Transformers Prime: A New Adventure.
Chapter 34: New Neutrals Arrive.
(First person POV...)
I literally hated the fact we've been Neutrals for this long while trying to avoid Decepticons and stock up on Energon.
I'm Driveterror.
Lately, me and my allies by the names of Warblaster, Streetscare, Windclash, Thunderbust, Knockdead, Hotwild, Wideglide, Lazertop, Flightfight, Geartop, Helibuster, Topscraps, Rumbledealer, Meteorvolt, Ragebot, Bulkway, Twinclash, Shocksling, Buzzclash, Hammerwire, and Torrentcrusher have been scouring the galaxy for the planet Earth to find the Autobots and join them.
Granted, they might be skeptical, but they'll probably show appreciation for the weapons and tools our ship has to offer.
And besides, me and my friends, along with 2,987 others who are sadly one with the Allspark, we all made a mistake in becoming Neutrals when we had the chance to join the Autobots, no matter what kind of consequences we would go on to discover later in life the hard way. But for their memory, for my remaining friends, we're going to make sure that we don't make the same mistake twice.
Anyway, we were piloting our ship close to the Earth's singular moon when the ship's computer alerted us by saying, "Alert! Alert! Decepticon warship Nemesis detected in orbit of the planet Earth."
Warblaster bemoans, "Oh, great. At this rate, it's only a matter of time before we get shot down and end up crash landing."
One of our Red Sentinels replies, "Have faith, ma'am; we already sent out a coded signal to the Autobot base for pickup. Now it's only a matter of time before they reply and – "
Suddenly, the computer beeps and Optimus Prime's voice says, "Autobot ship, verify identification."
I answered, "Optimus Prime, this is Driveterror of the Autobot Star-Thunder class battle ship Hannibal Lancaster. Me and my Neutral comrades have come to this solar system to join your Autobot army."
Optimus questions, "You are Neutrals who wish to join us?"
I answered again, "Yes, not only to make up for my dead friends' refusal to join your army during the War for Cybertron, but also to honor their memory and to ensure that nobody else, Autobots or Neutrals, would ever suffer the consequences for making such a dumb choice ever again."
Optimus then says, "Please send a crew manifest for your ship."
I answered as Helibuster did so, "Sending crew manifest now."
After a few moments, Optimus states, "We are sending landing coordinates now. Have a safe journey, Driveterror."
The line clicks and we started preparing for landing and preparing for when the Decepticons onboard the Nemesis discover us.
(Earth, Jasper, Nevada, Autobot headquarters, third person POV...)
In the Autobot base, Skyheart, Nightgear, Leowing, Afterfang, Inofin, Pikblade, Zarcore, Jet-Q, Oderzi, Killgan, Vixenswift, Ironette, Iron Jacket, Bluechrome, Hard Aid, Ultrawire, Nova-Senshi, Ryu-Strike, Shadowsteel, Griphunter, Quickeyes, Razorslayer, Nightdraw, Calmmind, Augmentstorm, Stellar, Solarshock, Codeflare, Soundmender, Valorbreaker, Hardfront, Runburner, Streakburner, Flashwar, Breakwind, Mendfronter, Chargerunner, Shockroad, Shadestreaker, Doombreaker, Shadowsayer, Stormstreaker, Shadenight, Lightwind, Novawarp, Starcracker, Acidwarp, Ionwarp, Galaxyburst, Windceptor, Paragon, Crossup, Steelbrace, Spinheader, Depthbomb, Snowfarer, Windsign, Callswept, Omega Light, Lightmorning, Metaljaw, Strongsound, Steelarm, Violet Pax, Apollowind, Breaktail, Reddancer, Mooncap, Echofire, Starlock, Rockheap, Scrapbreak, Coalpoint, Pinjack, Siren Saber, Blackshot, Nitro Out, Hold Flight, Foulshade, Nightstreaker, Fastmark, Star Slice, Stormslice, Locustwark, Bulbeam, Crashlane, Swerve Dive, Chainqueen, Bright Hawk, Black Protector, Dark Moreau, Dark Blitz, Dark Griffin, Platinum Glider, Gypsy Rider, Gold Blade, Aqua Beam, Thorn Arrow, Sky Missile, Black Dancer, War Force, Titanium Speeder, Bioelectronik, Chalice Healer, Iron Flux, Alpha Comms, Motherboard Unit, Intelligence Man, Authoritive Figure, Cybernaut, Electronic Brain, Hardbreaker, Hard Drive, Hi-Tech, Smart Wire, Mecha Gold, Human Mind, Linkage, Macro Man, Pico Bite, Mega Pico, Power Hurt, Red Peace, Cameo Blast, Dark Laser, Super Stalker, Nocturnal Fist, Pink Kick, Rushing Claw, Immortal Scorpion, Great Dragon, Bumblebee, Arcee, Bulkhead, Cliffjumper, Tailgate, Shadowguard, and Optimus Prime stood ready at the Space Bridge as Ratchet prepared it for use.
Ratchet states, "Space Bridge is cycling up."
Suddenly, the base sensors went off as the Space Bridge opened.
Blow Saber advised, "Be warned, several hundred Decepticon scout ships are following Driveterror's ship."
Optimus calls out, "Autobots, roll out!"
At the same time that the humans activated their watches to summon their Iron Man style battle suits, the Autobots transformed to their vehicle and beast modes, and they all drove, flew, and ran to their destination, which was none other than the historic ghost town known as Arcola, Alabama in Hale County, Alabama.
In the ghost town, the Autobots and the auxiliary members of the Iron Legion stood at attention after the Autobots transformed to robot mode to prepare for battle.
Optimus states, "Autobots, Iron Legion, be ready for anything."
Arcee questions, "I don't get it. Why would an assortment of Neutrals want to join our cause?"
Skyheart answers, "Not every Neutral wants to stay a Neutral for long, Arcee. In some cases, specific Neutrals would actually want to join the side with the most numbers, the most resources for hospitality, and the most amounts of Energon. And in this case, which side Driveterror and her crew will be joining with those advantages remains to be seen."
Arcee huffs with an angry pout.
Bulkhead then says before asking, "I don't get it either. This Driveterror, we don't know anything about them. How can we be sure that they and their crew can be trusted?"
Leowing answers, "The only way we can be sure is if they willingly join our cause without complaints or needing to excessively ask questions, along with providing our team additional numbers and resources that we can easily use and along with showing a desire to end the war through any means available to us within limits because of the fact that all Autobots and Neutrals turning to the Autobot cause are guests."
Bulkhead looks away skeptically.
Cliffjumper then questions, "What do you think the Hannibal Lancaster ship can give us?"
Pikblade answers, "Aside from another ship capable of transporting a large number of our forces to Cybertron with and without a Space Bridge of our own? Who knows?"
Optimus replies before pointing upward on the starboard bow, "We will find out soon enough, because here comes the Hannibal Lancaster."
Sure enough, the 20 feet wide and 15 feet long Autobot battle ship shaped like a combination of the Jackhammer and the Iron Will appears while being pursued by Decepticon scout ships attempting to shoot it down.
Optimus states, "Those Neutrals could use some help. Aerialbots, Fliers, take to the air and disable those scout ships!"
The Aerialbots stop dead in their tracks as Smart Wire states, "No need; I'm already disabling the weapons and computer systems of the scout ships."
The scout ships are forced to land safely by Smart Wire's hacking abilities.
About 497 Vehicon Troopers and 497 Vehicon Jets disembark from the scout ships, only to be hacked into by the gadgeteer Iron Legion members to become Autobot Vehibot Troopers and Vehibot Fliers.
The deployment ramp from the Hannibal Lancaster opens and Driveterror and her troops disembark, shellshocked by the prospect that Vehicons of different kinds can easily be reprogrammed.
Optimus then approaches Driveterror, noticing that she's a Grounder who transforms into a Cybertronian version of a military armored car.
Optimus states before asking, "You must be Driveterror. You and your crew wish to join the Autobots?"
Driveterror and her forces nod in unison.
Optimus then holds out his servo and says, "Welcome to the Autobots, Driveterror."
The twosome shakes servos.
In the Autobot base, Ratchet states, "Well, this is certainly a big change, but not unwelcome."
In no time, the former Neutrals got along well with their new Autobot comrades, especially after finding out that the Autobot base and the other 900 Autobot bases all across the world have all the different amenities that even the Nemesis has and doesn't have.
And after getting acclimated to the various terrains of Earth after scanning Earth-based vehicle modes, Driveterror and her crew literally grew to appreciate and love the planet Earth.
After about three days, Driveterror and her troops learned all there is about Earth, not just history, religion, science, and other school subjects, but also the various forms of fictional entertainment.
Driveterror was also aghast alongside her crew when they found out that Fortressimus, his troops, and other allies all the way to Blowwolf were from another universe where the Transformers race and all affiliated allies, enemies, and frenemies of Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, and Predacons alike were all fictional. But they accepted it, if only because their intel on the future if used properly can ensure the end of the war and make sure that no other Decepticons left over from the war or imprisoned onboard prison ships like the Alchemor would try to take Megatron's place as leader of the Decepticons. have the guts and the nerve to take up the arms they need to not only take Megatron's place if he ever goes offline or if he ever goes permanently comatose, but also to disrupt the peace between Autobots and Decepticons to start a second Great War.
Of course, the transformatted humans from Fortressimus Prime to Blowwolf purposefully neglected to tell everyone in the base about Megatron's final fate in Predacons Rising, not just to avoid being interrogated about how it can be possible to happen, but also to avoid violent debating about whether or not Megatron's chronological change of heart should happen and to avoid the possibility of any Autobot in Megatron's mind via a cortical psychic patch accidentally revealing anything to Megatron via holo-screens of such memories about debriefings of foreknowledge.
If Driveterror was being honest, she knew that Fortressimus and the others from the Quadwal cluster were all hiding something, but she also knew that rough interrogations are for Decepticons. So, Driveterror decided to roll with the punches just because of the fact that she doesn't want to get kicked out, killed, or imprisoned.
Now, she knew that Autobots don't inflict harm unless every other alternative is exhausted, but she doubted that anyone other than Fortressimus and Forcescream shared Optimus Prime's beliefs about convincing villains to switch to the side of good, no matter what the villains have done.
Driveterror turns to her recording device and says, "Driveterror's log, entry number 23847462910A27162930S29182464850B. We have met up with the Autobots, and their army is much bigger by at least four quadrillion, one thousand, seven hundred and six troops, including natives of Earth clad in suits of armor capable of using Cybertronian and Earthly weapons from different fictional tales used to entertain human children, as well as being capable of flight and capable of controlling the energy outputs of their energy weapons. And the Autobots have increased their ranks by not only reprogramming Decepticon troops with Fortressimus Prime and Corvowing Prime's Weaponizer Mini-Cons, but also by using armies of clones and also by planning a Shadow Clonecon to create an army of Autobot-allied Predacon clones. And about a good portion of Optimus Prime's newest troops are formerly humans from another universe in which the Cybertronian race and all affiliated allies, enemies, and frenemies are all fictional to entertain children. There's more to that, but for convenience's sake, I'll explain each and every detail in every log I make from here on out on Earth. Signing off for tonight."
The End.
(Author's notes: See you all in chapter 35: New Femmes Arrive.)
