Chapter One

Location: Cumbria, England, United Kingdom, Earth, Space Sector 2814

Yet another time had come for the sun to rise again and bring on the morning once more, letting down its warm rays across the seemingly tranquil county. Sitting on top of a small hill and watching such a beautiful sunrise together were two young intimate women embracing each other. The slightly older long-blonde-haired woman, Jillian Pearlman, wore a dark-green pilot jacket and baggy cargo jeans. The slightly younger short-black-haired woman, Krystal Quarrell, wore a dark-blue parka jacket, woolly hat, and baggy denim trousers.

"Such a beautiful morning," Krystal sighed.

"Almost..." Jillian responded. "Almost as beautiful as you".

Krystal blushed and smiled at such a compliment, at least for a brief while, before it soon faded once another thought entered her mind.

"You sure about this...?" Krystal questioned before elaborating. "Not our relationship, of course, I mean with the RAF. What if something happens?"

"As long as we stick together, nothing will happen, at least nothing bad," Jillian comforted. "Besides, if I recall correctly, when we were kids, you said you wanted to join the Air Force with me".

Krystal let loose a little giggle as that slight blush returned to her face. "Not untrue, I'll admit". She shuffled her shoulders within Jillian's protective left arm, while her own right arm was around Jillian's waist. "I just want to spend the rest of my life with you, have adventures together, be heroes together".

"And you can..." Jillian assured. "...and you will, you always will".

"You think it so?"

"I know it so".

A radiant smile was shared between the two, as their eyes locked onto each other. A bond not quite broken, but one that would certainly be put to the test very soon enough.

"I always love you, Jillian".

"And I'll always love you too, Krystal".

With those true words spoken, the two lovers brought their lips together for a deep yet soft kiss, a feeling possibly even warmer than the rising sunlight itself.

"You wanna head home with me for a little breakfast in bed?" Jillian offered. "And I'm not just talking about food".

Krystal quickly caught on to such a flirt. "Oh god, do I?"
