Transformers Prime: A New Adventure.
Chapter 24: Optimus Gets A Surprise.
In the Autobot base, everyone was gathered around the medical bay, and for what, that was about to be discovered by Optimus Prime himself when he returns to base for an Energon mine debriefing.
Outside the base, Optimus was driving closer to the mountain.
Optimus mentally questioned, "Why is Ratchet and everyone else in the base going radio silent? Something urgent must be happening in the base to require everyone's attention."
Optimus enters the base and transforms to robot mode.
Optimus sees Fortressimus standing at the door to the medical bay.
Optimus questions as he approaches the Guardian Knight, "Fortressimus, what has happened?"
Fortressimus answers with a smile on his face, "Optimus, you ain't going to believe this, but Optima is sparked."
Optimus' optics widened in shock, and he looked speechless.
Optimus mentally questions again, "Optima Prime, my femme counterpart and sister in all but C.N.A., Energon, and name, is sparked?!"
Fortressimus states while leading the way to the medical bay, "Come and see for yourself."
Optimus numbly nods and follows Fortressimus to the medical bay.
Optimus looks to see Optima on a medical berth, happily looking at the x-ray scans of her inner chestplate.
Optimus looks at the x-ray scans and his jaw drops in shock.
Optimus composes himself and asks, "Is this true, Optima?"
Optima answers, "Yes, Optimus, it is true, but the thing is that this wasn't noticeable until after we recruited Blowwolf."
Optimus looks pensive before nodding in understanding.
Optimus comes up and hugs Optima, shocking everyone in the medical bay, including Ratchet.
The reason why even Ratchet was shocked is because ever since the day the Great War began, Optimus almost never showed his emotions to anyone, even his parents and other relatives.
Ackas Pax comes up and says, "Optimus, what do you think we should do to keep this a secret from the Decepticons?"
Optimus looks at his mother and answers, "I do not know as of now, Mother, but perhaps the Primes within the Matrix of Leadership can provide an answer."
Fortressimus interjects, "No need; I already came up with the easiest solution: using a non-sparked clone of Optima to throw the Decepticons off our trails so Ratchet and the rest of our medics can keep progress of her pregnancy."
Optimus looks pensive again before replying, "Very well. Proceed, Fortressimus."
Fortressimus nods before taking out his Cloning Gun and saying, "Be advised, Optima, the cloning beam is gonna tickle a bit."
Optima nods and Fortressimus pulls the trigger after putting in the correct settings and modifying the gun to make sure Optima Prime's pregnancy is omitted from the cloning beam.
The cloning beam envelops Optima, and she struggles to contain her laughter as she did indeed feel the cloning beam tickling her armor's sensitive spots a bit.
After the cloning beam recedes, a clone of Optima in green, yellow, blue, red, black, and gray appears in front of the medical berth.
Fortressimus asks, "Chronogaze, how do you feel?"
Chronogaze answers, "Surprisingly, I feel good without being sparked."
Everyone laughs good-naturedly at that, even Optimus.
Later, in the command center, Fortressimus was communicating with Rainplay over the base's commlinks.
Fortressimus questions, "Say again? You found an Energon mine?"
Rainplay answers, "Yes, soldier, in the location known as the Schwarzwald Black Forest in the southwest sector of the country called Germany, on the border between Germany and France."
Fortressimus replies before switching frequencies, "Understood. (Line clicking twice) Attention, all available Autobots within 10 mega miles of this message: Rainplay and five of our comrades have found an Energon mine in southwest Germany. Rendezvous at the Space Bridge and prepare for transport."
About one-sixth of the Autobot forces rendezvoused at the base, with another three-thirty-third of the forces coming up just one minute behind the original numbers.
It took a bit of effort because of the Decepticon Medics on hand for the Miners, but the Autobots managed to claim the Energon and the corpses of Miners and Medics alike, but without any of Optimus or Optima's units knowing about it. Yet.
And pretty soon, the next three weeks gone past in the near future would be the start of the War for Earth.
