Chapter 3: The Family Up Close

In the hotel, the Bad Guys went to their positions. Webs crawled through the vents, Shark went to mingle with some of the rich guests, Piranha went to the floor Honey and her family were on, and Wolf and Snake went to the lobby.

"All right everyone, mics on. Do you copy?" asked Webs through her headset.

Everyone copied, and went to work.

With Shark, he found Honey's parents getting some drinks by the pool. He then walked up to them to make small talk.

"Excuse me, but aren't you the parents of Honey Shaw?" he asked them.

"Why yes." replied Wanda.

"And you are?" Trevor wanted to know.

"I'm Finburg, Mr. Bruce Finburg. CEO of the Jaws Corporation."

"Oh, interesting. Will you be attending our daughter's party?" Wanda wondered.

"I may be, who else would be attending?"

The older couple then started telling Shark that many other influencers, movie stars, even some business tycoons.

"Oh really? I bet it'll be a real fancy event."

"You got that right."

Wolf and Snake were in the lobby, and ran into Mr. Johnson and Ms. Purlmutter.

"Morning, bosses." greeted Wolf.

The two looked at them confused.

"I'm sorry, do you two work here?" wondered Mr. Johnson.

"Oh, we just transferred here. We work at another hotel, our boss figured with this big party you'd appreciate the extra help." explained Snake.

Wolf then showed them some papers they made up.

"Ah I see." observed Ms. Purlmutter.

"Well thank you for coming this is going to be a big party."

"So...how many guests are we talking about at this thing? Wolf questioned.

"Oh at least 300 guests at most."

"Ah, lots of people." replied Snake.

Webs was in the vents, she had her little laptop out, and managed to hack into the hotel's system.

"I'm in baby." she told herself.

She got into the security cameras and got eyes on Honey and her family. She saw her parents talking to Shark, Honey was going to the gym and baby Zack in her arms, Daniel, and Stu were escorting them.

And Zeke was taking Sophie to the pool, and were being escorted by Paulie, Chester, and Francis.

"Okay guys, I got eyes on Honey and her family." she informed.

"Good job, Webs. Are those goons still with them?" Wolf wanted to know.

"Yeah, so be careful."

"You heard her guys. Be on your toes."

Piranha went to the gym, to spy on Honey. The second he opened the door, he was met by Daniel and Stu.

"Who are you?" Daniel wanted to know.

"And what are you doing here?" added Stu.

"Just a lowly janitor, sirs. I need to tidy up the gym." Piranha explained.

"Is there a way you could do that at another time?" Stu wondered.

"It's okay, boys." Honey told them.

She had just put Zack in a little baby station, and walked over.

"I don't mind if he cleans up while I'm doing my workout."

Daniel and Stu then allowed Piranha in, while Honey got started. As he cleaned up he glanced over at Honey, who was on an elliptical machine.

"Hmm, she's in pretty good shape for a senora." Piranha thought.

After the elliptical, she got on the inner thigh machine, the treadmill, and then lifted a couple weights. After she was finished, Zack started crying.

"Aw, what's wrong Zacky?" Honey asked.

She went over to him, and picked him up.

"And an attentive mother." Piranha whispered.

At the pool, Sophie was happily swimming around.

"Having fun, Sophie?" asked Zeke.

"You bet, Dad." Sophie answered.

"(Chuckles), I remember when she was just Zack's age." Paulie mentioned.

"Yeah, so do I." Zeke replied.

Just then, Wolf and Snake walked in pushing a cart.

"May we help you?" Francis wondered.

"Just delivering some fresh towels to the pool." informed Wolf.

"Are you enjoying your stay so far?" Snake wanted to know.

"Oh yes. We are." replied Zeke.

Just then Sophie came up from the water, causing a big splash. But she accidentally splashed everyone.

"Hey!" cried Snake as he got wet.

"Oops, sorry." Sophie told them.

"Ah, no harm done, sweetheart." Wolf assured.

"Is this little one going to be at the party too?"

"Of course she is. Though not as long as the rest of the guests." Zeke informed.

"Right, it's an honor for a kid to be invited to a party like this. But this will run past her bedtime." Paulie added.

"Hey, I'm 8 not 4." Sophie protested.

"And I trust they'll be security at this thing?"

"Oh yes. The city's offered to give us officers from the LAPD." said Chester.

"Oh did they now. Well I'm sure your party will be in good hands." Wolf replied.

That evening, the Bad Guys talked over everything in their hideout.

"So there's going to be about 300 guests at this party, so we'll be able to blend in with the crowd." Snake said.

"And I've implanted cameras everywhere in the hotel, including the ballroom where the party will be held." informed Webs.

"While the police will be there, the biggest issue will be the Maroni Gang." Wolf mentioned.

"Don't worry, I can handle those guys." assured Piranha.

"All right, guys. We're gonna rob us a birthday party." declared Wolf.
