After Aerith's parents are murdered, Hojo takes the infant back to Shinra. Once he discovers her blood reacts differently to Jenova's cells, the experiments begin. Aerith and Sephiroth are raised and experimented on together in Shinra laboratories under the lie that they share the same mother. All hell breaks loose once they discover the truth to their origins.
