I don't own twilight. What I own is my character's, personality, background, and the plot of my story.

Bella splashes water against her face and then shivers as the cold water hits her and yet splaches it again. She needs to get rid of the redness or at least decrease it. Bella looks at herself in the mirror. Her eyes aren't as red as she expected them to be, but the rest of her face is a lost case.

She quickly gets to work and starts applying foundation and concealer to get rid of the redness, and then because she is a child of the internet, she googles how to hide red eyes with make up which tells her that she needs to hydrate her skin, so she removed the foundation and concealer to hydrate it before reapplying them again.

She uses an eyedrop on both eyes, and then applies a navy eyeliner, mascara, and highlighter to the inner corner of her eyes. Once done, she looks herself in the mirror and then takes a deep breath that puffs out her chest, before she squares her shoulders, straighten her back, and heads for the door.

She hears the sound of Cece and Edward's laughter from the top of the stairs. She carefully walks down the stairs worried that she will trip like she did going up.

"I see some people are having fun without me," she states making her entrance known.

Both Edward and Cece look up at the same moment with identical expression mid laugh. If only Edward wasn't a such a shit head, she would be too used to this sight to have it pull at her heart strings.

"Bella are you okay?" Edward asks with concern as he gets off the floor and walks toward her until they are inches apart.

"Do I not look okay?" she asks anxiously as her sight fleets around the room looking for a mirror. She looked just fine before she left, but if Edward is asking then something must have changed since she left the bathroom.

"No, but Cece was just telling me that you choked on a piece of lasagna," he response. She looks at Cece for confirmation who nods her head then goes back to furiously drawing in the sketch pad on the ground.

Bella laughs nervously as she internally sighs in relief and then waves him off as she answers, "I am fine. You know how it's like with food. One minute you are putting something in your mouth and the next, it goes down the wrong pipe, but not on my watch. I am not ready to die yet."

"Are you sure you are okay Bella? You sound weird," he tells her with a frown and she holds her hand behind her back to stop herself from smoothing the frown. God, she is pathetic. All she needs is for him show an ounce of worry over her for her to be taken back to when they were together.

She shoves her feeling down then crosses her arms and raises an eyebrow in challenge. He raises his hand sin resignation then tells her, "Okay I get it. I will shut up."

"Thank you," she tells him and then heads to the kitchen but pauses when he calls her name, "I got cinnamon rolls from the bakery near campus that you love. Is it okay?"

Bella keeps her back to him as a big smile stretches across her face and she tells him in a nonchalant voice, "It will do."

Bella smiles while looking around her. Everyone is having fun and enjoying themselves. Emelia's Cinnamon rolls even tasted better than she remembers.

She spots Rosalie walking down the stairs and smiles at her when she sees the relief on her face. "She is finally asleep."

"Yay," Bella tells her then stands up and hands her her plate of cinnamon roll and her cup of coffee. "I only took a bite from mine. That way we can have ours together. They on the other hand devoured theirs," she finishes with a nod toward the brothers.

"You call this a bite Bella?" Emmet asks her sarcastically.

She turns to glare at him and answers, "There is more than half of it. That counts as a bite in my book."

"At least she waited to me while I put our daughter to sleep, unlike someone I know," Rosalie tells Emmett which shuts him up before turning to Bela and telling her, "Thanks."

"You're welcome," Bella replies sweetly at her and then looks around to make sure none of the kids are in the room then sticks her tongue out at Emmett.

Edward and Rosalie start laughing when Emmett starts pouting.

Rosalie moans out as she takes a bite from the cinnamon roll and chews before asking Bella, "Where did you get this from?"

Bella just smiles and points at Edward which makes Rosalie make a double take. "Why have you been holding on me Edward?" Rosalie demands.

Edward shrugs and tells her, "It's this place Bella used to love in uni."

Rosalie nods her head and gives him a thumbs up and takes another bite. "Emmett, I think I am leaving you and the kids for this," Rosalie states with a mouth full while pointing at the roll.

"You're leaving me with three kids! Please don't. They will eat me alive. Take me with you," Emmett exclaims dramatically and then quickly gets to his knees in front of Rosalie and makes the motion of begging. Edward and Bella share a look as they laugh at the dramatic tug of war happening in front of them.

"You know, you didn't need to abstain from drinking just because I am," Edward states as he helps her gather the plates in the living room. Rosalie and Emmett left with their kids 10 minutes ago and Edward insisted that he will stay back and help her clean up before leaving.

Bella waves him off and states, "It's nothing. I like to keep a clear head whenever Cece is under my roof. You never know when an emergency happens and you need to drive to the hospital."

"Don't you have Angela around?" he asks.

Bella carries the plates to the kitchen as she answers him, "I prefer to drive Cece when I am around."

"But you let me drive you when Cece hurt herself in my parent's backyard," He replies.

She gives him a quick look before she returns to washing the dishes. "It was a one time thing. I wasn't about to pivk a fight with you infront of everyone and waste time when Cece's health is on the line."

"So you never drink?" he asks pausing in his movement.

"Sometimes I do on the weekends Cece is with Dad, or Marco," She replies looking back and trying to judge the expression on his face.

"About that," Edward states walking toward her, "How is this thing with Marco working out?"

"Are you judging?" Bella asks him with the same tone he used.

He shakes his head as he places the tea cups in the sink and tells her, "Not at all. It's just that the arrangement is, what's the word?" he asks himself looking deep in thought. "Unusual. It's unusual. I am just surprised. That's why I am asking."

"And you think that introducing my six years old daughter to the person who gave up his parental rights is usual?" she asks back with an eyebrow raised.

"Touchè."

She takes a bottle of mineral water out of the fridge and tells him as she walks to the living room, "It's not that complicated Edward. We sat together like adults and figured everything out to the smallest details. It wasn't easy, but we both love Cece a lot and we would do anything for her. Marco didn't want to be cut out of Cece's life, and I didn't want Cece to lose someone who has been integral to her upbringing."

After she drinks water, she caps the bottle and places it on the coffee table as she gets a serious look on her face. "Edward, we need to talk."

At the serious look on her face, he straightens up and nods his head. "For the last two months, you have been agreeable to how I plan everything. I appreciate that you are giving me full control over how introducing you to Cece will play out, by I can't help but feel like the only reason you are doing that is because you don't want to do any of the work or handle the responsibility."
