Monster World:
The Oceanica was moved into place just above the surface of the duel monsters world. A few small temporary forts were constructed with the defense of that ship, their primary function. Three of the cruisers were set to patrol above it in the sky and three more were set in geosynchronous orbit above that same location. The rest of the fleet, platforms, carriers and cruisers were set in stationary orbit above this world. The machine, which would be used to clear the Earth's surface and then subsequently carry the goo far from the planet, is being built by combining human and duel monster technologies. Parts are being taken from several of the Earth's larger ships, greatly reducing the number of craft we had. Since it will have to be more than twice to three times the diameter of the Oceanica. Its function, to house a miniature black hole device at its center, then with a few dozen skyscraper sized hoses to drop to the planet's surface. It will quite literally be a planet sized vacuum cleaner. The blackhole device was checked and tested in the first month, it was quite powerful, but it would be doubled or tripled in strength on the day it is fully brought online. Construction will take a few months to complete, everyone that was not working on the device, was on the surface of the monster world and waiting until the time of the battle. Once everything was on the surface that wasn't needed for the construction of the device, Dark Magician Girl motioned for the remaining sleepers to be awakened to enjoy this world's pleasures to its fullest.
"It wouldn't be right if these people went to sleep on your world or your ships, only to awaken to a barren home again. Here they can stretch their limbs and help prepare for the battle ahead." She said.
So the remaining populace was awakened over the next few weeks. They were amazed at the world they had woken to. Clean air, and trees, fields of grass and farms with rows of food for miles, ready to be picked. However, all the abundance that this world had to offer, would have to wait, now it was time to prepare for battle. Training was encouraged, mental, physical, and dueling. The many clans of this world would test the humans for weaknesses and try to help them overcome them. The duel monsters themselves were mostly friendly towards the numerous visitors to their world. However, none could remember when so many humans had ever been on this world at one time. A few humans tried their damnedest to become real friendly with some of the locals. Some for the monster's stats, others for their looks. Dark Magician Girl told the leaders of the human populace that, in the past, there were the occasional human monster relationships. And that it is possible for hybrid offspring between a human and a monster to happen, but the child, though part monster, will live for a couple centuries, by human standards, but are normally shunned by many of the monsters as a half breed.
"There have been very few exceptions to this, but it normally comes at a great cost to the hybrid to be recognized." She said. "Normally by its own death." She went on to discuss how there are no hybrid offspring alive today. "We have discovered over time that hybrids are unable to bear any offspring of their own. It is a phenomenon even we're unable to discover." She explained. "We made a rule, after some dozens of our kind bore and then buried their own loved ones time and time again. No monster should breed with any human unless they are willing to deal with the facts that their lives will be filled with unimaginable sadness in only a few hundred years. With the human parent always to perish first, because of the limited human lifespan, then the monster parent must bury their own child alone, out living them both for millennia to come." She continued. "There are currently no living hybrids alive today."
Dual Worlds Council:
The Human Monster Council took some time to discuss this information and agreed to tell their people to keep their clothes on. "There is a question that this raises." Commander Anastasia said. "Where are the bodies of the deceased humans and human hybrids?"
"They are buried." Dark Magician Girl said. "It is a common practice, even among my kind, that the ones that have passed on before us are to be buried in the graveyard."
"So they are buried here in this world instead of being sent back to the human world and buried with their own kind?" Anastasia questioned in an accusatory manner.
"They are buried where they wished to be buried and they are buried with the ones they loved." Dark Magician Girl stated calmly.
"So you admit to keeping them from their loved ones on Earth from ever expressing their final goodbyes!?" She shouted accusingly.
"That's quite enough of that!!" General Marcellus ordered. "We are not here to start a fight with the only beings capable of helping us to free our world from the blight that currently afflicts it!"
Commander Anastasia crossed her arms and sat back in her chair. Marcellus stared at her for a moment longer before addressing everyone at the council.
"I will make this clear right now! What happened in the past, and may apparently be hundreds of years ago, has absolutely nothing to do with our current fight!" He said. "We will not pick some pathetic excuse of a reason for a personal vendetta to fight with our own allies! We are here to try to fix the Earth! No less, no more!!"
Murmurs around the tables sounded off in agreement except for a few that didn't like the fact that humans were working with freaks to clean up what humans should be able to do alone.
"I don't like it." Anastasia said under her breath.
Ambassador Zhang agreed with her, but they were a minority on the subject.
"We will make them pay for their insolence later! We know they can be found and we know we can destroy them!" They whispered to one another.
"Yes comrade, they will pay with their lives for this insult!"
High above the council location, sat several monsters overlooking the area to make sure the council was undisturbed by anyone. Their eyes and ears were amongst the sharpest and keenest of all the monsters. They heard everything that was spoken in the council meeting, even if it was whispered. Some of these humans were planning on betraying the monster world sooner or later, and the monsters will be ready.
Later that evening:
"Those stinking humans think they can pull a fast one on us." Brron, Mad King of Darkworld said.
"I know! We'll find a way to make them pay for it!" One of the heads on Twin-Headed Beast declared. "Do we even want them back onto their own world?" The other one asked.
"No! We will use them and their technology to get rid of the darkness on their world, then we'll get rid of them the same way." Brron said.
"How would we do it though? The others are watching their precious ocean vessel pretty close. And we can't get to their spaceships without making a scene." Vorse Raider noted.
"We will use the device that's being created to attack them with. It's supposed to be a black hole generator. So, once it's done its job of cleaning up the darkness, we'll be there to turn it on the humans!" Brron declared.
"You mean to space them! I like this idea!" Snipe Hunter said.
"We will wait until all the work is done. For now just do what you're told by Dark Magician Girl." Brron ordered.
"Understood." Vorse Raider agreed. "Those stinking humans, and those dirty half-breeds they infected this world with!"
"Don't lose your temper just yet. We'll make them pay for that, the darkness, and everything they've ever done to this world!" Brron promised. "I'll signal again when everything's ready."
They parted ways, Vorse was responsible for keeping fiends to stay away from the humans. Twin-Headed Beast was supposed to be sniffing out anything that could be harmful to the humans. They both did their jobs as they were instructed, no harm would befall the humans while in the Monster World. But once their planet was cleansed, they really didn't have to be there for that world to flourish. So they won't stay here. As decreed by the Underworld Alliances!
Unfortunately for them, there was another that was aware of all that was happening, and it was not one to sit back and just let anything pass it by unchecked. It growled in anger for the treachery both sides were planning, it needed to figure out just what it was going to be done about it. Spreading its wings wide, it took flight and soared through the night air. It would confer with some of its brethren to decide if they need to inform her Majesty, Dark Magician Girl, and the humans or just take care of it themselves.
