Third-Person POV
"Can't hit what you can't see, ha ha!"
Scott taunts Michiru and Masaomi as they try to hit the tiny Avenger. Like he's said before though, size does matter.
"Man, this guy's one-liners are like dad jokes! I've made better ones for sure, even my bad ones aren't this terrible!"
Masaomi swats like he's trying to hit a bug, which of course he kind of is.
"Damn it, how are we gonna beat this guy?" The blonde grits his teeth in annoyance.
Michiru then gasps as she spots Ant-Man standing atop Masaomi's nose.
"I've got him, just hold still!"
Michiru then slapped Masaomi in the face as Scott shifted to the left side of the boy's cheek.
"Ow!"
Michiru gasps in surprise, "Sorry! I've got him this time!".
She accidentally strikes Masaomi once again, but with her fist this time and leaving a bump on the side of his head.
"Gah! What the hell?" He yells in pain.
"Sorry again! Did I injure you or—agh!"
Michiru, distracted by her second mistake, is kicked in the side by a regrown Scott and almost goes off the cliffside.
"Michiru!" Masaomi cried as he ran over to her side and helped her up.
"Urgh, I'm fine. Just… let me think… I've got it!"
Miciru's nosed morphed into one similar to a wolf's and takes a quick sniff of the air.
"What are you… oh, I see. Tracking his smell." Masaomi deduces.
Michiru gets a good idea on where the tiny Ant-Man could be and then shouts out: "I've got him, right there!".
Michiru pointed and Masaomi slapped Lang down as he was setting up for another punch.
"Ow, ow, you got me that time, but… the General told me to wipe you kids out so…" Scott pauses for a moment like he's thinking about his next move, "I'll try to make this quick."
He closed his eyes and pressed a button on his left glove and he grew to an enormous size, causing the cliff the three of them stood upon to crumble from beneath.
"AHHHHH!" The blond teenager screamed as he fell.
Michiru then sprouted wings on her back and held Masaomi up by his arms.
"I've gotcha!"
"T-Thanks, but what are we gonna do about that!" Masaomi points at Giant-Man trying to reach out and grab the duo.
His speed was greatly reduced, yet they knew that if he landed a single hit that would likely be the end.
Agent Bee aka Ponzu was hovering through the trees of Route 112, being chased by Sapphire riding on her Donphan, Phado.
"Quit runnin' and fight me! Rock Tomb!"
Phado launches several boulders at Ponzu, who manages to dodge all but one of them. That single rock grounds her and forces her to fight on an even playing field with Sapphire.
"You're persistent." Ponzu blatantly tells the younger girl.
"That better not be an insult, cuz I don't know what that means! All I know is that you're going down, lady!" Sapphire tells her, determined to go help Flannery and the people of Lavaridge Town.
Sapphire recalls Phado and throws up two more Pokéballs and out comes Chic the Blaziken and Kirly the Gallade. Two quick Fighting-types, so Ponzu begins to hover once again and shoots one sleeping gas stinger at Kirly.
"Pyscho Cut!" Sapphire commands Kirly.
The Gallade slashes the stinger, which unleashes the sleeping gas and makes himself drowsy.
"The heck was that?! Kirly, don't go snoozin' on me!" Sapphire begs for him to stay awake.
Ponzu softly smirks, "It's just a concoction that will cause your Pokémon to fall to sleep in about a few seconds. Won't wake up until about an hour or two at most, and no healing items can speed up the process. Give up."
"Not a chance, Bee Lady! Double Team!"
Sapphire tells Chic to create an illusion of several copies of itself, surrounding Ponzu. The yellow hat-wearing woman looked around using the goggles given to her to scan for the real Blaziken in the crowd. No luck so far.
"Gah!" Ponzu lets out as she's clipped by a Sky Uppercut on her right side.
"Nice one, Chic! Give her another one!" Sapphire cheers.
"Tch…" Ponzu continues to scan around for the real Chic, dodging attacks from all sides.
Even if a duplicate's strikes don't do damage, she still is wary since she doesn't know where the real one is. Ponzu then decides to just put her glasses up from her eyes to focus herself, and that's when Sapphire sees that her eyes were glowing red. The Conqueror could sense that this woman isn't doing this on her own, regardless…
"Chic, use Blaze Kick!" Sapphire tells Chic, but as flames engulfed its feet…
"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!" Ponzu began shooting multiple stingers at the duplicates and making them disappear one by one.
Sapphire, not wanting another of her Pokémon to get knocked out, warns Chic, "Keep dodging, and… and…"
Ponzu puts her goggles back on and also puts on a mask over her mouth as her plan manages to unfold. She wasn't aiming for Chic specifically, but the whole area they were fighting in. The more stingers she used, the more gas was released, allowing it to not just affect Chic, but also her trainer. The flames went out and the Blaziken fell unconscious right next to Kirly and the Double Team faded away.
"You… can..." Sapphire began to say as Ponzu approached her, "Fight it… don't listen… to…"
Ponzu breathes a sigh of exhaustion from the battle as Sapphire succumbs to the gas. She turns on her earpiece.
"General Agatha, I've incapacitated one of the intruders. I'm bringing her to your location as we speak."
Ponzu takes a moment to think about what she meant by "fighting it", before picking up Sapphire and activating her wings to fly back into Lavaridge. She removes her mask while in the air, and bites her lip in frustration.
"Y'know, I just thought of something just now!"
Michiru mentions to Masaomi as she carries him through the air.
"How important is it, because I'd really appreciate it if it was a plan!" Masaomi panics.
Michiru gets defensive, "It is important! Didn't he say that he'd end this quickly for us?".
"Yeah, since if he crushes us then it's a quick trip to the afterlife!" He responds.
Michiru shakes her head, "That's true, but couldn't he have picked something that was more…"
Scott is then seen slowly stomping towards them with playful anger, "FEE FI FO FUM! Wait, what does that even mean?"
"Um… fast?" She finishes as she looks at Giant-Man with disbelief.
Masaomi was exasperated, "I guess, but maybe he just thought wrong? I mean clearly he is pretty stupid."
"He really isn't taking this too seriously… I don't know though, it just seems that he doesn't want to do this." Michiru ponders for a moment before dodging a big swipe from Scott's big hand.
"GET BACK HERE, YOU TWO!" His loud voice bellows.
"Well first things first, we need a plan to take him down soon! Or else we'll end up as pancakes!"
"Right! Hm…" Michiru thinks as she continues to fly past the giant looming behind her.
She then spots two trees with a dirt pathway right between them, which gives the tanuki girl an idea.
"How good are you with distractions?" She asks her companion.
Masaomi, realizing what she's going to make him do, sighs, "I could try, but you gotta be completely sure that this won't end with me ending up flat."
Michiru simply looked down at him with determined eyes, which ultimately made him agree reluctantly. Moments later Michiru is hiding out behind a tree as Masaomi stand at the center of the dirt path looking up at the man the size of a skyscraper.
Masaomi gulps before making his joke, "Yo! Big Guy, did EVERYTHING grow when you got that huge? Or did something else stay the same?"
"WHAT?!" Scott reacted angrily towards the joke.
"Oh, or maybe you just grew to actually have that certain something at a size larger than what it usually is!" Masaomi chuckles.
"URGH, YOU BRAT!" Scott began running towards the teenager as he turned away to run as well.
"I'll signal when he's in position!" He tells Michiru as he runs past her.
She nods as Giant-Man stomps across Route 112 loudly, shaking the ground with each step. Michiru has to hold onto the tree so that she doesn't fall over.
"I'M GONNA GRIND YOUR BONES TO MAKE MY BREAD! WHICH WOULD PROBABLY TASTE KINDA GROSS, BUT I'M UP FOR TRYING IT AT LEAST!"
Masaomi looks back and gives Michiru the thumbs up signal, it's go time. She stretches both of her arms between the two trees and hangs on tight as Scott's boot makes contact.
"HAAAAAAAHHHH!" Michiru yells in pain as she continues to hold on.
"Huh? AAHHHHHHHH!" Scott himself yells as he trips and begins to fall.
"Whoa whoa whoa!" Masaomi quickly moves out of the way of the falling titan by moving to the left by some shrubbery.
Face first into the dirt with a heavy thud, down goes the giant that had been chasing the two of them.
Michiru is breathing heavily after that encounter, but both she and Masaomi had enough energy to give each other a high five before falling over right next to Scott. After a minute of rest they heard a zap or buzzing sound, and it was coming from up above on Scott's body.
Michiru climbs up and notices that there's some kind of computer chip attached to the left side of his neck. It had a Monokuma eye symbol on it.
"I wonder… HA!" Michiru smashes it with a gorilla fist and it shatters to pieces.
A few seconds after that, Scott began to pick himself up off the ground. He presses the shrinking button on his right glove.
"Agh… my head…" He groans as he returns to normal size.
What Scott didn't realize was that Michiru was suddenly falling when he instantly returned to normal size.
"WAHHHHHHHHH! Oof!" She briefly screamed before landing on Scott.
"ARGH, MY BACK!" He cries out.
Michiru quickly moves off of him, "S-Sorry! Are you okay?".
"You're gonna ask that to our enemy?" Masaomi raises an eyebrow at her apology.
"Enemy? No, ouch, that was just some mind-controlling science mumbo jumbo. I'm a good guy, really, ack…" Scott slowly sits up and retracts his helmet.
"It's true, there was something on his neck that was making him do all of this." Michiru defends him.
Scott nods, "Yup, although I did kinda give you a bit of an advantage, giant form does wear me out quickly, whew…"
Masaomi thinks for a moment, looking at both Michiru and Scott before deciding what to think.
"Hm… well no one who tells dad jokes like those seems like a bad guy. Put it there, old man."
"Thanks, also old? I'm still in my thirties!" Scott says as he shakes the teen's hand.
"He does look young, a little too young though… oh! I'm Michiru Kagemori, and he's Masaomi Kida!" Michiru introduces them to him.
"Huh, you two from Japan, huh? Cool. Scott Lang, or Ant-Man/Giant-Man. Nice to meet you two."
"Likewise dude. That shrinking and growing thing is what's actually cool." Masaomi complimented him.
"Yeah! How do you do that anyways?" Michiru asks him.
Scott laughs, "Well, that's something I can not for the life of me explain. If I would, you'd fall right to sleep! Ha ha….".
The three of them had a few good laughs as they rested from their long battle. Until they realized something.
"You know, you guys are speaking pretty fluent English, despite being from Japan." Scott says.
"Wait, we're talking in Japanese right now, what do you mean English?" Masaomi tilts his head in confusion.
"Huh? You're speaking it right now, I can hear it!" Scott tells him.
"And you're speaking Japanese to me, pal!" Masaomi replies back.
Michiru was getting more confused at this current conversation, "What… is going on? Hold on, we forgot about Sapphire!"
"General Agatha, but she's just a child. I couldn't…"
"Agent Ponzu, how else do you expect our mission to succeed if we have someone willing to interrupt it? You should know this by now."
Agatha tells the brainwashed beekeeper with a stern expression on her face. Clutching her cane as she looks over at Sapphire and takes a look at her.
"One of the Hoenn region's Pokédex holders, she would indeed be a heavy loss on the part of our enemies. Especially if what you've told me about her skills is true."
Ponzu crosses her arms, "Can't you just take her back to HQ and convert her over to our cause as well, her skills would be better suited working alongsi—"
"No! we cannot risk it, take care of her soon", she snaps, "TUgh, these old bones need one of this town's hot springs…" Agatha commands her before walking out the door.
Ponzu clutches her arm in insecurity, stuck between not wanting to kill a young girl or angering General Agatha. She also spots Flannery on a nearby bed. She's still in the middle of her unending nightmare with Agatha's Gengar right next to her, grinning gleefully.
"Tch… agh…"
She clutches her head in pain, with the despairful thoughts slowly becoming unraveled. It was then that she noticed that the chip on her neck had been damaged during the battle earlier. Suddenly, she began to remember who she truly was.
She faints after the flood of memories overwhelms her mind, and the despair begins to fade from her mind.
Another chapter almost two weeks after the last one! Didn't expect that, huh? I didn't either honestly, so don't expect it to continue. It looks like the brainwashing has ceased for both Scott and Ponzu, a good thing for the younger trio. Agatha will definitely not be happy about this… as always I hope you all enjoyed this, leave a comment/review if you want, and I'll see you all next time for the next chapter of this and Epicenter! Speaking of which, the investigation will conclude soon and the first trial is coming afterwards! Later peeps!
