ACT I
In the middle of the stage Sindi Vermillion Red queen of the planet Rubi sits on her throne. She looks mournful. The painted background represents an ancient purple forest with the beautiful orange sun above this idyllic view.
SINDI
How can it be? How can it be that I, Sindi Vermillion, Red queen of Rubi, Feel no love in my heart? How can it be so cold? Don't I have the love of my people? Aren't I draped in the finest clothes? Every meal I eat is so exquisite. Yet, I am starving. Felina, Spirit of the forest, come to me!
Felinia walks in, showered in a purple light, covered in their ancestral purple leaves painted on paper and moulded cardboard
FELINIA
What is it, my Queen?
SINDI
My heart is cold.
FELINIA
How can it be? You're loved by all.
SINDI
I know, yet I feel neither hate nor love. I just feel cold.
FELINIA
Please eat from this fruit. It brings health and warmth to those who eat it.
Felinia hands a plastic fruit to Sindi Vermillion who pretends to eat it
SINDI
It is delicious, but I still feel cold
FELINIA
It seems I have to call my brother Helias. He is the spirit of the sun. He shall warm your heart. Brother Helias! Please come forth!
Helias walks into the set wearing a large cardboard cutout of a yellow sun, covered in golden light. The actor seemed a bit uncomfortable.
HELIAS
What can I do for you, my … queen?
FELINIA
Oh Helias! The queen's heart is frozen. Please warm it with your light.
HELIAS
I shall my King … hum Queen. It will melt the ice of your heart.
A large orange light shines on the red queen from the ceiling.
SINDI
Thank you Helias I feel much warmer, but, alas, my heart is still cold
HELIAS

Helias suddenly froze, its actor forgot his lines
SINDI
I understand you're in shock brother Helias. Could you call your sister Parilia the water spirit?
HELIAS
Yes … YES! Parilia Sister of the water! Come to us. Our Queen needs your help
Parilia appears on the stage dressed in the form of a water drop. She is bathed in a cool blue light.
PARILIA
What is it, my brother?
HELIAS
It is our queen! Her heart is frozen. Please save her
PARILIA
Did our sister Felinia give our queen her fruit?
FELINIA
I have! It satiated her, but it didn't cure her
PARILIA
Have you given your warmth to our Queen Brother?
HELIAS
I did. It made her body warm, but her soul is still frozen
PARILIA
Then I can't help you, my Queen. My crystalline water can relieve thirst not broken hearts.
FELINIA
What can we do? Will our queen die?
PARILIA
Who could call this living? A cold heart simply goes through life awaiting its final beat. Would you not call this death?
HELIAS
How can such a thing happen?
SINDI

HELIAS
Then the Gods are wrong! Curse them to the Crimson Inferno!
SINDI

FELINIA

The lights turn off. The spirits gather around the throne of the queen weeping abundantly.
