I don't own twilight. What I own is my character's behavior, personality, background, and the plot of the story.

Author's Note at the end.

Bella rolls her eyes at the amount of pictures Edward has taken and sent her. Cece and Bella have just returned from the park after meeting him for the first time since she discovered that he is her father.

Aside from telling him, "I still haven't forgiven you," Cece and Edward didn't have any interactions. Cece spent the time running around the play ground while Edward sat beside Bella. Hence the 30 pictures of Cece taken out of boredom.

"Come and get your school bag, Cece. I don't want it lying near the door," Bella yells as she enters the kitchen and starts looking in the fridge for something to make for lunch. She still isn't a good cook. Thankfully, Angela left her some precooked meals in the fridge before she went on her two-week vacation.

She sees Cece pass by the kitchen and go in the opposite direction seconds later. "Dont forget your shoes," Bella reminds.

Cece runs back to the door and returns carrying both things with her. A minute later, she spies Cece coming down the stairs from her bedroom where she put her things, and going into the living room. A few seconds later she hears the TV being turned on.

She opens her mouth to tell her to shut the TV and start on tomorrow's test but decides otherwise. She isn't going to fight her over turning off the TV to study, only to tell her to come and eat five minutes later, and have that fight all over again once they are done eating. Bella would rather have one fight.

Bella ruffles Cece's hair as they finish studying for her test and tells her, "You are getting the hang of it. Now on to your English homework."

Cece nods her head smiling and places her math book in her bag and takes out the English one then flips to the page where the homework is. "We have to write a story. We need to hand it in in five days but I want to do it so I won't forget to do it last minute."

Bella smiles at her and kisses both of her cheeks then tells her, "How did I get so lucky to have such a responsible daughter?"

"You hired Angela," Cece replied cheekily.

"Ha, ha, ha," Bella laughs sarcastically then tells her, "Okay smarty pants, start thinking. I swear this is what I get for always complimenting you."

After thirty minutes, Cece and Bella still find themselves without any ideas. "Mum, you aren't even being helpful," Cece moan out complaining.

"I am," Bella mutters defensively as she pushes a strand of hair behind her ear.

Cece shakes her head and mutters, "No, you aren't even trying."

"I am. Why do you say that?" Bella tells her in frustration.

"Really? a vampire? That's you trying?" Cece demands.

"You know what? If you want someone to help you, call Edward and get him to do that. If my help isn't useful, I am sure you won't miss it," Bella states loudly and sarcastically then gets up and goes to her office.

Bella takes out one of her designs and puts all of her frustration into it. She knows that she shouldn't have lost her cool like that in front of her kid, but she couldn't help it. Bella isn't one of the most creative individuals. Arts? That she is good at it, but coming up with a storyline isn't her forte, and it didn't help that Cece shot down all of her ideas.

She understands Cece's passion for school. She fostered that in her. She isn't unhappy with her perfectionism. Or that is what she tells herself to stop herself from breaking something.

Time passes by and her train of thought is only interrupted by Edward calling her. "What do you want?" She mutters coming off more aggressive than she intended.

"Whoo! Cece is right. You really are angry," he replies.

"Wait what?" Bella mutters demanding quickly.

"I just got off the phone with Cece after I helped her do her English homework. I thought it was your idea for her to call me. Did I do something wrong by taking her phone?" he asks worriedly.

Bella frowns at what Edward told her. Did she seriously call him? Was Cece that frustrated by her?

"Bella? Bella? Are you still there?" Edward's worried voice permeates her thoughts.

"Yes, yes," she quickly tells him as she switches the phone to the other ear.

"I thought it was your idea for her to call me."

"It was," she mutters quietly still in disbelief of what happened.

"But you are surprised" he states confused.

Bella shakes her head to clear it and tells him, "I didn't think that she would go through with it."

"Well she did. Can you believe that Bella? Cece reached out to me all on her own. It's great, isn't it?" Edward tells her joyfully.

"Yes, it is," Bella answer. So why is she feeling anything but happy?
