Note: Hey, everybody, how are you doing? Good? Well, it doesn't matter, because I have a rather dark surprise for you. Remember when I said I wasn't going to post another major Star Fox story aside from How We Got Here and Love Or Lust? Well, I kinda lied when I said that. However, it's also kinda true, because this isn't an actual, official story in my timeline. Rather, like Love Or Lust and Corneria's Skull, it is non-canon to my major Star Fox stories.
This story is a bit of a "What If?", as it essentially takes place in an alternate route. The question here is this: What if Aliens To Them didn't happen? This story will be the answer to that, instead continuing on in the Lylat System. Because of that, none of the characters from The Raccoons will appear in this story. I think it's a given, considering how dark this story might get.
Before we officially begin the story, I want to give all of you a fair warning. This story contains subject matter that some viewers may find disturbing. If you want to read the story, then be prepared for what happens later on. If you wish to read one of my more lighthearted stories, then turn back and go read those. Just be warned that I'm not the first person to write Star Fox stories with disturbing subject matter. Now, without further ado, I bring you An Unforgivable Sin, chapter one!
Chapter 1: Four Creepy Men
It was quiet in the Great Fox, as everyone was sleeping. The team who lived in the spacecraft, Star Fox, had completed a harrowing mission the other night. An hostage situation happened on Zoness, so they were sent there by Corneria's leader, General Pepper. While many of their missions could get grueling, Star Fox found themselves having to rescue 105 hostages from a crime lord. By the end of it, all of the hostages were rescued (albeit injured) and the crime lord was dead, but the team was exhausted, to the point where they nearly collapsed in the Great Fox. As a result, they decided to go to bed early, wanting to recharge for the next day.
Despite how exhausting the mission was, that didn't compare to when a majority of the team was kidnapped by the Mauricio crime family a month ago. While one member was left behind due to the mobsters finding her dangerous, the rest were held in South Corneria City, awaiting execution by their captors. This situation was so serious, General Pepper and the CDF had to send out a team of trainees, known as the Cornerian Knights, to save them. As for the member who was left behind, she was able to free some of her captured comrades from the compound they were being held in. If not for the timely intervention of their allies and the team of recruits, the men of Star Fox would've gotten the concrete shoes treatment while the women would've been encased in latex, turning them into morbid statues that would be sold to the highest bidder as they suffocated or starved to death. The Mauricio Family often did the latter to their female targets, though some were saved from their fate.
As the team slept, ROB64, their drone, checked in on them. One by one, he opened the doors to each room and peeked in. The robot was quiet, to the point where he turned on his "Silence" feature, which prevented him from making a noise. Not even his limbs would whir once the option was on. This made it easier for ROB to check on something without causing some form of stir. He got a closer look at his compatriots, making sure that they were sleeping well.
The first one ROB checked on was the team's leader, Fox McCloud. He had risen to the rank of leader after the unfortunate death of his father, James McCloud. Fox was able to avenge both his father and his mother by defeating the man responsible for both their deaths: Andross. From there, the orange tod became a hero in the Lylat Wars, which carried over to the Aparoid invasion. Up until then, he wasn't sure what his future would've been like, but now he knew. As far as Fox was concerned, he was happy with where he was at now.
Next up was Falco Lombardi, the Ace pilot of the Star Fox team. ROB didn't usually visit his room, but decided to check on him. Unlike Fox, the pheasant grew up on Zoness with his mother and two siblings. Falco's father, Ralph, left the family due to thinking he wasn't good enough to provide for his wife and children. This, combined with several other factors, led to Falco becoming an outlaw. He would've continued on this path if not for Fox, who was introduced to him by Peppy. While the avian and the orange tod couldn't stand each other at first, the two became friends, and eventually teammates.
ROB noticed how Falco had become more open and friendly since joining Star Fox. Not only had the pheasant become willing to work with others, but he had stopped being secretive about his past. The drone figured that he was grateful for the team helping to turn his life around. The avian managed to reunite with his childhood friend, Katt Monroe, and began a relationship with her following a week where she had gotten amnesia. He was even visiting his father, who was now undergoing treatment for cancer, as his life of alcoholism had triggered it. While Falco didn't have the best relationship with his siblings, they all agreed to remain optimistic for their father, as they knew they wouldn't get another chance.
Stepping into the next room, ROB saw Peppy Hare on his bed. He was the only remaining member of the original team, seeing as James' death and the betrayal caused by one former member, the infamous Pigma Dengar, reduced Star Fox down to a vulnerable point. However, the hare decided to become a father figure to Fox, due to a promise he made to James. Around the beginning of the Lylat Wars, Peppy hoped that the new team would do better against Venom's forces, given what had happened before. To his relief, not only was the CDF there to help Star Fox, but Fox had managed to kill Andross. Knowing that, the lepus knew that the war was over.
Peppy had been under some stress as of late. He couldn't help it, given what Star Fox had been through after the Lylat Wars. In fact, in only a few months after the war, the team was called down to Sauria in order to save it from destruction. A year had passed, and the Aparoid Invasion was on the horizon. With the battles escalating to the point where everything would be lost if the monsters had won, Peppy tried to sacrifice himself by crashing the Great Fox into the Aparoid Homeworld. However, he survived, and had regrouped with his teammates.
Slippy Toad was the one who ROB needed to check on next. He was the team mechanic, and he occasionally invented devices that his teammates could use on a mission. Despite that, the toad often had trouble flying his Arwing during battle. It turned out that his mechanic skills didn't translate well to piloting skills. Star Fox still regarded him as important, given what he was capable of. After all, everything that he could do was something that he inherited from his father, Beltino.
Lastly, ROB checked on the newest, youngest member of Star Fox: Krystal Bodimead. Unlike her teammates, Krystal grew up in royalty, being the Princess of Cerinia up until the planet's destruction. Her life as a princess wasn't as happy as one would expect, given how her father, King Opal Bodimead, beat her and forbade her to do anything that made her happy, which included having friends or going to school. Such abuse escalated to the point where he had attempted to violate his daughter a day after she had turned seventeen. The cobalt vixen's mother, Queen Estelle Bodimead, on the other hand, made sure that her child got the education and mentorship that she desired. If not for Estelle's assistance and reassuring attitude, Krystal's life would've went downhill.
Once Cerinia had come under fire from Venom, Krystal was separated from her family and put in a ship that would take her to Sauria by Opal. The cobalt vixen had lived on the planet for four months, until the Saurian Crisis came. This was when she met Star Fox, who helped her to save her new home. Her efforts during this event caused the team to consider hiring her, finding her telepathy especially useful. The Cerinian joined before the Aparoid Invasion happened, which meant that she had time to prove herself. By working with her teammates, their allies, and even the rival team, Star Wolf, Krystal helped to save the galaxy.
ROB looked down at Krystal, thinking about how her life had been met with a doozy as of this year. Not only did Opal turn out to not be her biological father, but she was born out of an affair Estelle had with another man. The former Queen even left behind a will that she wanted her daughter to have. It didn't just contain money and directions, but also an address to an apartment that she used in secret. Krystal didn't receive this will until a time period where she was aged backwards following a mission. By the time she was an adult again, the cobalt vixen had another place to go to.
While the fact that Krystal's father wasn't her biological one was already surprising to ROB, he was surprised on who her biological father was: Wolf O'Donnell. The leader of Star Wolf seemed like the last person who would father a child, given who he was. However, everyone finds love every once in a while, and Wolf turned out to have an old flame. That old flame happened to be Estelle, who would have Krystal months after her affair with the one-eyed lupine. While he would be unable to save his lover and their newborn daughter, he was able to see the latter again after so many years. By reuniting with the daughter he thought had died after Cerinia's destruction, Wolf's attitude changed from that day forward.
Knowing that it wouldn't be long until morning, ROB decided to leave the team alone, so that they could sleep for longer. Once everyone was up, the drone worked on breakfast. He decided to make pancakes, eggs, and bacon, despite that he had plenty of time to make a big meal. As he cooked each food, ROB made sure to not put any meat on Krystal's plate, seeing as she was a vegetarian. Likewise, he didn't put any eggs on Falco's plate, as the pheasant wasn't prone to eating them. The moment the robot got done, Star Fox had entered the kitchen.
"Wanted to surprise us, ROB?" Fox spoke.
"Negative," ROB said, "I am simply programmed to serve Star Fox everyday."
"You're doing a good job." Falco said.
"Thank you." The drone said. "Though you cannot tell, I am smiling."
Star Fox then sat down, deciding to eat the breakfast that ROB had prepared for them. While eating, the team talked about what they were planning to do for the day.
"So, do you guys want to see a movie?" Slippy asked.
"I can't," Fox said, "but thanks for asking."
"Katt wants me to help her clean up at her place." Falco stated. "I just hope that I can prevent her from getting amnesia this time."
"I gotta stay here in case the General calls." Peppy said.
"What about you, Krystal?" Slippy asked, looking at who was sitting next to him.
"I'm actually going to go on a walk later." Krystal said. "Sorry, Slippy, maybe next time."
The team continued to eat, wanting to fill their bellies. Fox turned the radio on, wanting to add some sound to the room. He didn't end up on a music station, but rather a news station. After a minute of banter, a story came up. Star Fox sat and listened to it, intrigued by what it could be about.
"In the news today: three soldiers in the CDF have been discharged due to their lengthy criminal record!" A newscaster spoke.
Surprised by the news, Peppy turned up the volume on the radio.
"A few days ago, the CDF removed three of its soldiers due to their large criminal record." The newscaster continued. "The soldiers' names will not be discussed, but they are in serious legal trouble. One was discharged after General Pepper discovered that he committed sexual assault, kidnapping, and torture. The second soldier in the trio was discharged for murder and assaulting a superior officer. As for the third soldier, he was discharged for several counts of sexual harassment, one count of theft, and three counts of attempted sexual assault. Before they could be arrested, the three went into hiding, having been bailed out by someone who claimed to be their friend."
"Uh oh!" Slippy spoke.
"That's a bad sign!" Fox said.
"Yeah, and we don't even know what these guys look like!" Falco said. "We don't even know who they are!"
"Don't worry, I'm sure that someone will identify them and bring them to justice." Krystal said.
"Let's hope so!" Peppy said as he turned off the radio.
A few hours later, Star Fox had an errand to run, and the team discussed who should be the one to run it. Slippy didn't want to do it, claiming that he ran the last errand. Peppy would be busy that day, so he would be unable to complete it. Fox and Falco looked at each other, wondering which of them would be the one to run the errand. However, they remembered how Krystal mentioned that she was going to go on a walk at some point. While it seemed cautious that they would send her out there, considering that three disgraced soldiers and their ally were on the loose, they felt that she would be able to get away from them.
Moments before Krystal had left, Fox spoke to her.
"I know I said that I was going to go on a walk," Krystal said, "but now I'm a little afraid, knowing that there are three dangerous criminals roaming around Corneria, if not the Lylat System!"
"That doesn't mean that you can't fight back." Fox said. "If you encounter these guys, Krystal, contact us as quickly as you can, and maybe call the cops as well."
"I'll do it." The cobalt vixen said. "Even if I get caught, I'll fight as best as I can!"
As the Great Fox was already on Corneria, Krystal had no problem getting off of it. She walked out of the entrance, ready to get the errands done. The cobalt vixen made her way to Corneria City, needing to go there in order to deposit money at the bank. Once she got that out of the way, she had to go to Corneria College, where she would hand a package over to someone. However, the meeting place wasn't at any of the areas where class was being held. Rather, it was at an on-campus bar known as The Lazy Goat.
Upon entering The Lazy Goat, Krystal saw a gray tabby cat sitting at a table. The feline was who she needed to give the package to, so she knew that it was alright. Being inside the bar was a different story, however, as the cobalt vixen had a bad feeling. Her telepathy was picking up these feelings from someone, warning her to get out of there as quickly as possible. The Cerinian was ready to leave, until she heard someone approaching her. Said person dwarfed her by nearly two feet.
"Excuse me, have I seen you before?" A gruff, masculine voice asked.
Turning around, Krystal saw who was addressing her: a grizzly bear with blue eyes. He was dressed in a white t-shirt, a black jacket, a black tie, dress pants, and sneakers. In addition to that, the boar was muscular, looking like he worked out. Despite that, the ursine seemed friendly. However, Krystal was picking up suspicious vibes from him. Her telepathy was screaming for her to get out of his sight and run as far away from him as possible.
"I'm not really inclined to answer that, sir." Krystal kindly spoke.
"That's a shame, honey." The grizzly said. "I don't understand why such a pretty girl would risk your life on the missions you have with your team. That life can't be good for you."
"Well, my team & I take care of each other." The cobalt vixen said. "Other than that, I feel comfortable with my life."
"It's just too bad that I don't see women like you around here." The ursine said. "I would even buy a drink for you."
"That's rather nice of you, sir, but no thanks." The Cerinian said.
"You don't have to call me 'Sir', sweetie." The bartender said. "My name's Randall Grizz, but you can call me Mr. Grizz, Randall, or Randy."
"I'll just call you Mr. Grizz, because I like to be formal." The vulpine said. "I should really get going, my friends are waiting for me at the mall."
"Well, in that case, I'll let you go for now. But, believe me when I say this, I'll find a way to get you."
After that brief conversation, Mr. Grizz walked off. With him gone, Krystal was free to walk out of The Lazy Goat. Before she could, she heard someone speaking to her.
"You should be more careful with who you talk to."
Turning around, Krystal saw the tabby cat standing up.
"I tried to avoid a conversation, but the guy pulled me into it." Krystal said.
"And I'm just giving you a fair warning, honey." The cat said. "That bartender may look nice, but I've heard that he's been known to bed every woman he comes across."
"I'll keep that in mind the next time I see him." The cobalt vixen said. "Thank you, sir!"
"And thank you for giving me my package!" The feline smiled.
"You're welcome!" The Cerinian said.
Walking out of The Lazy Goat, Krystal decided to continue on with her walk. However, she had a feeling that she would see Mr. Grizz again. The cobalt vixen hoped that it wouldn't happen. If what the recipient for that package said was true, then she would be in-danger of being taken advantage of. Considering how much bigger the grizzly bear was, the Cerinian figured that she would have a hard time fighting off his advances. She just hoped that he could be reasoned with.
Walking off of campus, Krystal decided to go see the cherry tree that was planted at the park. Once she got there, however, she saw someone else standing in front of it. This person was a bull terrier with eyes that were a chilling light blue. He was wearing a red tank top, leather pants, and boots. There was a holster for a bowie knife on the canine's waist, with the knife being in it. Like Mr. Grizz, he was muscular, though it was a bit more visible. Unlike the grizzly bear, the terrier gave off a more dangerous vibe, one that made Krystal want to run away as fast as she could.
"Hello, there, sweetie!" The bull terrier greeted. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm just taking a look at the tree." Krystal said.
"So am I." The canine said. "You know, it's not every day that a pretty girl approaches me. Usually, they think I'm creepy."
"Well, maybe you should talk to someone, sir." The cobalt vixen said.
"You can call me Wedge, kid." He said.
"Okay, Mr. Wedge." The Cerinian said. "I'm not staying for long, sir, I'm going to leave in a few."
"Why leave?" Wedge asked.
"Because I have to meet up with my friends."
"Oh. In that case, I'll see you around!"
"See you later!"
Once that was out of the way, Krystal walked away as quick as she could. Much like her encounter with Mr. Grizz, she felt creeped out. Neither men had pleasant thoughts on their minds, which made it worse for the cobalt vixen. She listened to her telepathy, promising herself that she would not speak to Mr. Grizz and Wedge again. As long as they didn't see her again, the Cerinian had a feeling that she would be safe. However, something else told her that she would see them again.
Back at the Great Fox, the rest of the team was in the control room, waiting for Krystal to come back. They worried for her safety, despite her being a telepath. While the cobalt vixen was capable of fighting off an attacker and taking care of herself, she still had limits. If someone much bigger and stronger tried to grab her, then she would probably be unable to fight them off. Even if she could hit certain areas, it depended on the person's tolerance for pain. Chances are, the attacker could be resistant to attacks like that. If that happened, then Star Fox hoped that Krystal would get away, or even fight off her attacker.
As they waited, Star Fox got a call from General Pepper. Peppy answered it, seeing as he was the closest to the communication panel. Once the call loaded, the team was met by the General himself. However, he didn't look happy to see them. Rather, the hound dog looked frantic. In fact, he seemed rather worried. While Star Fox often saw him frantic, seeing him worried was something that troubled them.
"Star Fox!" Pepper spoke. "We've got a serious problem!"
"What's the matter, General?" Slippy asked.
"Someone broke into the tower, and they've stolen several files for certain individuals in the Lylat System!" The hound dog said.
"That's impossible!" Peppy cried. "Those files are the most protected in the government!"
"Who could've broken into your storage?" Falco asked.
"I don't know!" The General said. "Dammit, the files that were stolen contained crucial information on certain individuals in the Lylat System!"
"Like who, General?" Fox asked.
"I can't disclose that, but I need you to look for them!" The canine said. "With them gone, who knows what they could be used for?!"
"Don't worry, we'll get everyone we can!" The orange tod said.
"Please do, because this is a nightmare!" He said.
Upon ending the call, Star Fox knew that they would need all the help they could get. Knowing that she was still in Corneria City, Fox went to get in contact with Krystal. He worried about her safety, even though she had proven she could look after herself before. It was bad enough that there were disgraced former soldiers who were loose, but now there were stolen files concerning certain individuals. All the team needed to do now was search for the former CDF soldiers and find the missing files. Once everyone was together, they would be able to carry out the mission.
Krystal continued to walk through Corneria City, intent on heading back to the Great Fox. While doing so, her communicator rang, signaling that someone was calling her. The cobalt vixen answered it, waiting for the caller to speak. She often found it rude to speak before someone else could in a call.
"Krystal," Fox's voice came out of the communicator, "are you there?"
"I'm on my way back to the Great Fox." Krystal spoke into it. "I took care of everything I needed to."
"Well, hurry on back, because we've got a new mission!" The orange tod said. "Someone broke into the General's tower and stole several files concerning different people in the Lylat System! Once you get here, we'll start searching for them!"
"I'll be at the Great Fox as quick as I can, Fox." The cobalt vixen said.
Putting her communicator away, Krystal began to walk faster. She was intent on getting to the Great Fox as quickly as they could. However, while doing so, she saw a German Shepard and a Husky moving a couch. The German Shepard had yellow eyes, and he was wearing a black t-shirt that tightly fit on his torso, jean shorts, and running shoes. As for the Husky, he wore a white jacket, similar to the ones her teammates would, a green long-sleeved shirt, leggings, and sneakers. Once the two had moved their couch, they looked over at Krystal.
"Hey, good lookin', where are you off to?" The Husky called.
"I'm just taking a walk!" Krystal said.
"Why don't you come over?" The German Shepard spoke.
"I've got somewhere to be, guys!" The cobalt vixen said. "Maybe some other time!"
Looking back over to them, Krystal saw the Husky pull out a phone. She continued to walk, but her telepathy picked up their thoughts. The cobalt vixen was then met with the thought patterns of the two canines. As they rang through her mind, the Cerinian groaned.
God, that girl is beautiful! A thought from the German Shepard's mind came first.
I've been around lots of girls, but I think she might be the sexiest one! The Husky's thoughts were next. Hopefully, the boys can come as quick as they can, because I want to have her!
C'mon, don't go! The German Shepard's mind discharged another thought. Dammit, just stay where you are! Oh, how I just want to tie you down, gag you, and thrust into you, you sexy little girl!
Disturbed by their thoughts, Krystal walked away from the German Shepard and the Husky as fast as she could. However, while she was able to get away from them, she could still hear their dirty thoughts. In addition to that, the cobalt vixen could sense two people coming towards her in a car. They were going rather fast, as if the driver and the passenger were in a hurry. Frightened by this, Krystal started to run towards the Great Fox's entrance, not wanting to get run over or worse. She was almost at the door when she heard a car door open.
"Where's the fire, sweetheart?" A familiar voice called out.
Turning around, Krystal saw Mr. Grizz walking towards her. Behind him was a white muscle car, looking like something you would see in a movie. Someone else stepped out of the car, coming out of the driver's seat. This person happened to be Wedge, who was now holding a bowie knife in his hand. The grizzly bear and the Bull Terrier were joined by the German Shepard and the Husky, who looked eager to do something bad to Krystal. All four men surrounded the cobalt vixen, smiling and giving flirtatious looks.
"Are you lost, honey?" Mr. Grizz spoke. "You're about to enter the home of Star Fox."
"I just figured that they could help me out, that's all." Krystal said.
"Kid, you can't fool us." The Husky said. "We know who you and your team are."
"Look, gentlemen, I don't want this to end in violence." The cobalt vixen said. "If you would just leave me be, I'll go back in there. I promise, I won't be a bother to any of you."
Mr. Grizz, Wedge, the German Shepard, and the Husky looked at each other for a minute. They then broke out into laughter, their voices filled with cruelty. It was clear that they weren't going to leave until they got what they wanted. With her telepathy on, Krystal could tell that they had a disturbing desire on their minds. Strangely, she couldn't get a read on who the German Shepard and the Husky were. It was as if they had shuffled their thoughts, rendering their minds a jumbled mess.
"Sorry, little girl, but we're not letting you out of our sight!" The Husky said.
"Yeah, you're not getting away from us!" Wedge spoke.
"No matter what you do, we're going to have you!" The German Shepard said.
"And there's not a damn thing you can do to stop us!" Mr. Grizz said.
Taking out her communicator, Krystal decided to make two separate calls. The first one was for the Corneria City Police Department, where she told them that she was being harassed by four creepy strangers. The cop who answered the phone told the cobalt vixen that a cruiser would be there as fast as possible. As for the second call, she decided to leave a message for Fox. The orange tod was probably wondering what was taking the Cerinian so long, so she decided to send him something.
"Fox," Krystal spoke into her communicator, "I'm going to be running behind. I have to take out the trash!"
After sending her message, Krystal got in a defensive stance. She had her staff and blaster on hand, but she figured that she would end the encounter without killing the four men who were surrounding her. Once they rushed at the cobalt vixen, she fought back against them. Dodging each punch and kick that came her way, she returned the favor with a bit of her own. The Cerinian aimed for vital areas, hoping that hitting them would be enough to knock out her aggressors. The moment they were knocked out, she would let the police arrest them, and she would be able to go on the mission with her teammates.
Mr. Grizz, Wedge, the German Shepard, and the Husky didn't go down, no matter how many times Krystal hit them. They seemed to be stronger than the flunkies Star Fox would fight off during a mission. Krystal hit them again, but they still wouldn't go down. As much as she hated to admit it, the four men were tough and resilient. The only time the cobalt vixen had seen such qualities were when she saw the SharpClaws in action, and when she saw soldiers of the CDF in the middle of endurance training. These two occasions had not only amazed her, but also frightened her.
Seeing as hand-to-hand combat wasn't going to work, Krystal brought out her blaster. Before she could fire it, her telepathy warned for her to fire it quickly. However, the warning was too slow, as the cobalt vixen's weapon was knocked out of her hands. Looking over to her aggressors, she saw that Wedge had brought out a blaster of her own. Not only had the Bull Terrier managed to be faster than Krystal's, but he had a blaster of his own on hand. It even seemed to be the same kind of blaster the CDF used, complete with a suppressor.
Krystal got out her staff and aimed it at Wedge. She fired a blast at the Bull Terrier, knocking him back. As a result, Mr. Grizz, the German Shepard, and the Husky slowly approached the cobalt vixen, ignoring the fact that she had a weapon out. The German Shepard reached towards Krystal, wanting to grab her by her arms. In response, she swung her staff at the canine, hoping to knock him out. However, he grabbed the pointed end of the staff, leaving him vulnerable to an attack.
Unfazed by what was in front of him, the German Shepard signaled for Mr. Grizz and the Husky to run at Krystal. Knowing what they were doing on account of her telepathy, the cobalt vixen tried to get away. But, the German Shepard didn't let go, having a tight grip on the other end of her staff. With Mr. Grizz and the Husky behind her, the Cerinian was intent on dodging whatever attack came her way. She kicked the German Shepard between his legs, causing him to scream in pain. This caused him to glare at the vulpine angrily.
"You slut!" The German Shepard spat. "Now, we're going to do this the hard way! Get her mouth, Johnston!"
With her telepathy warning her to get away, Krystal struggled to free herself. However, the Husky, presumably the Johnston the German Shepard was referring to, clasped his hand over her mouth. He yanked the cobalt vixen so hard, she lost her grip on her staff. She attempted to break free several times, but Johnston was too strong. Pulling a syringe out of his pocket, the canine plunged it into the Cerinian's neck. In response, Krystal let out a muffled scream, feeling the fluid inside the needle traveling through her bloodstream.
Breaking free from Johnston's hold, Krystal immediately kicked him in the side. However, she got a slight headache. Something was messing with the cobalt vixen's mind, most likely the liquid that was inside the syringe. Mr. Grizz, the German Shepard, and Johnston smiled at her, slowly coming towards her. Wedge soon joined them, placing a hand on Krystal's shoulder.
"Now you can't use your telepathy." Wedge calmly said.
Upon hearing that, Krystal gasped. How could the four men around her know that she was a telepath? She hadn't encountered any of them before, not even when she had stepped onto Corneria for the first time. Clearly, they weren't just random thugs and perverts. No, there was something else to these men. Even if she couldn't use her telepathy, Krystal could tell that there was something greater going on.
Remembering that files had been stolen from General Pepper's tower, Krystal had a feeling that Mr. Grizz, the German Shepard, Wedge, and Johnston were the thieves. Before she could even question them, they ran at her, planning to tackle her to the ground. Dodging them, the cobalt vixen immediately contacted one of her teammates. When she tried to speak into it, the device got knocked out of her hands. The Cerinian's aggressors began to drag her away, leaving her unable to pick up her communicator.
"Hello?" Fox's voice came out of the device. "Is anyone there?"
"Fox!" Krystal yelled as loud as she could. "I'm being dragged to a muscle car by four creeps! These men are probably the thieves who stole the files from General Pepper! When you see the police, tell them to look for a white muscle -!"
"That's enough out of you, sweetheart." Mr. Grizz darkly said, putting his hand over her mouth.
Before Krystal could retaliate, Johnston tied her arms to her back. The Husky then tied her legs together, preventing her from kicking any of them. Mr. Grizz had already gagged the cobalt vixen with duct tape, muffling her screams. Wedge opened up the trunk of his car, gesturing for his compatriots to stuff their captive in there. Once Krystal was thrown in there, the Bull Terrier picked up her communicator and spoke into it.
"You're not gonna see your little teammate again, McCloud." Wedge said.
Dropping the communicator on the ground, Wedge crushed it under his foot. After that, he joined his friends in the car, taking his seat behind the wheel. They sped away from the Great Fox, intent on avoiding not only Star Fox, but also the police. From inside the trunk, Krystal screamed as loud as she could. The cobalt vixen was desperate to get free, no matter what would happen next. Despite that, she hoped that her teammates, let alone the cops, would be able to catch the men who grabbed her off the streets. For now, the vulpine couldn't do anything but await whatever was going to happen to her.
Note: I wasn't intending to have Krystal get subdued and captured, but I didn't know what to write at first. It looks like the men who caught her know more than they let on. Are they the thieves who stole the files from General Pepper, or are they intelligent, dangerous criminals? Considering how they acted towards Krystal, it's not exactly a mystery to tell what they plan on doing to her. As I have said before, I am not the first person to write Star Fox stories with dark subject matter. I'm just not proud of having Krystal get kidnapped. At least she fought as hard as she could, right?
Until next time, guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off.
