So I revised this chapter as well. For those of you who read this chapter and the last one before I began revising I am sorry, I did take out Elizabeth. It was too inconsistent with the characters' appearances and too inconsistent with the time frame of things. So I hope that if you do end up rereading this (because I do that to stories as well) it's better than when you first read it and it makes more sense. Revised on May 16, 2020

Chapter 18:

The seamstress brought the young lord, Sebastian and me back into the anteroom where Ciel and the seamstress sat in the two chairs next to each other, and Sebastian and I stood.

"I have the designs here but I would like you both to look at them. I can't have customers leave dissatisfied."

She brought out the young masters drawings of clothing and I stared at the loose but neatly constructed drawing. The outfit she had drawn was similar to the blue suit he wore every day but this time it was a dark green, similar to a dark teal.

The young master approved each of the designed suits. He looked on as the seamstress turned to me and began showing me outfits. Most of the drawings had a white blouse as the top piece but the skirt of the dresses varied in style and color. The first dress had a burgundy skirt with leather wrapping around the torso and the white blouse that had loose sleeves until cuffed at the wrist, tucked in the skirt. The second dress was black with buttons on the torso and only two rows of ruffles on the bottom and the white blouse with slim sleeves tucked into it as well. The third dress was dark blue tied with a bow around the waist and a square neck blouse that was loose at the sleeves until it cuffed at the wrists tucked in. The last design was of a dark blue blouse, similar to that of a man's dress shirt accompanied with black trousers. The trousers looked different from men's trousers. They were slim but they seemed to fit a woman's curves more than a man's trousers would.

"Wow."

"I take it you like it then?"

"I love them, Miss Hopkins!"

"Please call me Nina. I feel old if you call me Miss Hopkins! It's worse than being called Miss Nina!"

I chuckled and grabbed each of the drawings and took a closer look at each of them. I now knew why Sebastian gave her praise before her arrival. She was one of the very few people I knew who could actually do their job well.

"Nina, if I may, can I have these drawings once you finish the clothing?"

"Of course! "

She gathered up her drawings and grabbed her bag and stood up facing the Earl.

"But I must say if I want to get these done before your little party I will have to leave now."

"Of course Miss Nina," Ciel said.

Nina Hopkins left the room with the three of us following her to see her out. The young master stood in front of Sebastian and me, a cane in his hand, staring at the retreating carriage.

"Sebastian, I want tea once I return to my office."

"Of course, young master."

Sebastian placed his hand over his heart, or lack of, and move slightly out of the way to let the young Earl pass. I stepped aside as he turned around and walked away from us.

It took the seamstress two days to make the outfits but she came back on the second at the 3 in the afternoon with both the young master and I's clothing. It looked even more stunning than it did in her drawings. And it was completely than my circus attire but I should have expected that. It was more prim and proper than what I was used to. It was fancier than I expected. But it was what I should have expected. Society caring about how a person presented themself. But I didn't really care and that's what made me love the circus when I was a part of it. But I could get used to the idea of wearing fancier clothing, even if it wasn't as comfortable as the clothes that I wore in the circus. But I was glad that my pajamas were the ones from the circus.

"I would like you to try your new clothing on. I want to make sure I don't need to fix anything."

"Alright. Celesta."

"Yes, young master?"

"It would take too long for you to change in the servant's bathroom so I would like you to use mine. My room is the closest to this room so it would only make sense for you to use it."

"Where will you change?"

"In my bedroom. I have less clothing so I should be fast."

We headed to the young master's room to try on the clothes and make sure they were the proper size for us. As I walked in last I couldn't help but notice the cleanliness of the room. The atmosphere in this one room alone seemed heavier than the other rooms and I couldn't help but feel suffocated in this room.

"The bathroom is the second door on the left. Once you've finished come out so we can see the final result."

"But that's four different pairs of clothing..."

"Yes. But I have to see how it looks. I'm not letting the Phantomhive name be tarnished because of a wardrobe malfunction."

I nodded once, brows slightly furrowed and I went to change in the bathroom.

I took off my maids dress and looked at myself in the small reflection in the mirror. My leggings and my corset the only things standing out against my light brown skin. I picked up the trousers and the dark blue shirt and put them on. I tucked the shirt under the pants and put on my boots. After I finished I opened the door to the young master's room and noticed his back turned towards me with Sebastian buttoning his pants. I closed the door quickly after noticing a mark on Ciel's back. It looked to be old but it was still apparent.

I knocked on the door after waiting a few more minutes and opened it slowly. I peeked out and notice both males gone and stepped out into the bedroom. I looked around and began stalking towards the door and left the room. In the anteroom stood the young master and Sebastian with a sparkling seamstress in front of Ciel.

"I knew it would look good! You can't say that I don't know what I'm doing! Now, where is- AH!"

Nina Hopkins faced me and blushed as she noticed the clothing I decided to wear first. Faster than I expected, she ran over to me and groped me without restraint.

"I knew this would flatter your figure!"

"Miss Nina!" I tried prying her hands off me but couldn't since her grip was iron.

"Miss Hopkins this is not an appropriate display," Sebastian said, eyes closed and a smile ready murder.

"Can you please let go of me?!"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Your breasts may not be similar to Mey-rin's size but they look wonderful in that shirt. And your hips protrude just nicely."

"Thank you but was that really necessary?"

"I have to make sure my designs fit, don't I? After all, I am a seamstress."

I sweatdropped and straightened my posture. "I guess I'll go and try on the dresses."

"There's no need. If that fits you that means the others will fit as well." The young Earl turned to Nina Hopkins and nodded his head at her in acknowledgment.

"Thank you for the clothing. The money will be sent to you soon."

"Alright, I guess I will take my leave then." Nina turned around and opened the door. She stopped before she fully left the room and turn her head slightly.

"The outfit she is wearing now if free of charge Earl. I like your new maid. Have her stop by and say hello to me every now and then."

She closed the door as she left and left the room in complete silence.

I stood there with my hands folded in front of me. I couldn't bring myself to look away in fear of being scolded. I knew Sebastian knew that I saw but I wasn't sure if he told the young master yet.

"I think I'll go grab my uniform from the bathroom and change in the servant's bathroom."

I swiftly walked out of the room without looking back and rushed to grab my clothes from the boy's bathroom. I quickly made my way to the servant's bathroom. The clothes that the seamstress made me were still in the anteroom so I'd have to get it a bit later I didn't mind.

I stood next to the tub with just my corset and leggings and couldn't help but place my hand in the same spot where I saw Ciel's brand. I felt horrid. Not as horrid as sending kids to death but the feeling was still there. It made me rethink why I accepted his offer to join him. In my thoughts, I couldn't understand why but in my heart I knew the reason. It was just a survival instinct. I didn't want to die so soon even though I deserved to just like the others.

My heart clenched as I thought of the others. I didn't know that it would hurt so much, especially since it's been a few weeks since there death. But I had to be strong for them. I couldn't let them die without a purpose.

As I finished putting on all my clothes I took a deep breath and patted my stomach to fix the position of my corset and stepped out into the hallway. I continued on my way, finishing my duties one mess at a time.

"I can't sleep at all..." I said to myself.

I started walking around the manor after realizing I couldn't sleep. I would have flown for a bit, but my back had been hurting every time my wings came out. So I resorted to waltzing around the manor until I was tired.

"May I ask why you are still awake at this hour?"

A velvet voice resounded behind. I didn't have to turn around to know who it was but I did anyway.

"I couldn't sleep."

"Well, I see no point in avoiding this conversation but it was bound to happen sooner or later." I tilted my head in slight confusion. "I believe you saw the young master's scar."

It wasn't a question, it was a statement. I gulped not knowing what to say.

"I didn't mean to peep if that's what you're implying."

"Not implying Celesta."

"How did he get it?"

The words slipped out faster than I could think and I regretted not thinking.

"The young master's story is not mine to tell. But I can assume you already know the result of his scar."

Sebastian walked in the direction that I was going before he stopped me and I stood there. My thoughts came to a blank as I had an inkling of why that mark was there. And only two words could describe it.

Demon sacrifice.

The next chapter is going to be the official start of the murder book! I don't know how many more chapters I'm going to do on this story but I will tell you that it's going to end with snake in the picture. BYE_
