Capture and Rescue

Hello everyone,

Before this chapter, I have an announcement to make based on reviews, ideas, what I have already planned for this story and the upcoming Avatar movies. My announcements will include some spoilers from both the second and upcoming third movie so you don't have to read this section if you don't want to.

Lo'ak will have an OC love interest from either the Fire Navi clan or the Wind Clan depending on what happens in Avatar 3

Tsireya will be a male character and he will be Sylwa's love interest.

Atuiko will be an OC character but instead of being the twin brother of Tsireyan, he will be the brother of another character. Thank you Hikhefimm for the name and personality traits.

Payakan will be a female and she will befriend Sylwa instead. I know this doesn't follow the story but it's important that in this story, it is Lo'ak who bonds with the new creature as it will play an important role in the next avatar story as their friendship will contribute to the clash with the Ash People. Also, since it is Sylwa who falls in love with male Tsireya, it makes sense that she's the one who bonds with the outcast Tulkun.

Instead of Sylwa, Aonung will have an OC love interest from either his clan or another Navi clan. This may change depending on what happens in the movies.

I really hope that you all love these ideas. I'm sorry if these ideas are not what everyone's expecting but they're very important to the next avatar story's plotline. Please send reviews and let me know what you all think.

The children scurried through the forest as swiftly as they could. "Dad is gonna ground you for life," hissed Kiri to Lo'ak.

"It's almost eclipse. Come on," Tuk said.

Suddenly an avatar appeared out of the bushes and grabbed her. "Tuk!" screamed Sylwa. Quickly she grabbed a thick stick and leapt at the avatar bashing its head but it hadn't little effect. She was suddenly grabbed from behind.

"No!" Lo'ak readied his bow. So did Spider. Kiri was suddenly grabbed too.

"Put down your weapons!" the avatar threatened, holding a knife under Sylwa's chin. To save his twin, Lo'ak put down the bow and got grabbed too by another. Spider remained standing.

"Spider…" they begged. Reluctantly he dropped his weapon before he was grabbed too. More Avatars appeared, along with a tall military one with a shaved head and a straight face with cold features. They became scared.

Kiri's captor pulled on her braid making her scream out in distress. "Get over here! Drop to your knees! Stop fighting!" he kicked her to her knees.

"Kiri!" cried Tuk, scared for her.

"Be calm Tuk. Be calm," Kiri spoke in Navi, trying to calm her down. It was too horrifying for Tuk to be in the hands of their cruel captors.

"Let us go!" shouted Sylwa struggling in her captor's grip. As she did, the Recombinant grasped her hand and held it up.

"Boss!"

Quaritch, the man whom Jake Sully had betrayed over sixteen years ago and whom Neytiri had killed, turned around and saw Sylwa's four fingers on clear display. She was not a full Navi. "You're his,"

Kiri's captors showed him her fingers and so did Lo'ak's. "They're all his," he could instantly that they were all siblings.

"Shit," muttered Spider, afraid for his surrogate siblings. Lyle one of the avatar soldiers pulled harder on Kiri's braid making her scream out.

Quaritch approached Lo'ak. "Show me your fingers," Lo'ak glared at him, holding up his middle fingers with a nonchalant expression. "You're definitely hiss," he grabbed Lo'ak's braid from the soldier and harshly tugged on it making him hiss out much to the shock of his twin. "Where is he?"

"Sorry I don't speak English," the Sully boy twin refused to speak.

"Where is your father?" Quaritch demanded more cruelly, speaking in Navi much to the shock of the others. He tiggered harder on his braid making him cry out louder.

"Stay away from him," sneered Sylwa.

Quaritch flicked his head at her. After passing Lo'ak's braid to his captor, he approached her menacingly. She snarled at him with her sharp teeth. He circled around her as her captor still had her forced down on her knees, painfully pulling her back by her braid. She pulled her shawl off and saw her burnt mark. "What a pitiful mark," he reached his hand forward to touch her burn mark. He dug his fingers into her burnt skin. She cringed in pain. Tuk and Kiri screamed in horror for her.

"Leave her alone!" Lo'ak shouted.

But the cruel Recombinant took great pleasure in torturing the young Sully girl. "Tell me where he is!"

"Stop it!" shouted Spider. "Don't touch her!"

Quaritch stopped what he was doing and focused on the savage human teen. He let Sylwa go and she breathed in pain, leaking tears. Lo'ak leaked a tear as well, horrified but relieved. He glanced carefully at Spider, gave a signal and the kid's captors let him go. "What's your name?"

"Spider…Socorro,"

The strange look in Quaritch's eyes made the Sully kids' hairs tingle. Lo'ak and Sylwa eyed each other frightfully. "Miles?" The twins glanced across at their sisters who were scared of what they were seeing too. It couldn't be their dad's old enemy. It couldn't be. It just couldn't be him. "Figured they'd send you back to earth,"

"Can't put babies in cyrosleep dibshit," Spider retorted back. He was held by his captors again.

"Cuff 'em!" the kids were cuffed and then forced forward on their feet.

"Who do we do boss?" asked a soldier. Quaritch pressed a button on a com attached to his jacket. "Iron Sky, Blue on Actual. We are standing by for extract over!" he got a respond back from a high general on the other side and then he said next, "Be advised. We're bring high-value prisoners,"

The Sully siblings and Spider tensed at his words. They prayed their parents would come.

"Let us go!" Kiri cried out but Lyle shouted at her to 'shut up, pulling harder on her braid causing more pain and discomfort.

As they strode forward through the forest, the twins tensed when they saw how tense Quaritch was looking at Spider; it was indeed his biological father.

Sylwa who was the closest to their surrogate brother so how frozen he was. "Remember Spider, that is not him,"

"Be quiet," her captor pressed a knife tip into her side.

"Leave her alone!" shouted Lo'ak, wishing he could snap at them with his teeth.

They were escorted back to the old unit where they came across the remains of the Ampsuit containing Quaritch's human skeleton. They were shoved to the ground, held under gun point with the barrels aimed at their heads. They watched as they activated a recording from a camera taken inside the suit, on the day that human Quaritch had been killed. They saw their father leaping onto screen.

"Give it up Quaritch! It's all over!"

"Nothing's over while I'm breathing!" the voice of human Quaritch sounded exactly like the voice of the Recombinant Quaritch who was holding them captive.

"I kind of hoped you'd say that!'

The battled endured. Quaritch held up Jake by his queue only for Neytiri to appear and impale him with two arrows from their grandfather's bow. As she hissed, standing protectively in front of her mate, the suit fell backwards.

Spider became very tense. He had never seen this side of Mr or Mrs Sully before. What he just watched was truly savage. Sylwa wanted to say something but bit her tongue afraid of what they might do.

The recording ended. Quaritch reached into the suit and pulled off the skull from his human skeleton. Then in the blink of an eye, he squashed it clear in front of them. Sylwa felt disgusted as she felt pieces of bone rain on her face. She shivered a bit. She felt her twin beside her. Hours later night came and the children were shoved to their knees, under the threat of guns and knives. The leader of these avatars was going to use them as bait to draw in their parents. They just hoped they would be saved and no one would get hurt or worse.

For the next hour, they were held prisoner by the avatars, led by their father's former commander and old foe. Sooner than they thought, the eclipse passed and it became dark. The forest had darkened and they could barely see a lot of light. It began to rain and drizzle. They felt cold. They were then hauled up on their feet again and held captive by rough hands pulling on their braids. Lo'ak was alone. Spider and Kiri were together. Sylwa was with Tuk. She managed to reach a hand over and gently hold her little sister's assuring her that she was with her at all times.

"Blue 1, standby. We'll be there in three minutes," General Ardmore, the new director of the RDA contacted through her com to Quaritch.

The children were more scared than ever. What if their parents didn't make it in time? Just then they heard a loud bird-like resonate echo through the air. Their hearts lifted. They knew exactly who it was. Luckily the soldiers didn't. To them, it was just the sound of a nocturnal forest animal. They waited silently. Nothing happened.

Kiri started praying to Eywa with her eyes closed but her annoyed captor tugged harder on braid, telling her to shut u with gritted teeth; he pushed the barrel of his gun into her head, silencing her. They didn't hear anything but Sylwa felt her hair tingle. She could sense the presence of their father close by. He wasn't waiting for a perfect opportunity to strike. "Great mother," she prayed quietly.

"Quiet!" her captor pulled on her braid making her cry out when all of a sudden, a bullet came out of nowhere and shot him through his head, killing him. "Contact made!" another yellowed. Instantly they shot aimlessly towards the direction in which the gunshot came from. The dark made it hard to see.

"Lo'ak!' shouted the vice of their dad. Hearing his name, Lo'ak suddenly bit the soldier of his captor and he cried out. Then he grabbed onto the latch of the one of stink bombs attached to the military vests and it release a cloud of yellow smoke, blinding the soldiers.

Lo'ak freed himself just as Sylwa did the same thing before kicking the soldier between the legs, freeing herself and Tuk.

"You little…!" the female soldier cursed. Before she could try and grab them, she was shot in the head by an arrow. Their mother's.

"Come on!" Lo'ak shouted. Quickly he and his sisters made a run for it.

"I've got you, Tuki!" Sylwa lifted Tuk off her feet and carried her through the trees, guns banging behind them. She leapt over logs and bushes.

Kiri and Spider managed to escape too, another arrow taking down the soldier who had held them captive but they ran into a different part of the jungle.

The soldiers tried to shoot out at them but many of them were taken out by both Jake and Neytiri. Suddenly a soldier just saw a glimpse of the retreating Sully twins and Tuk and shot.

Tuk saw them. "Look out!"

Quickly Lo'ak and Sylwa dodged in different directions, he went left, she went right with Tuk. She leapt over branches again but the bullets were stilling being fired at them. She leapt over a log but then…

Boom!

"Sylwa!" Lo'ak cried out in fear. "Tuk!" He tried to find them but he couldn't see anything. He heard loud voices.

"Daemon! I will kill you as many times as I have to!" Neytiri shouted to Quaritch.

Sylwa heard it too. But she struggled to run quick. She had been shot. She stumbled and fell to the ground, too weak.

"Come on!" Tuk cried. "Come on!" she snaked one of her arms around her neck.

"You gotta go Tuk," she begged.

"No. Come on. Please," Tuk's wet ears pleaded with her to try and keep running. Sylwa mastered whatever strength she could and managed to stand up, her little sister refusing to leave her. As they did, they heard the loud sound of choppers. The soldiers were leaving the forest. For now. They hoped that Lo'ak, Kiri and Spider had made it out too. They managed to make it a bit further into the forest when all of a sudden they saw Neytiri running up to them, Kiri behind her.

Tuk ran into her arms, hugging her. As Sylwa fell to her knees again, the mother fell to her knees too, dropping her ow. "Are you hurt?" she mother cupped her cheeks. Sylwa cringed in pain. Neytiri gasped when she saw a bullet had hit her shoulder blade; she was bleeding. "My Jake!"

Jake appeared, Lo'ak and Neteyam with him. He gasped when he saw Sylwa had been shot. The brothers were petrified too. Quickly Neteyam pulled a piece of cloth off his loin cloth and stumbled forward pressing it over Sylwa shoulder. Kiri then used some vines to fasten it. It would do for now. But the bullet embedded in her skin was causing her agonising pain.

Neytiri hugged all three of her daughters. "Thank you great mother," she prayed. "Thank you great mother,"

Jake hugged the boys. "Where's Spider?" asked Lo'ak, suddenly afraid when he didn't see him with Kiri.

Kiri was sobbing in tears. "They took him. They took him,"

Jake pulled her into his arms, comforting her. "It's gonna be okay. He's gonna be okay,"

Sylwa cried for Spider too. Lo'ak engulfed her gently. Then Neteyam joined in. "What are they gonna do to him?" she cried.

"It's gonna be okay," Neteyam comforted. "He'll be okay,"

"He's a tough kid. He's gonna be alright. We're all gonna be okay," Jake tried to sound comforting as best as he could but nothing could make the children feel better knowing their best friend whom they deemed another brother had been taken away. Quaritch was gonna take him to the Sky People's Fortress and there was no way of breaking in and getting him out. "We've got to get back and stitch you up Sylwa,"

Jake pulled Sylwa over his shoulders and loaded her onto his Ikran once he called him over. Tuk mounted with their mum. And Kiri and Lo'ak mounted on Neteyam's. They flew straight back to the Hallelujah mountains and the Navi and their human allies were relieved to see them alive and well. Moat however was shocked to see her granddaughter had been hurt. Again. Luckily it wasn't too fatal at all.

Instantly she was taken to the tent and Kiri and Moat worked ointment on her wound. Still, they needed to get the bullet out. Norm and Max volunteered to help and they did. They were shocked to hear that Spider had been captured. They dreaded to think of what the RDA general would do to him. They knew that General Ardmore was a cruel, selfish woman who took great pleasure in destroying Pandora's landscapes just to get what she wanted. Though she claimed it was for the benefit of humankind who had destroyed Earth's greenery and were now paying the price for it, it was no justification for the wrongs she was committing to the Navi people.

As the doctors laid Sylwa on her side on a hospital bed in the lab, Neytiri was beside her holding her hand. From outside, the rest of the children and Jake tensed as they could hear her screams.

Lo'ak pursed his lips, feeling guilty. All he wanted was to take his twin out into the forest to make her feel happy again. But instead, they had all been captured, painfully restrained and now they had lost Spider whilst she had been shot. If it had been more fatal…

"Why did you take her out of the cave?" Jake hissed, knowing full well it was Lo'ak's idea that they were all out there in first place.

He couldn't face him. "She needed to get out,"

"Dad, it was our idea," Kiri stood up. "We all wanted to go to the forest. Spider did too. This wasn't Lo'ak's fault,"

Before an argument could arise, Neytiri exited the lab. They glanced at her worriedly. "She's gonna be fine," she said. Lo'ak sighed in relief. Kiri hugged Tuk. "She just needs some rest,"

"Come on. Let's let her rest," Jake escorted the boys and Kiri away but Tuk stayed where she was crying a bit. Sylwa could have been killed saving her life. "It's okay Tuk," Neytiri comforted. "She's gonna be all right,"

"She saved my life. She was so brave,"

Neytiri smiled; she was. "She was. She's gonna be all right," She wiped her tears away before taking her back to the tent and all but Lo'ak were inside resting, shaken by everything that had happened only hours ago. She above all was the most shaken. The man who had killed her father was about there in the form of an Avatar. And he was not going to stop until he got revenge on both her and her mate. She sent Tuk inside and sent beside a guilt-stricken Lo'ak.

Knowing why she was sitting there, he sighed. "She needed to get out. I thought taking her out would make her feel better. I never meant to put her or anyone else in danger,"

"You couldn't have known what was going to happen," Neytiri was more relieved than angry. She was just so happy that all of her children were safe and sound. But as much as she disliked Spider, she took pity on him because she knew how much he meant to them. Especially the twins.

"Dad's madder at me now more than ever,"

"The storm will pass. The only thing that matters is that you're all safe. And Sylwa will be alright,"

"You should have seen what he did to her. I felt so helpless being unable to do anything," he shed a tear.

"He is not going to hurt any of you," she vowed. "Now while your father and I drew breath. Sylwa is still alive. That's what's important,"

"Is it okay if I go see her?"

Neytiri wanted to refuse but she could see how much he wanted to and nodded. He walked numbly over to the lab. Norm and Max allowed him instead and his heart fell seeing Sylwa lying weakly on the hospital bed. Though the bullet had been taken out, she had lost quite a lot of blood and needed a transfer. She was attached to some wires connecting to a heart machine and it was beating strongly. Her head turned and she saw her twin.

He walked over, taking her hand. She clasped it tightly. "You okay?"

"I'm fine,"

He sniffled. "I'm so sorry,"

"Don't be. It's not your fault,"

"If that shot had hit you somewhere else…" he couldn't bear to imagine.

"Lo'ak…" she sat up. "It wasn't your fault. This is as just my fault as yours," she began to cry. "What if we never see Spider again? How are we ever going to get him back?"

Lo'ak pulled her into a gentle hug. "He's gonna be okay. I doubt Quaritch would let anything bad happen to him. I mean he is.." he drifted off. He didn't want to believe it himself when they saw the two talk. But one thing they did was that when Spider looked at him, he saw bitter hatred.

"Doesn't matter if they're related or not. That daemon is a monster. Why isn't he dead like he should be?" as shaken as she was by that recording they had observed when Quaritch watched it himself, it was a clear reminder of how cruel and uncaring the sky people were and why their father betrayed his birth race many years ago.

Her twin couldn't say an answer. "You should rest," he gently laid her against the pillow.

"Will you stay with me?"

He nodded and took a seat and sat beside her, holding her hand. Just like he did when she was being healed by Eywa at the tree of souls. The doctors didn't bother asking him to leave. His love for Sylwa was what she needed to make it through tonight.
