Like a precious bloom, Aerith Gainsborough stood no chance against the tides of fate. She bloomed prettily and stood strong for so long, only to quickly wilt and return to the soil- to begin anew. (A tribute to the life of Aerith Gainsborough and her legacy as the slum's bright, cheerful and strong-willed flower girl.)

This is a longish drabble, chronicling Cloud's sojourn from the Midgar wastelands after losing Zack, and an imagining of how he met up with Barret. Inspired heavily by the newest FFVII remake trailer, in which we see a rather skinny and sickly looking Cloud, trying to find his place in Midgar and with AVALANCHE. Rated T for mild profanity.

AU - Holy and Meteor collided. The world has changed and is now a post apocalypse wasteland. The combination of Holy and Meteor hit the tainted Lifestream releasing an unusual strain of virus. In some people the virus can be mutated, changed and adapted to improve the individual. In others it has a fatal effect.

It was Sora's seventh birthday. His mother, Aerith, believed he was ready to receive the family's most prized possession.

With Sephiroth's defeat, an era of peace began. Cloud and Aerith planned to spend the day together in Midgar, but Cloud intended to make it a day to remember.

The rain almost never fell in the slums. After the first year Tifa found herself missing the weather. It was an odd thing to realise. Odder still to discover she was romanticising falling water like that.

A pregnant Aerith can't seem to remember the reason she dragged her husband, Cloud, into town... pregnancy brain was such a pain to deal with! Strife Family Clerith Cleris... Written for #ClerithMonth (Day 3) but based on ichuki-nee's artwork. Please R&R if you have the time.

Tumblr Prompt: "If they had been born a different gender, what would change?" Well, if Sephiroth, Genesis, and Angeal had been females instead, I have a feeling that Genesis would still probably have been aiming for the title of 'best'... That rivalry lives forever, IMO. Quick drabble, really only alternating between alternate Sephiroth's and alternate Genesis' POV.
