I don't own twilight. What I own is my character's, personality, background, and the plot of my story.

Author's Note at the end.

"Are you sure you are ready?" She asks raising an eyebrow. Now that she is back to her senses, she is angry. How dare he bombard her about meeting Cece and drive her up the wall for a meet up only to get cold feet last minute?

He nods his head and then tells her, "Sorry for making you wait. I was being stupid."

She stands up and crosses her arms across her chest then tells him, "Let's make one thing clear. I am not your emotional support animal. Next time before you commit to something concerning my daughter, make sure you are ready."

He stands up straighter and tells her, "I am ready. That was just performance anxiety."

She glares at him and says, "We will see," then she turns away from him and softened her voice before calling, "Cece, coming here, darling. My friend has arrived."

"Our daughter," Edward whispers quietly as they wait for Cece to go down the slide before coming their way.

"What?"

"She is our daughter. She is my daughter too. I might not know as much as you do, but I love her as much as a father would," Edward tells her in a serious tone.

"Sure," she tells him in a neutral tone and then turns away to look at Cece. She doesn't know if what happened is a good thing or a bad thing. Edward can be extremely attached to things and people, and when a perceived slight happens against the person he cares for, he goes all out. It's a good thing for her to have him in Cece's corner, but it could also turn into him becoming paranoid, territorial and potentially perceiving her as the threat against Cece. If that happens, he will become her worst enemy. If there is anyone that can get a judge to reverse a termination of parental rights, it's Edward.

Cece walks towards them and once she spots Edward, she starts running until she hits his feet. "I thought I will never see you again. Where have you been Eddie?" She demands at the end looking up at him.

He bends down and picks her up then hugs her as he tells her, "I missed you too."

"I didn't say that I missed you. I said that I thought that I will never see you again," Cece reprimands him for assuming that she misses him.

"I am sorry for assuming that you miss me, Miss Cece, please forgive me," he tells her giving her puppy eyes and blinking for good measures.

Cece taps her finger against her chin pretending to think for a minute and finally tells him, "Fine, but only if you push me on the swings."

"Yes ma'am," he says loudly as he salutes her. Bella blinks away tears at what she just saw. It's not enough that they look so much alike, the lips, eyes, chin, and grin. They also just did the same move less than an hour apart.

Bella follows Edward as he carries Cece to the swings and places her on one of the swings then stands behind her and starts pushing. She leans on one of the beams of the swing and then closes her eyes and listens to the sound around her. She finds Edward's constant checks on Cece in the first two minutes endearing. Edward can be really caring when he wants to be. She listens to the sound of the wind the swing makes as it pierces through the air. Slowly, it starts getting faster and shorter. Cece's giggles get louder, too loud for her taste.

She opens her eyes and finds Edward still pushing Cece and the swing getting higher than she would like. "Edward, please slow down a little bit. This isn't safe."

"Let me have fun mummy. I am big enough to handle this high," Cece yells over the sound of the swing.

Edward turns to her and tells her with a wolfish grin, "Yes mummy, let her have fun."

Right as Edward finishes his statement, something wrong seems to happen and all of a sudden Cece finds herself soaring through the air before she falls to the ground.
