My name is Miguel O Hara and I'm from another earth in the year 2099. I've always known that inter dimensional jumping was possible because rumors were they had been done even in the past but those records were sealed now in my time, but somehow, I found them. King Pin as well as several others after him had done this one way or another, but when the dangers of this travel was discovered all records were sealed and other similar projects stopped. But I found out those records were necessary, to stop a coming evil we had never known.
It was Saturday night and I was swinging home early from patrolling the city as spiderman, passing the alchemax office I no longer worked for when all of a sudden the entire universe around me warped into something else, some place else, a strange place. It was dark, but in the centre of my view was a huge red colored web that seemed to be strung even into the dark skies and emptiness above.
"What,...where?",
Then I heard him
"O'Hara". a voice said,
It sounded normal, almost like a regular person. I looked up, and it was moving towards me, coming down from the web, a figure I hardly made out until it got closer. I was almost frightened
(clears throat)
yes almost
"Who are you.." I asked tensing up for a fight,
"No one that means you harm" the figure said as it got closer, I could now make out it's form as it descended from the web, looked like a man with a face that was behind a creepy metal mask similar to that of the face of a spider with several eyes, he was bare chested like some Greek entity but underneath him was a golden plated device like a spider's legs that hid the rest of him, I couldn't tell if it was a device that he had entered or if it was a part of him.
"My name is the Weaver."
"What is this? Where am I?"
"I will tell you in due time, I was created by the Entity above all to watch over the Multiverse and it's Web of Life".
He turned his head a bit to the side as If he had noticed something then he turned his face back and spoke
"We haven't much time, I know you are wondering what this is and how you got here but you and your world are in danger, as well as the other spider's of the Multiverse."
Ah, so the Multiverse is really real? I thought in my head.
"Why did you bring me here, and what danger are you speaking about could hurt me, my world, and the other spiders?"
"You have always known the Multiverse was real, but I will inform you of the threat that comes from another Universe, one I managed to delay but would soon need your help and the help of others to end..."
"But.."
"Listen carefully, there is no time to ask many questions, there is a danger coming from another Universe, one you have never faced in your life, the danger of beings that only the spider totems have been destined to stop, or be destroyed by them, I had managed to delay them, but one of them would soon escape his binds and come for me, he would defeat me and come for the rest of you in other to free the others that would cause Multiverse wide destruction, your mission is to gather as many spiders as you can, and end his rampage, he will come for you all, and you will face losses, but in the end you can prevail, if you trust my words you can,"
"Ok...whoa whoa...that's a lot of bombs you just dropped, and not even that I understand half..."
"Heed this Miguel, don't immediately tell the others everything I have told you, wait for the right moment, allow them to figure a lot by themselves, then at the right moment tell them all you have heard and seen, but not before then."
"What? How do you expect me to find them in the first place." As I asked this everything around me seemed to fade, even his voice was getting a bit distant but I heard his final words clearly still.
"You are a scientist, find the records of dimensional travel, i know you can, and when you notice a sign of interdimensional breaching then you know that the time is right to make your move, Godspeed spiderman"
"Wait, I..."
Suddenly everything changed and I found myself still swinging on the rope I last held before appearing at that place,
"What the..."
I almost let go but I grabbed on tightly and landed on a roof nearby, I quickly removed my mask to look around, I was really back in Nueva York even though seconds ago I was in another place. Surprised and confused by what I saw I asked my self.
