Valtazar: The stern grandmother of the silver-haired genius meeting Odin's son will be fun to write.
Alasiir The Ranger: Your wait is over! The next chapter is here!
Optimus470: You think Odin's theory is correct? Will just have to see what comes next for the young Aesir.
Terror: Interesting question.
Guest-Questioner: You are certain they will either join the Devils or Asgard are you? Do not be quick to assume what is to come yet my friend.
Vulcan: Ylva and her sister Eivor will return but not yet, paitence my friend.
Valtazar: That's right, and didn't you comment before? lol
Optimus470: Another second comment by the same person? lol. Yes Commodus turned rogue.
Lorenzo Macchiavelli: Thor is on the road to making peace with the Church but he still has a long way to go to fully accept them.
With the Holy Sword crisis averted Thor and his friends listen to the king and queen's command to rest until the peace summit but Thor has other plans than just sitting around and relaxing.
Thor was bleeding, he was on one knee and struggling against the onslaught of attacks sent his way, struggling to stand he was blindsided by a hard punch to the face sending him tumbling across the courtyard as Jarnbjorn slipped from his fingers. Thor glared at his foe, he never gave him a chance to stand or even catch his breath, the God of Light was not pulling his punches. Two days after returning to Asgard Thor put himself through vigorous training seasons to hone his skills, today, on the third day, his second older brother approached wishing to spar with him, no sooner was the request accepted than Baldur attacked. Poor Thor could barely keep up or even counterattack his brother who was a blur of light with each attack hitting its mark. The recent strike to his head left him dazed with the world spinning.
"Come on, Thor! You can do better!" Baldur sternly called to his brother, "You couldn't bring yourself to hurt Eris and you were no match for Ares! How do you expect to become king and reclaim your spot among the top ten if you can't even land an attack on me!?"
Thor gritted his teeth in response to the question, he wanted to save Eris not kill her and Ares would have been beaten had he not lost that power boost but Baldur was right he would never reach his goals if he couldn't defeat a God. They were among the strongest beings in the world, save only Great Red, Ophis, and the Heavenly Dragons outclassing them.
"Get up, Thor!" Baldur ordered arms crossed, "A few punches shouldn't keep you down! You're stronger than this! Or are you purposely holding back like you did to Miss Rossweisse?"
Thor took off like a bolt of thunder towards his brother at the comment, he was gonna regret saying he held back. Reeling his fist back he threw it as hard as he could at the God of Light, even if Baldur was immune to his attacks he would make sure this would hit and send him flying. The plan backfired by Baldur blocking with his elbow followed by a right hook and knee to the face.
"Pointless!" Baldur cried before burning his fist into Thor's stomach, sending him flying high into the air. Recognizing the attack used against Byggvir in the Brawl Competition Thor activated flight magic to stabilize himself in the air and threw up defense runes around himself seconds before Baldur made contact. Twisting his body to prevent his brother from grabbing him, Thor brought his cupped fist down upon Baldur's head and stunned him for a moment which was all Thor needed to perform a somersault kick sending Baldur falling back to the courtyard.
Thor gave chase not wanting to let up on the assault, thunder was power and lighting was fast, both he had to use to defeat Baldur. However, Baldur was faster than Thor expected, recovering from the attacks the God of Light spun his body to allow himself to land in a crouch and launch himself at Thor. As they drew closer, the tattoos upon Baldur's body glowed brightly while Thor's first was coated in thunder, their fists colliding, erecting a blinding light all around Asgard for a brief moment. When it faded Thor laid sprawl upon the floor Baldur kneeling before him a proud smile upon his bearded face.
"Impressive. You managed to put up a brutal assault on me. However you relied upon your anger," the smile faded, "the same anger you used to defeat Kokabiel. I know you have a short temper but you must not let your anger control or empower you. You can grow stronger through determination, endurance, and most importantly love. Grow strong to protect those you love, your family, your kingdom, your friends… Rossweisse."
Throbbing with pain Thor lifted his head to look at his brother, can love give him more strength than rage? Baldur wasn't just the God of Light, his mixed DNA of Aesir and Vanir earned him the title God of Beauty and while he loved to fight as an Aesir he saw beauty in things as a Vanir. To Baldur the ugliest thing in the Nine Realms would be beautiful, he just couldn't look upon things negatively, even Ares' who he was ready to beat to a bloody pulp if he harmed Thor.
"In your youth, in your time before your revival, you were like this; quick-tempered and reliant upon your anger, using it to win any battle, even a simple competition. Yet this rage only manifested after Rossweisse was harmed, but seeing someone you love get hurt can trigger negative emotions to form."
…Rose…
The image of the Valkyrie wounded, the blood, her blood, raining down upon them, flashed through Thor's mind. She was alive but it riled Thor nonetheless, the fact that he wasn't fast enough to protect her, to save her from harm, angered him the most. He would not allow that to happen again but would Rossweisse let him save her from harm or throw him out of the way to protect him as his bodyguard? She had said it was her duty to protect him many times, so yes, she definitely would protect him from protecting her.
Remembering Baldur was still standing before him Thor tried to stand but the pain was excruciating, his final attack drained him of energy and stamina. Clenching his teeth to fight back a grunt of pain Thor slowly began rising to his feet until he was face to face with his older brother. The blue-haired God nodded, stepped back a pace, and took up a fighting stance.
"Prepare yourself, Thor. I'm about to teach you Glima."
Not far
Sigrun was accompanying Freya on a stroll through the palace and spotted Baldur training Thor, together the Valkyries watched from a balcony overlooking the courtyard.
"He's improving." Said Sigrun watching Thor throw Baldur onto his back who laughed with delight at his brother's quick learning.
"Yes." Agreed Freya, "Each day he grows in strength. I hope soon he will be strong enough to wield Mjolnir."
One violet eyebrow was cocked at the concern detected within the queen's voice, "You don't think he can?"
"The original Mjolnir was a weapon so powerful only few could wield. The replica may look as it was originally planned but due to my silly husband getting drunk, put a spell upon it so only those pure of heart may wield it. My son is strong but strength alone cannot lift the hammer. His heart must be pure and even though he fought alongside agents of the Church and forgave them I still feel resentment for the Church in him."
"So he lied?"
"No. Of the thousands of Exorcists within the Church those three have come to be seen as good people. He cares for them but what about the others? He hasn't met other Exorcists save that disgusting clone of Siegfried."
Sigrun stared at the queen, "Clone?"
Freya nodded, "When an autopsy was made we discovered the DNA of Siegfried within him. Odin concluded he must be a clone."
Sigrun gasped, "That's impossible! Cloning has never been done! How could they even get his DNA?"
"We can only guess for now." Sighed Freya, "I hope Heaven will tell us how they achieved his DNA among other things."
"We helped prevent a war from happening and saved the lives of their followers. You know Thor's victory over Kokabiel is being talked about all over the kingdom."
"Indeed it is. We saw the battle via Odin's magic, we watched Thor defeat Kokabiel in a fit of rage."
A shiver ran down Sigrun's spine. In her youth, she was told tales about Thor's quick temper leading to violent ends for those who crossed him and she had witnessed it firsthand, the memory of Thor's wild fury unleashed upon Kokabiel for hurting Rossweisse, the promise to kill the Cadre, and ripping out his wings would stay with her forever. Thrice she awoke in the night from the event and thrice she laid awake.
Silence fell upon the Valkyrie and her queen as they watched the training until Freya said, "Brynhildr has taught you well. You saved Olympus and my son with the skills she taught you. I exactly what you deserve as a reward."
Within the palace
"Peace? With Devils AND Angels? Prepostrucious. Such an act would be a disgrace against your father."
Loki's words were followed by a loud snort of indignantly earning a glare from the Allfather and his eldest son. During the crisis, Loki had departed Asgard saying he had a personal matter to deal with in Jotunheim and to see his daughter in Helheim once the God of Mischief had returned was notified by Odin of what happened on Midgard and he was not pleased with the outcome.
"Disagree all you like, brother, but coexistence with the Christian Faction will happen. That young Satan and Azazel have both agreed to the Peace Summit. Now we just need Heaven to open its gates to join the talks." Said Odin sternly, the Allfather was a patient man but even he was starting to get fed up with Loki's complaining, "You didn't have a problem with the Vanir joining us."
"They are part of our Faction. Joining with outsiders will allow them to know our secrets. Secrets that they will use against us. They are our enemies and-
"Our enemies?" Vidar repeated, golden eyes narrowing, "The only enemies we have are the Giants of Jotunheim and now this Khaos Brigade, and they are the enemy to everyone. Our alliances aren't just for peace and coexistence but to help one another if the Khaos Brigade attacks again. We have already shared secrets with Olympus and Grigori and they have done the same with us as well as helping the Dwarves rebuild and even improve Asgard. We, you, along with those who sit back and silently disagree with the Allfather's ideas, should be grateful for their help."
"Those who sit back and silently disagree?" Repeated Loki with a sneer, "I don't seem to recall anyone else speaking up about Odin's actions of breaking our own law of reaching out to other Factions."
"That law was laid down by my grandfather." Said Odin, "A law I have changed for I am the king of Asgard now. It's time for things to change. I have heard your concerns and now it's time to gather the silent complainers to let them speak with me and my queen."
Loki's expression couldn't be read but deep within his soul, he was fuming with rage at his blood brother's words. This was not the ruthless prince he met before the Aesir-Vanir war, but a perverted old fool who became soft and weak after losing his precious son. A son whose resurrection was a mystery he still didn't gain knowledge on. For holding the title of God of Knowledge he was pathetic at it now, once he was able to gain knowledge through wits and didn't stop until he claimed it. Now, however, the old pervert would discuss his failed attempts to gain knowledge about Thor's connection with the Church to that Vanir witch he married.
If things continue the way they are…plans may have to be accelerated.
Among the streets of Asgard
Rossweisse made her way through the crowd careful not to bump into anyone less her grocery bags tear or slip from her fingers. After Freya granted her time off the first thing Rossweisse did was go shopping to restock her fridge, that 99-cent store down the street from her apartment was a lifesaver on money and distance. If it wasn't there she'd have to go all the way to the downtown district to that overpriced store.
Who pays that much for a gallon of milk anyway?
As the Valkyrie passed a couple she noticed they were holding hands, prompting a small sigh to escape her lips. Oh, how she wished to be in a relationship with any man… no …not any man, with Thor. Her cheeks lit up, how could a thought like that come to mind? A relationship with Thor, the Allfather's son, was impossible to have; he was the prince of Asgard and she a lowly Valkyrie commanded to train him. However looking back on the battle, when she was bleeding out assuming she would die, the first thing to come to mind was not her family, accomplishments achieved throughout her life or even Asgard. It was the one man who acknowledged her as a friend, the God of Thunder Thor.
"Hey look, it's the Valkyrie who's never had a boyfriend."
"Not anymore! Remember she was with Lord Thor at the festival! Does that mean they're dating?"
"They have to be! I see them together all over Asgard!"
"Ahhh! No fair I wanted to date the Allfather's son!"
"You know! It's rude to talk about someone when they can hear you." Rossweisse said to the gathered girls who scampered away with cheeks as red as Thor's hair. When they were out of sight she muttered, "Gossip girls."
Grudges weren't the only thing Asgard was known for; the kingdom of the Aesir was a hotspot for gossip and rumors and Baldur was the biggest talker in all of Asgard. It was he who spread the word about the duel Thor had against Andreas to defend Rossweisse from the Greek's insults. That had been the first time saving her and he did so again against Kokabiel.
Like everyone else who partook in the battle, she watched Thor's beating on Kokabiel, the beating because that madman hurt and insulted her. The deed was noble but Thor's berserk rampage left the school greatly damaged, luckily the Allfather and Lucifer repaired it overnight leaving no trace of the battle for the humans to notice. Every time she looked back on his first moment defending her the Valkyries' heart fluttered, especially his encouraging words about finding a boyfriend, no man ever said that to her.
Didn't I just think about this at Olympus? Why do I keep thinking about it? About Thor? Am I truly falling in love with the Allfather's son?
"Rossweisse! Miss Rossweisse!"
The calling of her name caught the warrior maiden's attention. Looking for whoever was calling her she spotted them and was surprised to see it was Azazel's son, Azrael. Now what could he want, she wondered as the Fallen Angel hybrid reached her.
"I saw you in the crowd. Need any help?"
Remembering Thor's attempts to help her, Rossweisse accepted Azrael's aid to carry some bags. Once secure in his arms the pair set off to her apartment, the duo getting strange looks sent their way but neither paid heed to it. Once free of the crowds the Fallen Angel struck up a conversation.
"How are you feeling? That attack by Kokabiel must have hurt."
"It did until Asia healed me. Her Sacred Gear is quite impressive to heal all the wounds."
"Twilight Healing can heal every wound, no matter how fatal it is. Even leaving no scar. Its power is on par with the tears of a Phoenix. Albeit you can't reattach a lost limb or reduce exhaustion, or cure illnesses. In fact, the last two are unhealable by both."
"Phoenix tears are only acquirable in the Underworld via the Phenex noble family, yes?" The warrior maiden had heard about the famous immortal bird and the Devil family that was rumored to have connections to it. The possibility of this rumor was shrouded in mystery, nobody knew how that particular family was connected to the Phoenix, save the Bael Clan.
"Correct, those tears are said to be the strongest healing source in all the Supernatural world. Or at least that's what my father told me."
"I was told the same about Idumm's apples."
"Hmm. Each faction must be proud of its healing medicine. With all our people uniting we can deduce which one has the most powerful medicine. Or possibly combined them into something to heal all beings."
"Could such a thing be possible?"
"My father's a genius, he'll work something out."
Rossweisse smiled, "You seem close to Azazel despite not knowing him for long."
Azrael blushed, "Well I am his son and I've been wanting to grow closer to him ever since I discovered my fallen angel powers. Plus where else would I have to go? My mother's memories were erased of me and him to keep her safe from harm and I feel I can do more good helping him unite our people."
"Your goal is very noble. Thor was right to ask for your aid."
Azreal threw out his chest proudly, "And I'm glad I was able to do so. I must admit I wasn't expecting your boyfriend to be so humble. I thought he was like the legends; clumsy, bloodthirsty, and full of rage."
"That is NOT true!" Rossweisse huffed, "Lord Thor was and is nothing like what the legends said My grandmother and parents said the God of Thunder was a kind and humble man who, albeit loved fighting and going on adventures, wanted to see the Nine Realms thrive in peace."
"You seem to have left out his rage," Azreal added quirking a black brow, "Was he quick to anger as the rumor says?"
Rossweisse turned away, "That…was true, unfortunately. Despite his kind nature and wish to see peace he had little patience and was always quick to outbursts of anger. Granted those who witnessed it said it was on rare occasions. Grandma Gondul always said he would try to reign in his anger and even seek out counseling with the wisest in all the Nine Realms."
Azreal couldn't help imagining the God of Thunder lying on a couch talking to a counselor about his anger issues, it sounded funny but he knew it was not something to laugh about. Short temper and angry outbursts were not good emotions to have when trying to endorse peace around the world. Yet from the short time being around Thor, the only outburst of anger was against Kokabiel after he hurt Rossweisse which, from the Fallen Angel's point of view, gave him the right to be angry.
"Nevertheless, Thor still tried to quell his temper and tried to unite the people in peace. Back then it wasn't as easy as it is now. The Giants were more brutal and still longing to rebuild their empire. Clans would unite and attempt to attack Asgard but every plot was foiled by Thor. I remember the story of Thrym stealing Mjolnir."
"A giant managed to steal the hammer? I thought you had to be pure of heart to use it?"
"Not the original. You just need to be very strong to use it and Thrym, being a giant, had strength great enough to lift the hammer and carry it off."
"How did he get it back?"
Rossweisse snickered, "Well… after Mjolnir was stolen Thor awoke to find the hammer missing…"
The Valkyrie finished the story just as they reached her apartment leaving the Fallen Angel hybrid's thoughts mixed on the matter; Thor having to dress up as his mother was hilarious but his brutal slaughter of Thrym and his whole clan was uncalled for. He did not need to wipe out all of Clan Thrym just for stealing his hammer but that weapon had the power to kill Gods and Thrym was said to be maniacal and declared his intent to destroy Asgard with Mjolnir during the setup wedding. So was Thor in the right to massacre the clan?
As if reading his thoughts Rossweisse spoke up, "I told you he massacred clan Thrym. That, however, was a lie by Loki."
"Then why tell me the lie and not the truth?"
"So you can hear both accounts. What really happened was when the hammer was presented, Thor revealed himself and seized it back leaving Thrym and his clan at his mercy and mercy Thor would have shown them if they didn't attack him. Thor fought in defense, not aggression."
"But you said he loved to fight and hated Jotun."
Rose threw a nasty glare towards Azreal, "I did not say he HATED Jotun. He was part Jotun from his mother, Jord. He didn't hate them he only fought them for they were Asgards's enemies. But there are good Jotun's whom Thor was friends like Aurvandill and Hymir. He loved to fight not to kill but knew he had to kill to protect those he loves. The Aesir-Vanir War was a bloody conflict he fought and lived through. That experience made him see war is wrong and he wanted to see peace made."
"And this new Thor is the same as the old?"
"It's possible." Said Rossweisse while unlocking her door and leading them inside, "You were there when Eris said he was not the real Thor but the inheritor of his spirit. I didn't believe it at first, but after the Allfather's speculation, Thor's spirit may have come into contact with a human and passed his spirit through each family member until his spirit was strong enough to reawaken and claim a body. How the Church found him first is a mystery Odin is still trying to uncover."
"The Church has their ways of taking whatever they want without others knowing." Said the hybrid Fallen, "Do you think Heaven is disappointed in the actions of their followers? I'm not saying other Factions or religions have done bad things but in this day and age, the Church has been getting hated a lot. When I was living with my mother oh boy the things I discovered from watching the news about the Church. There was this one incident about some priests doing sexual things to little boys."
"Little boys?" Repeated Rossweisse, horrified at this information.
"Yeah, and when the Pope found out excommunicated them and declared a full apology speech about it."
So even the pope condemned their actions. If Thor hears this he may see more good within the Church.
"How is Thor?" Azrael asked after setting the bags on the counter, he hadn't seen him since the battle at Kuoh and wondered how he was taking it.
Rossweisse's expression soured, "He's doing what Ares said; get stronger to face him. He's been training nonstop since returning to Asgard. I'm getting worried he will be consumed by the God of War's words and focus only not power."
"If he is as he was before he won't allow such a thing to happen," Azrael reassured, "I don't think it's just because of Ares' words but because he had to rely on the Heavenly Dragon's powers and…"
"And couldn't protect me…" Rossweisse finished, her cheeks reddening slightly.
"That too. I'm sure he feels great guilt for not protecting you. You're his friend and he is the Prince of Asgard. He probably feels it is his duty to protect the people of Asgard as well as Midgard. Just as you feel it's your duty as Odin's bodyguard to protect him. Despite the fact that none of the God's need protecting."
"Odin may be lecherous but he isn't young anymore and needs protecting."
"Sounds like Thor needs it more than his father. I saw the report about Olympus, he did a helluva job cutting down monsters but couldn't bring himself to harm Eris. But I guess that's changed after she killed Vandill. How did his father take the news?"
"I don't know. He is in Jotunheim."
"Ah." Azrael paused, then said, "Well I also saw your report about the human you fought, The Alchemist. A human, a hero like Heracles, with power to rival yours until he drank that vial to overpower you. Do you know what that was?"
"A power boost with hideous side effects of transforming into a beast and destroying one's body if lost control. Everything was disintegrated from The Alchemist leaving no clue behind."
Rossweisse would never forget that battle on Olympus, that human called The Alchemist was a foe even for her, and after he drank that vial became a force of unstoppable fury that surely would have killed her had his own power not destroyed him. Did Heracles years have a vial too and if so why not use it? Perhaps too arrogant about his own power and loss because of it.
Suddenly a ringing emitted from Azrael's pocket, retrieving his phone the boy's eyes narrowed slightly followed by a sigh, "Looks like dad's need me. I'll catch you later."
The Valkyrie bid farewell leaving her alone to her thoughts. Azrael made a point about Thor's desire to grow stronger to protect her, she witnessed his distress over it and understood his reason to grow stronger to protect her and the kingdom. But was that the only reason? Did Ares' words affect him as well? These questions needed answering and she knew there was a time and place for it but not yet.
Asgard palace grounds
"Again!" Cried Baldur before he was grabbed roughly and slammed into the ground, the blue-haired God unfazed by the attack with his invulnerability. All day the Aesir-Vanir hybrid had been training Thor in the use of hand-to-hand combat, teaching him Glima, and other techniques learned from his travels around Midgard. Despite all the defeats he delivered upon Thor, the God of Thunder still rose to continue training, he was determined to grow stronger and he was with each new skill learned today. As Baldur got back to his feet he staggered a bit and would have fallen had his brother not been there to support him, his face wrapped with concern.
"You alright?"
"I may be is blessed with invulnerability to all threats, physical or magical. That doesn't mean grow tired."
This surprised Thor, "You? Grow tired?"
Baldur chuckled, "Mother's spell only gave me invulnerability, not unlimited stamina. You could keep fighting me and eventually, I would run out of steam. In fact, Hrugnir was going to knock me unconscious with his attacks if he didn't quit the match to fight you. I told you before your attack was strong but it didn't have the force to knock me out. Someday you will become stronger than I and be able to knock me out with just one punch."
"I think now is a good time to stop." Said Thor, he was focused on the training he lost track of time and by the position of the sun, he had to guess it was somewhere in the early or mid-afternoon.
"As much I wanna keep helping you I have to agree. All we've done today is train. We, you, need to still focus on your school work. Now don't give me that look brother. Even Vidar and I attended Valhalla. All the residents of Asgard, warriors, and citizens alike, must have an education from Valhalla Academy."
"What exactly is Valhalla Academy to the Norse Realm? I know we are Gods and have a duty to protect the Nine Realms but why must we study?"
Baldur had to laugh at such a simple question, "Why? Thor, we aren't just brutal warriors seeking glory. Like the humans who worship us, we live civilized lives trading with the other Realms until the Allfather, in his travels around Midgard, returned with knowledge about the evolution of human society. What once was a hall for the Gods became a thriving city with citizens working as bus drivers, managers, bartenders, janitors, bankers, construction workers, councilors, teachers, and whatever else they wish to be."
"But Asgaridn and Vanirian men and women still join our army and Valkyries and what about the Einherjar? Do they just sit in Valhalla awaiting Ragnarok? A prophecy that may never happen?"
"The Einherjar's are a complicated case. They are Odin's elite fighting force, humans who die in battle and await Ragnarok. Yes, they are allowed to leave Asgard but they rarely do for what awaits them outside of the kingdom? They died in battle and now await for the Twilight of the Gods."
"Henrietta died of cancer but she was still given a place among the Einherjar by mom and Andreas is not native to Scandinavia."
"Very true but aside from those two have you ever heard of other Einherjar's venturing out into Midgard or traveling the realms?"
"No. But Andreas wanted to see his family and I personally asked Henrietta to help me."
"Quite right. Which means they are the first Einherjar to ever leave Asgard. Ragnar and his sons only left for Olympus to rebuild their army on Odin's orders. You are Odin's son and if you wish to have them join your team in helping make peace for the Supernatural world no one is stopping you."
The team. He had been wanting to form a team to help him connect the Factions together in harmony but the fiasco about the Holy Swords had driven it out of his mind. Yet in that battle when his friends came to help they showed great teamwork in what each should do. Did Rossweisse plan their attack before arriving inside the barrier? Her prowess as a genius would make her a great tactician on the battlefield but she was sworn to protect the Allfather.
I wonder how those Einherjar are doing right now?
Valhalla
Henrietta sighed, once again she bested another contest of drinking but the cheers that filled the hall did not bring joy to the blonde beauty. She was, dare she say it, bored of doing the same thing every day; waking up, teaching the kids, winning contests in Valhalla, and going to bed. As a teacher, it was her duty to see the new generation graduate her class and as an Einherjar to prepare for the Twilight of the Gods yet that day never came. Baldur still lives, Fenrir hasn't escaped his prison, and Surtr is dead, perhaps the prophecy was wrong and it had already happened when Surtr attacked and Thor laid down his life to protect Asgard. She loved teaching students she always will but being cooped up in Asgard waiting for Ragnarok to possibly never happen made life boring for her. Those few days upon Midgard helping Thor prevent a war from happening had filled her with excitement and the desire to do more.
Will the Allfather allow me to aid his son again if he asks for it? She thought while taking a drink of her ale. During the Holy Sword fiasco, she made it her duty to ensure all those kids would survive to see the sunrise the next day and had succeeded, well almost. If Rias hadn't reincarnated Aurvandill's son into her servant and Asia healed Rossweisse she would never forgive herself for failing to protect those children. Rossweisse may have the attitude of a mature adult but was still the same age as Thor, she was still, in the eyes of Henrietta, a child.
The blonde warrior lowered her mug smiling as she recalled the silver-haired Valkyrie holding Thor in her arms after the battle was won. The closeness, the relief, and affection shown towards the prince were obvious she had feelings for Odin's son. Henrietta was no stranger to love, she once was in a relationship before becoming an Einherjar of Agard, wherever that man was now she hoped he was happy. Rossweisse was a master of magic with a smart mind but never got to experience the pleasures of being loved by a man, at least until Thor came into her life. He must have done something to make her love him, whatever it was she wanted to find out and help strengthen her bond with the Aesir.
Valhalla's doors opening caught Henrietta's attention and she spotted Andreas enter. Now that is interesting, what could the Green Einherjar be doing here? Raising her right arm she caught Andreas' attention by beckoning him over to join her.
"What are you doing in Valhalla?" She asked before refilling her mug with more ale.
"I've come to see you. I remember seeing you in the battle and recognizing you as Valhalla's champion. I'm pleased to meet you, Ms. Berg."
"Call me Ms. Berg when I'm teaching." Henrietta said with a smile to the Greek, "Sigrun told me about you while you were away building an army for Olympus. How are things over there?"
"Better. Ragnar and his Sons did an excellent job in shaping them into soldiers. Jason and his Argonauts, along with Achilles and Hector also helped train the army. With so many veteran warriors we rebuilt Olympus' army faster than Zeus expected which impressed him greatly. Now they have an army to combat any threat that comes their way. Maybe someday our armies will fight together."
"Maybe." Agreed Henrietta, "You both fought well in the battle. As did Rias Gremory and her servants. If her Knight had been saved by Odin he would have made a great Einherjar."
"Kiba?" Said Andreas, remembering the blonde boy's name after properly introducing himself to the Devils after the battle, "I fought alongside him. He is proficient with a sword and his newly awakened Balance Breaker will make him a powerful ally. I agree he would have made a good Einherjar. All of them would."
"Except for Issei…" A shadow passed over the blonde's face, "He's worse than Odin. He used a technique to strip an Amazon of her armor just to see her breasts."
Andreas looked as if he was just slapped, "You're kidding!"
"Ask Thor, he saw it too. I feel sorry for the Red Dragon Emperor for being possessed by him. Then again he is just a boy and some boys just can't control their hormones. I've dealt with many children like that."
The Einherjar ran a hand along his face unable to hide his annoyance at Rias' Pawn being a pervert worse than Odin. Hopefully, Vandill can endure the pervert's antics.
"Come!" The blonde warrior cried grabbing an empty mug and shoving it into the Greek's hand with a wide grin, "Let us drink to our victory!"
One downtime chapter is done another is on the way! Next chapter will be a fun one that I'm certain you will enjoy. Ta ta for now.
