Chapter:17 Opening Up
"That guy was a wuss," Red said as he and his team came out of their latest class with their friends taking another route. Their class was a sparring match as Red finally let out a bit of steam along with his friends so they could be ready for the upcoming tournament, but the last fight didn't wasn't that grandeur.
"I don't know, that Mercury guy give me some bad vibes, like really bad vibes," Green said as she has a serious look on her face.
"Maybe it's something different," Said a completely fine Yellow as she adjust her hat a bit.
"We should move on to more serious topics," Blue said as he then look to his team. "Like the dance."
"Oh yeah! I'm gonna rock that party," Green said in excitement but both Red and Yellow didn't share her enthusiasm. She noticed this and said. "What's wrong."
"Red barely interact with anyone, he especially hate parties since most actually knows him and avoided him," Blue said as Green was shocked by this.
"I guess they are still scared from that incident," Red said with a frown as Yellow grabbed his wrist so she could give him a sense of comfort.
"Well you're gonna enjoy this one, because we are gonna party like there's no tomorrow," Green said as she skips ahead in glee while Blue let out a sigh.
"I'm going to keep an eye on her," Blue said but he quickly look back to Red. "Just try and go to the party Red, it would be good for you."
"Yeah okay," Red said as Blue then left which only leave him and Yellow.
Yellow look to her partner and asked, "You okay?"
"No, not really," He said as he wasn't too keen for the upcoming party.
"Blue is right you know," Yellow said as she gently grab his arm. "You don't have to worry about others thinking about your past, we are there for you."
Red smiled and said, "Thanks Yellow."
"No problem," She said as she then noticed that she was still holding his arm and she began to blush. "We should go."
Red just laughs and said, "If you say so."
The two then left as time continues to pass by.
"So its just the two of us?" Green asked as she was currently laying on her bed while she and Yellow are currently in their dorm room. The boys decided to go out for a while, something about their friends coming, which only leaves the two girl alone in their room.
"Pretty much," Yellow said as she was currently reading one of her books.
Green let out a hum as she then sit up and faced Yellow with a sly smile that confuses the young blonde.
"So...?"
"So what?" Yellow asked as Green smile grew even bigger.
"So Red huh?" Green said as Yellow grew shock and a massive blush appeared on her face as the young blonde tried to cover it up with her book. Green laughs at this as she stands up and approaches Yellow. "Come on Yellow don't be shy."
"I-Its nothing really," Yellow said as she stutters a bit but Green clearly see through it.
"But I clearly didn't see it like that," Greem said teasingly as Yellow moved her book closer to her face.
"Come on Green," Yellow pleaded for the brunette to stop but Green was adamant.
"You have a crush on him~!" Green said teasingly as Yellow slams her book shut with a massive blush on her face.
"Green!" Yellow shouted in embarrassment as Green just laughs, much to the blonde's dismay.
"Who would know? Our resident Faunus has a crush on our leader~"
"Stop already!" Green keeps laughing as Yellow had to yell out her frustration on her pillow. Surely enough, Green began to calm down a bit but she was still amused when she saw the massive blush on Yellow's face.
"Like seriously thou, you should ask him as your partner for the dance," Green said as Yellow shyly look away. "Come on Yellow, you can tell him."
"I-I don't know," Yellow said with doubt.
"You don't have to be afraid. You just have to walk up to him and say it," Green assures her teammate.
"W-What if I can't Green?" Yellow questions as Green now clearly see the amount of doubt Yellow currently has by just looking at her eyes.
Green got off her bed as she then sits by Yellow and said, "You might not see it but you are braver than you think."
"I don't think I'm that brave," Yellow admitted but Green placed a hand on the blonde's shoulder.
"But what matters is in there," Green said as she points to Yellow's chest. "Out of the four of us, you clearly have the biggest heart in the team. Your courage came from how you see the good in almost everything. That's what matters."
Yellow smiled from the brunette's encouragement that she actually feels her doubt going away.
"I'll try," Yellow said with a bit of conviction.
"Alright, let's get you a dress. You do have one right?" Green asked as Yellow avoided making eye contact with the older girl as Green just let out a sigh. "Then let's go shop for one, and I will make sure that Red will be in awe when he sees you."
Green then drag Yellow out of their room, adamant to have Yellow go to that party with Red.
Meanwhile, Red and Blue are waiting in the school's courtyard while the cap wearing teen was lost in thought.
"Still nervous about the dance?" Blue asked as Red just lets out a groan.
"I can't really help it, I haven't gotten a happy moment in a single dance in my life," Red said as he just look up to the sky, a frown on his face. "I'm not scared about the party, I'm scared if I'm just gonna stand there like a loner."
"So you just need a date?" Blue said as Red just sighs.
"Not exactly, I don't think I'm ready for that type of relationship. A friend maybe, but I don't think that they are available."
"Well there should be someone that would ask, I already got someone," Blue said as Red look at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Really? You already got someone for the party?"
"It's Green and she did it a bit forcefully," Blue said as Red let out a chuckle.
"She probably did it to annoy you more," He said as Blue crossed his arms.
"She said what you have said to my face," Red then began to laugh at this while Blue grumbles, Red eventually stopped laughing as he continues to look at the sky.
"So am I going alone or ask someone for the dance?" Red asked.
"It's all up to you but I think there's one person that you could ask," Blue said as Red looked confused.
"Really who?" Red asked as his friend just rolled his eyes.
"Yellow," Red blinks when he heard this.

...
"EHHH!!" Red yelled in shock as Blue was unfazed by this. "Seriously?! Why do you think Yellow would go out with me?!"
Blue has to hit him for that as he waits for Red to calm down a bit and said, "She really cares about you like genuinely care. She always been with your side since our team was formed and have looked up to you."
"It's not like I hate it, it's just..." Red then groans as he placed his head on his hands and screamed on them. He then lean forward with a hesitant look on his face. "I really don't want to hurt her but I'm scared that I couldn't contain my Semblance and go berserk. I train to have some control over it but I really only made a bit of progress."
Blue began to sympathize with Red yet his face didn't really show it as he just sigh instead.
"If you keep that up, you would hurt Yellow in a different way," Blue said as Red look at his friend. "If she sees you like this, she would try and help, but if you won't try and just avoid her because of it then you would only hurt her emotionally."
Red was now conflicted as he just clenched his fists in anger and just wanted to hit something to vent it.
"Being angry only makes it worse," Blue as he placed a hand on his friend's back to getbhis attention. "You always let your emotion out so freely, if you want to properly control it then don't let it control you. I know that you didn't want it to happen but I know you can control it now, things have changed Red and you need to let go of that fear."
Red slowly calms down as he listens carefully to his close friend's words and thought about it.
"Just think about it okay, if you still do, I'll greet the others when they arrive," Blue said as he then left to leave Red with his thoughts.
'Why do I feel this way?' He thought as he remembered his time with his team. In a small amount of time, he really feels that he was already friends with them for a long time. As if a part of him felt relaxed when he is by their side but his fear slowly grew when the part of his past began to seep through his mind after a long time, especially when Yellow is around.
He would always look to her direction countless times and it really confuses him till he began to think about it more, then what Blue said to him made him fear the possibility. But his friend was right, it's all in the past and he should take one step forward.
A small step but it was progress.
Somewhere in Beacon, Yellow is pacing back and forth nervously.
"Okay you got this Yellow, you have the dress and you just have to ask Red," She said a hundred times already but she was still anxious from the thought of it.
She then stomps her feet in frustration as she tosses her hat on the floor and ruffled her hair.
"Come on! I can do this! You just have to ask him! Ask him about the dance! But the possibilities!"
"Ask who exactly?" Yellow then froze as she looked behind her to see Miss Goodwitch standing there with a raised eyebrow. "Well?"
Yellow then nervously laugh as she knew that she couldn't escape from this, especially when the woman knew her too much.
And that is it for that chapter!
I bit rushed but who could blame me? I have little experience with crushes and relationships because mine were pretty much one-sided and I stop caring about it for a long time now. The only thing that helped are the other stories that I read and I got a some proper understanding about it.
On another note, I have a ton of ideas for next chapter and I really can't to make it. There is gonna be some original and added moments here and there and I am really trying to fit them all in. There is so much things that I have thought for this story and I really can't wait to add them in their respective chapters.
I'm not doing the dance immediately, I would need to develop their feelings then I would do it. I also might do the first omake on the next chapter.
But for now, I think it's time I end it here and I'll see you guys in the next chapter.
