Chapter Eight – The Way Out

Stephanie McMahon Hardy rolled her eyes as the court arranged itself around the people who had been arrested thanks to her no good brother Shane. There was no doubt that the highest court in the land had more important things to be getting on with, but thanks to her brother, Seth and the God Girls, Sasha Banks and DX were all being accused of stealing classified military assets for personal use. While the trial started, many concerned loved ones watched from home, unable to visit the detainees as Shane thought it would cause things to get out of control. So Jeff Hardy and Montez Ford were forced to stay at home and watch as their loved ones were put on trial for something they didn't do, all so Shane McMahon could get his hands on the DX family jewels.
"This is ridiculous," Stephanie said shaking her head and Hunter shoved her on the shoulder. "What's your problem?" she asked him.
"Shut up you're going to make things worse," Hunter whispered.
"You Bonehead, things couldn't get any worse. We're in the Supreme Court on trial for some bogus lie that our lawyer can't get us out of," Stephanie replied.
"You're just cranky because Jeff's not here to support you in person," Hunter teased Stephanie and his ex-wife looked at him in disbelief.
"Are you winding me up right now? This is not funny Hunter, we could go to jail. I could lose my family and what's left of my reputation as a business woman. No-one will ever work with me again!" Stephanie panicked and Hunter laughed much to her chagrin. "I said its not funny!"
"Like Hell it ain't. How long has the McMahon family been trying to get at me and Shawn. If this isn't the dumbest thing your brother has ever done, I don't know what is. So if I were you I'd start laughing to. This is going to be over before you know it and then you can finally go home to your rainbow haired husband and drink nerd tea together on Roman's front porch," Hunter said and Stephanie found herself smiling at that thought.
"I do like Roman's place in Pensacola, but I think its time Jeff and I went back to New York. We've got a lot of unfinished business there," Stephanie said and she gasped realising what Hunter had done. "You just put me in a good mood!"
"That's why you married me, for the jokes," Hunter said and he nudged Stephanie on cheek with his head. "Here's to the good old times,"
Stephanie smiled at Hunter and Bianca Belair watched horrified as they exchanged a short but intense kiss.
"Sweet Lord in Heaven!" Bianca exclaimed and the judge banged his gavel at the EST.
"Jesus Christ ain't gonna get you outta this young lady so take your seat and remain silent," he said and Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair pulled the EST back down to where she was sitting.
"Do you know what just happened?" Bianca said to Charlotte and Alexa. "Hunter just unleashed a demon,"
"He what? No, he didn't unleash a demon, he just kissed Stephanie McMahon…oh," Alexa realised. "I see what you mean, because they're married and married people can't kiss other people,"
"God just invoked a judgement, that means all married people are going to be tempted to cheat on their spouses. We have to pray now," Bianca said and she got up again much to the judge's disapproval. "Seth, hello? Rollins!"
Seth Rollins was making out with his very pregnant wife who just so happened to be sitting right next to him much to Becky Lynch's irritation. Out of all the couples that they knew, only the Rollins were together, which meant if they wanted to make out in court, they could for a long as they wanted. And that was exactly what they had been doing for the last thirty minutes, which had caused Seth to miss what just happened between Stephanie and Hunter. Bianca wasn't even sure if Seth realised that an adultery demon had just been released into the world.
"Young lady I told you to sit down!" the judge barked at Bianca but this was no time for the EST to be listening to an old man with a wooden mallet in his hand. Bianca ran over to where Seth and Sasha were sitting and she got in-between them.
"Hey what gives?!" Sasha said and Seth pouted.
"Bianca you know I love to see you but now is not the time for one of our talks. Go back over there with Charlotte and Alexa," Seth said.
"Yes and please take me with you!" Becky pleaded. "If I have to sit here and watch these two make out for one minute longer I'm going to scream!"
"Then we'll both be kicked out," Bianca said. "I hate to interrupt the Rollins love fest guys but we have a serious problem. Hunter and Stephanie just kissed and now an adultery demon has been released. We have got to do something, we can't stay here for this trial now that the demon has been loosed. We have to find it and trap it so it doesn't mess up people's marriages,"
"I'm sorry B but we have to undergo this farce of a trial. We can't do God stuff while we're in here," Seth said and Sasha leaned back over to her husband amorously.
"So does that mean we can resume our make out session?" she said brightly and Seth smiled into her face.
"It sure does baby," he replied happily until Bianca blocked them again.
"It doesn't matter if we're on trial or having babies or getting married, the God Girls never stop while God's work needs to be done!" Bianca insisted but Seth wasn't buying her argument.
"I'm sorry B, that demon is just gonna have to wait, no if you'll excuse me, I was kissing my wife's beautiful, soft, pillowy…"
Suddenly Becky Lynch threw up all over Sasha and when the EST saw the horror on both Seth and Sasha's faces, she knew Becky had thrown up on Sasha deliberately.
"I told you if I saw you two make out any longer I was gonna be sick, well congratulations, you made me a woman of my word," Becky said as Bianca smiled at her.
"Don't you mean a man of your word?" Bianca said playfully as the court assistants attended to Sasha.
"Please get her cleaned up the trial is about to begin," the judge said and the assistants took Sasha away to get her cleaned up, while Bianca finally got Seth's attention back.
"Now that the Boss is out of the way, I can finally tell you what God told me. The Lord said that in a few hours, there's going to be an attack from some angry protesters. When they storm the court, we can get out of here. The trial will be rescheduled and in the mean-time we can prove that Shane McMahon is full of crap and that the DX jewels truly do belong to the DX family," Bianca said as Seth tried to get the image of Becky throwing up on Sasha out of his head.
"You know I've thought of you doing many things to Sasha but throwing up all over her wasn't one of them," Seth said to Becky who ignored his comment and focused on what Bianca had to say.
"So what do we do when we get out of here?" she asked the EST.
"We go back to New York and find the Damsels of Destruction. They are historians and they know the true story behind the DX family jewels. If they testify on DX's behalf, we'll make sure that Stephanie's hands are wiped clean and Professor Kendrick Alexander won't go down for treason," Bianca said.
"What about us, will we be able to prove that we weren't trying to steal the DX family jewels from the McMahon family?" Seth said.
"Only if the Damsels testify on our behalf," Bianca said and Seth nodded.
"Well then I guess we better get to New York," he said and the sound of angry clamouring echoed around the Supreme Court.
"The protesters are here, things are about to get chaotic. I'm talking tear gas, gun shots. Are you ready?" Bianca asked and Becky and Seth exchanged glances at the EST.
"Are you genuinely asking if we're ready or is this your DX impression?" Becky asked her.
"No I'm genuinely asking you if you're ready," Bianca replied and Hunter furrowed his brow at her.
"Hey that's my bit!" he yelled but no-one replied in Bianca's defense because the entire court room was soon flooded by angry anti climate change protesters.
"We hate gas!"
"Death to cars and other non-electric vehicles!"
"My baby hates oil!"
"Oh gees," the judge said rolling his eyes as the security team advanced on the angrily environmentalists and Seth and the God Girls, DX, Stephanie McMahon Hardy, her daughter Beth Hardy and Professor Alexander all disappeared out of the court, hidden by the smoke and noise of all the chaos.
When they were outside, the chaos had flooded all of downtown Washington DC.
"Okay Seth call Shawl, we need to get to New York and find the Damsels of Destruction before the military comes looking for us," Bianca said.
"Are we all going to New York?" he said and Bianca nodded. "Shawl's gonna need re-stitching after this trip,"
Seth called his faithful flying prayer Shawl and all the detainees got on board and flew to New York. There was one person missing from that flight and when they got to New York City, only one person seemed to notice that she was gone.
"Where'd everybody go?" Sasha said holding her pregnant stomach as tear gas and gun shots went off all around her.
"We need to get you out of here ma'am!" one of the security team said to her but he was shot down by a protester and Sasha fled from the court room, looking all around for Seth and the God Girls.
Out by the Washington monument, people for running and screaming all around but all Sasha could do was try to find a ball of wavy black hair in the midst of it all.
"Seth, baby?" she cried but Seth wasn't there, Sasha was all alone and she didn't like it. Her cellphone suddenly rang and she answered it hoping it was Seth. "Baby where are you? I'm here in DC and its crazy, there are military people shooting at protesters! Is the environment really worth all this rage?!"
"Sasha its Montez Ford,"
"Oh, hey Tez, are you looking for Bianca because I have no idea where she or my husband is right now," Sasha said running from the explosions all around the White House.
"You're on TV I can see you! I was watching the trial from home then the news station changed to the protesters battling the military outside the court room. Where's Seth, are the God Girls okay?" Montez asked.
"I don't know," Sasha said holding her head and she was suddenly overwhelmed with fear. "I don't know where my husband is Montez I'm so scared,"
"Don't worry I got a friend in the military, I'll text him to go and get you. You'll be alright Sasha just hang in there okay?" Montez assured her and a bomb went off disconnecting the call and Sasha dropped to her side so that she didn't fall on her baby.
"Baby, I got you. We're gonna be okay, Tez is going to get us both out of here. I promise you, when I give birth to you, its gonna be a whole new world," Sasha spoke over her baby and she dragged herself into a blown out souvenir store and sat by a bunch of American flags, waiting for her help to come, which it did thanks to a thoughtful and dutiful ex-military soldier, called Montez Ford.
