Transformers Prime: A New Adventure.

Chapter 33: Fusepowder.

In space, just outside of the gravity of Saturn, an Autobot lieutenant by the name of Reaperfall was flying in his space jet mode to Earth after entering the solar system.

In his slow flight to Earth while conserving Energon, he slowly but surely learned all there is to know about Earth while making up his own opinions for potential debates in the future.

Suddenly, Reaperfall detects a Decepticon signal coming from behind him at 235 miles per hour, having detected his signal.

Reaperfall moves out of the way in time just as a red, black, yellow, and purple Decepticon Seeker zooms past him.

Reaperfall accelerates to Earth at hyper speed and the moment he enters Earth's atmosphere, he decelerates in order to decrease the entry friction.

Reaperfall then says into his commlink, "Reaperfall to any Autobots on Planet Earth, I'm being pursued by a Decepticon Flier bent on my destruction! I need reinforcements and repairs from the friction of entry with Earth's atmosphere!"

In the Autobot base, Ratchet and Blow Saber were working on the scanners when they received the transmission.

Ratchet calls out, "Optimus!"

Optimus Prime comes up and asks, "What is it, old friend?"

Ratchet answers, "We just picked up a distress signal transmission from an Autobot Flier entering Earth's atmosphere."

Ratchet plays the transmission and Reaperfall's voice says, "Reaperfall to any Autobots on Planet Earth, I'm being pursued by a Decepticon Flier bent on my destruction! I need reinforcements and repairs from the friction of entry with Earth's atmosphere!"

Optimus states, "Blow Saber, assemble your main squadron quickly. I will go myself and I need you and your squadron on standby if I need reinforcements."

Blow Saber nods.

Optimus Ground Bridges himself to the coordinates before taking off in his jet mode.

Optimus eventually spots Reaperfall and calls out, "Autobot Flier, identify yourself!"

Reaperfall questions before answering, "Optimus?! It's me, Reaperfall!"

Optimus questions in shock before questioning again, "Reaperfall?! What's going on?"

Reaperfall answers, "I came to Earth as an advancement guard for any additional Autobot reinforcements, but then that Decepticon Flier forced me to come to Earth faster!"

The Decepticon Flier shows up and transforms to robot mode before slamming his hammer on Optimus.

But Optimus expertly dodges out of the way before transforming to his more or less permanent Beast Hunters robot mode and taking out his own replica of the Hammer of Primus the size of Solus Prime's Forge.

Optimus swings his hammer at the Decepticon Flier and the swinging hit is blocked by the Flier's own hammer the size of a utility hammer wielded by a Cybertronian.

The electrical shockwaves push outward by the impact, and Optimus struggles to get one up on the Flier.

Optimus snarls, "Stand down, Decepticon!"

The Decepticon Flier replies while revealing his name, "Steelblight surrenders to no Autobots!"

Steelblight flares a flash bang grenade at Optimus, but Optimus disengages and looks away in time while simultaneously firing a missile from his back at the flash bang grenade.

The flash bang grenade explodes with the missile, blinding Steelblight and blowing him away.

Reaperfall comes up and asks, "Who was that?"

Optimus answers, "He identifies himself as Steelblight. I remember him from somewhere."

Optimus jolts as his memory of Steelblight comes back to him: Steelblight was one of his former bullies in the Cybertron War Academy before Optimus became an Energon Miner.

Optimus states, "Before I was an Energon Miner, I was one of Steelblight's targets for bullying in the Cybertron War Academy."

Reaperfall frowns at that as he transforms to robot mode.

Optimus then says, "Come, let me take you to our base."

Optimus pulls out Fortressimus Prime's Ground Bridge/Space Bridge remote and the two Autobots are transported to the Autobot base.

In the base, Fortressimus questions, "So, this is our newest Flier?"

Optimus answers, "Yes, Fortressimus. This is Reaperfall."

Fortressimus says, "Well, welcome aboard, soldier."

Reaperfall replies as he and Fortressimus shake servos, "It's a real honor, sir."

Just then, Jack comes up, and Reaperfall questions, "So, this is a human?"

Ratchet answers, "Yes. This is Jack Darby."

In no time, Reaperfall got along well with the Autobot army posted at Autobot Outpost Omega One.

But then, Optimus questions, "Reaperfall, do you know of any Autobots that will be coming to Earth?"

Reaperfall thinks hard for a second before answering, "Well, some of the ones with names will be coming to the planet monthly while the others with and without names will be rebuilding our army to come to Earth en masse."

Optimus looks shocked.

Meanwhile, on the Nemesis, Speedgazer says while giving Steelblight a tour of the ship, "It's very fortunate you were able to escape the Autobots without being seen by any more of their forces and without being seen by any humans."

Steelblight answers, "Yes, and I can tell you wish to know my history with Optimus Prime."

Speedgazer replies before saying, "As a matter of fact, I do. So please, enlighten me."

Steelblight answers, "Well, in the Cybertron War Academy, I was one of the greatest students around. Until I encountered little Orion Pax. He was my favorite target to torment. But then, one day, when I may or may not have made a snide comment about his mother being too old to continue training in gladitorial combat, Orion got so angry that he pulverized me and exposed my actions to the teachers of the academy. I was expelled. And I vowed revenge on him, but when he was sent to work in the Energon mines, I couldn't get to him because he and the other miners were tight-knit and protected each other from potential enemies. When he was set free to work in the Iacon Hall of Records, I couldn't get to him either because the Halls were closely guarded. But when Lord Megatron made his declaration of war, I immediately signed up and my first mission was to destroy Optimus Prime on the day of the Siege of the Hydrax Plateau. After Prime killed Drixco, I took Prime by surprise. He instantly recognized me and tried to kill me. The way he fought me made it clear that even though he regretted killing Drixco without asking for his name, he wouldn't hesitate to kill me just to settle old scores no matter what his parents or Alpha Trion taught him about justice and revenge. And then, when Stakeface failed to destroy Prime at the Battle of Technahar, Lord Megatron made it clear that he wanted no one other than himself to have the honor and pleasure of destroying Optimus Prime once and for all. Can't say I was happy with that order, but I'd rather die serving Lord Megatron than die by getting on his bad side just for the sake of settling scores with Optimus Prime."

Speedgazer replies, "I see. Well, we'll benefit greatly from having you on our side. And with you being a Flier, our aerial forces have increased just that much."
