/ Ch 29: Steve's Revenge Duel!!

Human Encampment: Steve vs Akiza/Shelly
Akiza regained her strength in record time, and then she and Shelly went about the encampment searching for anything out of the current ordinary. People were asleep or looked near death everywhere they went. Pretty much every corner of the encampment was searched, only two locations remained that were human-specific, and very few monsters ever go, the medic center and the Oceanica.
"Aki, ya' go to the Oceanica, that place has more security than anywhere else on this encampment, so it should be perfectly safe. I'll check the medic center." Shelly suggested.
"Okay, I promise I'll be careful," Akiza assured.
"Good," Shelly said.
Both women moved off in separate directions, Shelly couldn't help but worry about her dear sister's well-being.
"Please be careful." She whispered then went to her destination.
Akiza made her way to the outer wall of the Oceanicas protective barrier and looked around for who was supposed to be in charge of allowing anyone in or out, no one was around, and the magical barrier was gone.
"This isn't right," Akiza noted to herself, then took a tentative step forward.
She made her way to the entrance of the transport, it was cracked open a bit. She could swear she felt a chill coming from it, touching her very being to the core.
"I should go get Shel.." she started to say to herself while turning around, but someone was standing right behind her. She felt a thunk to the neck and her world went black as she fell unconscious.
Sometime later, she woke to cold steel flooring and a pounding ache in her neck. Rubbing it, she stood up.
"Welcome back to the land of the living Akiza III." A male voice said from the dark.
"Who's there!?" She asked a pair of yellow eyes glowing in the dark.
"Oh, you should know who I am." He said an eerie purple glow illuminated where he was.
It took a moment for Akiza to fully recognize the man that hated women, or women's free will. "Bensen!"
"Very good. Now, what would a petite little thing like yourself be coming to the Oceanica at this time?" He asked indifferently.
"What's happened to you? Your skin, it's…wrong" she questioned, his skin was a dark grey color.
"Do you like it? It's part of the deal I made for power. Now I'm the strongest man alive!" He announced. "And I'm going to kill anyone that stands in my way."
Akiza wanted to run, but a dark fog was building up around her.
"Oh, there's nowhere to go, little girly. You're mine now, and you'll do exactly what I say, or you'll pay the price, dearly!" He said with no small amount of malice in his tone.
"Forget it! I may be a woman, but I am not your property to do with as you please!" She announced, grabbing her deck and setting it in her duel disk. "Now let me outta here!" She demanded.
Steve was very mad at her outburst, fists clenched and his whole body shaking.
"Stupid woman! If you won't listen to my words, then you'll listen to my power!" He declared setting his deck into the folds of flesh on his arm.
"Duel!!" They said together.
"I'll start! I draw!" Akiza declared, looking at her opening hand, "I set two cards facedown then end my turn." She finished.
Two cards appeared on her field facedown.
"Very well, my turn then. I draw." Steve said, then saw what he held, smirking. " I too will set two cards facedown, but I'll also set one monster in defense mode. That ends my turn." He finished.
Three cards appeared on his field facedown.
"Now let's see you survive what I have in store for you little girl." He grinned devilishly.
"I draw!" Looking at her hand, she cringed inwards, "no!" She whispered, she has to hold on until Shelly can get here. "I set one more card facedown and end my turn." She tried to sound confident, she had to hold on, stay strong.
"Haha, I draw. I flip summon Big Eye."
A disgusting red creature wearing green pants and covered in eyeballs from head to toe appeared.
"When he is flipped, I can reset the top five cards of my deck to any order I choose." He said, looking at his deck. "Nice, very nice. These will do nicely to teach you a lesson." He returned the cards in their chosen order.
Akiza steeled herself for what was to come.
"Now I summon Skull Meister in attack mode." He said.
A devilishly handsome man with skulls as decorations and armor appears.
"Now battle! Attack her life points directly!" He orders.
Both monsters move forward, reaching for her with vile in their eyes.
"No! I discard Swift Scarecrow from hand to the graveyard to end the battle phase of your turn!" She countered.
"Very well, I end my turn." He said.
"I draw. Now since I don't control any monsters, I can special summon Junk Forward in defense mode. Then I'll set one monster in defense mode."
A mechanical warrior, all-white armor with a red indicator on its head, and a card-facedown appeared on her field.
"That ends my turn." She finished.
"Not very strong of you, or very ambitious. Your downfall is assured. My turn, I draw. I activate the spell Veil of Darkness, once I draw a dark monster, I can discard them to draw anew. But for now, battle! Meister attack her Forward, and Big Eye attack her facedown monster!" He ordered.
Both of his monsters went forward, smashing hers to pieces.
"That's enough for now. I end my turn." He said playfully.
Akiza was shaking, her body would not obey her will. He noticed this and grinned evilly.
"I...I draw." Her voice is weak, her nerves betray her. "I set one monster in defense mode, and end my turn." She finished a bit too hastily.
He grinned, "I draw. I have gained a dark monster, so I'll discard it to draw again. Now I summon Twin-Headed Wolf in attack mode."
A hellhound with two heads appears on his field.
"Now battle! Big Eye attack her facedown monster!" He ordered.
The freakish thing leapt forwards and smashed the card to pieces, leaving her defenseless.
"No...no.." she whimpered.
"And now to give you a taste of what's to come for all. Attack her directly my beasts!" He commanded.
Both monsters go forwards and beat and cut her deep, knocking her to the deck, and dealing 3300 in damages. 4700lp
Akiza was flung back against the bulkhead, coughing in pain.
"Now let's see how you will fare in the trial of your life! I end my turn." He said.
Akiza struggled to her feet, the pain was real, the injuries were severe, and she was bleeding from her wounds.
Coughing, she wiped the blood from her face and grabbed at her deck. "I draw." She strained in the action, her body, though only marginally damaged, was losing her spirit quickly.
"I activate my Twin Twister, discarding one card to destroy two of your spell and trap cards. First will be your Veil of Darkness, and the next will be your second facedown card!" She said.
Twin tornadoes formed and wiped the two cards off his field.
"Then I summon Bri Synchron in attack mode." She finally got out.
A mechanical warrior of green and yellow armor appeared on her field.
"Battle! Attack his eyesore, Big Eye!" She ordered.
Bro flew forward and used a forearm wing blade to slice the monstrosity in two, dealing a mere 300 in damage. 7700lp
"I end my turn." She said as she nearly slumped to the ground.
Outside, a figure was moving as quickly as she could towards the Oceanica. A fear in the pit of her soul tugging at the fact that danger was near and her sister wasn't answering her comms.
"I'm coming Aki!" Shelly stated to no one in particular.
Inside, Steve was liking the look of anguish Akiza had on her face.
"You know, you almost remind me of the last woman that defied me. Because of her, I was sitting, wasting away my life in a little jail cell you people built, it almost seemed, just for me!" He bellowed at her.
Akiza breathed heavily against the pain of her wounds. "We should have just buried you beneath it!" She said in defiance.
"Well that's not very nice, but she paid for her sins against me, with her life!" Then Steve seemed to look away, "ah!" He seemed interested in something else for a moment. "Your dear beloved sister is on her way to here now. I can sense her. One of the strongest duelists the humans have, and one that I will relish in conquering!" He was elated by the idea.
"No! You still have to deal with me!" She said defiantly.
"Ah yes, little you, not that it hasn't been fun, but I think it's just about time I finished you off. I draw!" He said. "Battle! Meister attack her monster!" He demanded.
Meister went forward and beat Bri with his bare hands, destroying the monster, and dealing her 200 in damage. 4500lp
"Now Twin-Headed Wolf, attack her directly!" He ordered.
The beast snarled and gnashed at her, before biting her arms, one in each head, dealing her 1500 in damage. 3000lp
She fell to the floor trying to hold her arms to herself, but they were too damaged to obey her thoughts. She wailed at the pain of it all. Deep from inside the Oceanicas hull, a noise could be heard.
"Akiza!!"
Steve laughed heartily at the predicament. "Well, well, well. Looks like your dear sister may have made it just in time to save you." Since you can't duel anymore anyways, I'll let you off the hook, but she will have to take your place! As in her life points will be starting where yours have left off!" He cackled evilly as the field before then disappeared.
"no…" Akiza moaned weakly, the blood loss beginning to weaken her too much to remain conscious, she slumped over and passed out just as Shelly reached the duel location.
"Aki! Aki! Wake up! Come on sis, talk to me!" Shelly wrapped her sister in her arms and cradled her lovingly, but Akiza did not stir.
"How precious. Two sisters for the price of but one." Steve's voice rang out from everywhere.
"What have you done to my sister!" She screamed at the darkness.
"Why we dueled, of course. Though we have yet to finish it, she still has 3000 life points left, if you care to take her place." He said.
"Fine!" Shelly steeled her resolve.
"So be it." Steve accepted.
"Duel!" They said together.
"I draw!" Shelly started the new round. "I summon Maraudin' Captain in attack mode! His ability lets me summon another monster from my hand, I special summon Amazoness Swordswoman in attack mode!"
A man with traditional knight's armor and dual swords appeared, then a muscular woman in animal skin and a huge sword appeared beside him on her field.
"Next I activate the field spell, Amazoness Village, this grants any Amazoness monster 200 extra attack points, and affords me the ability to special summon another Amazoness if one should fall in battle!" She declared. "I end my turn!"
He glared at her through yellow glowing eyes, "you dare!! You dare to bring women to face me!!" Steve went into a fit of rage because of this. "I will make you suffer for this insult! I draw! I set two cards facedown, then summon Tardy Orc in attack mode!" He screamed at her.
Two cards formed, then an Orc wearing a backpack appeared on the field between them.
"Now let's see you get past this! I end my turn." He said.
"I draw! I summon Amazoness Chain Master in attack mode!" She said.
Another female warrior appeared, this time with blue animal skins and a long golden chain to use as a weapon.
Steve was furious at the audacity of this woman, filling her field with females, against him. "I'll kill you! I'll kill you, then that girl at your feet for defying me!" He spat as a purple glow enveloped him.
"I activate Amazoness Fighting Spirit, and equip it to Chain Master!" She began.
"Not so fast! I activate Dark Bribe, negating the activation of your card and destroying it. Then you get to draw one new card to your hand." He countered.
"Fine. I set one card facedown then turn my Captain to defense mode, that ends my turn." She finished.
"I draw! Battle! Orc attack her Captain!" He commanded.
The Orc ran across the field and slammed a stack of books on top of the monster, destroying him.
"Now I activate Dark Factory of More Production, by sending one card from my hand to the graveyard, I'm allowed to draw one new card. That ends my turn." He said.
"Then I draw! I summon Amazoness Paladin in attack mode!" She declared.
A woman of fair build, long blonde hair, and a garment of animal skin, hooded and cloaked, appeared on the field. A long slender sword was her weapon.
Steve nearly lost it, another woman to oppose him, but before he could voice his objection, Shelly continued.
"Paladin gains 100 extra attack for each of her kind on the field, so her attack now rises to just beneath ye'rs. But that doesn't concern me, for now, we battle! Chain Master attack his Orc!" She commanded.
Chain Master swung her chain overhead and let it loose on the Orc, who deflected it right back at her, destroying her and dealing Shelly 500 in damage. 2500lp
"When Chain Master is destroyed, I can sacrifice 1500 life points to take a peek at your hand and strategy, and if I'm lucky, I can disrupt such an idea from ever happening. So now, Chain Master, clear a path to his plans!" 1000lp
"No!" He shouted.
A chain flew out of the ground and wrapped around Steve's arm, and his cards were revealed. One, in particular, stood out to her.
"But that's..! I want that card, the large yellow one!" She declared.
The card flew out of his hand and into hers. She stared at the card, it looked almost exactly like the Winged Dragon of Ra in her deck.
"Hamon?" She pondered.
"Grrr! You will be giving that back to me!" He declared.
"I'm not done with my turn just yet. Have ya' forgotten my field spell so soon? Since I lost an Amazoness monster, I can replenish my forces with another! And I choose my Amazoness Tiger in attack mode!"
An orange and black striped tiger leapt out of the Village, roaring in defiance of what Steve stood for.
"My Tiger is a loyal beast to his Amazoness masters, and he's rewarded with 400 extra attack points for every Amazoness on the field!" She explained.
"No!" He almost spat the word out.
"Now he is stronger than ye'rs, and I thought it fittin' a beast lands the first blow. Tiger attack his Orc!" She ordered.
The Tiger lunged forward and bit down on the Orc, destroying it and dealing him 300 in damage. 7400lp
"Now my Paladin and Swordswoman, attack him directly and make him suffer for all he's done to my dear sweet sister!" She commanded.
Both female warriors leapt forwards, swinging their swords in wide arcs and flashy moves, slicing and cutting at him, dealing him 3900 in damage. 3500lp
Steve fell back, landing hard on the deck, he had cuts and bruises all over from the attacks. Shelly was somewhat taken aback by the sight of the real damage but remembered her sister at her feet. Steve began to rise in an unnatural way, lifting from the deck from being flat on his back, to a standing position without so much as to bend a knee.
A look of pure evil in his eyes as he stared down at Shelly. "Hahahahahaha! Finally! A real challenge! And I will kill you for this defiance!" He declared.
"Yeah well, that don't look to be happenin' from where I'm standin'." She declared. "I end my turn."
"I draw. First I'll activate my Twin Twister, discarding one card to destroy your field spell and the facedown card on the left of your field."
Twin tornadoes formed and blasted her off the field.
"Next I activate Monster Reborn! This allows me to regain Tardy Orc in attack mode. And finally, I summon Goblin King in attack mode." He said.
A small fiend sitting on a miniature throne, and wearing a crown and cape appeared on his field.
"King gains 1000 attack points for each fiend I control, so right now he only has 1000. But you cannot attack my king without first going through my other fiends." He explained. "Speaking of my other fiends, battle! Orc attack her Paladin and show her what her defiance will cost her!"
The Orc went across the field and smashed Paladin with a stack of books, dealing her 200 in damage. 800lp
Shelly didn't even flinch at the idea of the damage. She knew what to do, she already had the cards for it. A small voice beside her called out in pain, it was almost a whisper, and she nearly missed it. Kneeling, she touched Akizas' forehead. It was burning up.
"Aki!" She said, concern in her tone.
"Well now, seems we have some divided attention. I bet she won't last if we continue our duel. Sure you may win the duel, but you will lose your dear sweet sister. She's lost a terrible amount of blood already. I dare say, if she doesn't leave this place right now, she will die from it." He taunted her.
Shelly gritted her teeth, no dammit! She had him! She could win this! But..what about Aki, she couldn't just abandon her sister now, not when she needed her.
"Forfeit this duel, Shelly!" He taunted some more. Forfeit the duel or your sister's life! I end my turn."
Shelly gripped her sister's hand, it wasn't very warm.
She closed her eyes and with gritted teeth, "I forfeit this duel to ya' Bensen!" She finally said.
"I knew you would, she was an interesting plaything, didn't put up much of a struggle though. Can't wait till I bed her like all the rest of the women." He remarked snidely.
Shelly whirled on him and nearly lunged at him. "YA' WILL NOT TOUCH HER AGAIN!! She shouted.
Steve just laughed her off and moved to the water's edge. "Leave, woman, before I change my mind about killing you two here and now."
"What're ya' doin' in the Oceanica anyways?" She asked as she knelt to hoist up her sister in her arms.
"I'm taking all the abundant natural energy here to power up myself. And I'm almost done here too." He explained.
"Ya' can't! Ya'll kill all the remainin' ocean life of our world!" She said.
"As if I'd care, I'm going to rule this world and the next with the power of my Phantasms!" He declared. "Oh, and if you haven't guessed, I'm also responsible for what's happening outside with all the humans. They just can't resist the evil magics of this world." He said.
Shelly wanted to stay and try to stop him, but she had to leave and get Akiza some medical attention. So she carried her sister away from him and off the Oceanica, listening to him laughing the whole way out.
