Chapter 25:

I looked at the man in front of me with confusion. He looked to be an old man in his late 50's. His face was wrinkly and he had a genuine smile on his face, nothing that was similar to Sebastian. But I could still sense that it was him...

A mask? An obvious disguise but how did he get the mask?

Not trusting him for another second, all four tied Sebastian up in rope and forcefully shoved him in the direction of the living room where the others were, mainly the young master. I walked behind as Finny and Bard held on to him and Tanaka lead them with Mey-rin by his side.

As we finally got to the main room, the others shoved him inside, leaving everyone else in the room with shocked faces and a couple of gasps flying around the air.

"Master! We've apprehended the suspect!" Bardoy yelled.

"So there really is a thirteenth person!?" Grey yelled.

"Quite... unexpected..." Ciel widened his eyes.

"Who the hell is this man?! And where has he been this entire time?!" Woodly yelled.

"And so you reveal yourself at last," Lau began, " you doer of the shadows and bastardly deeds." Lau rose from his seat. "I must admit that even I'm surprised. But... who are you?"

Everyone in the room sweatdropped at Lau's statement. Even I, who hadn't even known him for too long, already began to feel irritated as if I've been through this charade before.

"I believe the Earl and the brunette maid could tell you."

Everyone looked at the young Earl with confusion. I still stood behind Sebastian, so I made my being noticeable.

"My lord if you'll allow me..." I bowed to show I was about to explain. "Everyone, you see, this is Jeremy."

"Another surprise. Do tell how you know this old fellow?" Lau asked.

"Old?"

Ignoring his statement Ciel continued. "This is Vicar Jeremy Rathbone. A cantor in a local church and is well known for his good deeds."

The irony held in that statement made me cover my mouth faster than I could anticipate. Sebastian, a demon, a person of the church.

"Please call me Jeremy. There is no need for formalities." He smiled what looked like to others a sincere smile. His smile held irritation and annoyance and the young master knew that he was irritating Sebastian, judging from the small smirk playing at his lips as the others stared in awe at Jeremy.

He's gonna be complaining later about this...

Ciel and I were escorting Jeremy to the old butler's room as he had been completely cleared of suspicion of murder with a letter, or lack of a letter, to show for it. It irked the young master knowing he had to think on his feet for what could have possibly been written on the letter that everyone asked about.

"Sebastian that is a very genius idea to go through all of that just to prove a point. No wonder why the young master looked so mad while reading the nonexistent words on the paper!" I chuckled at the two males petty display at mockery.

"You are having too much fun with this Celesta."

"Hey! It's not my fault that I find the simplest of pranks to be hilarious."

We reached Sebastian's room and quickly changed him into his uniform.

"Sebastian I hope you know what you're doing... You're fast but you're not that fast," I mumbled.

"If I could not prove my master innocent then what kind of butler would I be?"

"I'm just saying... that stunt you pulled that got you all wet was cutting it quite close. I don't know what you were doing outside but you were lucky there was a small leak above your head."

I turned away as he began taking off the wet clothes he once were and turned around once I heard him speak again.

"Trust me milady, I already have everything planned."

He left in a flurry leaving me to shake my head at his antics.

"God damn demon."

"You're telling me." Ciel walked to the door of the bedroom, "Let's go Celesta. The others will be waiting for us. Sebastian will catch up with us later.

"Alright! First I will be examining everyone from time of death," Jeremy said while clapping his hands together.

"That would be Lord Von Siemens, Jeremy," I said, still in a polite tone.

"I want to go too!" Grey yelled.

A tick mark appeared in the form of irritation as Grey moved next to me. We all got to the bedroom that held Siemens and opened the door. Jeremy went straight to the body and quickly examined his dead body.

"He was stabbed straight through the heart with a really sharp blade. Mmmmmm... And he was a nasty drinker."

"How do you figure that out?" Grey asked arrogantly.

Sebastian explained the flask he was carrying was too damaged for a sober person to do and explained that he did in fact still smelled heavily of alcohol, even if he was dead.

"I smell the sea..." Everyone looked confused. "I say, good sir," he asks Arthur, "do you happen to have a handkerchief?"

Arthur handed him a very clean and bright handkerchief. Sebastian put the handkerchief in Siemens' mouth and smelled it after taking it out. He then handed it back to a very irritated and surprised Arthur.

Next was Phelps for examination. His death was uncertain to Sebastian, so Ciel offered to take him to the room the murder occurred in.

We began walking out of the room and to the stairs when Sebastian was no longer beside me. I waited a bit for him to finish whatever he was planning on doing and began taking small but slow steps in the direction of the others. While walking I hear Grey begin to speak.

"Looks like we've lost the old fellow along the way and the maid..." He sounded more suspicious than concerned.

"Still with us?" Ciel yelled. Sebastian came back before Ciel began the sentence. I grabbed onto him to make it look like I was helping him, and he began dabbing his head with a handkerchief.

"Oh yes do excuse me. I am a bit old after all."

"Excuse me young master but I was helping him catch his breath."

"I let you use my handkerchief because I thought you didn't have one," Arthur said gloomily.

We entered the young master's bedroom and walked closer to his bed. Sebastian began looking around the bed with an eyeglass and began muttering to himself. The rest of us stood separated, the young master and me by the door while Grey and Doyle were on either side of the bed, not too close to get in the way of Sebastian.

"I can say conclusively that there are multiple murderers." Everyone's eyes raised in surprise. "Our first priority is to capture Mr. Phelps' murderer. But I will need two things. 1, to have it done at nightfall. And 2, I will need your help, Earl."

"Mine?"

"Specifically your help."

Alrighty everyone that is the end of this chapter because I have other important stuff to do and I will most likely try to update another chapter within the next two weeks but I can't really promise that... BYE ^_^
