HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSssssssssssssssssss
"Why is this so thick?" Jaune slices another vine in half before wiping his brow "I feel like I've made no progress" The teen pauses and looks behind him at the path he's cut for himself. A fifty foot long Jaune sized hole in the forest shows the little progress he's made in his journey.
'It would probably help me if I weren't carrying an extra 80 pounds on my back' Jaune thinks, glancing at the sleeping girl hanging over his left shoulder. Soft snores fill the air as the sounds of hissing and chopping momentarily cease. 'Why am I doing this again?'
'Because you decided to take the high road despite all the warning signs' the voice mocks Jaune making sure to layer its words with heavy disdain
'Yeah. I'm doing this cause it's the right thing to do' Jaune says purposely taking the insult wrong.
'Gods I'm dumb' The voice snidely remarks
'I never asked for your opinion.'
'It's your opinion too. I'm you, remember?' It reminds the young Arc once again
'No you aren't' Jaune turns around and raises his sword once more.
Phwwwwwwhhht SCHLICT HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Vines and branches are cut down as Jaune slowly carves his way through the jungle thinking about how he's going to explain everything to team RWBY. losing himself in thought about all the ways the situation could play out. From Yang punching his head off for bringing Neo with him or all of them getting understandably angry at the fact that he killed Penny right after they just saved her and gave her a new body.
'You could blame it on Neo…' The voice suggests
Jaune thinks over the proposition for a couple minutes before coming to the conclusion it wouldn't fool anyone. 'Why am I even considering this?'
'Why not?' It questions again 'It would definitely help solve Our problems…'
'For one, I don't think I should lie about something like that. I have to take responsibility for my actions.'
'It would be much easier to lie about it.'
'That brings up my second point, Weiss was there' Jaune reminds himself 'She wouldn't lie to Ruby.'
'Fair point'
Jaune shudders 'Ugh Agreeing with You feels gross'
'I already told you that I am also you.' It responds seemingly growing irritated
'And I am choosing to ignore that'
'You answering proves that you're not ignoring me…' The voice points out causing Jaune to audibly groan. 'I'm not wrong' Jaune tries to tune out the voice while continuing his slashing of the greenery…
'It should really bother me that the plants and trees here hiss at me' The knight raises his sword again and chops through another layer of vegetation, another chorus of hisses following the slice. 'Then again I am cutting them to pieces… I guess it kind of makes sense.'
'You seem surprised that the things you are killing don't want to be killed.'
'That's because the forests and jungles where I'm from don't hiss at me when I chop them down'
'I know.' a dry response reminding Jaune that whether he likes it or not he and it are indeed the same person with the same memories.
'Is there a way to just kill you?'
The mood of the conversation shifts as the voice responds in a venomous tone 'Yes I already told you about it and you said it was too easy to be true. If you try it, maybe it will work and I'll go back to being the random dark thought every once in a while instead of the incessant droning Voice that You created.' Jaune's brain freezes as he tries to process what the Voice just said.
'I know exactly how you feel about me. I AM YOU!' the voice booms its reminder again.
'I really don't like the fact that you're emotional, it feels like you're evolving past just being a figment of my imagination.' Jaune tries to deflect with a sad attempt at humor.
The voice goes back to its normal way of speaking as if to taunt the young knight. 'I am only responding in a way that You would think somebody would respond after hearing that someone else is actively planning their death. You are the one humanizing me. You give me more power despite me being able to do nothing. All You are doing is hurting yourself'
Jaune pauses his swinging once again to think about what the voice just said. 'Why would I actively sabotage myself?'
'Because you're scared.'
'Of course I'm scared. You should know that best. Every day I have to worry about being killed by a grimm, a woman that has magic powers and hates me, or an ancient witch with a grudge against humanity.
'Don't forget assassins.'
'Exactly. Why wouldn't I be scared?'
'That isn't what I'm talking about, you have every right to be scared about that. I am talking about the fact you are so scared of being alone and failing that as soon as You snapped your first response was to make sure you aren't alone by creating me. You are scared of being abandoned or being unfairly punished because you made the right choice to save everyone you could.'
'But I didn't save anyone. I killed Penny. All I did was delay Salem for a few minutes.'
'And how did that not save hundreds or even thousands of people?'
'Because I couldn't save the one person who needed saving the most then.'
'She couldn't be saved. Penny knew that and so did you.' Tears start streaming Jaune's face as he continues his hacking and slashing, trying to pretend that there wasn't a point made. The truth hurt him too much to believe. It hurt knowing that he never even had a chance to save Penny. That once again he couldn't do anything as he watched someone die.
Jaune mumbles through his tears "Ruby will never forgive me."
'That might be true. And losing a friend is a reasonable fear'
'Why are you even trying to help?'
'I'm you and even if I'm not I live in your head. I know us arguably better than you do. The real question is why wouldn't I help you?'
Jaune pauses in the middle of a comeback realizing there are no flaws in Its argument.
'Besides I wouldn't even need to live in your head to know why you actually spared and are trying to save Neo.' The dark tone returns and Jaune stops knowing that he's not going to like what the voices next words will be. 'You are only doing it because it makes you feel like a better person.'
'No, I'm doing it because it is the right thing to do. No more no less.'
'You can't fool yourself. You may think on the surface that it's the right thing to do but you know that the right thing to do would have been killing her or leaving her on the beach. But you didn't… You hoisted her onto your back and plan on taking care of her until you get to team RWBY.'
'Saving her was the right thing to do.'
'It was the stupid thing to do. You didn't even save her, you almost killed her and then let your guilt manipulate you into making a conscious decision to take someone who wants you and your friends dead to those friends.'
'Team RWBY and I are safer knowing where Neo is than not. I want to save as many people as I can and if I can save Neo then-'
'You'll feel much less guilty about your past "Failings" and a lot better about yourself.'
'No, that's not the reason at all.'
'Another lie.'
'If I can save Neo then maybe she can do some good.'
Jaune can feel the voice rolling its non-existent eyes after his denial. 'You think she can still do good? What has she ever done that was good? What in your mind says that she can change? If you really want to help her you would kill her. She has nothing to live for without Torchwick, why not bring them back together? Or… you could leave her here, because she definitely won't talk about her issues even if she could speak. How would you fix her problems when you can't even fix your own?
'Why do you keep insisting I kill her, knowing that's something I wouldn't do?'
'Because killing her is the biggest mercy you can give someone like her. As I've said, what does she have to live for?'
Jaune focuses on the form hanging off his shoulder silent and deep in thought before he sighs in resignation finally deciding to answer the voice "You're right." The knight can feel the surprise coming from the mental inhabitant 'But that doesn't mean she can't find something to live for.''
The voice becomes slightly more muted after Jaunes statement. 'Now you're doing it'
'Doing what?' Jaune asks confused
'You already know, and it wouldn't be fair if I told you…'
'But I don't know?'
'Sure… Make sure to keep it up or this whole conversation will be for nothing.' With a final statement the voice goes silent once again.
"Am I crazy?" Jaune says to no one
In an attempt to take his mind off of the recent conversation, Jaune looks over his non occupied shoulder to see how far he's gotten. His eyes widen in surprise. A little bit due to the progress he made while he was busy thinking, but most of the surprise is because the path he's carved is slowly starting to close behind him. His view of the shore almost completely gone as the entrance of the tunnel finishes sealing itself up, the forest seemingly slowly erasing his mark on it.
'That is slightly concerning.' Jaune notes before turning back to his task. The sounds of hissing and chopping fill the air as Jaune speeds up his movements.
'I'm really surprised Neo hasn't woken up from all the bumping and noise I'm making' Jaune thinks as he swings his sword. Soon coming across a tree in his way. The depth of Neo's sleep is soon to be tested. Jaune tries unsuccessfully to chop a way around the tree but the vines to his sides seem to have become indestructible. Jaune swings several times in an attempt to chop through the vines. With no success and a sore wrist to show for his efforts, he pushes aura into his wrist and turns back towards the tree in his way.
Sighing in defeat Jaune gently sets down Neo behind him and turns back to this new obstacle. Jaune grips Crocea Mors with both hands and slowly breaths in before taking his first swing at the tree. With a thud the sword buries itself halfway into the tree and vibrations from the hit travel up the boy's arms. Wrenching the weapon out of the trunk Jaune begins to set himself up for another swing at the tree.
THUNK
"Of course I'd miss the first spot by a foot" Jaune sighs looking at the two far apart chunks taken out of the tree before pulling his weapon out of the obstruction and getting ready for his next attack…
After many attacks the tree finally starts to wobble a bit and show weakness. Jaune, seeing the opportunity to finish his mighty foe, raises his leg and plants his boot above the cut he made, pushing the tree over with little force.
Vines and branches snap as the tree starts to fall, the greenery around him hissing as the tree breaks through to make its own path. The tree eventually starts to make contact with the ground with several small cracks as the branches break upon impact. The trunk and main stem follow soon with a loud thud. Neo stirs a little, adjusting herself on the ground and bumping into Jaunes foot making the knight freeze.
'Please don't wake up' Jaune once again aims a prayer at the brother gods hoping they answer his plea this time. Luckily for him they seem to answer his prayer as Neo's light snoring resumes. Jaune sighs in relief silently thanking them for their kindness before picking up the tiny thief and lifting himself up onto the fallen tree.
Balancing himself carefully Jaune slowly shuffles along the log trying to make sure he won't fall and possibly wake up his sleepy guest. After making his way to the end of the tree in a much longer and more stressful walk than it should've been, Jaune steps off the main branch of the tree and looks at the wall of green in front of him.
After taking a few moments to silently celebrate his minor success, Jaunestarts to get back to his deforestation. Slashes once again rain down upon the teens green foe as he cleaves his way through the thinning vines and branches, hisses slowly getting quieter as he nears what he can only assume is an end to the forest…
Neo's eyes open to see a familiar roof above her.
'I'm back in the apartment?' Neo sits up and looks around her to see her room as it always was. Clothes strewn about and trophies from past ventures taking up the open space on the dresser. Her large TV hangs above the dresser playing the news as it always is. To her left she can see and feel the warm light of the sun through her window as it sets between the buildings that make up the city of Vale's skyline. Neo closes her eyes for a moment to let the sun wash over her before her eyes snap open.
'Roman.'
Neo flies out from beneath the covers rushing to her door, ripping it open and letting it slam against her bedroom wall. turning to the door on her right, Neo pauses for a moment. Slowly breathing in Neo pushes the door to Torchwick's room partially open. Neo slides into the room silently and lets her eyes adjust to the darkness of the room. At a snail's pace the girl begins to creep over to Torchwick's bed to see if he's sleeping like he usually is around this time.
As Neo finally comes upon the large bed she searches for the man hoping to find him tangled in the sheets as he usually is when he's asleep. Neo's eyes roam over the bed looking for the familiar bump and rising of blankets and fear grips her heart as she realizes she can't find it. Jumping onto the bed Neo searches on her hands and knees brushing her hands across the messy sheets searching for the presence of Roman.
Not finding him under the blankets Neo starts to panic and looks under the pillows before popping off of the bed and laying down on the floor to look beneath it. Still not seeing Roman Neo quickly gets up to her feet and walks towards the bathroom on the opposite side of the room. Neo holds her breath as she carefully opens the door to see nothing but an empty and dark bathroom. The mute's eyes start to well up with tears at not being able to find Roman after her awful dream.
Roman, hearing the sound of Neo's door slamming open, abandons his current task and walks towards the girls bedroom, not seeing his door partially open as he heads quickly towards Neo's room. Entering the room Roman sees hush on the nightstand and the covers thrown about fear suddenly filling his chest. He races to the window to see it still locked, easing his mind slightly knowing she couldn't have gone that way.
Roman then goes through the room and lays down flat on his stomach to search under the bed to just see clothes and spoons, Roman reminds himself to tell Neo to clean up a little after he finds her. Getting off of his stomach Torchwick walks around the girls bed to her closet slowly opening the double doors to the small space making sure not to disturb all of the precariously stacked 'trophies' and miscellaneous items. Roman eyes the full closet for any sign of his favorite person, and spotting nothing Roman carefully closes the doors trying not to knock anything in the closet over.
"Where could she be?" Roman whispers to himself as he slowly exits Neopolitan's bedroom and looks to his left to the hallway bathroom that the girl claimed as her own. The lights are off and the door is closed but Roman knows that wouldn't stop anyone from trying to use the bathroom. Roman lightly knocks on the door and listens for any sign of the girl and hearing nothing Roman reaches towards the door knob and starts to twist.
"She better not be trying to scare me again or I swear I'm going to wring her little neck." The crook gently pushes the door open and switches on the light, seeing nothing in sight he looks behind the door and sneaks towards the shower. Gripping onto the shower curtain Roman pulls the curtain and once again spots nothing.
Roman panic starts to rise slightly before realizing there's one place he hasn't checked. His room. Leaving the bathroom Roman moves across the hallway to see his door halfway open and the faint sound of crying. Pushing open the door the rest of the way he peeks his head in eyes searching the room and seeing his sheets and pillows tossed around the room he enters slowly…
"Neo?" The girl's head pops up at the sound of her name and spots the familiar figure of Roman Torchwick standing by the door. Scrambling to her feet Neo looks at the man before a wide smile splits her face. Running at Roman the small girl crashes into the tall man's chest, tears still streaming down her face and arms trying to wrap around him.
"Neo! What's wrong?" concern fills the man's voice as he hugs Neo back tightly before prying her off of him. Kneeling down Roman looks at the girl worry in his eyes as he looks at the tear stained eyes of his tiny accomplice. Wiping Neo's tears away, Roman tries to speak before Neo jumps right back into his chest. Stumbling slightly before regaining his balance, The thief returns the embrace.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Roman swears under his breath as the smell of smoke and burning meat fills up their home. Roman lets go of Neo and races back to the kitchen, the girl crashing to her butt from the sudden lack of support from Roman. Neo gets back to her feet and follows the sound and the smell of burning.
Neo walks down the familiar hallway which seems a lot longer than she remembers. Step after step Neo heads towards the main section of the apartment where the kitchen and living room are. Neo's eyes water as the smoke starts to affect her. Closing her eyes and feeling her way to the kitchen, Neo's pace slows almost to a crawl. Soon her hand she used to drag along the wall suddenly feels nothing but air…
Opening her eyes she's shocked to see that she's no longer in the kitchen but on a giant atlas command ship…
'No No No No No No No' Neo starts to panic realizing exactly where she is.
'The fall'
Looking around the giant ship Neo searches for Roman once again. She doesn't have to search very hard as she starts to hear the sound of a battle coming from her right. Roman is fighting and beating Red. Neo tries running over to help but it feels like she's barely moving at all as she struggles to move faster and assist Torchwick. Red is launched back after taking a shot to the chest from melodic cudgel and lands right by Neo.
Neo freezes seeing the girl next to her before rage takes over and her grip tightens on hush. Stabbing the bladed parasol down towards the chest of the young girl below her. Ruby's eyes widen and she uses her semblance to get away from the stab. Roses flutter down in the aftermath the scent and sight contrasting greatly with the feelings held within Neo and the girl across from her
Neo's focus now wholly on Ruby she doesn't notice the world around her changing again to make it just her and Ruby. Neo runs towards the girl closing the distance between them quickly before raining down blows on to the reaper. Ruby is slowly pushed back as she is busy defending the quick and powerful blows with her scythe. Some of the hits land due to Crescent Rose's size getting in the way of Reds mobility and hindering her ability to fight back. Blood red aura starts to flash and hiss as more and more strikes start to hit their target.
Neo, seeing an opportunity, stabs at Red's hand causing her to drop the scythe. Ruby once again uses her semblance to get away but is still without a weapon. Turning around quickly Neo faces Ruby and taking advantage of her own semblance projects an image of her racing towards the girl.
Just as Neo expects, the girl falls for the trick and bursts into a cloud of rose petals towards the real her and the Scythe. Neo waits for the girl to reform before she shatters the illusion and resumes her attack. Red is unable to defend herself and soon her aura breaks. Neo stands over the fallen rose with a glint in her eye as she raises Hush to kill the girl.
Phwwwwwwht
The weapon comes down with speed that wouldn't be possible from a normal human and the blade pierces through the chest of the girl with little resistance. Neo closes her eyes and lets out a shaky breath in relief before looking back down at her dead enemy. The wide eyes she sees staring back at her aren't silver, but green.
Horror spreads through Neo's body as she realizes the person she just stabbed wasn't ruby rose but Roman Torchwick. Neo squeezes her eyes shut as tight as possible and opens them again hoping that her mind is just playing a trick on her. But the corpse still stays as it was when she first laid her eyes upon it. Eyes brim with tears as she realizes her mistake.
"When are you going to realize it's your fault?" A vaguely familiar voice fills the air around Neo seemingly coming from all sides. Neo spins around searching the now small area for the source of the voice before feeling a tug on her boot. Looking down she sees empty eyes peering back up at her. A pale hand wraps around her foot and tries to drag her down to its level.
Neo's boot smacks across its face making a sickening crack as its jaw breaks. Stumbling backwards Neo trips over her own feet as she tries to get away from the corpse and falls flat on her ass. Neo scoots back as fast as she can trying to get away from the dead man in front of her.
"If you would've tried harder you could've made it back to save him…"
Slowly the creature starts to drag itself towards Neo. Formerly shining green eyes now glassy and dull look back into her own. As Neo starts moving back faster a horrible sound comes from the mouth of Roman like the sound of screaming from someone who's getting their throat ripped out. Soon the noise stops and one raspy word is uttered from the thing.
"Why…" Just one word yet it's filled with every ounce of hate and loathing a person could hold in their soul. One word that asks a million questions but only demands one answer.
Neo shakes her head rapidly, tears falling from her eyes as she closes them so she can't see who no… what is in front of her. Eyes tightly closed as she tries not to meet the eyes of the man who once was her everything.
"Look at me…" The thing that used to be Roman hisses at his former partner. "Look what you did…" Neo feels her back hit a wall and starts to panic realizing there's nowhere to go. Eyes opening she sees the quickly decomposing corpse close in on her, its skin slowly falling off and its eyeballs sinking into large sockets.
"Why weren't you there when I needed you most?" the body stops moving and crumples like a puppet with its strings cut. Its voice keeps on speaking despite its mouth not moving. "You were supposed to have my back NEO… but instead you stabbed me in it!" with a final scream the voice fades, and so does everything else around the girl leaving her in complete darkness.
"You want to kill red soooo bad but you couldn't even kill me" The original voice booms with laughter.
"You realized you couldn't kill Cinder so you gave up and joined her… Where did that get you?" Not waiting for a response he continues "You pick a fight with Red because you think it might be a little easier and you fuck up again"
Neo feels rage boil in her gut at the mention of Ruby. "Oooooooh, you seem pretty mad? Too bad all that anger leads to is a little temper tantrum. We both know that all you can do is beat down on a fallen foe and even then you're too weak to kill them."
Slowly the world starts to brighten and shift around and Neo finds herself on a beach. A very familiar beach. The voice speaks from right beneath her, this time its owner finally making himself known. His usual nervous look is replaced with glinting blue eyes and a shark's smile.
"Why couldn't you kill me Neo? I'm right here" Jaune raises his arms and places them behind his head like he's completely completely relaxed and knows that nothing could go wrong. "Do it Neo. You said you would. Why not just take this little thing right here and stab me?" Jaune gently pushes Hush down from his neck over his heart with two fingers.
"You could kill me a lot easier if you don't risk me thrashing and possibly hurting you while I bleed out" Jaune presses the blade to his chest plate with a click. His armor still protecting him even here "Hmmmm, that won't work, let's give you a better option." Quickly snatching Neo's wrist he wrenches her arm, twisting it painfully and pointing the blade of Hush under his chin.
"You should know how easy it is to kill someone like this. You've looked into dozens of eyes, seeing their fear, and loving the feeling of power you get knowing that you control destiny." The boy spits out the last word like it tastes awful before continuing on again "You get to decide who lives and dies. Why can't you kill me then?"
'But I can.' Neo thinks looking down at the boy below her
"No you can't. Because if you could you would've killed me already, but here I am still living. WHY WONT YOU DO IT!?"
Neo, now filled with rage, slams the blade through the skull of the knight. With just a few seconds of life remaining in his body Jaune grins even wider before giving Neo a wink. Her last thoughts as the world slowly fades away for a final time aren't Roman or Red, but Jaune.
Jaune stumbles slightly as he finally makes it out of the vines and branches, and into a clearing. "Finally." Jaune sighs as he takes in his very new surroundings seeing nothing but a single tree standing alone in the middle of the clearing a short walk away. 'How far have I gotten?' Jaune wonders, craning his neck to see the much larger tree. Still seeing the massive tree pretty far away, Jaune lowers his head in defeat.
'Not much but as much progress as I thought but maybe I can rest here for a little.' Jaune starts walking again towards the smaller tree in the middle of the clearing, his mind once again going back to team RWBY and Neo.
'How do you even get to a point like this in your life?' Jaune wonders
'Bad luck and following people out of trust and not due to ability'
'What do you mean by that?'
'Exactly what I just said.'
'Are you talking about who I think you're talking about?'
'Maybe, maybe not. Who do you think I'm talking about?'
'Ruby'
'Pretty harsh to say that your friend is a bad leader'
'I never said she was a bad leader'
'But you thought it, Why else would she be the first person you come up with, when you could've chosen Ironwood, Ozpin, Qrow, or even yourself?'
'You're just trying to rile me up'
'Maybe I was just wondering why you never lead anymore?'
'Because we chose Ruby to be the leader of all 7 of us. You should know that already'
'You could've done better.'
'What makes you say that?'
'The fact that you actually think before you act.'
'I do?' Jaune scoffs. 'From what I remember I didn't have a single thought in my head at Haven and immediately went after Cinder, almost getting Weiss killed.'
'True, but-'
'But, nothing. I am not the right person to lead anyone.'
'Because you made one mistake?'
'One massive mistake that almost got a friend killed… Why are you even talking to me, didn't you say you were going to leave me be?'
'Nothing better for either of us to do'
'I can think of one thing.' Jaune shuts the voice up for a moment. In the voice's place a small sound coming from the tree reaches his ears, a sound that fills Jaune with an odd sense of dread despite its seemingly innocent nature. Jaune warrily raises his sword expecting something awful to be making the sound.
tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick…
The sound seems to raise in volume making it almost seem excited at the attention it's receiving from the knight. Jaune slowly creeps towards the tree and watching for any sudden movements. As he gets closer the noise starts to get louder to almost deafening levels compared to his time cutting through the forest.
Unluckily for Jaune the noise wakes his guest and she quickly decides that she doesn't like it. Starting to thrash wildly Jaune does the only thing he can think of doing to make her stop and whaps the girl on the head with the flat side of his blade. Neo gets the sign and probably another concussion as she stops thrashing, and Jaune's brain catches up to his movements causing the Arc boy to look at his shoulder in bewilderment and slight horror at what he just did and who he did it to.
"Am I stupid?" the teen asks the very odd looking tree standing in front of him. The tree answers back with more ticking.
Jaune decides to take a closer look at the tree and really starts to realize how weird the thing is. Covered in small fruits shaped like clocks. The roots of the tree stand out of the ground and look like the legs of a spider. But the oddest part about the tree wasn't any of its physical aspects but the feeling it gave off like it was happy to see him.
Jaune feels a sense of curiosity take over him seeing the tree and feeling the aura that it gives off. A small voice tries warning him to not touch the tree but the warning reaches deaf ears as Jaune slowly starts to reach up towards one of the many clicking fruits hanging above him. His hand closes around the fruit and an electric sensation shoots through his body.
TICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICK…
The sound of the clocks speed up and get louder as Jaune starts to pull away the small clock from its home. With a snap the fruit disconnects. One final loud click from the tree rings out as the world freezes.
Author's Notes: For those bothered with Jaune being able to shut out the voice, and why didn't he do it before? It's not as much completely shutting it out as much as it is him focusing on something else to drown out the voice for a few minutes, and when he can't tune out the voice it's because the voice is saying things that Jaune either believes deep down or it's something he can't ignore. I have another reason why Jaune was able to shut up the voice, and even though it's pretty simple in my opinion. if you want to guess or you have a theory of your own about the voice feel free to tell me because I love seeing what you guys say (the crazier the better).
The Neo dream sequence was something I really enjoyed making and I might end up making more dream scenes for both characters throughout the story. Next chapter should focus primarily on Neo and how I think the stopwatch fruit event would play out from her point of view but I might throw in a little bit of Jaune since in the volume it was a major thing for him.
I also have chapter 3 partially written because I originally wanted to put out a super long chapter covering the whole event. I think splitting it into 2 parts and giving Neo some more time should be good, because these first chapters feel to me like they have been almost exclusively in Jaune's head outside of Neo's dream.
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and hopefully the wait won't be as long for the next part as I've gotten some stuff sorted out and don't have many problems for now to deal with urgently. I am going on vacation but since it's going to be a fairly short one and I can bring my laptop with me and sign in from there I can get more comfortable and write for longer periods of time.
I would like to thank the people who have read the story so far even if you didn't enjoy it. Thank you for the reviews and everything else as well. I also encourage those who do read this even if they don't like it to review and tell me what they don't like or do like and how I could improve. Once again I thank you all for your patience and your attention.
