I don't own twilight. What I own is my character's behavior, personality, background, and the plot of my story.

Edward runs. He makes some excuse about using the bathroom and flees the scene. He finds the only empty stall and occupies it. He breathes deeply, he fights a panic attack. He doesn't usually have them, but he read once how a panic attack feels like, and he has gotten pretty close to having one in the past.

This is worst than any worst-case scenario he could have thought of, married and with a child. He could have spent the rest of his life torturing himself with scenarios of her moving on and being happy without him, marriage and a child together is not a combo he used, but now that he saw what he did, it makes sense. She is a great person all around, why wouldn't men be interested in starting a family with her and marrying her? She is the marrying kind. The only reason stopping him from proposing was that Bella believed that marrying before the age of 25 was wrong.

It was supposed to be the thing they will have together. When they met she was vehemently against having children. He is the one that encouraged her to want that.

He is the one that made her volunteer for children's charities. He is the one that told her all about soft parenting. He is the one that got her to go to therapy and heal her childhood wound from having a dead mum and a dad that wasn't always around before they even started dating. He did all of that so that she could live their dream with someone else?

She also named the child she had with her husband Cecelia. She used the name they choose together. How could she be that cruel? Did their love not mean anything to her?

No wonder he instantaneously loved her. How could he not love someone that is part Bella? How could he not love someone who would have been half of his child?

No wonder Cece felt very familiar. They have the same nose. They have the same smart-ass attitude. They have the same eye shape. God, even the Eddie calling they have in common too. Bella once told him that she reserves the right to call him Eddie when she wants unless he wants to never call her Bella and call her Isabella instead.

God, this is too much. All of this is too much.

This feels like a reality made up of all of his fears. All of them coming true at once. This is unfair, very unfair. Why should he have to deal with all of that at once? How is he expected to keep his sanity after all of this?

He doesn't. He bears it and keeps moving. After being sure that he will neither hyperventilate, nor vomit, he leaves the stall. He finds the last person he wants to see.

"Hey man, are you okay?" Marco asks kindly. "Yes," Edward huffs out. He is the last person Edward wants to see. It takes everything in him not to glare at Marco.

"If you are sure," Marco tells him as he dries his hands and leaves the bathroom.

How can you go from thinking a guy is cool to hating his guts in thirty minutes?

It's simple. You find out that he married the love of your life.

This thought floats in his head as he splashes water on his face. He is careful to not get the water in his hair. The last thing he needs is for Tanya to start asking questions.

After a couple of minutes spent hyping himself up and telling himself he can do it, he finally leaves the bathroom. He walks around looking for Tanya and finally finds her with Bella and Marco, with their backs to him.

Marco has his hands around her waist, while she rests her head against his shoulder and is wraping her hand around him. She is gently playing with the hair at the back of his neck.

This is too much. I think I am gonna vomit.

He turns around to go back to the bathroom. He is better off spending the rest of the night praying to the white porcelain. He will tell Tanya he had constipation. He would rather tell her that embarrassing lie than deal with the three of them together.

Fat chance. Tanya spots him and calls him over before he can make his exit. He walks towards them reluctantly, dragging his feet on the ground, trying to spend as much time getting there as possible.

He reaches them and wraps his arms around Tanya's waist and kisses her cheek. If his affection with Tanya bothers Bella, she doesn't show it.

"What are guys talking about?" he asks.

"We were talking about you and Tanya," Bella tells him, "the both of you seem to have been together for a long time."

He doesn't make head or tail of her statement. Bella doesn't make comments for no reason. Her statement was a loaded one, but why? He decides to test things for a little bit. Do an experiment, if you will.

He turns towards Tanya and looks into her eyes as he says, "we have been? I don't know about that. Feels like we only met yesterday."

He ends his statement by kissing her boldly, and involves some time for good measures, while all along looking at Bella from beneath his lashes. She is good, very good. But not that good.

She doesn't try to initiate affection with Marco. The expression on her face doesn't change. But the middle finger of the hand around Marco's shoulder twitches. That is her tell-tale sign when angry, or jealous.

One of you guys commented that Cece might be adopted due to the comment she made. I didn't think of that at all while writing this sentence. For some reason that possible foreshadowing escaped my mind. That said, Cece's parental situation is not as cut and dry as it seems.
