I don't own twilight. What I own is my character's behavior, personality, background, and the plot of the story.

Author's note at the end of the chapter.

Angela enters the house and notices that most of the lights are off, so when she sees a shadow in the living room, she is spooked. "Calm down it's just me," Bella mutters turning on the flashlight on her mobile phone.

"What are you doing down here?" Angela asks sinking into the opposite end of the couch Bella is sitting on.

"I couldn't sleep," Bella mutters quietly.

"Were things that bad with Edward?"

Bella turns to Angela and tells her, "Actually, they were good. Very good. That's why Edward is preparing to take Cece out on his own next."

Angela smiles widely and tells Bella, "That's a good thing right?"

When she is met with silence she repeats herself, "Right?"

Bella shrugs and then tells her, "It made sense at that moment."

Angela is silent for a moment before she tells her, "It's hard to know that after raising her alone for years, she is willing to be happy with him, isn't it?"

"Yeah," Bella whispers barely audible.

Angela takes Bella's hand in hers and squeezes it and they are silent for a couple of minutes until Bella breaks the silence. "Wait a minute. I need to show you something."

Bella gets up and climbs the stairs to her bedroom only to return two minutes later with a USP.

"What's this?" Angela asks when Bella hands it to her.

Bella sits crossed-legged on the couch and tells her, "I know that I have no rational reason to not trust Edward, but my heart can't help it. All I can think of is how I might have made that decision too soon. When Cece's necklace broke a month ago, I didn't just fix it. I planted a bug in it. I knew that this day would come. This USP is connected to the bug and uploads everything it records and you can turn the bun on using the program on it. I can't keep it with me because I will go insane constantly listening to it, and I wanna try to trust Edward. I want you to keep it and be the one to turn it on and off and give it to me, only if something happens and we need answers."

"Bella that's crazy," Angela exclaims in disbelief. Here she was thinking that finally Bella was trusting Edward and then she goes and does the most insane thing ever.

"It's the only thing stopping me from killing him in his sleep to make sure that my daughter is never harmed," Bella answers brutally honest.

"That's an infringement of his privacy," Angela mutters shaking her head still trying to make sense of what she just heard.

"Not if I don't listen to it, and if I do then that means that he has given me reasons to worry about my daughter, and in that case he doesn't deserve for me to respect his rights," Bella argues like it's a fact.

"It's still insane," Angela mutters to herself.

"Will you keep it?" Bella asks impatiently.

"Yes," Angela declares snatching it from her.

"Although I still believe it's nuts and I don't think we need to use it. You need to trust your guts more, and if your guts tell you that he is safe then he is safe."

Just as Angela finishes her speech, Bella's phone rings. "It's Victoria," Angela tells her looking at the screen.

Bella groans muttering, "Give it to me."

"What's up with that?" Angela asks her once Bella hangs up after telling Victoria that they can meet in the park in five days.

Bella sighs loudly and tells her, "Victoria keeps telling about how Maria is excited about hanging out with Cece and happy that she made friends while Cece doesn't care much for her."

"She hates her?" Angela asks in surprise as Cece is pretty friendly and gets along with everyone.

"I wouldn't say that but she isn't her biggest fan. I tell her that she needs to be friends with everyone but there is only so much forcing I can do," Bella tells her closing her eyes and messaging her temples.

Hello lovely people,

I hope you enjoyed this chapter. It's on the shorter side because I felt that it's vital for those moments to have their own chapter instead of being part of a bigger one in which they could potentially go unnoticed in the presence of seemingly more important moments.
