Chapter Twelve – Shield for Profit
Ford apartment, Midtown, New York City, New York
Rhea Ripley held her head grimacing while the rest of the Judgement Day tried to reason with her as she marched to the Ford's apartment to talk to Montez Ford.
"Rhea will you calm down? I really don't think we should be here," Damien Priest said as Rhea found her key to the Ford apartment.
"Why do you have a key to the Ford's apartment?" Finn Balor asked curiously.
"Because me and Bianca are friends and she gave me a key to check in on her in case anything happened between her and Tez," Rhea said and the Judgement Day exchanged glances.
"Is there something going on between Tez and Bianca that we don't know?" Damien asked Rhea.
"You'll know when we get inside," Rhea replied and Damien and Finn followed her inside. Rhea was not in a good mood, it was bad enough she'd been screwed out of the Women's Championship by Liv Morgan who was avoiding her like the plague. Finn and Damien felt very uncomfortable being in the Ford's apartment knowing full well that Bianca was not going to be home. Bianca was in hiding with Seth and the God Girls and it made no sense for them to be there.
That was how they felt until they saw what Rhea was there for.
"Tez?" Damien Priest said incredulous as the married Street Profit looked back at his guests with his arm strung around a smiling Sasha Banks.
"Get the Hell up Tez!" Rhea yelled and she slapped him hard across the back of his head. "What the Hell are you doing here with Seth's wife?!"
"Ow!" Montez said coolly and Sasha rubbed his head to console him. "Thanks Sasha, you're a good example of how a woman should treat her man,"
"You're not her man!" Rhea snapped and she hit Montez around the head again. "Now get your a** off this couch before I throw it out the window!"
Sasha rolled her eyes at Rhea and slowly got to her feet, "Rhea you need to get on your knees and thank God that I'm four months out from having my baby, otherwise the only thing that would be getting thrown around here is you. I saw your match and I'd be pissed if my best friend had screwed me over but don't take it out on me and Tez," Sasha said.
"What I'm doing is looking out for my best friend. I don't know if you know this but Tez and B and have been having problems lately and whether you intend to your not Sasha, you being here is just gonna make things worse," Rhea said. "I understand you're pregnant but what I don't understand is why you're here with Tez instead of out there with Seth and the rest of the God Girls. As for Liv Morgan, I'll deal with that backstabbing b*** when I'm finished with you,"
"That's enough Rhea," Tez said putting his arm around Sasha, "I want you to leave right now,"
"I'm not leaving I'm staying right here," Rhea said and she sat on the couch leaving Sasha and Tez puzzled as she put her feet up and took a deep breath.
"What do you mean you're staying right here?" Tez asked confused.
"I have a key and Bianca always says that I can stay here whenever I want and you know what? I think I'm going to stay here for awhile with my boys, take some time off now that I'm no longer the Women's Champion," Rhea said and Judgement Day looked at Tez embarrassed.
"Tez we're so sorry, Rhea's having a rough night please accept our apologies for this intrusion," Finn said and he looked at Sasha, "Seth should be ashamed of himself for leaving his pregnant wife home while he runs around with everyone else's wife but his," he said bitterly and Sasha smiled in agreement.
"I've been saying that since we got married Balor. Its not a good idea for me to be with Seth right now and you and Becky are finished. Clearly you are not cut out of be the husband of a God Girl but unlike you, Seth will never do better than me. You still have options Balor, I'd explore them if I were you," Sasha said nodding towards Rhea who looked at her horrified by what she was implying.
"What did you just say?" Rhea gasped with disgust.
"You can't hit a pregnant woman Rhea," Tez said protectively. "You can have the apartment, Sasha and I will just go to a hotel,"
"What?!" Damien Priest said in shock. "You can't go to a New York hotel with the Boss, the fans and the wresting media will be all over you. Are you really gonna do Bianca like that Tez?"
Tez gave an indifferent shrug in reference to his wife, "Bianca's been doing me like that for years," he replied and Rhea shook her head while the Judgement Day sat next to her on the couch.
"This is such a mess and there's no way I can contact Bianca to let her know what's going on.
If only there was something I could do without giving away the God Girls whereabouts," Rhea said.
"Why do you care so much? I'm sure Bianca can figure this out without your help Rhea," Finn said.
"She's not the EST when it comes to her marriage. When it comes to Tez, Bianca is the weakEST woman in the whole world. If her marriage disintegrates, so will Bianca Belair," Rhea said. "I'm not going to let that happen so you both need to get your thinking caps on and help me fix this or you can leave with Tez and Sasha," Rhea said firmly.
"I can't believe they're actually going to a hotel the week after Summerslam. Its like Tez wants people to find out about the problems he's having with Bianca, its such a dick move and so unlike him," Damien said in disbelief. "Tez is a cool guy and he worships the ground his wife walks on, none of this makes sense,"
Finn nodded along but his mind was elsewhere, as always the veteran was always thinking one step ahead and he was thinking about making a bold move that would really shake things up for the Judgement Day. The hard part would be getting Rhea Ripley to go along with it.
"Rhea, I've got an idea and if you hear me out, we could fix the Bianca-Tez problem and get our credibility back after losing at Summerslam," Finn said and Rhea looked at Finn intrigued.
"Lay it on me Balor, what's your idea?" she said and Finn laid it out for her and Damien and after shouting at him in anger for a few seconds afterwards, Rhea realised just how brilliant the mind of Finn Balor truly was. "Let's do it!" she said enthusiastically and the Judgement Day ran after Sasha and Tez and convinced them to come back and hear their plan.
The Hurt Business watched from the shadows as Judgement Day, Montez and Ford headed back to the apartment and MVP fed back to Shane McMahon who was somewhere in the area.
"Sasha's hanging out with the Judgement Day now," MVP told Shane.
"Go make yourself known, I want Sasha to know that Daddy's back in town," Shane told MVP and the Hurt Business made their most unwelcome appearance outside Tez and Bianca's apartment.
"Boys, welcome to New York City, the city that Vince McMahon put on the map before you were even a line on a WWE script. What brings you to this beautiful city? Aren't you supposed to be on the West Coast for RAW?" MVP said to the Judgement Day and Sasha froze when she saw the Hurt Business knowing her father couldn't be too far away if they were in town.
"We're conducting business, why don't you find someone else to annoy and leave us the Hell alone?" Rhea said but leaving them alone was not going to be an option as the whole wrestling world was about to find out.
