"I swear, if anybody sees us I don't care how strong you are, I will find a way to kill you," said Videl through her teeth.

"If you say so," said Gohan with a light chuckle as he continued on his merry way.

Videl knew that at this stage her threat was relatively empty, more so that she would probably die of embarrassment before getting the chance to enact her revenge on the Son boy. Thankfully from what she could tell the halls were relatively empty at this time and unless somebody was currently in detention or a teacher was staying behind to grade papers there was little chance that she would be seen in this predicament.

The predicament in question was that with her muscles too weak after her work out, she had been forced to rely on Gohan for transport. This in turn meant that she was now being carried upon Gohan's back as if she was a child demanding a piggyback ride from their father. Her arms dangled over his shoulders as he held her by the back of her thighs and she was grateful that he hadn't once tightened his grip at any stage. Despite her carrying all of this extra weight, it didn't even seem to faze Gohan in the slightest and Videl couldn't help but wonder just how much Gohan could carry.

Being this close to him however allowed Videl to actually (unintentionally) feel some of what was underneath Gohan's clothes. With her arms slapping against his torso, not once did her skin hit anything resembling flab and with her chest pressed against his back she knew that one thing was certain.

Gohan was ripped.

Quickly she shook her head from side to side and removed these thoughts from her brain as quickly as possible before she realised that they had come to a stop. "Hey, what gives?" she asked only to be shushed by Gohan. Before she could ask anything else she heard footsteps echoing through the hallway and she found herself holding a breath, scared that the slightest sound may draw attention towards them.

Seeming to understand her plight, Gohan crept towards a line of nearby lockers and stood behind them, just out of view as one of the teachers walked past the hallway, whistling a merry tune as he did so. As he vanished towards the exit and his footsteps faded away, only then did Videl allow herself to exhale now that the coast was clear.

"You alright?" asked Gohan.

"Let's just get out of here," said Videl happy that they hadn't been seen.

"As you wish," said Gohan as he resumed the journey he had set into motion. Thankfully there were no more interferences on their way up to the rooftop and finally Videl believed that something normal was going to happen. "Hold on."

Or maybe not.

A shrill scream escaped her lips as she suddenly felt the wind rushing into her face, her hair blowing in every direction as every sense of panic seeped into her body. Closing her eyes and tightening her grip on Gohan, she couldn't help but imagine that this was the end, even though she had no idea what was currently going on.

"You can stop screaming now," said Gohan, calming Videl down enough to discover that they had stopped moving.

"What the hell just happened!" she yelled wondering what it was that she had just been subjected to. To answer her question, Gohan turned around and in doing so allowed Videl to see the school building a couple of blocks away. Seconds ticked by as her brain slowly connected the dots, disbelieving everything more and more as she got closer to the answer. "There's...just no way."

"Consider this an extra lesson," said Gohan as he took in the sight. "The possibilities of what someone is able to accomplish is limited to what they believe is possible."

"But you just jumped five hundred metres!" exclaimed Videl still struggling to wrap her mind around the idea that someone was able to leap that far.

"Looks more like seven to me."

"That is not the point! Doesn't matter if it's five hundred or seven hundred or even a freaking kilometre, nobody is able to jump anywhere near this far!"

"Let's test that shall we," said Gohan as he began jogging to the edge of the building, Videl's eyes growing wider with every step. She could hear the cars below driving along the road and her rational thoughts kept reminding her that she was going to die very soon.

Videl believed her heart had stopped as soon as Gohan's feet left the safety of the rooftop, her grip around him tightening as she clung on for dear life. Once more she felt the wind rushing through her hair and she squinted her eyes as she looked towards the protection of the next roof across. She knew it was impossible though, there was a good forty foot gap left to cross and they weren't even halfway there. As microseconds ticked by however she slowly began to realise that she wasn't falling towards her demise and their altitude hadn't dropped nearly as much as she had thought and before she could comprehend it, Gohan's feet landed atop the roof much to her relief.

"There you see, that wasn't so bad," said Gohan with an unseen cheesy grin spread across his face as he lightly jogged across the rooftop before his feet left the safety of the building once more, barely giving Videl a chance to recover. For this leap of faith Videl did her best to keep her eyes open; a difficult task if any considering the wind pressure that ploughed into her face making her wonder just how fast they were going.

After the fear washed away however Videl couldn't prevent herself from enjoying the experience as she looked over the hundreds of people on the streets below completely oblivious to the fact that they were failing to witness the impossible. It was a special moment in that regard but as she suddenly realised where her train of thought was going she shook her head from side to side removing all possible thoughts from her mind.

As they landed upon a rooftop, Gohan paused for a moment and looked around. "Is something wrong?" asked Videl.

"Um, where do you live?" asked Gohan in response which made Videl want to facepalm if she had the strength in her arms to do so.

"You need to go down Main towards Shepparton before turning west and my place is just before you reach the Meadows," explained Videl. Seconds ticked by one after the other before Videl realised something that she should have straight away, that being that Gohan likely didn't know the names of any of the streets or suburbs in Satan City. Lifting her arm, she pointed slightly to the left of where they had been heading. "It's about seven miles that way."

"Thanks," said Gohan as he took off, Videl clutching his body once again as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop with ease. A light scoff escaped Videl's lips as she watched the life beneath her knowing that she was privileged to be experiencing something that nobody would likely ever be able to do within their lifetime. It was this thought that allowed the smallest of smiles to cross Videl's face as she allowed the journey to continue on without interruption. A small tranquil moment she would cherish.

Gohan meanwhile accepted Videl's silence as either the girl had fallen asleep on his back from exhaustion or she was merely enjoying the ride. He just knew that when his mother asked him about every detail under the sun he would have to be very specific with his answers to prevent any potentially misleading information to be received by Chichi.

Knowing his mother though, it didn't matter what he said it was going to be taken the wrong way no matter what.

...

Videl stood in the shower, the pressure of the water only just strong enough to break through the caked on layers of sweat she had gained over the course of the afternoon. Just trying to get her head around everything that happened was difficult to say the least and she didn't know how many days of torture she could take. As much as she wanted to raise her arms and run her fingers through her hair she just didn't have the strength to do so. Gohan hadn't particularly told her that she was permitted to take off the weights while cleansing herself but he hadn't stated that she had to do so in order to continue his torturous routine.

She dreaded the fact that she had to put them on again before she dragged herself to her desk in order to begin her homework that had been set during her class. The work itself wasn't too difficult but it was just the effort that she would need to put in; Videl wasn't sure whether her fingers had the strength to glide over the computer's keyboard in order to write out her assessment, especially she discovered just how much willpower was needed in order to switch off the shower.

For the better part of a minute, Videl simply stood there as cold water dripped from her body and collided with the porcelain floor of the shower cubicle. Her eyes drifted across to where her weighted ankle and wristbands awaited her to punish her body even further. She hadn't even conjured up a way to think of how to disguise them when she was summoned down to the kitchen for dinner.

In all honesty she didn't want to put them back on, her mind already clouding her thoughts with visions of agonising pain that would simply make her want to collapse upon her bed and forget that the weights even existed. Even mentally she struggled to comprehend the fact that she was required to carry fifty percent more of her body weight at every single moment. She supposed that after a long nights sleep she would wake up somewhat refreshed provided she didn't toss and turn too much in her sleep but there was little chance she would actually be able to roll over from side to side.

Reaching outwards, Videl took the weight with both hands before beginning to slide it over her right fist before locking it into place. There was a slight pause however as she lifted her arm up experimentally and noticing that the weight didn't feel quite as heavy as before. It was still heavy by all means but it felt as if something was amiss. With a shrug, Videl blamed it on mental fatigue and that she wasn't quite feeling things the same way she had earlier before she equipped herself with the next wristband.

As she continued the process and began to dress herself she found herself wondering once more about Gohan and what he had shown today and just how long it had taken the mountain boy to gain these abilities. Leaping easily over streets was much more than an Olympic record holder could accomplish and the amount of weight he could lift simply blew her mind.

Yet it seemed he was merely scratching the surface of his own power. While she hadn't believed him at the time he didn't seem to be the type of person to boast about his strength unless he had the ability to back it up. If he could lift a metallic gymnasium stand when he wasn't at his peak she had no idea just what he was capable of or whether or not she would ever be able to do something that could be relatable on any level. There was also the speed factor that she hadn't even begun to consider as every time when she had been holding on to Gohan they were only ever airborne for a couple of seconds at most. This accompanied by the fact that he had maintained this speed for the entirety of this journey made her question whether or not Gohan was actually human; for some reason it would make sense if he was an alien or some form of android that had been created by a mad scientist. While both ideas were preposterous she still failed to believe that every limitation of the human body she had known about had been thrown out of the window in a single afternoon.

Lifting up her arms, Videl stared at the weights around her wrists knowing that this was merely the beginning of her training and with renewed vigour she steeled herself for the road ahead.

Many miles away, Gohan placed down the remote that controlled the amount of weight that Videl carried upon each of her limbs and couldn't help but admire the technology that Bulma had created. The items didn't gain in mass or anything along those lines but rather Bulma had fitted them with a gravity modifier that affected the weights and only the weights. Plus it had only taken the tiniest bit of tinkering on his part to make the control work on such a broad range, the signal stretching hundreds of miles.

Having finished the adjustments to allow Videl to roam about her home that little bit easier, Gohan placed his hands behind his head wondering just what he would put his apprentice through the following day. It didn't matter what he chose however as he knew full well that Videl wouldn't take too kindly to it one way or another.
