Anastasia
I am already sick of these wedding party bonding activities. Poor Christian seems to have it the hardest, considering Mia has been using his house for dance lessons and now is using his boat for a day out with a bunch of people he doesn't care about.
I'm happy that I'll have an excuse to see Christian and Elliot, but it isn't like I can spend much time with them without anyone getting suspicious. At least we'll be in the same vicinity.
When the girls and I get down to the pier, the others are already there waiting and Elliot surprises me when he lifts me into the boat. I worry that the girls will talk, but then he lifts Mia and then Kate, making her giggle.
"Is it just me or does Elliot get hotter every time we see him?" Kate whispers into my ear while she fans herself with her hand. Oh, shit.
"He's Mia's brother, Kate!" It's a weak argument and she knows it.
"Who cares? She's marrying my twin, Ana! Too bad he's like ten years older than us. Dad would pop an artery for even thinking about the dirty things I want to do to him."
I roll my eyes. "Leave Elliot alone and find someone our age." God, I'm such a hypocrite, but I need her to keep her eyes off of him. I'm already feeling possessive and we've only had one date. Shit. I hope Kate doesn't hate me if she finds out.
We have a seat on one of the padded benches with Mia, Ethan, and José and wait for everyone to get settled so we can slip out of the pier and into the open water.
My heart jumps around when I see Christian and Elliot settle on the bench across from us, letting the two set of parents have the front bench area to themselves. Tessa, another bridesmaid who I don't like much, has a seat next to Christian and I can't help my eyebrow raise when I see her smile at him. He is ignoring her, but smiles down at his shoes. I'm sure he's enjoying my reaction to her. Stoic bastard would probably love to watch me get all huffy and try to throw her overboard. Like he needs his ego inflated even more.
"You don't mind if I sit beside you, do you? The others are hogging the other bench."
I scowl at her. "If you want to have a seat here, I'll gladly switch with you Tess."
"It's Tessa, as I've told you before, and I'm sure you would gladly switch with me, but I'm fine here. Christian will keep me company, won't you?" She batts her fake eyelashes at my man and I pray that they fly off when we pick up speed.
"I don't keep anyone company, Tessa." He pronounces her name hard and I bite my lip to keep my grin off my face while my eyes meet Elliot's. He looks as entertained as I am. "I'm not here to babysit."
"Christian! You're so rude!" Mia hollers at him from beside me. "We're supposed to bond!"
Does she know her brother? Christian doesn't bond. Well... maybe he does. I can't fight my smug grin while I think about it.
Tessa stands up and fixes her dress. "Forget it. I'll go sit with the others." She stomps off toward the back where the rest of the wedding party is congregating and I laugh when Kate wiggles her fingers at her retreating form. Besides the fact that Mia wants a large wedding party, I really don't know why she asked Tessa to be a bridesmaid. She was always so fake to Mia and hated Kate and me. Probably jealous of our friendship.
I slip my sandals off and sit cross-legged on the bench, getting comfortable.
"Jesus, Ana! Where did those come from?" Kate pokes one of the bruises Christian left.
My face heats and I try to pull the leg of white shorts down enough to cover them.
"What have you been doing? Or rather who? I know you've been MIA lately, but I didn't think... damn, girl!"
Jesus, please let this boat hit a wave and knock me out of the boat. Even with the breeze blowing from the moving boat, I am sweating.
Mia bends to look and I push her shoulder. "How did you keep this from us! Spill the tea!"
I chance a look over at the brothers and they're both grinning like Cheshire cats.
"It's-it's nothing."
"The hell it is! I am the bride and I am forcing you to tell us all the dirty details."
"Mia, leave her alone." Ethan pats his fiancé's hand and I give him an appreciative smile.
"Fuck no! We share our dirty details, she should share hers, too. Up until now I thought she was a nun!"
I cover my face with my hands and shake my head. I don't know what to say.
"Is the sex at least good?" Kate bumps me with her shoulder. "We won't make you give details if you're uncomfortable, but please tell me this guy is doing it right."
I nod. "It's great. Let's leave it at that."
Kate squeals and throws her arm over my shoulders. "Get it, girl! I'm so proud of you!"
I roll my eyes. "What's a girl have to do to get something to drink around here?"
XxXxXx
"Truth or dare, Kate!" We're a few drinks in and we just started a rousing game of truth or dare. I plan on keeping to truths, scared of the dares.
"Dare!" She answers Mia.
"I dare you to go tell your father your aren't going to work at the firm." Mia grins, but I wince.
"Mia! I can't tell him that, yet!"
"Then here's your shot!" Mia hands her the tequila shot to take.
"Damn it." Kate shoots it and wrinkles her nose. "Okay, Ana's turn. Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
Kate gives me a grin that has me rethinking my choice.
"Is it true that you gave Cameron Stone a blow job our sophomore year of college so that he wouldn't tell our parents about our partying."
Fuck you, Kate. Of course she would bring that up now. I change my mind. "Dare."
Her head falls back in a laugh. "Okay, at the reception, I dare you to ask Cameron to dance."
"Wait, what?" I'm confused. I turn to Mia. "You aren't inviting him, are you?"
Mia winces. "Er... surprise?"
"Mia! Why would you invite that douche bag?"
"You know his father works for Dad's firm! I had to ask the whole family."
"I'm not going." I shake my head and cross my arms.
"Oh, Ana, it's not that bad!" Mia squeezes my arm but I pull away. I hate that kid.
"Not that bad? Every time the guy gets drunk he brings up what he calls the greatest blow job he ever had."
"Thank you, Kate." I roll my eyes and slide low in my seat. I wouldn't be so damn mortified if both Grey men weren't sitting across from us. I don't want to know any of their past conquests and I certainly don't want to tell them mine. "Excuse me." I need to get away from them and relax a little. "Christian, where's the restroom?"
He stares up at me for a moment, his jaw clenched, before standing. "I'll show you. I need to check on lunch anyway." With a hand on the small of my back, we make our way to the stairs.
"I thought you weren't babysitting!" Mia calls out, teasing him, but he ignores her.
I'm mesmerized when I see the living quarters. "This is beautiful, Christian." I turn to look at him and he's pissed. I want to kill Kate.
He escorts me away from the kitchen area where two people are making lunch for the wedding party and towards the back hallway.
"Did that Stone kid really blackmail you into oral sex?"
My mouth drops. "Um...wow. I never really thought about it like that before."
"Did you want to do it?"
I chew my lip and shrug. "It worked. He kept his mouth shut."
"That is rape, Anastasia!"
I shush him and grab his forearms. "Christian! Don't be ridiculous. I could have said no. I didn't want us to get in trouble!"
He shakes my hands off of him and grips my hips. He's close enough for me to get a whiff of him and it sends my body into overdrive even with this awful subject. My body has begun to associate his smell to sex and I'm not sure I appreciate it. "That's bullshit. He coerced you into a sexual act by using fear. That is what predators do, Sugar! How many times has this happened?"
"Only once. I've done oral with others but it was consensual."
He searches my face and I actually hold my breath, hoping he'll drop the subject. Finally, he nods. "Okay. I'll take care of it."
My eyebrows shoot up. "What does that mean?"
"Don't worry about it. The bathroom is right through here. Beside the bedroom."
I smile. "The bedroom, huh."
He laughs out my name. "We don't have time for that here. Make quick work of the restroom so I can give you a proper kiss before we head back up."
"Yes, sir!"
When we make our way back up, I'm still panting from the kiss, but Christian looks completely unaffected. It pisses me off. I feel like complete mush.
"Ana! About time! It's your turn again!" Kate pats the seat beside her.
"We're still playing this game?"
Kate gives me a once over and then her eyes narrow in on my lips. It looks like some sort of realization has hits because she grins. She leans over to whisper in my ear. "Looks like you have a secret."
Fuck, she knows what we did below deck.
"Truth or dare, Ana?"
I know she expects me to choose truth so she can ask me about Christian. "Dare."
"Hmm. Dare, huh?" She thinks for a second. "I dare you to kiss one of the men on the boat."
I laugh. "That's an easy one."
"Nuh uh! Not just a peck. A real one."
I cock an eyebrow at her. "A real one, huh?" My grin grows even larger. Kate's pissed me off today so I think I'll go for the jugular. Standing, I make my way over towards the Grey men and I look over my shoulder to see her sitting at the edge of her seat. She wants me to show her that she's right. But, I won't. Instead, I have a seat in Elliot's lap and his arms immediately wrap around me and I take no time pressing my lips to his and deepening the kiss. His hands slide up my back and press me into him while mine play with his hair.
We hear cat calls behind us and I pull away, giggling. I hadn't expected so many people to be rooting us on.
"Thank you, Elliot."
"You're welcome. Such an honor to be your top choice, Sugar." Elliot gives me a Cheshire grin as I slip off his lap to return to my seat.
"Elliot?" Kate narrows her eyes at me. "I thought you had a boyfriend."
I shrug. I know she's probably pissed at me right now, but I'm annoyed, too. She brought up shit that she shouldn't have and tried to out Christian and me to everyone. I know we'll need to talk privately later about this.
I feel like my relationship with both Grey men is already causing tension with the people I love. If they hadn't been sitting there, the Cameron thing wouldn't have been a big deal. I wouldn't have kissed Elliot in front of Kate just because I knew she had feelings for him. I haven't even had sex with him and yet, I feel possessive and territorial over the man.
I already regret kissing him in front of everyone. I worry Kate is heart sick over it. When I take a glance towards her, she does look like she suddenly has the world on her shoulders.
Reaching over, I wrap an arm around her waist and hug her against me. "I'm sorry. We'll talk soon, okay? Just the two of us. I love you."
Her eyes are full of tears, but she gives me a smile. "Yea, that sounds good."
I wipe a tear off her cheek that falls and rest my head on her shoulder. "We're going to have a great afternoon. A truth or dare free one."
She rests her head on top of mine and laughs. "I'm never playing that game again."
