(Leo Pov)
Fear was all that Leo thought when he was swallowed whole the earth, that fear slowly turned into panic, when he could hear one of his best Percy Jackson was in head to head combat with the primordial of the earth, Gaea.
That panic slowly turned to dread, when he heard water shooting out of the earth, that dread quickly turned into hope when the dirt surrounding him collapsed on itself, and he saw the remains of the battle field.
There was a lot of gold ichor on the battlefield, probably the remains of the monsters that were on the battlefield, then there was the ground itself, There was mud and puddles of water around the center of the battle field.
The first person he saw was Annabeth, one of his fellow members of the prophecy of seven, running right by him, not even asking if he was ok. Just running over to who knows where.
"Leo, is that you?" A voice said behind him, turning around he was met with the face of the daughter of Aphrodite. Piper Mclean, another member of the prophecy and his best friend since last December when they were both thrust into the world of gods and demigods at the same time.
"Yes Piper." I respond, only to get pulled into a massive bear hug. "You alright beauty queen."
"I'm fine Leo, just got a few cuts and bruises on my body, nothing major." Piper said, before two voices interrupted our conversation.
"Piper is that you." One of the figures said, only for it to be Frank Zhang.
"Yes, that's me Frank." Piper said, as Frank came over to the two of us. "Oh thank god you're alright Leo." "What, you didn't want me to make it Frank, I offended you don't believe in me to get thru this." I say with a bit of a laugh from the others, not knowing the dread that was about to come.
"Hazel." Frank shouted only for a voice to come back. "Frank, did you find anyone?" Hazel said, in that soft and sweet voice. "I found Leo and Piper over here."
Hazel came running up to us, and gave each of us a hug. "I'm so glad you're alright, I was really worried when we were all swallowed whole by mother earth." She said, "Have you seen anyone else?"
"I saw Annabeth running by." I said. "Did she say anything to you Leo." Frank asked me. "Nope, nothing zip, just run right by me." I said, before hearing a cry from behind us.
"Is anyone there, I got someone who was pretty injured." A voice said, quickly the four of us turned around to see the sight of Nico Di Angelo walking over to us, with Jason Grace leaning against him, with one of his arms around Nico's shoulders.
"Jason." Piper yelled, before running over and grabbing him. "What happened to you?"
"I was fighting Porphyrion with my father, then I may have stumbled back and rolled my ankle. If it wasn't for Percy I would be dead" Jason said, as he put his other arm around Piper, as he move his other arm off of Nico.
"Speaking of Percy, where is…" Nico said, before stopping with panic beginning to form on his face, as he breathed in and out very fast, that panic turned into dread. "No No No, it's impossible, he can't do this to us, where is Percy."
"Nico." I shouted, causing the young son of Hades to shut up. "What's wrong with Percy?"
"It is his life force." Nico said, before saying three words that still cause me the chills today. "It's almost gone."
"What." The rest of us yelled, how is Percy Jackson almost dead? He was just fighting Gaea. "Can you…" Was all Jason could say before the son of Hades ran off to who knows where
"We should follow Nico." Frank said, before the five of us raced off to catch up with the son of Hades, when we reached him it was a sight to be seen, Nico was on his knees, crying his eyes out over Percy Jackson's still body.
"Percy." The five of us shouted before geting on either side of him. "Jason, try to shock him awake." Pier screamed, with pure fear laced in her words. Jason got down on his legs and kneeled right beside Percy's chest, and started to send small bolts of lighting at his chest, Percy's eyes still stayed closed.
"Jason stops sending bolts of lighting at Percy's body." Nico said, saying his first words since arriving at the son of Poseidon's body, before saying two words that caused him chills still to this day. "He dead"
(Third person)
Silence surrounded the young demigods, as they saw their leader of the prophecy of seven, the one who slayed Gaea with his own blade, the one who killed Kronos and won the first Titan war, was dead.
The first demigod in the group to get over this shocking revelation, was Jason. "No." Jason said, with clear denial in his voice. "No, he can't be dead, it is not possible that he is dead." Before facing the young daughter of Pluto. "Hazel, please tell me that he is not dead."
Hazel, who had been crying her eyes out ever since she heard that her friend was dead, faced the son of Jupiter. "Jason, he's dead, I can't feel his life force in his body anymore." hazel said, before hearing two people running up to them.
Thalia Grace, the sister of Jason Grace and the Lieutenant of the hunters of Artemis, and Renya Avila Ramirez-Arellano the praetor of camp Jupiter and the daughter of Bellona. Came running up to the group with happiness on his face, before looking at the group of people with tears coming out of their eyes.
"What's wrong, and why is Percy laying on the ground." Thalia said, before her older brother turned to face his sister with tears coming down his eyes. "Thalia, Percy is dead." Thalia's face turned from happiness to pure panic. "No" Thalia said, before rushing over to the son of Poseidon's body. Before repeatedly slapping the son of Poseidon in the face over and over again. "Come on Kelp head, you can't die on us, what about your happy ever after with Annnabeth."
The daughter of Zeus kept on slapping Percy in the face over and over again for about a minute, before Nico caught her hand. "Enough Thalia, stopping slapping Percy in the face he dead."
"But how, what did Gaea do to kill him?" Thalia questioned, the other demigods shook their heads, except the son of Hephaestus who grabbed a dirt spike next to the side of Percy's body, on the tip of the spike was heart tissue and blood. "This is the weapon that Gaea used to kill him." Before pointing at the young demigod's heart, the other demigods looked at the hero's chest, to see a hole right above his heart, and the hole in his heart. "His heart was pierced by Gaea, probably in the final part of the fight."
"Does Annabeth know about this?" The son of Mars asked the rest of the demigods, who all shocked their heads, before they could continue there talk, there was a horn that went off in the distance, telling the demigods to meet up with the gods.
"Nico and Jason, do you think you can carry Percy's body back." Hazel asked the two boys, who both nodded their heads, Jason was the first one up, and grabbed the demigod by the back. "Nico, just stay close if I need help with his body." Jason said, only to receive a nod from the son of Hades.
They walked in silence for about a minute, until they met up with thirteen of the fourteen Olympian gods, the only missing god from the group was Poseidon. "Heroes, what making you upset,we won the war." Zeus bellowed.
The demigods were shocked when they heard the king of the gods say this, before realising that they were blocking the hero's dead body. "This is why Lord Zeus." Piper said, as they all walked away to the sides, for the rest of the demigods and gods to see the dead hero's body.
There was shock among the demigods to see their leader dead. While for the gods it was a more mix reaction, some like Ares and Dionyseus had smiles, like it was Christmas morning, while others like Athena, Hades and Demeter showed no emotion in their reaction. And then there were some with sadness and regeret in their face, Like Hestia Hermes, and some shocking people like Hera and Zeus of all people.
"How did this happen, young heroes?" Hestia said, in her soft voice. "We don,t know exactly what happened, all we know is that when Gaea and Percy fought, when Percy killed Gaea." Piper said, only to be interrupted by a certain god.
''What" Zeus yelled, getting everyone's attention on him. "How did a mere demigod beat a primordial'' Zeus bellowed, only for a certain Wisdom to interrupt his rant. "Father it is pobbsle that Gaea was not a tfull strength, due to just waking up from her slumber." Athena said, and Zeus reluctantly nodded with this idea before telling us to continue on.
"Well, when Percy killed Gaea, she pierced him with one of these earth spike things." Leo said, showing it to the rest of the demigods, "And pierced him in the heart." Hazel said, causing the rest of the demigods to stand there in silence. Before a certain daughter of Athena and son of Poseidon came over to the group.
"Guys." Annabeth said, once she recognized them, before coming over to see them, but stopped when she didn't see a certain son of Poseidon. "Uh, guys where is Percy." Annabeth said.
"Annabeth he…" A certain daughter of Zeus said, before being interrupted by her brother. "Why do you want to see Percy, Annabeth?" Jason said, but the next thing they heard coming out of her mouth destroyed some of their friendships with her.
"Because I was going to tell him I was breaking up with him for his half brother John Murky." Annabeth said, and for some of the demigods in the area, they were shocked that Annabeth would do this, but for a certain son of Jupiter, he was not shocked about this revelation but pissed off at this.
"You little Bitch.." Jason started to say before being interrupted by his Father. "Enough, now we are heading to the throne room to give out rewards for the heroes of this war." Zeus bellowed, as in a flash of light left the battlefield in Greece and arrived in the throne room on Mount Olympus. As the demigods bowed to the gods who were sitting on their thrones.
"First thing first, all demigods who died in today's battle will have a funeral held at Camp Half Blood tomorrow night." Zeus bellowed to the demigods before a certain son of his interrupted him. "Uh father" Jason said, and Zeus quickly knowing what he was asking him to do as he flashed away the body of Percy Jackson, to get it ready for his funeral.
"Can someone please tell me where Percy is." Annabeth said, causing the whole room to turn and face her. "Percy is dead, Annabeth." Leo scoffed at the daughter of Athena. "Oh ok." Annabeth said, before letting the gods continue their talking about the war.
As Zeus went on and on about the bravery of the gods and how awesome they were fighting Gaea, and how they saved the demigods over and over again. As this was going on two demigods were whispering to each other.
"That little bitch." Jason whispers into Leo's ear.
"I agree with you Jace." Leo said.
"He fell into Tartarus for her, and she doesn't even care that he is dead." Jason said.
"Maybe she was just using him, or something else, maybe she never loved him, maybe ask Piper about that." Leo said.
"I will commander tool belt." Jason said, which almost caused Leo to laugh at the stupid nickname. And they stayed quiet until the demigods were asked to come forward.
"Will Jason Grace, Piper Mclean, Leo Valdez, Hazel Levesque, Frank Zhang, Annabeth Chase and John Murky please step forward." Zeus bellowed, as the seven demigods walked forward excitedly why they were being called up was why John Murky was being called up.
"Demigods, as thanks for defending Olympus against mother earth, we shall all reward you with one wish." Zeus bellowed. "What do you wish for daughter of Pluto?"
"I wish for the curse that Frank has related to his stick be gone, Lord Zeus" Hazel said, as the stick that was connected to Frank's life, came out of her pocket and burned away to nothing why Frank was still alive, and was called on to go next.
"I wish for the Hazel curse to be removed by Lord Zeus." Frank said, after that Hazel glowed a bright gold light, before quickly disappearing. "It is done, child of Mars, now onto the son of Hephaestus." Zeus said
"My wish is that Calypso is let out of her prison, Lord Zeus." Leo said, and seconds later a bright flash appeared, and when it was done, Calypso was standing there, before running up and kissing Leo.
After Piper wished to gain semi immortality, which annoyed her boyfriend at the thought of not growing old together, and Jason wishing for help in building Monuments for the under recognized gods, it was time for John and Annabeth.
"John Murky and Annabeth Chase we offers you godhood and becoming minor gods, do you expect." Zeus said, as everyone was shocked that Zeus was offering it to them, and it only took seconds for their response. "Yes"
Then the fates decided to flash in and give them their new titles. "All hail Annabeth Chase, the minor goddess of architecture and betrayal." Before turning to face John. "And all hail John Murky the god of heroes and mud." The fates said, before flashing out, and the new minor gods passed out.
