Amar takes out a syringe . There are some orange liquid inside it. Amar walks back and forth for a long time . We follow him to wherever he walks to.
"This syringe contains a transmitter and will put your fear inside the computer and we will see it." Amar says." Who want to go first."
"Maybe we should do the order of who jumping first ." Abby smirks at me
"Yeah that is a great idea." I nod at her
I don't want to fight with her so I volunteer myself .
"Then Delia follows me ." Amar beckons to me
I follow Amar into the room. He closes the door behind me
"Why you listen to Abby?" Amar walks toward the table and takes out a syringe
"She is my best friend and I don't want to fight with her ." I sigh
"However she doesn't seem to be friendly." Amar sighs
He waves at me and I walk closer to him. I brush my hair to the side and he injects me with the serum. He helps to sit down.
"So the two ways that you will wake up is either you slow down your heart beat or you face your fear." Amar notices me ." Don't try to control the simulation. I already know your aptitude test problem."
I passed out pretty quickly. When I wake up ,'then I am still in the room. However everything disappeared around me . I don't know what will happen to me . The door opens, Ted comes in. Why is he in my fear landscape ? Am I scared of him?
It shouldn't be that reason. Ted comes closer to me
"I love you. Why don't you understand that?" Ted leans into me and kisses me .
"No ted , I already said that I treat you differently." I push him away.
Before he is about to say something. I hear gun shot. I scream and ted falls on the ground
"Ted!" I get off the chair and I see three men wearing masks standing right in front of me .
"Why you guys are doing that !" I rest my head on ted's chest.
I have to calm myself . Maybe I am just afraid to lose someone important for me . I am just caring too much . I close my eyes . Soon enough, I wake up above the chasm.
The three men are still standing there.
"We killed him." They say coldly.
"What did you guys do?" I ask them
"We killed ted ." They repeat.
I throw my self at one of them and punch them in their face . One of them I hit in his gut. The last person tries to run away but I chase after him. I kick him off on the ground .
"I am sorry. Please don't kill me ." The man is begging .
"You killed ted ." I scream
I take his gun and aim at his forehead . I pull the trigger and he is gone . I scream and wake up in the room
"Oh my god ." I cover my face to hide my tears
"Delia , it's finished . You don't need to experience that any longer ." Someone holds me in his arm .
I look at that man . He has lighter skin but no hair . He has light brown eyebrows and eyes . He also has brownish beard around his chin. He wears dauntless uniform . He was my first body guard and also is lieutenant now for dauntless:Alan Davis
"Hey Alan." I cry." I killed so many people."
"Delia it's fake . It's not real." Alan tries to comfort me ." I will bring you to rest."
Alan kisses my forehead. I close my eyes and rest on his chest
"I do missed you Delia." Alan says gently.
He brings me out of the room. Ted comes up to us
"How is she doing?" Ted seems worried
"She is fine . I will bring her to rest and I will still watch the simulation." Alan clinches his teeth." Watch your own business and she is no longer your duty."
"Alan we were both her body guard but why she remembered you longer ." Ted points at alan.
Alan ignores him and brings me into the small room next to the simulation room.
"I am sorry Alan . I am the problem for this ." I lower my head
"It's fine . I will be watching the training at most of time ." Alan shakes his head." What did you see that made you so scared?"
"I saw ted in my simulation." I don't want to lie to him
Alan looks at me . I can see jealousy from his eyes .
"What did you see?" Alan wears the electrode on his temple
"He kissed me and three masked men killed him . I then killed those three men." I cry." Am I a horrible person?"
"No it is just that you cared about people. What kind of relation did you developed with ted?" Alan looks at Abby's simulation.
I look at her simulation and I see that Eric is inside her simulation .
"He was more like my elder brother . Don't think too much." I say
After Abby, that abnegation boy comes in and after Amar injects him. Alan starts to watch his simulation as well. Until Marcus Eaton comes in the simulation, then I am shocked . If Marcus Eaton is his father , then he is Tobias Eaton.
"God he is Tobias ." I cover up my mouth.
"Yeah he is . I guess erudite are right about his father." Alan points at the screen
I see that Marcus has a belt in his hand and then slaps the belt on Tobias . I clinch my fist .
"He is an asshole." I say
"However all abnegation members believe him." Alan shrugs
"Including my parent but maybe one day that they will know it." I shake my head
Finally he is done with his simulation . Only four fears . I and Alan walk into room.
"Four fears which is incredible for man. I only had two but that is already nearly 10 years before and you broke the record within 10years . Maybe we should call you four ." Alan smiles
"Then my name is four ." Four nods at me
"Hey four ." I giggle
Alan turns around and we follow him. Four walks beside me
"You knew him before ?" Four asks me
"He was my first body guard when my mom was pregnant with my sisters and brother ." I say
Alan walks toward a big door and pushes it opens . There are ten doors.
"Before training finish , you guys will stay together . There will be a curfew at 11pm ." Alan watches his clock." So change your cloth and I will come to Pick you guys up after 10 minutes."
Alan leaves and I walk toward the bed . I choose a bed beside Elizabeth. I take off my cloth very fast and put on the new shirt.
"Hey Delia ." Elizabeth calls me
"Yes Elizabeth!" I say
"You are doing a wanderful job . I heard that you only have two fears." Elizabeth seems sad." I have four ."
I sit down beside her . She rests her head on my shoulder
"Amar told me that it is not about how many you have . It is about how you face it." I explain
After 10 minute, Alan picks us up from the room. We walk behind him. A girl now is walking toward us
"Alan." The girl hugs him
She is wearing blue dress . She is from erudite
"Linda let go of me . I told you how many time that I already have someone in my heart." Alan points at his heart.
"Who is she ? Who is that bitch? Is that girl who you protected before ?" Linda screams.
"It's none of your business ." Alan pushes her away and keeps leading us to the cafeteria
Iinda is Jeanine Matthew's daughter . She also likes Alan. Alan looks at me and I lower my head
"Here is the cafeteria ." He opens the door
We pile in and there are only two tables which are available . I sit between four and Elizabeth. Abby is sitting opposite direction with me so we are face to face.
I look at the foods. A plate of breads , a plate of meats and one plate of sauce . I don't know what can I make it.
"Put the bread and sauce in the middle of two breads. It is called hamburger ." Amar explains .
"Didn't you have hamburger before . You and four I mean." Jessica is shocked
"We don't eat hamburger in abnegation. We eat plain foods." I am embarrassed .
Abby giggles . She is more like laughing at me .
"No wander why you leave abnegation." Abby raises her eye brows
"Maybe it is more than food Abby." Four talks back to her ." No wander why other people don't like you."
Zeke comes to us and Marlene also sits down beside me
"Four , wants to play some game? Only belong to man." Zeke wraps his arm around four ." Four fears."
"Yeah sure then but is it about something high from the ground?" Four is shivering.
He is afraid of height and I see from his fear landscape
"Yeah kind of , you have to over come with it." Zeke rolls his eyes
"I like being high." I raise my hand .
"Yeah then you come with us for that adventure ." Zeke giggles
However all the members now are hitting their cups on the table . I hear footstep coming from above us .
"Initiates , stand up." A voice appears around me .
We all stand up and I lift my head . I see that max , Alan and Sam are standing on the platform .
"You have chosen a warrior faction. Your duty is to protect the citizens in this city. We believe in the ordinary act of bravery. In the courage to stand up for those people who can't stand up for themselves . Respect that and do us the proud ."
After max leaves , everyone start to clap. I smile at Elizabeth and my friends.
"That's so cool." Elizabeth screams
I scream and cheer too. Alan looks at me and I immediately is blushing.
"You are all red Delia." Maria wraps her arm around me." Who did you see ."
"No one ." I say
