Chapter Thirteen - Damsels of the Underground
The Damsels of Destruction took Seth and the God Girls to an underground apartment that was built just south of the Hudson River. It never got flooded and it was in great condition, the Damsels had it built the previous year and found it to be a good hiding place when they upset the wrong people, which was often. Seth and the God Girls were impressed that the Damsels had managed to secure such an impressive location away from the prying eyes of the general New York City public.
What was far less impressive however was the fact that Hunter, his son Hayworth and Hayworth's wife McKenzie had managed to find it too. Seth and the God Girls gave a collective sigh when they saw the Helmsleys smiling back at them looking as unhomeless as possible, dressed to the nines in classy urban attire fit for a super rich dynasty.
"Not bad huh?" Hunter said raising a glass of imported beer to Seth and the God Girls as they came in looking like shabby vagrants from the 1920s.
"What are you doing here Hunter? This is supposed to be a secret hang out," Seth said annoyed. "Now that you're here it won't be long before the military finds us and our plan to take down Shane McMahon will go up in smoke,"
"Relax Seth Rollins, we're celebrating!" Hunter said and Hayworth approached them with champagne. "Here take a drink and join in with us!"
Seth and the God Girls looked at Bianca Belair for an explanation, "Well it seems our plan to take down Shane McMahon just got an added boost. Hunter, why don't you tell us what you've found out while we're over here smelling like the inside of Mark Henry's sock drawer," Bianca said and the Damsels laughed as Hayworth offered everyone a drink. Everyone took a glass except for Bianca who was pregnant and Bayley, who was also pregnant but didn't know.
"Um, none for her," Bianca said taking the glass away from Bayley who looked at Bianca annoyed.
"If I want champagne I'll have champagne," Bayley said and the EST smiled at her.
"I don't think your husband would be very happy if I let you drink alcohol knowing that you were four weeks pregnant," Bianca said and Seth and the God Girls ran over to Bayley and celebrated with her vociferously.
"You're pregnant I can't believe it!" Charlotte cheered.
"No I'm not, Bianca's judgment is off, I'm not having a baby guys," Bayley said and Seth looked at Bianca critically.
"Is she pregnant, yes or no?" he asked Bianca firmly and the EST nodded.
"She's one hundred percent pregnant. Trish told the Rock but he has no idea that we're fake homeless and he wants her home just as much as we want to get out of these drab-a* clothes," Bianca said and she suddenly turned away from Seth and held her stomach in pain.
"Can I use your bathroom?" she asked Melissa Turnbull as Seth watched her concerned.
"Sure, go all the way down the hall and it's the last room on the right," Melissa said and Seth gave his champagne to Becky and escorted Bianca to the bathroom, or at least he tried to.
Her response was to elbow him in the ribs.
"I don't need your help, just stay here and listen to what Hunter and the Helsmleys have to say about Shane McMahon," Bianca said but Seth ignored her. "I said I don't need your help!"
Bianca tried to push Seth away again but she ended up almost keeling over so Seth had to pick her up and carry her to the bathroom as the EST was clearly in no condition to walk on her own.
In the bathroom Seth cleared some space and lay Bianca down before calling for Shawl, his flying prayer Shawl that wanted nothing to do with Seth right now because of how bad he smelled.
"Knock it off Shawl, now unfurl yourself and hover over me and Bianca," Seth said to his prayer shawl and Shawl hesitantly opened himself up wide and Seth prayed over Bianca who was in a lot of pain.
"Something's wrong," she said tearing up. "I'm hurting all across my left side,"
Bianca grabbed Seth's hand and squeezed it indicating just how much pain she was in. Seth squeezed her hand back and released healing into her body, soon putting Bianca and her baby at peace.
"Feel better?" Seth asked her and Bianca nodded with her eyes closed.
"Much better," she said gently still holding his hand. "This is what I need from you Seth, I need your support, I don't need your anger. I'm so sorry for what happened in DC but I wasn't trying to ruin your marriage, I just made a mistake which rarely happens to me I know and I'm sorry,"
Seth shook his head, "Forget about it Bianca, I'm sorry I lashed out and gave you the silent treatment all these weeks. I just can't believe you didn't tell me you and Tez were having problems, you know you can come to me about anything, right?" Seth assured her and Bianca nodded. "So why didn't you tell me what was going on?"
"Because losing Tez is one of my greatest fears. I'm a God Girl, I'm supposed to be brave, I'm not supposed to have any fears. I thought if I told you what was going on with me and Tez, you'd lose faith in me as a God Girl. You always expect so much of me, Becky, Charlotte, Alexa and Bayley. Sometimes I feel like you rely on me most of all and I buckled under the pressure and decided to keep my mouth shut hoping everything would just get better. Then when Hunter kissed Stephanie in DC and released that adultery demon, everything just got worse. I know Tez is mad at me but the devil's using his resentment of me and now things are going to get a million times worse. My Gift won't work if I'm in conflict with my husband but I knew if I told you, you'd Stomp his brains out and I couldn't risk losing you as the leader of the God Girls. Especially as it is very likely that I'm going to lose my husband for awhile," Bianca explained and Seth looked at her stunned.
"You're not going to lose your husband Bianca, we will win this battle, we always win. I have great expectations of you that's true but you're still my friend and I care about you. Please don't keep me in the dark ever again; you're my freakin' Treasurer of Secrets. How can I come to you to find out what God's saying if you're keeping stuff from me? Let's fight this battle together, you're not in this by yourself. Tez is just tripping off this adultery demon, he'll be back to himself after we've got this whole assignment squared away. Just don't push me away, I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you," Seth said devotedly and he pulled Bianca to her feet and gave her a hug while Shawl turned the shower on and pointed to it.
"Yes, a shower would be great but not together," Bianca said and she left Seth and Shawl alone to wash off the smell of homelessness while Bianca thought about what Seth had said. Though peace had been restored to their relationship, she knew that there was worse to come for them both. Tez's bad behaviour was just a taste of what was coming and his actions were going to push Seth to the breaking point. It was knowing this that was causing her such internal pain but Seth's Gift of Healing had stablised her for now.
Back in the midst of all the celebration of the BayRock baby, Bianca told the God Girls that Seth was taking a shower and to make sure they all took one too when he was done.
"We're free to uncover ourselves now that we found the Damsels of Destruction. Being underground with them will be protection enough, we don't have to hide our beautiful bodies anymore," Bianca said and the God Girls exhaled with relief. Being fake homeless was a challenge for them all but it also made them sympathetic to what it must be like to be homeless for real.
"So, are things good with you and Seth now?" Alexa asked Bianca hopefully and the EST nodded but it was clear that she had been crying in the Damsels' bathroom.
"Seth's in for a world of hurt so we all have to be there for him," Bianca told the God Girls and
Hunter's ears started to burn as he drew in closer to hear what the EST had to say about Seth. "Is there something going on that I need to know about here?" he asked assertively and the God Girls gave him a derisive look.
"Haven't you helped enough?" Becky said sarcastically. "Thanks to you, both Seth and Bianca are having to fight like Hell to save their marriages. Why did you have to kiss your ex-wife Hunter?"
"Is that what's going on here? You think some spooky demon has been released because I pecked Stephanie on the cheek? I'm a happily married man, she's a very happily married woman. The kiss meant nothing!" Hunter expressed confidently.
"If that were true Hunter, Seth and Bianca wouldn't be going through all this turmoil with their spouses," Alexa said and Hunter shook his head in disagreement.
"Whatever's going on will blow over, come on guys this is supposed to be a celebration! Shane McMahon is going down and Bayley's having a baby! You all need to cheer up, the worst is behind you now," Hunter said excitedly but Bianca knew that the worst hadn't even started yet and the God Girls knew better than to listen to Hunter when he got happy.
"How bad is it going to get?" Becky asked Bianca.
"You know how we always expect Sasha to be the one to flip out on Seth? Well this time, it's gonna be the other way around. We have to watch Seth because my husband is about to make our leader question his salvation for the first time in years," Bianca said and Becky shook her head.
"Why is it always the pretty ones that cause the most trouble?" she said thinking of her own husband Finn Balor, who was on the West Coast about to cause some trouble of his own.
"When you've all showered and changed we'll tell you the good news about Shane McMahon," Jamie Albright said to the God Girls, "We think you're going to really like it,"
"Great, we could do with some good news," Charlotte said hugging Bayley. "Not that we didn't just get some about you. You're gonna be a mom Bayley!"
"Yeah, and the sooner we get you outta here and to your husband the better. We don't want that adultery demon to get to you and Rocky too," Alexa said and Bianca looked at Bayley's darkening face knowing that it already had.
