Washington Platform: Jayden vs Ben
"Oh come on! Duel me!!" Jayden prodded.
"Yeah, alright. I got it, we can duel. You don't have to yell in my ear about it." Ben said.
The two boys walked over to the duel training fields as soon as they stepped into the commons.
"We haven't even had breakfast yet." Ben muttered.
"Alright let's do this!" Jayden shouted. He activated his duel disk and set the deck inside, Ben following suit.
"Duel!!" They said together.
"I'm going first! I draw!" Jayden stated.
"Of course, you're always being impatient." Ben said.
"I normal summon Performapal Skullcrobat Joker in attack mode!" Jayden said.
A jester-like monster with purple striped pants and top hat with an over exaggerated black coat formed on his field.
"His effect lets me search my deck for an Odd-Eyes, Magician, or a Performapal. I choose to gain Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon. Next I set the pendulum scale with scale 2 Oafdragon Magician and scale 8 Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon."
Two monsters, one a man wearing green and white with blonde hair, floated up with a 2 beneath him. The other, a grey dragon with blue and purple crystals along its back, with heterochromic eyes, one red, one green, floated up with an 8 beneath it.
"Now I can summon monsters between levels three through seven all at the same time! I pendulum summon Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Xiangke Magician in attack mode!"
A pendulum crystal appeared, then swung back and forth until it filled the sky with dozens of arcs, then it made a portal at the center. Two different colored flares shot down from the portal, a crimson red dragon with white horns and heterochromic eyes, and a man in forest green and white cloth with a purple cape formed from the light.
"Now I set one card facedown and end my turn!" Jayden said.
"Alright, I guess I'll have a go. I draw. Hm? I summon ZW Sleipnir Mail in attack mode." Ben said.
A deer like monster that had a black body with red and white armor, formed from the card.
"Next I activate XYZ Reception, now I can special summon a monster from my hand that is the same level as the monster on my field, as long as it loses its effect and all its points. I special summon Gogogo Aristera Dexia in defense mode."
Two rock formations that looked like arms and hands shot out from the ground.
"Next I sacrifice Aristera Dexia to special summon Gogogo Golem-Golden Form in defense mode."
The arms glowed as they reformed and turned into a stone golem with golden armor covering it.
"I set two cards facedown, now using my two level four monsters, I build the overlay network to xyz summon Number 39: Utopia in attack mode."
A galaxy appeared on the ground as the two monsters became light and was sucked into the stars below, then a torrent of light and energy shot out from it. A warrior with white and gold armor with white armored wings and a huge sword formed from the radiant display. Two shimmering lights slowly swirling around him.
"And then I activate my facedown trap card, Dimension Slice. I can activate this card if I summon an xyz monster on the same turn I set it." Ben continued.
"What!?" Jayden asked.
"Now I can banish one of your cards on the field. Goodbye Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon."
A portal to a different dimension opened up underneath Odd-Eyes and it was swallowed into oblivion.
"Ah man!" Jayden said.
"Now battle. Utopia attack his Skullcrobat Joker." Ben commanded.
Utopia flew across the field and slashed Joker in half with a resulting explosion, destroying the monster and dealing Jayden 700 in damage. 7300lp
"Gah!" Jayden recoiled a bit from the shock, but recovered quickly. "Whenever my pendulum monsters are destroyed while on the field, they go to my extra deck!" Jayden stated.
"Now I end my turn." Ben finished.
"I draw. I activate Performapal Dramatic Theater, now all my monsters gain 200 extra attack for each different type monster on my field. Then I pendulum summon Joker from my extra deck."
The pendulum arc and portal formed again almost instantly above the field. A light shot down from the portal and Joker formed from the light.
"And knowing what your Utopia can do, I'll forego an attack, and instead I'll sacrifice both of my pendulum monsters to link summon Heavymetalfoes Electrumite in attack mode!"
A circuit board formed in mid air with eight arrows surrounding it, one at each corner and edge, the two monsters became light and struck the bottom two corners and then the whole board lit up. A feminine monster with white armor, two blasters, mechanical wings, and a huge ring with several hovering turbine engines flew out and landed on the field.
"By summoning her, I can send one pendulum monster from my deck to the extra deck, I choose Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon. Now I can destroy one card I control to add one pendulum monster from my extra deck to my hand, Oafdragon will do!"
The link monster raised her blaster to Oafdragon and blasted it off the field.
Jayden retrieved his card from the extra deck. "And since I'm destroying a card in my pendulum zone, I'm allowed to draw one new card!" Jayden said.
"Man, what are you planning now?" Ben asked.
"Now I normal summon Performapal Trampolynx in attack mode!"
A purple cat in a top hat with a trampoline for a body formed on the field.
"Now I can return one pendulum card in a pendulum zone to the owner's hand. So I choose my Odd-Eyes."
Odd-Eyes Arc fell and bounced off the cats back and into Jaydens' hand. "Now I end my turn!" Jayden said.
"Finally. I draw. I set one card facedown. Now battle. Utopia attack his Electrumite."
Utopia flew across the field and slashed Electrumite in half destroying the monster and dealing Jayden 300 in damage. 7000lp
"I end my turn." Ben said.
"I draw. Now I reset the pendulum scales with scale 1 Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon, and scale 8 Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon!"
A red dragon with armor plating and heterochromic eyes floated up with a 1 beneath it along with the grey dragon and a 8 beneath it.
"Now I can summon monsters between levels two and seven all at the same time! I pendulum summon from my extra deck, Skullcrobat Joker, Oafdragon, and Xiangke Magicians in attack mode!"
The arcs and portal reformed on the field again, three different colored lights shot down from the portal and three monsters formed from the light.
"Now I activate the spell Pendulum Fusion, I fuse Trampolynx and Xiangke to fusion summon Performapal Gatlinghoul in attack mode!" Jayden said.
A pendulum swung back and forth until it filled the sky with several streaks of red and blue arcs. They swirled around connecting in the middle forming a colorful portal, then the two monsters turned into flares and shot up into the vortex of color, moments later, a huge flash of light and energy shot down. A huge ghoul wearing a coat, tie and top hat, carrying a gatling gun slowly emerged from the light.
"Now Gatlinghoul automatically deals you 200 damage for each card on the field, and I count ten!" Jayden stated.
The ghoul raised its weapon and discharged a barrage of weapons fire at Ben dealing 2000 in effect damage. 6000lp
"Now I activate Gatlinghoul's ability, since it was fusion summoned using a pendulum monster, I can destroy one of your monsters on the field and then you take damage equal to its original attack points!" Jayden stated.
The ghoul leveled the gatling gun at Utopia preparing to fire.
"Not so fast, I counter with Xyz Block. I can detach one overlay unit from an xyz monster, then this grants one xyz monster the temporary power to negate your monster's effect activation and then destroy it." Ben countered.
One of the overlay units around Utopia sunk into the center of Utopia's chest, then the wings circled in front of him and took the barrage of shots, then Utopia lunged forwards and slashed the Ghoul in half, destroying him.
"Aw man! Fine! Battle! Oafdragon attack his Utopia, and thanks to my field spell, he has an equal attack as your Utopia!" Jayden commanded.
Oafdragon raised a dark scepter and charged a magical shot aiming it at Utopia, then fired.
"I activate Utopia's ability, removing the last overlay unit to negate your monster's attack." Ben countered.
The last shimmering light flew into Utopia's chest and the wings circled around him again blocking the attack.
"Now your monster has no overlay units, so if it happens to battle once more, it will be destroyed by its own effect! Skullcrobat Joker attack!" Jayden commanded.
"I activate my trap, Wonder Xyz, I can take monsters I control and use them for an xyz summon. Now I use Utopia to build the overlay network, to Xyz summon Number 39: Utopia Ray in attack mode." Ben
The galaxy appeared below Utopia, swallowing him up, then a light shot up revealing a new monster with grey metal armor, and extra large black wings, wielding two swords.
"Tch! I end my turn!" Jayden said.
"I draw. I summon Gogogo Giant in attack mode."
A polished sandstone and granite golem giant formed on the field.
"His effect allows me to special summon another Gogogo monster from my graveyard. I chose Aristera Dexia. Now I use both Gogogo monsters to build the overlay network, I xyz summon Gagaga Cowboy in attack mode."
The galaxy appeared again, the two monsters disappearing in its infinite void, then a torrent of light and energy shot out from below and a dual gun wielding cowboy with a brown cloak and hat formed from the light.
"Now I use Cowboy's effect, by removing one overlay unit I can grant my monster 1000 more attack points during the damage step. Now battle. Gagaga Cowboy attack his Oafdragon." Ben commanded.
"I activate a trap! Punch-In-The-Box, because you have two monsters, and one of them attacks, I can negate that attack and then send your other monster to the graveyard and reduce the first monster's attack by the second. That means your monster has 0 attack points now!" Jayden stated.
A jack-in-the-box appeared and a boxing glove shot out and knocked Utopia Ray off the field, then grabbed Gagaga Cowboy, dropping his attack to 0.
"Hm. Not bad. Alright I end my turn. Does my monster regain its attack?" Ben asked.
"Nope! My turn! I draw! I activate the card Duelist Alliance, now I can gain a card with 'Pendulum' in its card name from my deck to my hand. I choose Pendulum Call, and now I activate it. By discarding a card, I can gain two Magician pendulum monsters from my deck. I choose Dragoncaller and Xiangsheng Magicians. Now I pendulum summon the two magicians in my hand and Xiangke from my extra deck."
A pendulum swung back and forth until it filled the sky with several arcs, then swinging so fast in a circle it made a portal. Three colored lights shot down, the green magician, a man with blue armor covered in dragon scales and teeth, wielding a scepter made of dragon bone, then a woman wearing a pink dress and red ribbons, wielding a bow and arrow formed on the field.
"Now I build the overlay network,
using level seven Xiangke and Dragoncaller for one xyz summon, and level four Skullcrobat and Xiangsheng for another, to double xyz summon! Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon and my Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon in attack mode!" Jayden said.
A larger galaxy appeared on the ground as the four monsters became light and were sucked in amongst the star field below, then two torrents of light and energy shot out from below. Two dragons formed out from the lights. One was black, smooth scaled, and oddly shaped wings. The other wore light blue ice armor, and had four ice spikes jutting from its back in different directions.
"Oh, well guess I lose this time, huh?" Ben
"Yep! Now battle! Absolute attack his Cowboy! Then Rebellion and Oafdragon attack him directly to end this duel!"
All the monsters flew forward, clearing Ben's field, then dealing 8600 in damage ending the game. 0lp
"Aahhh!" Ben was knocked back several feet before skidding across the ground to a stop.
They were walking away from the training field, Jayden was so excited he couldn't keep his cool.
"Oh yeah!! That was so much fun!! Don't you think so Ben!!?" Jayden shouted.
Rolling his eyes, he just can't believe he's this guy's friend. "Okay, yeah, fun." Rubbing his arm. "Can we go get some food now?" Ben asked.
"Oh yeah, I'm starving! How about we try for some spaghetti and pizza!?" Jayden asked.
"Is that all you think about? Pizza and spaghetti? I'm in the mood for beef." Ben stated.
"Ugh, fine! You eat beef, and I'll eat pizza!" Jayden countered.
They walked towards the commons area, when Jayden draped his arm over Ben's shoulder.
"Hey! When are you going to get a girlfriend!?" Jayden asked loudly.
Ben stumbled a bit and blushed red, they had just walked past some of the female duelists and they had giggled profusely at the comment.
"Dude!" Ben clamped his hand over Jayden's mouth. "I told you I'm not interested in dating right now!"
"Mm mmm mm m mmmMm mmMm mm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mm mmm mm mm mm mm." Jayden muffled out.
"What?" Ben asked, removing his hand from Jayden's mouth.
"I said, you should get a girlfriend because we don't know how much longer we have left to have sex!" Jayden blurted loudly.
Now more eyes turned in their direction and Ben was thoroughly red from ear to ear.
"Jayden!!!" Ben shouted.
"Hey!!" The Deck Sergeant and Duel Drill instructor Hudson yelled from across the room. "Get your butts over here right now!! Double time!! Move it! Move it! Move it!"
They half jogged and half ran to reach her quickly and not run over anyone else to get there. Standing at attention when they got in front of her.
"What the hell do you two recruits think you're doing!? Talk like that is forbidden onboard this vessel!! I want the latrine cleaned out double time!!" Sergeant Hudson ordered.
"Uh, ma'am, we haven't had breakfast ye.." Ben began but was cut off sharply.
"DID I SAY AFTER YOU EAT RECRUIT OR DID I SAY I WANT THE LATRINES CLEANED!? NOW!!" Hudson yelled.
Both of them ran the opposite direction towards their barracks to begin the cleaning as ordered. There was some snickering behind them as they left the commons.
"WHAT'RE YOU ALL LAUGHING AT!?" She turned to address the rest of the room, which immediately went silent. "That's what I thought. After meal you're all doing laps on the training course ladies. You have 15 mikes to be there and be ready!!" She ordered.
There was a collective "aw man" from everyone in the commons. Then she turned her back to the room with her food and walked away grinning.
