Chapter 6: Discussing Legend. (Inspired by an animated short and Justice League War.)
Ash and Barbara were resting the next morning as they ate breakfast.
"So, Barbara, can you tell me more about Batman?" Ash asked.
"Well, sure. What would you like to know?" Barbara asked.
"Well, is he some kind of supernatural creature? He looks like he might need blood." Ash asked.
"No, Ash, he's not a vampire." Barbara said.
"Well, can he fly?" Ash asked.
"In a plane." Barbara said.
Ash looked surprised, "He's not just some guy in a bat suit, is he?" he asked.
Barbara only nodded.
"Huh. Well, I have to question. Where does he get all the tech he uses to fight crooks?" Ash asked.
"WayneTech supplies Batman's tech." Barbara said.
"Wait, WayneTech? As in Bruce Wayne's company?!" Ash asked.
"Yes. Except the Batmobile. He built that himself." Barbara said as she put the dishes in the sink.
"Man, I can't imagine what it would take to build that. It can fire rounds, and even boost in speed. It's like a raceway and a tank combined!" Ash said.
"Right." Barbara said before she got curious about something, "Ash, I've heard of legendary Pokemon. Have you ever seen any?"
"I sure have. In fact, the day I left Pallet Town to start my journey, I saw a Pokémon not even the PokeDex knew about. It was the legendary Ho-oh." Ash said.
"Ho-oh?!" Barbara asked.
"Yeah, and it wasn't the only one." Ash said. Barbara spent the next hour before school listening to his tales of Legendary Pokemon encounters.
"See you later, Ash. I have to go visit Tim later tonight, so I'll be late getting back." Barbara said.
"All right. Later." Ash said as Barbara left.
