lest the already tenuous coalition splinter. A bounty is put on 'Faze's' head, and The Sea King goes off to confront The Archmage. The Cultist heads to The Compound, as three days are nearly up.

Chapter 114: A Search for the Missing Children (Day 22, Afternoon)

The Hero travels along the coast of The Sulfurous Sea on his way to The Dungeon. He ponders what will happen if Yharim finds The Archmage, and his heart aches - for The Archmage was the only person to show him kindness on this earth yet. The Hero also wonders if interacting with people has made him soft - as when he had nobody he easily slew anyone who stood in his way. Now that he has precious things, he is slowly realizing the weight of killing others. As he approaches The Dungeon, he senses The Aquatic Scourge eyeing him from beneath the waves. He prepares for battle.

Amidas accosts The Archmage, telling him he is under arrest for interfering with Resistance assets. Accuses him of being in thrall to The Tyrant after a hundred years imprisoned. An explosive perimerter is set up around The Archmage such that he cannot leave. Archmage will soon be put on trial for suspected Treason.

The Lunatic Cultist approches The Compound and sees the residents within. He sees The Guide and The Slayer returning to The Compound from the Sea of Crimson, and suspects that The Slayer is The Hero, as they both move with a strange, weightless gait. He descends.

Chapter 115: Stranger Danger (Day 22, Late Afternoon)

The Party Girl is excited as The Lunatic Cultist descends and triggers her trap. The blood of CC Agents can be used to make anything inert to magic, so she believes she had managed to catch him, and is about to decapitate him when she realizes she has accosted a clone. The Lunatic Cultist summons a lightning ball and is about to kill The Party Girl with it when a volley of arrows shoots out and bursts the ball of lightning. The Party Girl flees and The Slayer enters - concerned that the grass in his beloved lawn is burnt. Does not suspect The Cultist to be powerful, and insists he paints the grass back to green. Gets kidnapped.

The Aquatic Scourge is killed by The Hero, ending its mindless hunger for good.

An Imperial Patrol encounters a Lizardman traveling out of the jungle as they head north - they leave him be. They are closing in in search of The Resistance Stronghold. Rumor has it that once they pinpoint the location, Yharim himself will destroy the base.

Chapter 116: Disgusting (Day 22, Night)

The Hero is deep in the bowels of The Dungeon in his search for the summoning documents The Archmage insists must be here. As he descends, he mows down innumerable spirits until he faces off against a group of cultists and a Paladin. He demands that The Cultist minions bring him to the documents he is requesting, but they refuse. He swears to destroy them.

The Slayer appears on The Sulfurous Sea's shores with The Lunatic Cultist. The Cultist is very angry at his insolent display against him, and yells at him and shakes him by the helmet until The Slayer abandons his helm and rolls free. At that point, The Cultist realizes that The Slayer is not The Hero (Note in Ch 108) but decides he still wants to make use of him, because he must be The Pseudo-Terrarian. The Slayer attacks him to no avail. The Cultist decides he will test his strength, and summons Skeletron out of The Dungeon.

Chapter 117: Skeletron (Day 22, Night)

The Guide freaks out when he returns to The Compound to find out that The Slayer had been kidnapped by The Lunatic Cultist. He yells at The Party Girl for a bit then goes home and sulks.

The Slayer is overcome with his strong compulsion to kill bosses, and leaps into battle against Skeletron while The Cultist spectates. Upon concluding that The Slayer is a vicious fighter and far more docile than his 'brother' (The Hero), The Cultist decides he will take him in. The Cultist theorizes that he had summoned two Terrarians instead of one, but notes the oddities in The Slayer - and that he has something base and feral in his members.

The Hero, having seen Cthulhu's corpse in the bottom floor of The Dungeon, is fleeing The Dungeon like a bat out of hell. He had found the documents he was looking for, but his curiousity led him to go see what was at the bottom of The Dungeon. During his flight, The Hero smashed all the experiments, Killed most of the Cultist Minions, and frees The Mechanic.

Chapter 118: First Confrontation (Day 22, Late Night)

Please see the comic on Discord/Imgur. It really is worth checking out. /a/gO3okso

The Cultist is attempting to convince The Slayer to join him and be The Resistance 'Hero' when The real Hero steps out. There is a spell cast over the area that prevents anyone from teleporting in or out, so when The Hero tries to leave, he is detected. The Slayer recognizes The Hero as 'The Man in Red' and attempts to engage him in combat. He is badly thrashed, then killed. The Hero is not so concerned with The Slayer as he is with The Cultist, claiming if he shows weakness, he will most certainly be dragged back to be executed by Braelor. The Lunatic Cultist coerces him to use magic as a finishing blow, and the Hero suffers a rebound from Doppelganger.

Chapter 119: The Bigger Fish (Day 22, Late Night)

Chapter 118 from The Slayer's perspective. He decides he needs to fight to escape and go home. Is absolutely terrified having lain eyes on 'The Man in Red'. They exchange a few blows before The Hero becomes annoyed and thrashes him. As The Slayer lays dying, he thinks about how badly he wants to go home and see The Guide before Magical spears thrust from the ground and pierce his heart.

The Rebound was so bad that The Hero ended up fainting. He wakes up to The Lunatic Cultist excitedly telling him he must have developed an insane split personality - 'Doppelganger' and as a result will be able to wield very powerful magic through it. However the personality needs to be sealed away - only to be used as a conduit. The Hero did not tell The Archmage about this because The Archmage had previously made known he would strip insane sorcerers of their magic, due to the danger those posed to themselves and others. Cultist makes a deal with The Hero - saying he will not tell Statis & Braelor about him & Seal away the Doppelganger in exchange for The Hero helping to move Cthulhu's seal. The Hero Agrees.

Chapter 120: The Traitor (Day 22, Late Night)

The Guide mulls over The Terrarian in his mind. Become worried that The Terrarian has abandoned him or died, and will not fulfill his mission. Gravely considers how manipulative and terrible he is being, but ultimately decides that the ends justify the means. He feels terrible about killing himself, but resolves to do it anyways. He is disturbed by the arrival of The Witch Doctor in The Compound.

The Lunatic Cultist is enraged to discover The Hero had gone down into the dungeon to kill all of his minions, but is relieved to discover the Dreaming God is still intact. They Begin the extraction process.

The Twins (boss) are scouring the land in search of The Archmage's magic signature.

Chapter 121: On The Cusp of Renewal (Day 23, Very Early Morning)

The Slayer, unbeknownst to him, has respawned back on The Red Brick Patio - his set spawn point. He is severely weakened from being killed and finds form to be partially undeveloped. He is unable to move or see, but The Guide finds him and comforts him.

The Lunatic Cultist seals The Hero's Doppelganger away whilst explaining why having a doppelganger will strengthen him. (The Essence of magic is chaos/insanity. An insane mage is very powerful because his mental state is in tune with Magic. To be 'sane' and also 'insane' is the best way to be. Worm Trauma = split personality. One personality went crazy, hence The Hero has Doppelganger which is immensely powerful. If Doppelganger is sealed away, The majority of that 'insane' power is The Hero's to wield.)

Archmage sent a letter to Braelor vindicating himself. He requests that he come back to The Resistance for fear that Yharim is tracking The Archmage's magic, and also that Braelor allow him to leave the premises such that if Yharim finds him, He won't find the Resistance HQ as well.

Chapter 122: Anxiety, Exhaustion (Day 23, Morning)

The Guide frets over The Slayer all night, dreadfully worried for his condition. The harsh words he spoke about 'using The Slayer for his own purposes' contrast sharply with his actions. He notices that The Slayer's teeth, eyes etc... and still mid-development, but seem to be slowly healing as he sleeps. He had never slept before, so The Guide is very nervous. After a while, he decides to go visit The Witch Doctor to make sure he's not going to get in the way of his mission.

The Hero comes home, only to be yelled at by The Archmage because he was out too long. The Archmage is nervous that Yharim had managed to kidnap or kill him. Admits to himself that he cares rather deeply for The Hero, but knows he will die soon - as Yharim is looking for him. He immedietly sets about moving The Hero's spawn point out of The Crimson.

Chapter 123: A Cursed Doll (Day 23, Afternoon)

The Guide speaks to The Witch Doctor and requests information on Voodoo Dolls. Eventually reveals he wishes to kill himself, and obtains a list of ingredients needed to make such a doll. This includes: A thumb bone, a pint of blood, an Ear, Three molars.

The Sea King and The Lunatic Cultist observe that Cthulhu has been transported to an enchanted chamber beneath The Resistance, without anyone knowing. They work on reinforcing the seal, and mention that the Resistance had given them The Mechanic (a kidnapped Apprentice or Draedon) to work on reinforcing The Moon Lord.

Chapter 124: Bastard (Day 24, Morning)
