I don't own twilight. What I own is my character's behavior, personality, background, and plot of my story.
Author's Note at the end.
"And you kissed her?" Seth asks Edward as he stirs the veggies in the frying pan.
Edward nods his head and drinks from the can of beer in his hands.
"You do know that all of this will be null and void once the gala thing goes down, right?"
Edward nods his head and mutters, "Yes I know."
Seth turns his back to the pan and turns to Edward and studies him as he demands, "What are you not telling me?"
"Nothing," Edward answers quickly, too quickly.
"Edward," Seth mutters in a threatening tone.
They enter into a staring contest until Edward tells him, "The food is burning."
Seth lets out a couple of curse words as he turns down the heat and starts stirring the veggies aggressively. He uses water to aid him in deglazing the pan.
"This isn't over Edward. You will tell me what you are hiding," Seth mutters when he sees Edward laughing at him in the reflection of one of the cabinets. That gets Edward to shut up. Seth adds the needed spices, and then takes out a vegetable broth from the fridge and adds some of it in the pan. He then adds the cooked pasta to the pan and places the lid on it so the pasta would simmer with all of the flavors.
Seth turns to Edward and says, "There you have it, nothing will burn, now what are you hiding from me."
Edward huffs and mutters, "I don't know what you are talking about."
"You are hiding something from me Edward, and it has to do with Bella," Seth tells him as he starts pilling things in the kitchen sink to clean them before they eat.
"I tell you everything that happens with Bella. What are you talking about?" Edward tells him annoyed with Seth's line of questions.
"Then it has to do with Bella but not something that happens per se," Seth deduces.
"Again, no idea what you are talking about," Edward replies angrily as he gets up and goes to the bathroom to wash his hands.
Once he returns to the kitchen he finds Seth waiting for him and ready to fire the pistol as he demands, "You do want her back right? You're not just going to get her to leave Marco for nothing?"
The expression on Edward's face is all the answer Seth needs as he slams his hands on the counter and yells at him, "After everything you put her through you want to do this, what is wrong with you?" If looks could kill, Edward would drop dead.
Edward raises his hands as he steps backward and says, "I am not doing that per se."
"I am not doing that per se? What is that supposed to mean?" Seth demands glaring at him.
"It means that I am not sure if I love her and want her back or not, and I don't understand what the big problem is. We don't get back together, serves her right for leaving me."
Seth does a face-palm before he looks at Edward and speaks slowly, "After the abuse you put her through, she had every right to leave you. If not for herself, then for the baby who is owed a healthy growing environment and childhood that has no abuse in it."
"I would never abuse my child?" Edward states getting angry and offended.
"But you would abuse your girlfriend," Seth claps back.
"I never abused Bella, all of that crap is in her head," Edward replies.
Seth is silent for a couple of moment and starting at Edward as he mutters to himself, "You are not getting back together with her. This is all an ego trip for you," and is silent for a minute before he turns to Edward with fire in his eyes and yells, "Get out!"
Edward is shock that Seth is kicking him, "You don't mean that."
"Oh but I do. Get out and don't come back again until you have got some fucking manners, remorse and self awareness," Seth replies sounding as serious as a heart attack.
When Edward doesn't budge, Seth walks to him and shoves him toward the door as he says, "Get out I want nothing to do with your crap."
Once the door is open and Edward is out of it, Seth tells him, "if you try to sue her for custody I will personally testify in her favor against you," and then he slams the door in Edward's face.
Edward climbs the stairs leading to his apartment as he contemplates what Seth told him. He can't be right? Edward was never in the wrong? It's not like he hit her? Sure he had his shitty moments, but everyone goes through their shitty phase every now and then, and it's your loved one's job to forgive you and let go. It can't be that. No, Edward decides. Bella left him for another reason. She probably left him because she didn't love him enough. If she loved him, she wouldn't have left him. You don't leave the one you love.
She also probably made sure that he didn't know about Cece because she wanted things to be easy and simple.
Too bad she was stupid enough to come back.
Now Edward will make sure she doesn't get away with what she did to him.
"Good you are here," he hears and looks up to find Tanya waiting for him by the door.
"Hey baby," he tells her walking to her and leaning to kiss her on the lip only for her to dodge them and give him her cheek instead.
"What's wrong?" he asks her as he turns to the door and unlocks it.
"There is something I want to talk to you about," she tells him biting her lips as she follows him through the door.
"Okay, just let me change out of my work clothes and then we will talk," he tells her as he turns on the lights and walks into his bedroom.
Her words might put any other man on the edge, but he has her right where he wants her, so why worry? Plus, if she leaves him, then she leaves him. If he doesn't get his revenge he will be disappointed, but not heart broken.
Tanya sits on the couch and looks around the living room for a clue proving her fears and then notices the nerve wrecking utter silence of the place which prompts her to ask, "Where you in the office?"
"Oh no, I was at Seth's. We were supposed to have dinner together but we had an argument and I left," he tells her as he walks into the room while pulling a sweatshirt on. He is not about to let her know that he got kicked out.
He takes out two water bottles from the fridge and hands one to her and then chugs back half of the one left in his hand before saying, "So, what do you wanna talk about?"
He leans back and watches her look at her fingers and spin her engagement ring around before she finally says, "When we went to the club I know that I was drunk out of my mind, but I think I saw something and I want to ask you about it."
He nods his head for her to continue and she stops spinning her ring around and straightens her back before looking him in the eye and asking, "Did you kiss Bella?"
Hey lovely people,
I hope this chapter meet your expectations. It has been nine days since I last updated. I have no idea where the time went, but I have been sick for the last two weeks, so that explains the extended period of time i needed to update.
I will definitely not need as much time to update the next chapter. Meanwhile, let me know your thoughts in the review section. Those are always fun to read.
Until then,
Stay Safe.
