Memories Of Willow Creek

That night at the Moondance camp, Carmina saw Rafael getting his wardrobe packed.

"You need your rest, my son." Carmina gently said to Rafael.

"I know, Mother, but I can't possibly go to bed now," Rafael protested, stifling a yawn. "I'm too excited about going to Auradon Prep beginning tomorrow!"

"A young man needs his rest." Carmina said.

"I'm just so excited," Rafael protested. "I think I'll get on my motorcycle and go for a ride."

Rafael ran out of the caravan to get on his motorcycle shortly after closing up his suitcases.

"When it comes to that girl of his, Rafael has a one track mind!" Carmina exclaimed.

Outside the trailer, Rafael got on his motorcycle and sped off toward the Atwood residence.

A few minutes later, Lisa stirred and opened her eyes, she had awakened to the sound of pebbles pinking off the glass in her bedroom window.

Climbing out of bed, Lisa pulled on a robe and went to the window.

Lisa pulled open the window just in time for another pebble to ping off her forehead.

"Sorry," came the quiet reply. "I didn't see you open the window it's too dark! Would you like to go for a moonlight ride?"

"Okay," replied Lisa, "just a minute!"

Lisa dressed and snuck down the stairs.

When she got to nearby corner where Rafael was parked, he started to crank the motorcycle.

"I'm ready whenever you are." Rafael called.

"Rafa," Lisa gasped. "are you crazy?"

"What?" Rafael said, confused.

"You can't crank that thing this close to the house!" Lisa replied.

"Why?" Rafael asked.

"One word," Lisa replied. "Melanie! You know my sister is a light sleeper and the biggest snitch in the county!"

"Oh, yeah." Rafael said, mentally kicking himself for his absent-mindedness.

"Rafael, I have an idea, " Lisa suggested. "how about we walk your motorcycle a block or two away, then you can start it?"

"Good thinking, Lisa." Rafael said.

Rafael and Lisa walked the motorcycle a fair distance away.

Rafael then climbed aboard and started the motorcycle.

Rafael held out his hand.

"Climb aboard, my fair lady." Rafael called over the roar of the engine, tossing a helmet to Lisa.

"What?" Lisa yelled over the roar of the engine, putting the helmet on.

Rafael turned the engine off.

"Climb aboard, my fair lady." Rafael said again.

Lisa put the helmet on, "Yes, kind sir." she smiled.

Lisa climbed into the sidecar and Rafael started the motor again.

Lisa and Rafael rode back to their houses to collect their luggage.

While Lisa and Rafael were at Rafael and Carmina's caravan, Rafael grabbed his luggage while Lisa saw the sun rising over the horizon.

"Oh my gosh," Lisa exclaimed. "Rafael! We've been up all night!"

Rafael entered the living room with his bags in hand.

"We have to load up our horses and catch our flight!" Rafael exclaimed.

After they reached the airport after loading up their horses, Rafael and Lisa met up with Carole, Liam, Stevie, and Phil.

"I'm so tired." Lisa yawned.

"Tell me about it." Rafael yawned in agreement with Lisa.

"Good thing I thought to get us all coffee." Carole said, handing out travel mugs from JB's.

"Oh! You're a lifesaver!" Lisa said to Carole.

Carole handed a strong black coffee to Rafael.

"Thank you, Carole." Rafael said, taking his coffee.

Carole handed coffees to each Stevie, Phil, "Thank you." they said.

A few minutes later, the gang was on the plane headed for Auradon.

Lisa and Rafael had been lulled to sleep by the rhythm and hum of the plane and the fact that they had been up so late the night before.

Liam and Phil were talking about what to expect at this new school.

"I know that going to Auradon Prep is a great opportunity," Phil sighed. "but I feel a little like I didn't have a choice."

"Why do you say that?" Liam asked Phil.

"The first and most important reason that I agreed to come is because I didn't want to lose Stevie." Phil admitted. "if I had stayed in Willow Creek I would have been in a long distance relationship and those don't always work."

Liam shrugged, "Well if you really feel this way you're going to have to talk to Stevie about it eventually."

"I know, but I don't want her to ever think that I would expect her to choose between her best friends and me." Phil said to Liam.

"But..." Liam began.

But Phil shushed Liam.

"Shhh," Phil hissed. "the girls are coming back."

Carole and Stevie had been to the little girl's room.

"Hey what are you guys talking about?" Stevie asked.

"Oh, nothing!" Phil said quickly.

"Are you sure your not talking about that?" Stevie chuckled, pointing.

Phil turned and looked to find that Rafael had flopped over in his sleep and his head was now on Phil's shoulder.

"What the!" Phil exclaimed exasperated, he pushed Rafael's head off his shoulder and back over onto his own seat.

Rafael never stirred.

"Man, they are really out!" Liam observed.

"They were up really late last night." Stevie said.

"Yeah," Carole said. "Lisa said Rafael came by last night and took her on a moonlight ride."

"They didn't get back in bed last night until after three in the morning!" Stevie said.

"Man," Phil said. "they'll flunk out of Auradon Prep in the first semester if they keep staying out that late!"

A few hours later, the plane landed and Stevie, Phil, Liam, Carole, Lisa, and Rafael grabbed their bags and prepared to leave the aircraft.

As Lisa, Rafael, Liam, Carole, Stevie, and Phil stepped off the jet, Ben, Mal, and Doug stepped forward.

"Welcome to Auradon, I'm King Ben, and this is my wife, Queen Mal, and this is Doug who will be taking care of your school needs." Ben said.

"A pleasure to meet you, your majesties, Doug." Rafael acknowledged.

"The pleasure is ours, Mal and I have a royal function to attend." Ben said to Rafael.

"We'll leave you in the capable hands of Doug." Mal said.

After Mal and Ben left, Doug turned to the group of six.

"If all of you will follow me, I have transportation waiting at the end of the runway, I'll get you settled into Auradon Prep, and answer any questions you have." Doug said.

In Chad Charming's old dorm bedroom, Rafael was unpacking his bags.

When he heard a voice calling his name.

"Rafael," the voice called. "come to me! Come to me, Rafael."
