Thank you for all the positive feedback on the latest chapter. I'm so grateful you all enjoy it. With the peace summit done it's time for some downtown.
Lorenzo Macchiavelli: Hopefully he will take that lesson to heart. He's definitely smarter than Issei.
Sovereign: Don't worry. I have plans for the wolf.
Optimus470: Two braids, actually. He beat Vali AND Bikou so that'll make five but where is Rose gonna put them?
King Scarlet: In my story, Perun was an old God with great power and is no longer around. His power was said to be stronger than Indra but perhaps that was just what the records say. Also, I will admit the whole top ten thing sounds ridiculous, especially with how OP the main characters are becoming.
Valtazar: Eris yes. Ares…definitely won't regret it. He is a God of War and the stronger Thor grows will only excite Ares more.
Livewire: Oooh Euclid. Grayfia's creepy brother. Thor is indeed destined to confront him.
Tachion: I intend to give them bigger riles than cannon and especially flesh out Creuserey more
Barricade: Freya already forgave him. Did you not see that she pities him? She said it to Thor.
Vulcan: The Lich Queen sure was troublesome.
Thor x Rose fan: Sounds like you want me to take inspiration from the author of Roots of Hope. We shall see what happens when we get to that part.
Alcatraz: That is way too far in the future to know what happens by then.
Blackout: It sure did. It's always a bad move to threaten parents.
Salazar: I am following neither but taking parts of the novel and anime and mixing them together in my story.
Sovereign: Creuserey was a big letdown in canon. He was so minor he only had one scene and plan to fix that.
Nazgul60: Even if he loses the ace he still has his fists and magic and remembers he is trying to obtain Mjolnir too.
Century: It will happen but first some downtown.
Dark Kaiser (Guest) Queen Rossweisse… I like the sound of that.
Mjolnir 2.0: I'm glad you enjoy this story. I will take your ideas into consideration but I already have plans for all three weapons.
Destroyed: Muspelheim was sealed off so no one can go to it. No one knows what the Fire Giants are up to.
Lycans: You will in time just be patient.
Havarti awoke to the sound of chirping birds and children playing and sighed, that was the sound of peace…peace after a long hard-won battle. Of all the people he fought, and the little man had fought many long before moving to Kuoh, Kuroka was without a doubt his toughest yet. Her power was not to be underestimated hence his reason for combining old Dwarven magic and demonic powers to fight her on equal ground. Granted the technique had only been done during practices but it surprised him how well it performed against the Youkai but even more so at himself for being able to use it for so long, guess all that practicing had paid off in end. Wherever he sent the black-haired feline she was probably grumbling about losing her chance to make a baby and scheming with Vali to seek revenge but she didn't seem like the type to hold grudges.
Most likely she is trying to get Vali to sleep with her or waiting for her next chance to run into Thor or Issei. Hmmm, I'm sure that pervert would jump at the chance to have sex with a voluptuous Youaki.
After he teleported Kuroka away he wondered if he would be found and sure enough, Vandill did and the two watched from afar the battle Thor had against Vali, it truly was a spectacular sight, and oh how they laughed at the humiliating slaps Thor gave the White Dragon Emperor in front of everybody. When returning to the others he was relieved to find Akeno not only survived but was also the first person to greet him, the cherry blossom perfume she wore to the peace summit had been ruined with sweat and dirt but he didn't care he was grateful to know she was alive. After some healing by her, they swapped stories about their battles and stood together when witnessing the peace treaty signing and farewell to the faction leaders. Thor and his friends from Asgard would be leaving today, but not alone, both Rias, Sona, and their Peerages were invited to a feast in Valhalla. The idea was Sigrun's who suggested they visit after the summit which the redhead was excited about and so was he.
I've always wanted to go to Asgard and now I finally can.
An hour later he was dressed and on his way to the old school building where his friends would be waiting to travel to the home of the Aesir, where Akeno would be. As he approached the double doors leading into the main office he could hear voices on the other side.
"Our little alliance thought I was a good choice to assist with the growth of so many potentials in their midst. Odin and I go way back so I had good references, which is why as of today I will be staying at your school as advisor to the Occult Research Club."
"Why are YOU here specifically?"
"Well, Serafall's little sister apparently requested it of Sirzechs. Who was I to refuse such an enticing offer?"
The Dwarf opened the doors to find the room packed to the brim; Sona with Tsubaki and Rias' peerage were all gathered in front of the big mahogany desk that was currently occupied by Azazel dressed in a worn suit and a sly smile on his ageless face. The faces of the others were a mix of confusion, neutral, or in Rias and Akeno's case, scowls, an expression Havarti hated seeing on the hybrid beauty. He also noticed Thor and his friends weren't among them, they must have returned to Asgard with Lady Freya.
"Hello everyone!"
"Havarti!" Boomed Vandill, "We were wondering if you'd show up. Say hello to our new advisor."
"Yes, Vandill, I heard all of it as I approached." The little man said as he joined the others, his position among them Rias noticed was next to Akeno, "So your gonna train us to grow stronger is that what I am hearing?"
Azazel nodded, "That's right. All of you have unique abilities but it's obvious that you all need to train to grow stronger. Your battle against the Khaos Brgiade and even before against Kokabiel shows you all need it. I'm sorry to say this but had Vali not intervened you all would have died."
"That is a debatable question." Rias retorted, "You forget, Thor was the one to defeat him and the Allfather himself came to our aid."
"After Vali divided Kokabiel, but maybe Odin could have arrived before Vali. The point is you all need the training to grow stronger. Tell me; how long can you each hold your Balance Breaker?" Azazel asked the boys in the room.
"An hour." Stated Kiba.
Issei shifted uncomfortably before muttering, "Only ten seconds even after sacrificing my arm…"
"Geez! I feel sorry for you both. You boys are definitely going to need some hard training. Vali can hold his for a month. Thankfully little Asia's Twilight Healing is overpowered so she is pretty solid though can always improve. All of you can always improve, especially you three ladies." The Fallen Angel's gaze swept over, Koneko, Rias, and Akeno, the Bishop and Queen exchanged glances with one another, "You each have incredible power and can increase said strength if you train and, in Koneko and Akeno's case, unlock their true powers."
"True powers?" Issei asked looking at Koneko in confusion, "He knew Akeno was part Fallen Angel but what did Koneko have to hide?"
"We can discuss that topic with Thor." Interjected Rias catching the look of discomfort on Koneko's face.
"Speaking of Thor, why did he and his friends go back to Asgard so soon?" The Dwarf asked.
Rias smiled, "Well, Havarti, you see…"
At the Druken Dragur in Asgard
"But Thor, you beat two, TWO, opponents in one day."
"Yes. Thank you for reminding me the billionth time today, Rose, but as I have said I don't want to keep braiding my hair everything I beat someone."
Sigrun sniggered behind her mug, after peace was made and farewells exchanged between friends, the Emerald Valkyrie had chosen to spend the next day in Asgard with Thor and Rossweisse by going out to the Drunken Draugr to celebrate their achievements. Of course, the first thing she discovered was her best friend and the prince arguing about braiding hair. The tradition of giving oneself braids after a victory had lost touch in the modern era yet some, like Rossweisse, still clung to it despite the granddaughter of Gondul never braiding her own hair of her own achievements.
"Yeah well how come I am the only one doing this tradition when no one else does? I see civilians with braided hair and they didn't defeat a God or Heavenly Dragon. Come to think of it… why aren't you doing this to yourself,"
"M-me?" Stammered Rossweisse, Sigrun nearly spitting her drink out from laughter at Thor saying what she was thinking.
"Yes, you. You've defeated so many foes in your life surely with all that hair you can make your own braids."
"I never truly defeated anyone seriously."
"Really? Rose you are a genius but your memory can't be fading already. What about all those foes we defeated as a team? You remember Stone Jotun twins Thamur and Hrimthur, who tried dismantling the wall during a winter solstice festival?"
"It was the fall that killed them. All I did was blast them off the wall."
"The Alchemist?" Added Thor.
"His own power destroyed him."
"The Kraken terrorizing Skjult Dal?"
"That was a monster."
Thor rolled his eyes, "Really Rossweisse, you are making excuses now. I don't want any more braids. It is YOU who should be braiding your own hair for the achievements you made even if they weren't official kills you still defeated these foes."
"And you did kill one Jotun remember? It was your first day as Odin's bodyguard."
Silver eyebrows rose at Sigrun's words, "Fala. She tried to assassinate Odin by seducing him and it nearly worked since he drank too much and was recovering from a headache. I blasted her out of existence leaving nothing left of her."
"Of course, that would happen." Groaned Thor.
Sigrun cleared her throat, "Anyway, we came here to celebrate not argue about traditions. Here's to our victories, peace, unity, and the friends we've made along the way!"
The Allfather's son and bodyguard exchanged looks, smiled, raised their cups, and chinked Sigrun's. The cool liquid felt refreshing after the summer sun beat down upon them when walking Asgard's streets. This particular drink Sigrun ordered had a great taste to it, the foam at the top was creamy, almost buttery.
"Sigrun, what was this drink again?"
"It's something Ullr tasted in the human world when visiting America for a ski competition. They call it butter beer, says it's from some movie about a wizard with a lightning bolt scar."
"And this drink was made into merchandise to make money? Humans can be so greedy." Rossweisse said.
Sigrun snorted, "Everyone has a sin within them. Be it pride, envy, greed, or lust. We all have a sin within us. I know what you're sin is Rose…"
"Don't you start," Rossweisse warned with a glare over the rim of her cup.
"Now, Sigrun, show some respect. Being envious of people being in relationships is normal." Said Thor sagely, "Plus, she just hasn't found the right man for her yet…"
But will I ever find the courage to tell her that man is sitting right in front of her?
"Thank you, Thor. At least he knows it's not nice to pick on people."
"Come on, Rose. I was only joking. Of course, you will be in a relationship someday. You can't expect it to happen like in one of your romance novels. Plus remember what happened to our fellow classmates during and after college? They tried to think like a romance novel and many of them ended up in bad relationships. Look at Kara, she went through so many boys and now is single and desperate for love."
Rossweisse's brow connected, "She always bullied me in college for not trying to find a boyfriend."
"I guess you could say Kara got her karma."
SPLASH!
Cold liquid, foam, and saliva covered Thor's face while blue eyes blinked behind the mess. Sigrun had just started taking a long drink before spitting it out with a laugh so loud everyone looked at her. It took the violet-haired woman some time to regain control over her laughter.
"If you wanted to give me a second round of butterbeer you didn't need to spit yours into my face."
"S-sorry." She said, stifling her laughter at last, "I didn't expect you of all people to make a joke like that."
Rossweisse shook her head, leaned over, napkin in hand, and began wiping away the mess on Thor's face making sure to not leave anything. With each wipe, her eyes flickered to look into his, blue meeting aqua for a brief moment. She had to admit the joke was funny and would have joined Sigrun's laugh if her best friend hadn't sent her drink flying into Thor.
"So," Said Thor once Rossweisse finished cleaning his face, "When will the feast begin and our friends arrive."
Rossweisse looked at the clock on the wall above the band, "In three hours. Before that, Ms. Gremory and her Peerage will arrive in an hour and a half. It seems even to give our new allies a tour of the kingdom."
"Speaking of guests…Odin wants me with him when he speaks to our other guest after the feast."
The Valkyries exchanged looks knowing who Thor was talking about, their other guest was sent to Asgard with Freya and Henrietta and from what Odin said was currently sitting in a prison still bound by the seals Rossweisse applied. The Monkey King and Vali's teammate, Bikou, had become a prisoner after the battle at the Kuoh Peace Summit, taken to the prisons of Asgard still bound by Rossweisse's seals. That woman's skills in sealing were incredible, sealing not only Monkey King but even the White Dragon Emperor even if it was for a few minutes.
"What do you think the Allfather will do to him?" Rossweisse asked.
"That will be decided when we witness it."
"We?"
"I want you there with me Rossweisse. You are the family bodyguard and helped defeat Bikou, who I need to remind you deserves a victory braid for you."
"And you need braids for your victories."
"No, Rose. Unless I have hair like yours I'd have tied it into one long braid. I don't need another braid."
"Talking of Bikou. What will you do now that Micheal has told you the truth?" Sigrun asked, lowering her tone so nobody else would hear her.
Thor lowered his mug and shrugged, "To be honest I don't know. Knowing I am the reincarnation of the Original Thor and trained at the Siegfried Institute is a big revelation I still need time to think about. When the time is right I will tell Asgard. The family agreed that it's my decision to make and support me on it."
"As do I." Said Rossweisse taking Thor's hand.
"Me too." Said Sigrun before her eyes lit up, "You know there is something you could have as a reward for your victory."
Occult Research Club
Issei adjusted his button shirt as the last of the Peerage trooped into the room, excitement filled the room. Yesterday Rias announced they would be going to a feast and tour of Asgard, home of the Aesir Gods of the Norse Pantheon, so he had to dress nicely for the occasion, nothing too fancy but nice enough to show he was being respectful. He didn't know much of Thor's people until Azazel, who said he couldn't join do to some personal stuff with Azrael, gave a brief explanation of who they were and that all the women, especially the Valkyries, were beautiful. That last part Issei already knew from his encounters with Sigrun and Rossweisse, even Miss Henrietta, despite having muscles, was hot. Imagines of Rias, Asia, Akeno, and all the women he knew clad in the skimpy Valkyrie armor serving him food and burying his face with their breasts flashed through his mind.
I'm definitely gonna ask to get that armor to have my harem wear.
"How are we getting to Asgard?" Kiba asked, his question shared by the others.
Smiling, Rias reached into her blouse pocket to withdraw a piece of paper with a Nordic Rune on it, "This was given to me by Rossweisse. It will grant us access to Asgard. Is everyone ready?"
"Yes, President." Affirmed Kiba.
"I'll be good to return to Asgard." Smiled Vandill
"I can't wait to see the home of the Aesir!" Shouted Havarti, Akeno laughing at his eagerness.
Laying it on the ground she poured magic into the rune causing it to glow red and the paper it was drawn on to slowly dissolve until only the rune remained. The rune began to grow in size until it surrounded the whole group and began to rotate as colors of the rainbow flickered around them slowly, the Bifrost was locking onto their location to take them to Asgard. As the teleportation started, Kiba caught sight of Akeno taking Havarti's hand; could she be anxious or concerned about losing him on the trip? Curiosity changed to awe as his vision was filled with a tunnel of colors, colors he realized all belonged to the rainbow.
So this is the Bifrost. It's beautiful. He thought looking around in awe at how majestic it was, the thought of asking Vandill what the Bifrost looked like always came to mind to the young Knight but he wanted to see it with his own eyes not have it explained by someone else. Eventually, he felt his feet touch solid ground and soon found himself walking into a hotel lobby where a tall handsome man in golden armor stood at a desk overlooking multiple computers. He looked up and smiled at the teenager.
"You must be Heimdall." Said Rias with a bow.
"Welcome to Asgard. Your hosts are waiting outside." The Guardian of the Bifrost greeted warmly as he gestured towards the door.
Exiting the Bifrost chamber they found themselves face to face with Odin at least they assumed it was Odin until they noticed this white-haired look-alike had shorter hair, no beard, two eyes, and violet robes that reached to the floor. Beside him was a very short man wearing an emerald green pinstripe suit with a bushy blonde beard with grey streaks tucked into a golden belt and deep brown eyes that held wisdom. The old men smiled at the confused Devils, neither they nor their Dwarf friend knew who they were but that would change very soon.
"Headmaster Vili. Professor Vestri. I was not expecting you to be our host."
Vili chuckled, "You are not just guests to Asgard, Mr. Aurvandillson, but guests of Valhalla as well. As it is my brother's duty to lead the kingdom it is my duty to lead the academy."
"Valhalla is an academy!?"
Vesteri laughed, "What's this? A Dwarf that does not know Valhalla became an academy for education? Where have you been living m'boy?"
"On Midgard, sir. I have lived on Midgard all my life."
Vesteri's laugh became a gentle smile, "Ah. You are a Midgard boy. Then as a Dwarf of Nidavillir allow me to welcome you to Asgard. Vesteri at your service."
"Havarti Birgerson, at your service."
"And these Devils must be your friends Thor has told us about."
"We most certainly are." Chirped the dark-haired beauty who bowed to the elder Dwarf with a graceful smile, "Akeno Himejima, at your service."
One by one each Devil introduced themselves bowing and saying "at your service" to Vesteri. Had Akeno not known Havarti or Vandill not be part of the Peerage then these young Devils would have greatly insulted the historian by not greeting him the correct way.
"Vili… I thought that name sounded familiar." Rias said after Koneko introduced herself, "You are the brother of Odin."
"I am indeed Miss Gremory. Yes, I am Vili, Odin's brother, and headmaster of Valhalla Academy. I hope your visit here will be pleasant."
"And I will make sure we all behave accordingly." Of course, she has faith in her servants to act properly…save one. If Issei made any perverted comments about the women here that could potentially cause an issue that she didn't want to happen.
"Then come. Allow us to give you a tour of Asgard. Will start by explaining the Bifrost…"
Everyone listened to Vesteri explain in great detail how Asgard came to be and the Bifrost being the road that connected all Nine Realms together. By the time they reached the wall, the historian was telling of how the Aesir and Vanir united in friendship and how Asgard itself advanced through the centuries into what it was now. When they passed the wall they saw a sprawling metropolis with thousands of people going about their business while greeting fellow citizens while cars rolled by on the streets. After taking in the view they were led to a limousine that drove them through the downtown district, which Vesteri talked about, then through the middle level until reaching a wide landscape leading up a hill to multiple buildings with a long hall behind it.
"Welcome to Valhalla." The headmaster announced as the limousine pulled up to the entrance.
"This is amazing. It's the same size as the Gremory mansion." Behind Rias Issei's eyes flickered from Valhalla to her.
She lives in a mansion!? Of course, she would. She is a princess.
They were led through the academy which mesmerized the children for the short time they were in the building out onto a large field full of many smaller buildings and, to Issei's delight, many Valkyries training, their body's glistening with sweat. His stares were met with amused laughter, seductive winks, and nasty glares which were shared by Koneko, the little Rook wanted to punch his face so much, even being a guest to another faction he still couldn't keep his lustful gaze off women, she always thought Kuroka was the worst being she ever knew now that title belongs to Issei Hyoudou. Moving past the training grounds they came upon Valhalla and standing before the large hall's wooden doors was Henrietta, her tank top and shorts couldn't stop Issei from staring at her amazing figure.
"Hello! Good afternoon! Feel ready for the feast?"
"Yes. It seems you have been busy preparing for our arrival."
Henrietta grinned and when she pushed the doors open, was greeted by shouts and cheers of joy and excitement, every table within the large hall was filled to the brim with food, and Einherjar devouring plates, the champion of Valhalla insisted they wait until their guests arrive before eating but the smell of the food couldn't be resisted. Scanning the crowd Henrietta pointed to the middle of the table where Thor sat finishing what looked to be his tenth turkey leg, the appetite of Thor Odinson was legendary in the Supernatural World and the Gremory Peerage now witnessed it first hand. On his left sat Sigrun who upon seeing the Devils stood up, mug raised high and sloshing liquid from it.
"Skal!"
"Skal!" Repeated the whole room.
"Our guests from the Underworld have arrived at last! Apologies for the early feasting but we have much to share. Come join us!"
The Devils complied and soon they were sitting opposite the prince of Asgard eating food so good Rias said it was better than what the Gremory chiefs could make to which Sigrun replied with another rousing "Skal!" which the Devils learned was the Norwegian word for cheers. They ate and shared small talks like how they were doing and what they taught at Kuoh and Valhalla, the only difference between the schools was Valhalla taught magic and combat and whoever is given a mission must leave to attend it and is given a month to finish whatever homework they didn't finish. When the subject was about the Valkyries Rossweisse explained the all-female warrior group was the elite fighting force of Vanaheim formed around Freya's original twelve bodyguards in the Aesir-Vanir war. Everyone was fascinated by the knowledge the silver-haired genius shared and she would have gone on if Issei didn't interrupt with a question.
"Where can I get that sexy armor?"
Rias wanted to pinch the bridge of her nose for her Pawn asking the question, she was certain he was fantasizing about her and Asia wearing the armor. He never will stop being a pervert even as a guest in another person's house. Before she could reprimand him Sigrun leaned forward with a sly grin on her face.
"You think the armor is sexy? Is it because you wanna wear it?"
Laughter rang through Valhalla as Issei's face turned red with embarrassment, he didn't expect to have his question answered with another question. He looked to Rias for help who shook her head with amusement, he got himself into this mess and now had to suffer the consequences. When the laughter died down the feast carried on with more casual talk while each emptied plate was replaced with a full one.
"That is a concept men of Midgard assumed we Valkyries do." The violet-haired beauty continued, "Yes, we are maidens, but not those who serve food and drink at Valhalla but instead guide the fallen to the hall, warriors who serve Lady Freya, fight for Asgard should it be attacked."
"So what is it like at Valhalla? I mean living in the hall?" Kiba asked Andreas.
The Einherjar shrugged, "To be honest; it's boring. You wake up, eat, attend the academy, then go back to Valhalla to sleep. The academy itself is fun to learn from. Their knowledge of magic is incredible and those who learn it, like Rossweisse, are very powerful."
Kiba nodded, "Ms. Rossweisse is quite the mage. The president said she is more skilled than herself and Akeno."
The Greek Einherjar grinned, "And you? You know how to wield a blade. Would you like to spar with me?"
Excitement flashed in Kiba's eyes, he didn't see much of Andreas in the battle but the glimpses he saw showed he had skill with a blade. How the Einherjar would fare against him was a question he would answer after the feast. Across the table, Rossweisse, Thor, Akeno, and Rias, were chatting excitedly about future events.
"Since Grigori has helped rebuild Asgard's fiance and the Dwarves rebuild your city what is their the Underworld can do to help?"
"Nothing of great importance." Said Rossweisse, cupping her chin, "However the Underworld and Asgard can educate one another about our societies. I myself wish to establish a Norse magic school in our ally's territory."
And Odin would probably want Fallen Angels and Devils as Valkyries just to see them wear our armor. A desire Lady Freya thankfully shot down. The Valkyrie added to herself.
"That's very similar to Sona's idea. Perhaps the two of you can take inspiration from Kuoh by having a school teach all types of magic. Oh! I know what we can do." Her blue eyes lit up with excitement, "If Ajuka can be persuaded it may be possible to allow Asgard to participate in Rating Games as well."
"Rating Games?" Asked Henrietta, if she had been in a conversation with Asia when hearing Rias.
"It's where two Peerages battle each other. Nobody dies in them but they are brutal."
"Really? Do tell more…"
Soon the redhead princess was in deep conversation explaining in great detail how they work, the different types of games, who the strongest Rating game players are, and evening sharing her very first unofficial rating game. She would have kept it at that had Akeno not added it was her way to break off an engagement to another Devil noble who Issei defeated in a duel after crashing the wedding and saying Rias' virginity was his. The reaction of such an announcement had mixed reactions, Sigrun giggled, Henrietta shook her head, and Thor buried his face into his hands.
"Mr. Hyoudou seems to only think about sex. The desire for it is understandable since many men wish to experience it. However, having that be a life goal does seem unusual." Said Henrietta
"I hope that changes when he becomes a man." Growled Thor.
"Would you prefer him to be like Vali?"
"I would prefer neither, Henrietta. I pity the Heavenly Dragons. One only wants to fight the other only wants to fuck."
"Speaking of Issei, wasn't there something you wanted to do with the Gremory Peerage?" Henrietta's question was met with curiosity by Rias and Akeno. When Thor didn't reply she continued, "Lady Gremory, you and your Peerage all fought bravely against Kokabiel and the Khaos Brigade. Bravery worthy of becoming an Einherjar. Today, here in Valhalla Thor wished to make oaths of friendship with you. "
"But we are friends," Akeno said with a smile.
Regaining his composure Thor replied to the Queen, "But that's not what I mean. In the Norse world, we make oaths to ensure promises are not broken and to strengthen relationships."
"Then let's do it." Said Rias standing from her seat.
"Each of you must make the oath. Not just you Rias." Understand she motioned her servants to follow her to Thor who now stood at the head of the hall holding a bowl in one hand and a handful of berries in the other. Thor explained they each take a berry, chew it, and spit it back into the bowl after they make their oaths, "Rias Gremory, from this day forth I, Thor Odinson, God of Thunder, Prince of Asgard, swear upon the Allfather I will always be there to help should you ask for it. Will you do the same?"
"I swear. And in the name of the Gremory family should you seek help I and my Peerage shall come to your aid."
Thor grinned, "Not a bad oath if I say so myself. I swear. Your next Akeno…"
One by one each Devil said their oath to the God of Thunder, even Issei managing to give a proper oath without mentioning anything perverted, probably for fear of Thor's wrath and another embarrassing moment like before. When the oaths were finished they chewed their berries and spat into the bowl after which Thor announced the oaths complete and Valhalla whooped and clapped with joy.
"Hey! What about me?" Thor looked and laughed, he forgot about Havarti, he met the young Dwarf a few weeks ago but the little man proved his worth as a warrior and friend. He had also not forgotten that Havarti made a deal with him in their first meeting and now they could discuss the deal.
"I take it that this oath is our deal?"
"Yes. It's your oath to me."
One red eyebrow raised at the Dwarf's words, the deal was Havarti's oath to Thor? What could it be?
"Thor Odinson," Started Havarti, "On this oath I make I ask you to take me, Havarti Birgerson, as a member of your team to help unite the Supernatural World in peace. Will you take this oath?"
Thor needed no words to answer the Dwarf's oath, to know he wanted to help him and also use it as a means to explore the other Factions would not be denied. Taking the berry he popped it into his mouth, chewed, and spat it back out. When the oath was done, Thor saw a familiar blue and gold hat moving among the Einherjar toward Akeno.
Oh no. Please don't act like a pervert here! Thor set the bowl down and rushed into the crowd pushing his way through until he was close enough to shout, "Allfather!"
The Einherjar parted and they're frozen in place with a hand outstretched to lift Akeno's mini skirt was the Odin, his lecherous look replaced with sheepish guilt. All eyes in Valhalla shifted between the father and son wondering what would happen next while Akeno's expression was one of amusement but Rias could see she was doing so to hide her embarrassment. They were rewarded when Odin's hand moved but Thor was a split second quicker, reaching the king of Asgard before he could take hold of the skirt, his wrinkly wrist caught in a firm but gentle grip.
"Da…have you no shame? We have guests."
Odin rolled his eye, "Oh come on if my bodyguard was wearing a skirt like that you'd wanna lift it up. Plus I bet she has a great-" Thor's hand was over the Allfather's mouth before he could finish his sentence and like Rossweisse, looked annoyed.
"Stop. No perverted antics from you old man. You really should keep your eye only on mom."
"Ara. Ara. So noble of you to save me from a perverted old man." Akeno teased, real amusement coming forth at the antics occurring in front of her, "I hope you don't become like him."
"I have no intention of being like my dad," Thor mumbled, refusing to let go of Odin's wrist.
"What? That shitty old geezer is your father!?"
No sooner had those words left Issei's mouth than the temperature dropped drastically with static being felt on the hairs of everyone near the God of Thunder. Some Einherjar stepped away in fear, others sent a silent prayer to the Red Dragon Emperor and Andreas slipped beneath his table knowing what would happen next. Using his other hand Thor grabbed a bowl of food and threw it at Issei who managed to dodge the flying object and instead slammed into Vandill's face.
"Thor!" Rasped Rossweisse
"Issei, apologize!" Ordered Rias.
"Ara. Ara." Giggled Akeno.
"Vandill, are you okay!?" Asked Henrietta.
The Jotun did not answer as he wiped the food off his face, instead, he stared at the young Aesir as a grin slowly spread across his lips and, just as quick as Thor, grabbed his own food and threw it at Issei who was too slow this time. Before Rias could scold him she felt herself suddenly swept off her feet by Rossweisse who had taken to the air just as Thor tackled Akeno to the floor as Vandill aimed another bowl of food at her. Redirecting his trajectory he threw it at Einherjar across the hall as he shouted words so loud it sounded like thunder.
"FOOD FIGHT!"
Immediately every Einherjar all around the hall began to throw food at one another with the Gremory Peerage being dragged into the chaos too; poor Kiba had no time to react getting his face driven into his bowl of mashed potatoes while Gasper went running through the hall screaming his head off as garlic was tossed towards him by Koneko. As Thor urged Akeno to get beneath the same table Andreas took shelter at, Havarti let loose a battle cry as he used the God of Thunder as a springboard to slam the pie he had in hand into Asia's surprised face.
Later
A whole hour had passed during the fight in Valhalla leaving the mighty hall covered in food and Einherjar sprawled on the floor and tables. Nearly everyone had been hit by food save for Rossweisse, Rias, Akeno, Andreas, and Odin, the ladies flew into the rafters while the Einherjar protected the Priestess with his Greek shield and the Allfather used magic to protect himself. When it was over Thor commanded everyone who partook in the fight to clean the hall without magic, when Thor marched out of the hall to clear his head of the anger and embarrassment flowing through his head. After wandering through the city he ran into Herja explaining everything that occurred at Valhalla from the Devil's arrival to the food fight.
"This was not how I wanted the feast to go…" Said Thor with a sulking expression.
"Well, that food fight wouldn't have happened had you kept your temper under control." The volleyball player retorted.
"Issei called Odin a shitty old geezer! I admit he is a pervert but I won't let anyone insult him. First Vali attacked my mother and now this. If that idiot Issei had kept his mouth shut a food fight never would have occurred."
"And if Odin hadn't attempted to lift the Devil's skirt he wouldn't have said such things. Pointing fingers won't fix the problem, Lord Thor. What's done is done."
"I know but…"
"But nothing. Let it go and move forward." Just as she finished speaking a magic circle appeared next to Thor like an earpiece and the Allfather's voice spoke from it.
"Son, I'm at the prison waiting for you."
"Prison?" Herja asked as the magic seal vanished.
"Odin wants me with him to see our recent prison. Bikou."
"In that case, go. You are the one who defeated him and deserve to have a say in whatever judgment Odin gives."
Thor said goodbye to the Valkyrie and flew to the Palace where the prisoners were kept, he had no issue flying through the city now that he had finally gotten the hang of the magic. Flying wasn't the only thing he was getting used to, citizens and warriors alike greeted him whenever they saw him which was due to Odin announcing yesterday his victory against Vali and Bikou causing his fame and popularity to skyrocket. Even now citizens and warriors alike waved to the prince which he returned in kind.
"Ah, there's my boy!" Exclaimed Odin when Thor reached the palace taking note of Rossweisse's absence, "I was beginning to wonder if you ever arrived."
"Sorry. Was venting my frustration to Herja."
"Oh? I'd have thought you only have eyes for my bodyguard?"
"Where is Rose?" Thor asked, ignoring the tease.
"She is providing a tour of Valhalla with Vili to the Gremory heiress."
"Then lead on." Said Thor following the Allfather into the palace.
The father and son walked in silence for a while before Odin broke it, "I hear you witnessed the Red Dragon Emperor's dress break technique. Is it true it can strip a woman bare of anything they were?"
"I don't know who's worse, you, Azazel, or Issei." Grumbled the God of Thunder.
"Oh come now, you can take a little teasing from your old man. Lighten up a little and let some of those perverted thoughts fill your mind. Surely my own son has lewd dreams of my bodyguard."
"...Da…please…"
"Dreaming about that perfectly shaped ass coming down on your face and-" The rest of the Allfather's words were cut off by Thor bopping him on the head, his expression a mixture of annoyance and embarrassment. Despite that, the king of the Aesir laughed, "Oh I can see just by your face you do have those very thoughts."
Why does the cunning God of Knowledge have to be a pervert? Sighed Thor before reaching a large metal door with runes on it, seeing Odin looking at him he nodded. Odin tapped on the door with his hand, the rune vanished and the Allfather stepped inside followed by the God of Thunder. The cell was dark, lit by a faint blue glow from a dim light above, and in the middle of the room, still bound by seals, was Bikou, limbs spread apart and bound with seals on his wrists and ankles. The only movement the Monkey King could make was the expressions on his face, starting from boredom to bemusement at who his guests were.
"Well, well, this is a surprise indeed. The Allfather himself has come to pay me a visit along with his son who kicked my ass. I gotta admit that was a good fight you gave me but if that Valkyrie friend of yours hadn't stopped me I'd have won fair and square."
"No doubt you could. I'm sure you could imagine my pride for my son's victory over you and that White Dragon Emperor punk you call a boss. Defeating two powerful foes in one day is quite an impressive feat but we did not come here to share victories. We have come to decide your fate."
Amber eyes rolled in their socket, "So what's the punishment? Am I going to be stuck in here forever or give me a quick death or a slow agonizing death? I heard that the blood eagle is the worst death anyone can suffer."
Thor exchanged looks with Odin, nodded once, and stepped forward, "Death was a choice but that came from my dear blood-uncle, Loki and even if we sentenced it to you it would what good would come of it? A new Monkey King would arise to take your title. So the Allfather has decided…. to release you as our guest."
Brown eyebrows shot up in surprise, of all the fates Bikou expected being released was not one of them, "So…are you gonna send me back to the old man?"
Odin chuckled, "Oh I certainly was considering it. I even reached out to Sun Wukong to ask what should be done with you and he didn't care one bit. At least that's the way he put it but I know deep down in that laid-back heart of his he loves you. And even if we did give you back to the First Monkey King he'd have cut you loose and you'd go right back to your friends. No, we have decided that we will release you but under certain conditions. First, you will give us all the information you know about your allies, their names, origin, skill, and power. Yes, Azazel has already done so but you were within that boy's team so you were closer to him and must know things Azazel doesn't. Second, you will be allowed free reign to go anywhere in Asgard so long as your guard is with you."
Bikou was silent for a good while before saying, "Freedom…for information?"
"A fair trade wouldn't you agree? Oh and no you cannot escape from Asgard. The Bifrost is the only way in and out of the kingdom and you will be watched twenty-four-seven by my guards and me through my ravens when your personal guard isn't around." Said Odin tapping his monocle with a mischievous grin.
Bikou grinned, "Sounds to me this is the only choice I got aside from sitting in here waiting for whenever Vali comes to get me."
"Which will most likely be never. That boy is powerful but even he cannot face the full might of Asgard. He's not the only one with powers to slay a God."
Thor felt a shiver run down his spine, he knew exactly who Odin was talking about and the redhead was certain that even Vali was no match for Loki's strongest son. He eyed Bikou closely as the boy silently weighed the pros and cons of what the consequences would be for his choice. During their battle, Thor knew the Monkey King was loyal to Vali and would never betray him but this would be Asgard's chance to get information about the Khaos Brigade.
"What about a compromise?" His thought was asked aloud, making Bikou and Odin turn to him.
"A compromise?" Repeated Odin, his brow over his missing eye raised slightly.
"Bikou is loyal to Vali and I can respect but that means he won't say anything about him or his team. I say we ask only for information regarding what he knows about the Khaos Brigade."
Bikou laughed, "Only information about the Khaos Brigade? Well if that gets me to sleep in a real bed instead of a pile of rocks and eat good food surrounded by beautiful women then I gotta say yes."
"Before you get your freedom you must ensure this deal is made as an oath on Gungnir." Said Odin tapping his cane to change it into the mighty spear Gungnir, he knew his son's idea was the only way to get Bikou's aid. Besides he could always ask Azazel for what he knew about the White Dragon Emperor and his allies.
Bikou grinned, "Ain't oaths made on that spear unbreakable? You're not taking any chances with me are ya?"
"Trust goes both ways, boy. You earned Vali's trust and respect for your skill. In time you will be given more leniency. Possibly even be pardoned for working with the Khaos Brigade if you earn our trust."
Bikou scoffed, "Vali told everyone his ties with the Khaos Brigade are broken. They were only needed for information."
"But you still worked with them and he attacked my wife." The slightest hint of a growl slipped out of Odin's voice.
If Bikou could raise his hands in defense he would, "Hey I'm on your side regarding that subject. Attacking a woman, especially one as hit as your wife, is a low blow in my book. I'd only hit a woman she attacks first."
Ignoring the comment about his wife Odin continued, "When I release your hand, take hold of Gungnir and accept your oath." He tapped the spear once and Bikou's left wrist was released to let him grab the weapon, "Monkey King Bikou, do you swear on the Spear of the Allfather to give information regarding the Khaos Brigade in exchange for freedom within Asgard?"
"As this generation's Monkey King, I solemnly swear." White runes appeared along the spear giving off a faint glow before disappearing. Odin tapped the spear again and Bikou was released from his seals, now free he began stretching his body while saying, "Man being stuck in that position for two days sure can give you aches and pains."
"No doubt that would. Come, let us show you your room." Said Odin leading the boys out of the cell.
Valhalla
"That looks much better!" Henrietta announced with satisfaction. It was hard grueling work but after an hour of hard labor, the home of the Einherjar was finished with not a crumb left inside Valhalla from the fight.
"Indeed. I hope my servants did their best with the cleanup." Added Rias, her tour of Valhalla academy finished.
"They all did. Even Andreas and Akeno partook." The blonde beauty leaned forward and whispered to the redhead, "I overheard Issei asking Andreas if he saw Koneko's true power when she rescued him."
Rias' face fell, "Ahh. I told Issei we would discuss that topic with Thor. What did Andreas say?"
"He told Issei to leave it be. I was there when she used her power to save Andreas. I know she's a Nekoshou; like Kuroka who she said was her sister. I take it only you know of this?"
"It's common knowledge among the Gremory family regarding my Queen and Rook's heritage."
"And yet neither Issei nor Asia knows of Koneko's history?"
Rias sighed, "Neither of them has properly visited the Underworld. Also, it was not my place to share that knowledge. After Akeno, however, I have changed my mind and will share it."
"I'm certain Koneko will find the courage to do so herself someday. Give her time."
"I have given all my servants time Ms. Berg and I did nothing to help them. If I'm to be a good king then I must help them."
Henrietta nodded as satisfaction twinkled in her eyes, perhaps she misjudged Rias back in the clubroom during battle. Understanding Koneko and Akeno needed help overcoming their past trauma was the quality of a good king. Now Rias just had to show she meant it. Speaking of her servants…
"Kiba, come over here!" She called to her fellow blonde who was having a debate with Andreas and Vandill if a sword, spear, or hammer was better. Perplexed by the P.E teacher asking for him he approached his fellow blonde, "I wanted to share something with you and Ms. Gremory-"
"Call me Rias."
"Rias. Lord Thor says he recognizes Kiba but never met him before going to Kuoh."
That caused the King and Knight to exchange looks at the Einherjar's words; Thor met someone who had Kiba's face. Kiba was a handsome man but who was it the God of Thunder met that looked similar to her Knight? Could it have been a warrior of Asgard or an Exorcist in the Siegfried Institute? They were answered when she motioned an Einherjar over, an Einherjar who Kiba realized had watched him ever since he stepped into Valhalla. The warrior was tall with a head of short combed blonde hair and a full beard neatly trimmed with a Norse tattoo on the side of his body going from his abdomen up over his shoulder, while he didn't have the mole his eyes were the same color.
"Isaiah, is that really you?"
Kiba flinched, Isaiah was the name he had before becoming a Devil. His real name was rarely known so how could this random Einherjar know his name?
"Who are you?" The Knight asked cautiously.
The Einherjar smiled sadly as he continued to study Kiba, "Of course, you wouldn't know me you never would have as a human. Heh, you have the mole in the same spot as your mother."
This sent off alarm bells in Kiba's mind, the same mole as his mother… was this man…no…that could be!? "Who are you?"
"I thought you knew the answer already? But where are my manners," He chuckled before bowing and saying, "I am Ulric Jorgensen, Einherjar of Valhalla…and also your father."
Quite a day for Kiba; first his face buried in mashed potatoes and now learning he is part Norwegian from his father! What are your thoughts on this chapter my friends!? Let me hear your feedback! The visit to Asgard continues in The Father, The King, and the Prince
