A rather singular pastime, just as singular is the story of its origin. Many believe it was created a few decades ago by a wealthy entrepreneur who was too bored with life and had an irrepressible obsession with mystery and the occult.
Many others, on the other hand, believe that it is something dating back to the dawn of civilization, a tool used by tyrants to subjugate the masses and dominate the world, but that due to an unspecified event, they ended up losing control of it and erasing it forever from their memory, at least until now...
No one knows what the actual truth is, after all, only the victors are able to write history.
In any case, the Duel Monsters has undergone profound and radical changes since the day of its creation, so much so that it has triggered a veritable "fever," becoming extremely famous and spreading to every corner of the globe, catalyzing the attentions of every kind of individual it came across.
To this day, it is no longer considered merely a pastime, but as a true world sport, thanks in large part to its constant evolution and ability to stay in step with the times. New legends establish themselves and new generations of duelists emerge, aiming to rout their opponents and become the best.
Limit City is one of the most popular theaters of that discipline, but don't be fooled by the name, as the only limit that exists is your imagination.
The best champions come from this beautiful metropolis, and a new genesis composed of the most promising minds is about to arise.
And it is here that a valiant and promising sixteen-year-old duelist enters the scene, who is about to shed light on an uncomfortable and dark truth about himself and his surroundings.

A few notes before I take my leave:
- Despite being presented in this fandom, the work will in no way contain the characters that appeared in the canonical work, nor the events narrated therein or the four-dimensional breakdown, as this story is set in an alternate and narratively different universe. However, an old acquaintance seen in the series will make his return, in a totally new and novel guise. But a more in-depth explanation will be given to you over the course of the chapters.
- This story will contain original archetypes, however, there will be no shortage of archetypes present in the official game with new supports.
- Almost all existing summoning methods will be present (with the exception of Links).
- I am looking for a beta reader who can also help me with dueling patterns and the creation of some archetypes, as well as with the story I have in mind.
