Jaun was with his parents in the bullhead port. His parents had to return home to ensure the kids were all right. They said goodbye and hoped that Jaune would return for the holidays. But before they left, Jaune gave them a box of veggies that he got from the Dreamscape. It should be helpful for his growing sisters back home.
When Jaune returned to his dorm, he did not see a symbol suddenly appear on it as he opened it. He was shocked at what he saw. What was meant to be inside Beacon now became outside some unknown place. Jaune looked back, and the door he went through was gone.
Jaune didn't know what was happening, "What the hell is happening? Where am I?"
Not too far away from Jaune, he saw an arrow in the sky, and it hit something. But the target of the arrow was not affected by it. The hulking man merely stood there unmoving. Not long later, a knight and the hulking man exchanged attacks, but the knight was disadvantaged.
The exchange between the giant and the knight was causing damage in the surrounding area. But honestly, it was not as much damage as Jaune causes when he is fighting a Zombie Emperor.
Somewhere, Jaune heard a voice saying, "Time to end this! Crush her, Berserker!"
A girl in a red coat ran toward the hulking man and threw a bunch of crystals, which caused the giant to kneel. Then, arrows hit the giant and exploded with no effect on the giant.
Being who he is, Jaune decided to help. He brought out his Absolute Spear and donned his armor through the Ring of Replacement.
[Ring of Replacement: Assassin Chameleon's rare drop item. It is possible to switch to the equipment registered in this bracelet instantly]
The hulking man charged at the knight again, but Jaune intercepted it this time.
The girl in the red coat was shocked. She said, "Who is that?"
A man standing on a rooftop saw Jaune but could not identify him. When he tried to trace the weapon in Jaune's hand, he had nasty feedback. He said, "Augh! That's never happened before. Who is he?"
Jaune and the giant had their weapons locked, but with a flick of Jaune's wrist, the giant brute was flung. He pulled back his Absolute Spear and threw it at his target without giving the giant a chance.
Like a supersonic bullet, the spear flew and hit the giant, taking more than 70% of its body apart.
The knight looked at Jaune and said, "Strong. He made it look easy."
The girl in the red coat said, "Tsk! Is he one of the Servants? This is not good…Wait, that's not making sense. I already met Lancer."
The girl was trying to think. She was sure she already met the Lancer class. There was no way multiple same classes were being summoned. If the man before her was not a Servant, that notion scared her.
Jaune sighed as he thought it was over, but he saw a red light emitting from the giant man, and he started reforming his body. He said, "This is interesting. Nothing like this has happened before."
As great as the Absolute Spear was, Jaune changed things and brought out his Infinity Gauntlet. He wanted to see if the giant before him was immortal.
With a mighty roar, the giant finished reforming, and a voice in the distance shouted, "Kill him, Berserker!"
The giant known as Berserker charged at Jaune, who punched the giant in the head while wielding the Infinity Gauntlet, causing a splash of blood everywhere.
The voice in the distance shouted, "Berserker!"
The girl in the red coat said, "You've got to be kidding me! He could kill that thing a second time with a single hit!"
The man said, "Is he a Servant too?"
The knight replied, "I don't think that man's a Servant. Something is wrong. Haven't you noticed how dense the mana around him is?"
Once again, red light emitted from the giant.
Jaune thought, 'Is this thing immortal? If that's the case…" he took out the Death Scythe.
[Death Scythe: A scythe that could even kill the God of Death. It is said to be capable of cutting anything the contractor wants. Any existence cut by this scythe, no matter how small it is, will give a fatal wound]
Berserker charged at Jaune, but he moved in a zigzag pattern this time. He used his technique to try and eliminate Jaune.
In Jaune's vision, the stone sword multiplied into nine. Without hesitation, Jaune activated Ultra Instinct and avoided the technique.
But it was not over. In the Ultra Instinct state, Jaune said, "Like this?" and copied the Berserker technique. The only difference, he was using the Death Scythe.
Berserker was cut into nine places at once, and with Death Scythe's ability, he died without the ability to regenerate.
A little girl then appeared, shouting, "Berserker!" She was in tears.
Jaune looked at the little girl and said, "So, you're controlling that thing."
The girl looked at Jaune menacingly as if she would kill him. But he moved faster than she could perceive.
Jaune lifted her from the back of her collar, took out a chair, sat down, and placed the little girl in his lap, which he proceeded to spank while saying, "Bad! Bad! Bad! Bad!"
At first, the girl was curing him, but eventually, the little girl cried and said, "Waa! Waa! I won't do it again!"
Jaune nodded and said, "Good! Little girls shouldn't be roaming around at night trying to kill people. Head on home."
The little girl shook her head and said, "I can't. With Berserker gone, they no longer have any use for me. I'm nothing more than a failure to them. They'll discard me like the rest."
Jaune eyed the little girl and knew that she wasn't lying. Then anger rose, and he thought, 'Whom is she talking about? Her parents? Are they really that disgusting that they would only see her as a tool and discard her when she is no longer useful?"
Jaune didn't know it, but everyone around him felt the immense magical energy coming from him. That being said, others also felt it. Even the person that shot the arrows from far away could feel his magical power.
The magical energy was domineering to others, but to the little girl Jaune was spanking, she felt a sense of comfort from it.
Sometime later, Jaune and the little girl ended up on a roof. He has been trying to figure out a way to head back home. He didn't know the little girl's name, so he asked, "What's your name?"
She looked at Jaune and said, "Illyasviel von Einzbern, but you can call me Illya."
Jaune nodded and said, "I'm Jaune Arc. Nice to meet you, Illya."
Jaune was going through his skills and finally saw how he got here. He said, "So that's how I ended up here. But why did it activate without me triggering it? Or did I somehow trigger it unconsciously?"
He looked down at Illya and asked, "Hey, Illya. You told me you had no more use since the Berserker died. And that you would end up being discarded. If that's the case, do you want to come with me? I know a few people that would appreciate you."
Illya didn't know what to do. Should she trust Jaune? But thinking about it, going back to the Einzbern Castle was suicide now that Berserker was gone. She told Jaune, "I don't have much choice. Returning would spell certain death. I don't know what would happen to me if I joined you. My fate would be unknown, which is better than the alternative."
Jaune put a hand on her head and said, "Don't worry, I won't do anything untoward to you. And I bet you would get along with my sisters."
The entire time Jaune spoke to Illya, he took control over his ability as Master of the Door.
Jaune asked, What would it be?"
Illya replied, "I'll follow you."
He wasn't ready yet. Jaune hasn't gotten complete control of his ability. So, he bought time by asking, "By the way, what was that thing you called Berserker?"
Illya then explained, " They are called Servants. They are Spirits made into special familiars of the highest rank, referred to as Ghost Liners by the Mage's Association, that are bound to the Master, in this case, me. Typically Heroic Spirits under most systems. They can also sometimes be Divine Spirits, Phantoms, Wraiths, and living people, depending on various circumstances…."
Illya continued explaining everything to Jaune. It was a lot, but he caught on quickly. When the explanations were done, Jaune had complete control over the Master of Door title. The only reason he struggled with it is because he's never used magic.
Jaune said to Illya, "Are you ready to go?"
Illya nodded at Jaune and followed him through a door.
