I had woken up with no headache, and there was nothing to bother me until I eagerly opened the prototype fridge—a mere wooden box ensconced in ice. To my dismay, I discovered my beloved leftovers were nowhere to be found, reduced to mere atoms, as if they had vanished into thin air.

"Oh it was me. I got hungry in the middle of the night. I thought that it wouldn't be too bad if I ate Kazuma's food. Be grateful that your steak was a goddess's meal!" The blue-haired goddess peeks her head out from the couch, where she had been lying down and playing video games.

Curse her and her godhood! Dammit, I was too full to finish last night's dinner. Hoping to enjoy a peaceful morning, I had planned to savor the remaining meal before chaos inevitably unfolds in the mansion.

Besides, it wasn't even my cooking; it was that crusader whose cooking skill level is average and plain. However, strangely enough, she makes good tea.

"Wait, Megumin, that's cheating! I was talking to Kazuma! Cheater! Cheater! Your sins won't be forgiven! I have one life left!"

"Aqua, you shouldn't have let your guard down. You should know by now that I show no mercy as I am also on my last life."

Both Megumin and Aqua were engrossed in playing a 2D fighting game featuring stick figures. The twist in the game was the random spawning of weapons scattered all over the map. Their objective was to utilize these weapons to eliminate each other and emerge victorious.

"W-Wait! Let me find a weapon as well! I ran out of ninja-stars to throw at you!"

"The game must've realized my true power and identity as the most powerful Crimson Demon, therefore it gifted me one of their best weapons! Take this!"

"Stop dodging, Aqua. I have only one more bullet! I'll give you a quick and painless death!"

"Never! I'm gonna win and- Wait, who is this guy? Player 3 has joined the game?"

An anonymous player joins the match and decided to go for one of the weakest weapon in the game.

A stick.

"Uwah! Help, Aqua! Player 3 is too strong! How is he beating me with a stick! If only I had my explosion ingame!"

"I'm trying! I'm trying! He's too fast! Ah, look I found a whip! I'm gonna whip this guy until he submits to my superior skills!"

In less than 10 seconds, Player 3 decimates both Player 1 and Player 2 quickly and effortlessly. Both Aqua and Megumin turn to me with jealousy and anger written all over their face.

"Now that I have your attention." I stood up. "Give me my precious food back!" I berated her.

"Too bad! If you want it back, call me Aqua-sama and pray to me 3 times a day for a whole month and I'll reconsider." She gives a pouty expression, closing her eyes and turning her head away to go back to playing the game.

The food would have been digested by now! It probably already has. But Goddesses don't use the bathroom, strangely enough.

"The food would've been digested by now. Though I wonder if Aqua is secretly a Crimson Demon like me since she also doesn't use the bathroom. That would explain why she is almost to my level of power!"

And also Crimson Demons don't use bathrooms, strangely.

"Megumin, I'm more powerful than a Crimson Demon."

"Hey, why wasn't I classified as a woman!" Megumin complained to her.

Wait for a few years and you'll mature, though I don't know about your chest area considering YunYun's development and you guys are the same age. Though I don't think that would stop Lolizuma since he's trying to invite Princess Iris into his delusional made-up harem. Ow! Ow! That hurts!"

The weirdos began fighting and grabbing each other's faces, almost poking an eye for an eye.

I turned my back to avoid looking at her and made my way back to the kitchen.

Before I walked back to the kitchen to prepare my own breakfast, I noticed Darkness with an even redder face. She closed her eyes, breathing heavily, seemingly eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Tell me how two girls stripping each other is turning you on? Do you swing that way as well?" Absolute astonishment and bewilderment was about to blow up in my mind if she was about to say, 'no', in a tsundere way.

"N-No. I was just thinking about you..." Darkness bit her index finger, looking away, but giving me the side-eye glances in those intervals of a second.

"M-Me? About what?" I asked nervously, my heart skipping a beat.

Why does she resemble a tsundere ojou-sama noble who secretly likes her main protagonist butler? Has she always been this pretty? More importantly, I wonder if she was thinking about me last night, on her bed?

She hands me the mail, and I immediately rip it open to read its contents. I hope it's not another horrible attempt at a marriage proposal set-up for me and Megumin. Marriage proposals arranged by families are the worst, second only to being forced into arranged marriages with wealthy noble families. Or maybe it's a reply to Megumin's letter about me doing entirely non-perverted things to her.

"Hey, who said you could read my mail!" I felt two small feet on my rear end as Megumin drop-kicked me to the ground, causing my body to fly and my face to land on Yunyun's shoes.

"Kazuma-san! Are you okay?"

"A kiss could help." I mumbled to her with my last ditch effort as my face remained planted onto her shoes.

No reply.

"Megumin, your little sister's birthday is coming up. I hope to see you attend to her birthday party. We will have bread crusts as a celebration and a muddy cake as usual! Make sure to bring your two friends and especially your boyfriend- W-Wait, that's not right!" She tore the mail into millions of pieces, not even Aqua could fix the damage if she was tasked to.

"Why are you guys looking at me with pity?" She looked at all of us.

To think her family was celebrating birthdays with muddy cakes and bread crusts. No wait... it could be an attempt to guilt-trip me into purchasing a real cake for them. Nice one, Kazuma, you caught on quickly faster than ever. You've built up a mental wall to shield yourself from guilt.

"Komekko's having a birthday party? Let's go! Shall we? The first birthday to be celebrated with a goddess is truly a blessing!" Aqua smiled happily, running to her room to get dressed.

"There hasn't been a lot of quests lately at the guild so this could be a great way to waste time. I don't see a problem in attending a birthday party, especially if it involves Megumin's family." Darkness suggested, placing her hand under her chin.

"Well I'm not gonna go. Last time I went, I had to solve their problem that was partially my fault and almost disintegrated into atoms from Yunyun and Megumin's attack." I told them, about to walk away to stay home.

A few days without the girls... That is something to look forward to.

While I was busy daydreaming about my potential peaceful life, I didn't notice that both Yunyun and Megumin were nodding to each other, as if they had set up a plan for me.

"Yunyun, the Crimson Village has been getting a lot of tourist attraction lately. I saw it on a newspaper yesterday. Why is that?" Megumin asked.

"One of the Crimson Demons opened up a shop in the village, but it isn't any ordinary shop. They say that a group of female Crimson Demons have offered to sacrifice their body to dance around anyone in a weird way as long as you're a human in order to save a shop they cherished. Now it's gaining the full attention of all tourist alike..."

My ears twitched as I heard those words.
