Chapter Two

Location: Lexcorp, Metropolis

Up within the offices of the main Lexcorp building, one individual worked almost just as hard as the rest. A young dark-skinned woman with medium azure-dyed hair tapped away at her computer, staring intently at the monitor. The array of colours on screen glowed against her face and skin, the imagery of otherworldly crystals in various colours.

"Ah Miss Iveta Fernandez, keeping up the work, I see," a familiar deep male voice spoke from behind the woman. She turned around to see the man himself, Lex Luthor. "That's how I like it". He continued as he observed the result. "How's the report itself going?"

"It's going good, sir," Iveta answered. "I believe I might've found the right properties to make a new kind of Kryptonite. One that could 'cure' Kryptonians of their powers without necessarily harming them or any nearby lifeforms".

"Very interesting, my dear," Lex grinned at the hypothesis with intrigue. "However, I don't just want good results, I want great results". He continued. "Even a good idea on paper must become greater upon execution. In time, should this work out within our favour, I might consider you a hero".

"Thank you, sir," Iveta nodded.

With that, Lex moved and carried on, walking over to the next cubicle to see their virtual results, while Iveta kept on updating and storing all the data. As ethically questionable Lexcorp could be, she had been hoped a stable enough amount of pay, a promise so easily broken.
