Chapter 46:
Everything that I was seeing was black and colorless. I couldn't tell if where I was looking was left or right, or even if I was looking somewhere. I felt blinded and vulnerable to my surroundings. If there was even anything that was surrounding me, I couldn't see it. There was something off about where I was. It was as if I was stuck in between worlds. It was as if I was stuck between states of being. It was as if I was experiencing a continuous state of sleep paralysis, where I could feel everything around me, getting closer and suffocating me while I couldn't do anything about it. I felt as if I was dying but there was no light to go to.
Maybe I was dying...
Am I dying...?

Not too long after the Undertaker forced Celesta to drink the mysterious liquid the demon butler and his master had somehow managed to get the blue house to win the Cricket Tournament. Everyone was cheering as they saw it as another Phantomhive miracle, although that wasn't the case.
Both Phantomhive and his servant stayed in the infirmary after the game. It was quiet as Sebastian loomed over the child, cleaning his wound as best as he could muster while being distracted with the thought of another.
"Can't you be a little more gentle, Sebastian!" Ciel exlcaimed in pain
"My apologies young master. But, weren't you the one who was so happy that you forgot the pain?" Sebastian countered.
"Never mind the pain... What has you distracted?"
Sebastian left a pregnant pause between his master's question and his answer. He couldn't lie but there would be no harm in leaving out some of the truth. But, he knew that what was bothering him was something that he needed to tell the child.
"Earlier while searching for the principal I caught the scent of Celesta on the schools grounds."
The young master sat in silence and looked Sebastian in the eyes with as much intensity of a fire.
"And why didn't you get her?" her questioned through slightly gritted teeth.
"Something else was covering her scent. I could not directly locate her. But she seems to be here..."
The young lord looked down in thought.
"Sebastian..."
"My Lord?"
"We need Celesta back. I need you to find her as well as the principal. The sooner we find the both of them the sooner that we will go home..."
"Yes my Lord."
Another pause was left in the air as the tall demon tended to the lord's wounds. Ciel looked down and once again up to look into the eyes of the demon he called his butler.
"You never told me that demons were capable of fancying other beings."
Sebastian stood in front of his young master, the cloth still in hand. He looked at his young master with no expression to be seen on his face.
"I'm not against it. However, if it hinders your ability to serve me than I will have no choice but to be against it."
Sebastian continued looking the young earl with a blank face all the while thinking that that was a foolish thing to ask of him. No matter what, demons were prone to always abide by their own rules before anyone else. Demons, although not prone to have much feelings, will always choose their mate over food. After all, mates only appear once in their lifetime while food can be easily captured within seconds.

I can't help but feel lonely in this darkness. The nothingness surrounding my every being. What was it that the Undertaker did to me? Did he stab me? Did he use his strange reaper powers to make me go unconscious?
What the hell did that crazy old reaper do to me to make me stuck in this place?!
Many thoughts were running around my head as I sat on the cold floor, not sure if I was stuck in a real place or my mind. I tried pinching myself but to no avail. Nothing happened.
A part of me wanted to cry because of the emptiness that I was feeling. It was almost as if all of the emotions that were harboring inside of me was slowly seeping out through a drain that had its plug pulled. I tried savoring that last drop, but that last drop was only anger and sadness.
Everything was cold and I couldn't help but feel lonely in this darkness.
My back hit the cold floor. My arms mechanically moved themselves to cradle my chest as my body moved to the side. A hot yet dry liquid ran down the side of my nose and on to the floor as I laid there. My chest felt heavy as quiet sobs left my throat.
I felt lost.
I felt lonely.
I felt horrible.
I felt completely out of control.
I feel lost.
I feel lonely.
I feel horrible.
I feel like I'm not myself anymore.

It wasn't until after the boat parade that the Phantomhive lord and the prefect of the blue house made their way to the Midnight Tea Party. Ciel was more than ready to capture the principal and end the case and was getting slightly impatient at the pace they were going. But he couldn't let his nerves get the better of him.
The entire school was dark and quiet with nothing making a sound. The only form of light was the lamp that the prefect held in front of him and the special tea guest. Both males walked through the school and finally stumbled upon the small building that held the other three prefects who were waiting for them.
The blue house prefect made his way to the other prefects that surrounded a table with a single candle placed upon it. Each one stood, brows furrowed and no hint of play in their eyes.
"Welcome Phantomhive," they greeted in unison.

Celesta's body was nowhere to be seen around the school. Sebastian kept searching in hopes of finding her but was having no luck in the slightest. He was growing frustrated as the seconds passed. But he soon stopped. The smell of blood was in the air, causing him to stop and look in the direction that it was coming from.
The symbol on his left hand was burning. Without a moment of hesitation the demon made his way towards the destination of his young master.
With elegance that could rival a swan, the demon dropped behind the child. The others screamed in panic at the appearance of their professor but was soon drowned out by the Earl's order.
"This is an order! Capture Derrick!"
"Yes, my Lord."
The butler held no questionable actions. Even if he was confused as to why the young lord was ordering him to capture a student, he didn't let it show.
As swiftly as a bird flying Sebastian grabbed the table cloth, leaving the ornaments to stand tall on the table while he captured the bloodied Derrick.
"My arm!" Sebastian left the tied body on the ground while he took care of the bleeding student.
"Let me take care of it." Sebastian cautiously grabbed the arm of Greenhill and examined what little of his arm he had left. The wound was still bleeding heavily and his sleeve was sticking tighter to his body from all the blood that was dripping.
By the time the demon moved over to Greenhill he had already pieced together the event that took place before he arrived.
"A fair deal has been taken off..." he stated calmly.
"Why is Mr. Michaelis here?!"
"What is going on?!"
The other students were sweating where they stood. Each one not knowing how to deal with the situation of what was happening in front of them. Sebastian understood why they were feeling slightly anxious. The human mind isn't capable of understanding quick situations as demons were.
"So the episode will run wild after all..." the vice principal spoke.
The others grew confused. "What episode? What is he talking about?"
"Mr. Michaelis... no. Sebastian is my butler."
"Mr. Michaelis is a butler?!"
"And the reason I came into this school is to find Derrick and the rest," Ciel continued.
Sebastian fixed his glove. He noticed the small dot of blood on his glove from when he examined the humans arm. He frowned.
"However... Sebastian couldn't couldn't get a hold of his whereabouts... because Derrick is already dead."
One of the other students solemnly looked at the corpse of Derrick. His eyes grew sad and confused as he voiced his concern of the student being dead. Derrick's corpse moved, croaking out words as the others tried to step as far away from him as they could. The blood coming from his mouth was dripping over his chin and onto the floor while his eyes looked dead and devoid of any human emotion left. The scar on his forehead was visible as he writhed on the floor.
"Let's have you explain what is going on here."
Ciel pointed a gun he held in his coat pocket at the principal.
"Phantomhive! What is the meaning of-!"
"Clayton! The Earl can't be opposed," Edward chokes forward. The other eyes him confused. They couldn't think of a reason as to why he was being so submissive at a time like this.
"I've seen people that have become like Derrick. Spit it out! What did you do to Derrick?!" Ciel's remained on the trigger of the gun. Everything became quiet as no one moved. Everything seemed so quiet and slow in those few moments, until it was finally broken.
"We... we just wanted to protect..." Greenhill stated defeatedly. His head hung low as his eyes closed.
"Protect?"
Sebastian and Ciel stood and listened to the prefects story of faux righteousness. Both were irked in a way, hearing how each of the prefects views of the school and its traditions caused them to murder someone. It was barbaric and human and it made them disgusted. Their disgust was soon replaced with shock as they heard what they did to try and save themselves from the sin they already accepted.
"I see. Now everything falls into place..." Sebastian smiled as his hand went under his chin in thought. Although the thought of what humans do and did disgusted him, it was also something that fed him. The taste of human misery and their willingness to dive into the pool of sin as they accept debauchery was something of a muse for him. It was amusing seeing humans struggled over the concept of what was right and what was wrong; and when something can be right if it's wrong or when something can be wrong even though it's right.
"The student who disappeared, body and soul... Derrick Arden. The one who was able to escape from my pursuit... the Principal. The association researching human regeneration... Aurora society. Figuring this out should have been a trivial task however the one who wrapped this up into a difficult mystery was you, wasn't it?" Sebastian pointed at the man sitting at the head of the table, the man that called himself the principal.
The other students screamed at Sebastian, trying to get him to understand that the principal had nothing to do with the death of Derrick and the regeneration of his body. But Sebastian wasn't fooled in the slightest.
But, he should have realized it sooner who the one sitting as the principal was. He should have realized sooner that a normal human could not disappear out of his grasp like he did earlier. He should have realized that everything from the beginning was from the Undertaker's doing but he couldn't. He should have realized that he was the reason why he felt Celesta's presence earlier.
Sebastian smiled darkly at the man sitting at the head of the table, head slightly tilted as annoyance filled his being.
"Why don't the both of us drop the teacher act?"
Nothing but the man's mouth was seen, causing the sinister and playful smile that appeared to seem creepy and scary.
"Aw man~ I really liked this job too~"
Sebastian's face contorted into one of caution as he placed his arm in front of the young master who still held the gun in his hand.
The strange man lifted his arm, pointing at the child and the butler who stood away from him and chuckled as the high pitch tone in his voice changed into a deeper one. "You offered me the best laughs..."
His hat flew away, revealing the sinister reaper underneath. His long, white hair flew out of the top hat and cascaded down his back. The silk white gloves still covered his hands and his fingers.
The Undertaker leaned back into the chair watching as the Earl in front of him gasped in shock. It was just as amusing to him as if he had told him a funny joke.
"Undertaker!"
The old man begun spitting the top hat around his hand, watching the Earl with such amusement.
"Hello, Earl~"

My head pounded as if there was a storm forming in my head. My limbs were aching even though I wasn't moving a muscle. My eyes fluttered, trying to open themselves only to be stuck on the dry tears that somehow managed to form on the edges of my lashes.
A loud ringing reverberated, bouncing off the walls of my skull making it impossible to hear anything around me.
The awful smell of rotten flesh entered my nose causing me to scrunch it in hopes of preventing any more of the smell to pass through. Of course it didn't help, but it was more wishful thinking and a hope that I could stop something.
I groaned and tried lifting myself off of the ground only for my hands to shake as well as my arms. I felt weaker both mentally and physically as I laid on the floor of the room I was in.
I paused. I looked around and tried seeing where I was only to realize that I had no clue. I could tell that I wasn't in the Undertaker's shop or flat, and I was definitely not in the young master's manor.
Where am I?
I somehow managed to get myself onto my hands and knees. Once I did a coughing fit flew out of my lungs and I couldn't stop it, even when I held onto my chest with my right hand.
The coughing stopped, leaving me breathless with my eyes closed and my hand still placed on my chest for comfort. Everything had become even more distorted and I couldn't figure out what was happening to me. The best thing that I could do in that instant was remember how I got in that situation.
I mentally thought of the list of people that I had last seen. Whether it was in a big place like the city or a small one like Undertaker's shop.
"The shop... grass... Why is there a crowd...?" Everything was slowly making its way towards me until a searing pain in my head stabbed its way through the surgence of memories. I cried and replaced my chest with my head as my hand held onto it. I was burning up and I could feel myself losing control of my consciousness.
"Shit!" I cursed. "Fucking, old man!"
My eyes widened. Anger began swimming in my veins.
"Undertaker."
I had no clue as to where he was but I knew that I needed to find him. Anger was growing within me. First he drugged me with a liquid that I didn't even know the content of, then he left me to rot as I struggled to stay sane. In that moment I didn't care if he was a powerful reaper. I was going to kill him, even if it was the last thing that I did.
The adrenaline in my veins were thrashing from the anger the surged forward. My legs weakly stood up and my hands slammed against the nearest wall to hold myself up. Slowly but surely I made my way to the door of the room that I was in. Both ways that I looked held a long and empty hallway, excluding only on table that held a small plant on top of it.
I turned left, still clutching on to the wall with support and made my way down the hallway. There was another cut away but instead of two hallways there were three. One led straight ahead while the other two crossed in opposite directions. I cursed at myself, trying to decide where the best direction was but while also contemplating the smartest and safest direction was.
A scoff left the small space between my lips as I turned right. Going further into the hallway everything began to slowly but surely get brighter. I tried moving faster upon realizing that I could smell the crisp air of a night in London and soon came upon a small opening. I analyzed my surroundings. The moon in the sky was bright and full, glowing upon the small, neatly trimmed bushes below the building. The grass was glistening as if it had just been sprayed with dew. There was no one in sight as I scanned the ground.
A part of me was getting anxious. I didn't know where I was, nor where to go. I didn't have a connection with anyone to save me like how Sebastian did with the young master.
My fist hit the side of the glassless archway. My face planted itself on the side of the cold stone but quickly lifted itself back up upon the smell of blood. It was heavy and wafting its way towards. It was also enticing.
My feet led the way down a stairs at the end of outside hallway and to a wall. The wall was too high for me to see over it.
"Shit..."
I limped around to the other walls and soon fell upon a side that held a man that looked oddly familiar. Another familiar figure leapt into the air.
"Sebastian..." I mumbled. My heart twisted at the name. There was a new feeling that I wasn't used to that was taking over my body when I stood there. But noticing his worried and angered expression on his face made me stop thinking.
A door to the side of the wall opened itself up and out ran males. None of them grabbed my interest except for the short, blue haired child that I recognized.
I couldn't run to him. Something was stopping me from doing so. I couldn't tell if it was the seething anger that I felt towards the Undertaker that was preventing me or not. But I couldn't go towards him.
I noticed the Undertaker jumping away from the wall that I stood behind. I just couldn't let him go. I needed to know what it was that he did to me.
My vision turned red as my nails dug into the brick wall in front of me. At the top of brick wall I jumped. Everything seemed to happen so quickly that I couldn't think properly. I felt myself getting closer to the old reaper, closer to something but I still had no clue as to why. Why was I so adamant about killing Undertaker? Why was I so angry at him? Why was everything getting ruined? Why did my life turn to shit when I met the Earl? Why did I have to exist in the first place?
"Celesta!"
Everything was fuzzy and light. Everything was colder and warmer. Everything was louder. Everything smelled worse than before. Everything was everything.
"Und..."
My eyes moved around.
"Underta..."
My mouth was getting dryer by the second.
"Undertaker..."
I hurled over to the side and watched as I coughed up blood. There was so much blood. There was so much hunger and emptiness that I was feeling. I grew overwhelmed by the amount of feelings that were clashing in my heart and head. Each one that tried pushing itself to the surface grew weaker as another moved in front of it. Soon each of them disappeared, leaving me feeling more empty than before.
"Celesta!"
I kept hearing my name being yelled over and over again.
"Stop..."
"Celesta!"
"Stop yelling I can hear just fine..." I mumbled.
Soon my vision came back to me and in it were the young master and the demonic butler hovering over me. My the cold ground felt welcoming, even more when considering the amount of sweat that somehow made its way onto my skin.
"Celesta, are you alright?" Ciel asked.
"Hmmm." I mumbled, closing my eyes once again. "Why is it so bright?"
"Celesta..."
"Hmmm?"
"The only form of light outside is the moon... it is currently night."
Hopefully I'll update around X-mas BYE ^_^
