Chapter 10:
I felt a bit anxious as I stood in my room and the urge to have a small snack consumed me. I didn't know how else to handle the anxiety. I set down the maid attire that I was still holding and started my trek to the kitchen.
The hallways in the mansion were as quiet as could be, which left me feeling suspicious. I entered the small kitchen and went straight for the fruits and got a small green apple and began munching on it.
Bard was nowhere to be seen in the kitchen, which was odd seeing as how he was the chef. I hadn't seen Mey-rin or Finnian at all throughout the day either. It was strange seeing as how one of the three servants had already made his presence known yet the others hadn't.
I didn't dwell on it thinking that there must have been a plausible reason for the quiet being emitted. I headed to my room in need of a nap to relax my mind and continued walking. It was the only room that I could really remember how to get to without getting lost.
I entered my room, finishing the last bit of my apple and threw it in the trash bin in the corner of my room and, without lifting the covers from my made bed, laid down. I closed my eyes as I exhaled, feeling relinquished.

I woke up to the feeling of a person standing over me and opened my eyes to see an irked Sebastian towering over me.
"Miss Celesta, why is it that I always seem to find you asleep?"
"I don't know. I just always get tired." I retorted.
"The young master requires you're audience."
"I can't really go there by myself seeing as how you've never really given me a tour of the manor. Say... give me a tour of the mansion and I won't complain for the rest of the day?"
We headed towards the young masters office in complete silence. The walls seemed eary for it only being the afternoon. Once at the door, we knocked and waited for the for the signal to go in.
"Come in." Sebastian opened the door and held it open for me. I stepped in and walked to his desk and stood there waiting for instructions.
"Did you want to see me young master," I asked.
"Yes. Do you have any experience of being a maid?"
"I was in a circus for most of my life and you're asking me if I know how to clean?" A tick mark appeared on the young nobles head as I stood there.
"Don't play smart with me! I can always kick you out of my mansion," he threatened me.
Even if you did kick me out I would just find another place to go. After all, I did live in America for the former years of my life."
"Seeing as how it was still a pigsty I'd say different."
I glared at him as he sat there with a smug look on his face.
"Oh, but young master, why are you talking about your office? I thought Sebastian cleaned it everyday?"
It was now my turn to look smug as I looked at his irked face.
"Sebastian will be training you on your combat skills tomorrow. From now on you will be head maid, second in command to Sebastian. If any of the other servants are causing trouble you will be fixing their mess. If it beyond your expertise you may get Sebastian to help you. You are dismissed."
With a wave of his hand, the young Earl replaced his attention with the stacks of paper on his desk and didn't pay the leaving couple a spare glance.
"Why do you vex my young master so?" Sebastian asked as the door to the young master's door closed.
"Because it's fun. And besides, an ungrateful brat like him needs to be put in his place a few times. Not everyone is going to be speechless around him."
I stared at the dusk ridden sky and stepped closer to the grand window in front of the young master's study. The sky was clear, save for a few dense clouds peeking from behind a few trees. There was a small wind pushing the branches on the trees slightly and the sun continued to slowly fall behind the forest, creating a beautiful orange glow in the sky. I walked away from the butler and walked into the room a few meters away from the study and found a room with a vast window in the center. It looked to be a meeting room seeing as there was only a few chairs and one table in the center of the room.
I walked over to the window and pushed the handle. I watched as opened outward and was close to stepping out until I heard a voice behind me.
"Miss Celesta what are you doing?"
"I'm going out for a little before I head to bed. I'll only be gone for a few hours."
Before he could speak I let out my wings and jumped out the window. Falling down from the second floor didn't feel bad seeing as how I was used to the feeling of falling. I slowed my falling speed down as well, so the fear of possibly getting injured flew from my mind as I landed safely on the ground. I noticed my wings' colors as I landed. The white from the tips of my wings were slowly becoming the pure black that was protruding from my back. It was beginning to worry me.
I flew in the air, attempting to throw away the thought of my wings before it worried me even more. Like always, flying was bringing peace within my mind as I felt the cool evening breeze kiss my face softly. It felt better than the stuffy manor air.
It didn't take me long to get back to London, but it did end up getting darker on my way there. I flew my way over to the queen's castle, an action I did on occasion, and sat at the the highest flat surface of the castle and rested there as I stared out into the calming streets of London. The feeling of peaceful serenity overwashed me as I stared up into the sky, and drifted off into a dreamless sleep
That is is for this chapter! Again I am really sorry for not updating for a whole month but school started and it's irritating the hell out of me. I have a project due Thursday even though it's the beginning of the school year. But I will try updating soon. BYE ^_^
