Today should have been like any other, but it wasn't. Of course it wasn't. Nothing could be simple for Izuku Midoriya. So why would it be today?
We all know how one day Izuku lost it all, his dreams, purpose, and reason of being with Kaachan telling him to end his life, and All Might telling him his dream was all that, a dream.
But in this universe, things tended to happen a tad bit different, in this one, Izuku changed history after All Might told him he couldn't be a hero.
Izuku walks down a street after his confrontation with All Might, his mind anywhere but where he was going, wandering as he heads out towards the smoke he and All Might saw unknowingly. 'Why did I have to be so useless, just because of one flaw, my quirklessness, I'm labeled as nothing more than a-a a! Ugh! I thought I could be a hero, but not even All Might believes in me, Kaachan was right, maybe I am a worthless Deku. Maybe I don't deserve to be a hero, maybe I truly am a fail-'
As he was walking he bumped into someone and as soon as he looked, he realized he walked right towards the fire.
'Heh, I still went to the crime anyways, guess that's going to be a hard thing to stop me doing from now o-' As Izuku looks up he sees the sludge villain, and in it, he sees a student, no idea who it is yet, but it gets harder to breathe as the air just doesn't want to go in his lungs, it's like choking to the sludge villain, but he was just watching someone else suffer, because of him. But in that moment of panic, he saw it, Kaachan staring right back at him with more fear in his eyes as possible.
If you asked Midoriya what he was doing running after his tormentor to save him, he'd tell you he had no idea, but the real reason, the so deep down inside you'd need to find the Earth's crust first to find it was because deep down, Izuku Midoriya was always a hero.
Izuku tried his best to save Kaachan, throwing his stuff at the villains eye. Trying to get Kaachan free. But nothing worked until All Might stepped in with his "TEXAS SMASH!"
He may have also said something about how he should have followed his ideals and what not, but that didn't matter. As Izuku walked home, defeated he realized, he tried to be a hero, and he almost got Kaachan killed. 'Kaachan was right, I can't be a hero. All Might was right when he said I needed to be realistic. But what else is there? Heck, what am I even doing? Maybe Kaachan was right in another way, maybe I am worse less and should, "take a swan dive off a roof."
He didn't go home that night, how could he? He planned on ending it all, how do you tell your own mother that your taking your own life? That you couldn't deal with the struggles of life and that everything that you tried to be was useless? Easy, you don't. So instead, he went back to that very rooftop where he met All Might, the hero that told him to be realistic. "Well, I guess this is my realistic answer All Might."
Those were Izuku's last words as he fell, trying to get rid of the weight of the world, wash away his problems, end all the suffering he's been facing since he was declared quirkless. This was, the end of Izuku Midoriya, but also the rise, of something new. Something different.
First Chapter to Deku's Rise to Power. I wanted to make sure that Izuku was still shown to be heroic instead of just trying to die right after his talk with All Might, which will later be a conflict in All Might, but anyways, I'll try to get the next chapter out soon!
