Chapter 27: Double Trouble

"What's the word for locating the rest of the missing zords?" said Pharynx to his brother.

"You can't rush science, brother," responded Thorax as the mutant was at his computers.

"Nor can you rush our liege's patience. He's getting restless."

"Let's be clear, he wanted to take on the rangers himself. And look where that got him," stated Thorax. "Had you and Starlight not showed up and stepped in, no doubt Ash and his team might finished him off."

"The boy is strong but lacks the strength needed to win," responded Pharynx. "Which is why the latest plan I've come up with will help to take down the rangers."

"Oh, I can't wait for this plan to fail," snickered Thorax at his older brother, who didn't like the comment made by his little sibling.

The rangers were currently in a forest. Twilight and Sunset were in front of a table on it was a device that Rachel managed to come up with to help in searching the missing zords.

"Let's see if today we can finally locate a zord," said Sunset as she and Twilight bent down to the machine.

"Rachel, all set," asked Twilight to the A.I.

Ash sat across them and leaned back against a tree, watching them. The boy had a journal open; on one of the blank pages he had was a picture of his parents.

"I miss you guys. I wish all of you were here," he then looked down at the journal and began to write. "Being a ranger is not easy. But I've got a great team. Even though Rainbow likes to brag and show off."

As the boy was writing this, Rainbow was nearby as she was doing some skateboarding.

"Watch this!" said the girl as she jumped over a rock with her board and flipped it in mid-air before landing on it when it came right side up and hit the ground.

Ash looked at her and rolled his eyes before writing his next thoughts.

"She definitely has our backs. Twilight is always analyzing things and training. She makes me try harder too."

"Okay, I calibrated it to search the grids from left to right," said the bookworm to both Sunset and Rachel.

"Sunset's really smart too. And... I'll admit... I think she's cute."

"No, not left to right. I've already calibrated it to search from right to left," said Sunset as the girl moved Twilight aside and began to touch the keypad.

"Even if she's a bit stubborn. Applejack is the most honest person I've met. I can talk to her about anything, and she can tell when someone's lying. Plus, she really loves her family. Just like me."

The farm girl was nearby as she finished bringing the rest of their stuff from the ATV. She took off her hat and wiped her forehead before popping open a bottle of cider.

"And I can't forget the others. Fluttershy is a sweet girl. Her love for animals is on another level. Rarity has a unique fashion sense. She can make anyone feel beautiful. And then there's Pinkie... which, the less said, the better. But she knows how to have fun and throw a wild party. Even though they're not rangers, they're important to the team. It's like you said, dad, even though you weren't a ranger like mom, you still felt a part of the team due to how often your gadgets helped them. At least with them knowing our secret, they can cover for the girls without worrying about getting into trouble. But still... I am afraid. Afraid that these girls will put their lives on the line to help me defeat Sombra and his crew. But no matter what, the mission stays the same. Protect the innocent and destroy evil. That's the promise I made... to you... I'm gonna finish what you, mom, and the others started. Count on it."

Ash finished writing his thoughts as he closed the journal. At that moment, his Morpher beeped.

"Uh, guys, there's a big red signal near your position," said Pinkie.

"Huh?" said Ash.

"I'm detecting it too," said Rachel while the A.I. was present with them in the forest, she was also back in the command center with the others as a big red wavelength was shown on the screen.

"Girls, shut it down. We need to get out of here, now!" stated Ash as he slipped on his backpack.

"Go start the ATV; we'll be right behind you," said Twilight as the girls were going to gather the rest of the things while Ash went to start the vehicle.

The boy ran as he passed through some bushes and made it to where their vehicle was parked. He tossed his bag in the trunk, slipped through the window, and started it up. The engine fired up as the girls came through the bushes but were in their ranger outfits. Ash was putting on his seatbelt when he saw the others getting in.

"What was it?" said Ash as he was confused about why the girls were morphed.

Applejack merely put a finger to where her mouth was under her helmet as she signaled for him to be quiet. She then pointed forward to signal Ash to start driving. The green ranger got in the passenger seat and put on her seatbelt.

"Okay then. I'll get us out of here," said Ash as he pushed the gas pedal and started driving away.

They traveled for a bit as Rainbow, Sunset, and Twilight were in the back, looking behind them to keep an eye out.

"We're just about out of the forest. The tracker is safe, so you can demorph," said Ash to the girls, waiting for their response.

Before either of them could answer, the vehicle began to sputter.

"Oh, come on!" said Ash as he couldn't believe the luck. "Not now!"

As Ash pulled over, the ATV had just crossed a wooden bridge over a small river. The vehicle came to a stop as Ash unbuckled his seatbelt and got out.

"Give me a second, girls. I don't know what happened; I just had this thing tuned up," said Ash as he began walking forward to the ATV's hood.

Ash made it to the hood, popped it open, and propped it up. He was digging through the engine as the girls in the ATV got out and looked at him before looking at their surroundings. Ash wondered what the problem was as he didn't see anything wrong. The teen then noticed a set of spark plugs that were cut. He grabbed the wires and looked at them.

"Now, how the hell did that happen?" wondered the boy.

Before he could do anything else, his bracelet beeped as he received a call.

"Hello?"

"Nice job waiting for us," scoffed Sunset.

"What?" responded Ash.

"Where are you? You ditched us."

"What are you talking about, Sunset? I'm looking right at..."

Ash peeked his head to the side as he saw the red ranger standing beside the ATV before turning her head to look at him.

"... you..." said the boy, wondering how she was contacting him if she was standing there.

He stepped out from behind the hood as he saw the others. They all looked at him as some minions held the tracker next to them. The rangers then changed as they were revealed also to be minions.

"Minions?" said Ash.

"I see you're impressed by my friend's cloning ability," said Phayrnx as he appeared behind Ash and stood with the office that produced the fake rangers.

"Pharynx!" growled the boy, looking at the general.

"Meet Dupli-Kate," said Phayrnx as he introduced the monster officer next to him, as she smiled evilly.

"Mmm. So, you're the leader? Cloning you will be my biggest accomplishment." said the female monster.

"You can try!" said the teen.

"Very well," said Dupli-Kate as she rushed at the boy.

Ash ran to engage the monster as he ducked her initial swing. He went for a sidekick, as she blocked it. She swung as he ducked in reaction and then spun back to deliver a kick that was blocked. He landed and did a bicycle kick; it hit Dupli-Kate in the chest, and she stumbled back. She swung her staff as Ash did a triple spin backflip to avoid it as he landed like a superhero.

"Fake rangers, huh? Nice trick. But now you're dealing with a real ranger." stated Ash as he stood up.

"You're pretty tough, I'll give you that. But how about this!" shouted Dupli-kate as she pointed her staff at the boy and fired some shots.

They shot out in the blink of an eye as Ash didn't have time to dodge or defend himself. Explosions occurred as he was caught in them and flung him through the air. The boy crashed to the ground near the river and grunted before falling unconscious.

"Heh, that wasn't hard to get rid of that problem," said Dupli-Kate.

"Hurry up! We got what we came for!" said Pharynx to the minions as they all entered a portal and escaped.

The girls had made it back to the command center. They were shocked that Ash wasn't there because he had left before them. Rachel tried to call the boy but got no response.

"Any luck?" asked Applejack.

"No. He's not responding," said Rachel.

"I'll start running the scan of the city for any signs," said Twilight as she approached the computer and began to work her fingers at it.

"When I talked to him, Ash thought he was with us," said Sunset to the others. "Whoever he was with fooled him."

"I got a signal in the city complex," said Twilight.

"Then let's get going," stated Rainbow.

"Maybe we should split up. I could go back to the woods and retrace our steps and see if I can find Ash," said Sunset, heading for the exit.

"I'll go with you," said Twilight.

The pair were about to leave when an alarm began to blare. Everyone turned to look at the screen. On it came Pharynx as he was shown with the tracker in his hands.

"Looks like that'll have to wait. Pharynx is on the move," said Rachel.

"You girls go take care of this, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and I will go look for Ash," suggested Rarity.

"Come on y'all. We got a monster to stop," stated Aj as they all left.

"Let's go find him," said Fluttershy.

"I'm sending you girls the coordinates of his last location. Be careful," said Rachel to the trio as they nodded before she teleported them.

The trio landed near the woods where Ash was last speaking with Sunset. The trio began to look for their missing friend. As for the boy himself, he was shown where he was lying. The teen began to stir as he slowly opened his eyes, and his initial vision was blurry. After a few moments, his vision cleared as he heard someone calling his name.

"Ash! Ash!"

"Fluttershy," groaned the boy as he lifted his head.

"Girls, over here! I found him!" shouted the animal-loving teen.

Ash got to his knees as Fluttershy bent down and pulled out a handkerchief to wipe some dirt on his face.

"Thanks," responded the boy as Rarity and Pinkie showed up.

"What happened, darling?" asked the fashionista as she and Pinkie bent down and put Ash's arms over them as they walked.

"Was in a fight. Where are the others?" asked the boy.

"They're tracking down Pharynx. He has the tracker," stated Pinkie.

"Then I need to go help the girls," said Ash as he removed his arms from their shoulders and walked before clutching his side.

"Ash!" called out Fluttershy.

"I'm fine, girls. I'll walk it off. You three need to get back to the command center. Let them know I'm on my way," stated Ash. He then touched his bracelet as it transformed into his Morpher. He pushed a button as his cycle appeared in a flash of light and zoomed ahead. The cycle turned the dirt corner and was coming at Ash as the boy jumped on the edge of the bridge, as did a backflip in the air.

"Harmony Gem, power up!" shouted Ash as he morphed and landed on his cycle before pushing the throttle and taking off.

The trio saw him riding away as they touched their devices, and they teleported back to the command center. While the trio had managed to find their friend, the other rangers were in the city as they were searching the area from where the signal had come.

"This where the signal came from," said Sunset.

"Well, it's a big area. We'd best start looking," said Twilight.

"Be careful," stated Applejack as they all broke apart and split up.

Watching them from a roof were Pharynx and Dulip-Kate.

"Fools. Wait until they get a taste of what it's like to fight themselves," stated Dulip-Kate.

"Keep this tracker safe. Make sure no one gets near. And contact me once you get something," said Pharynx to a minion before turning to the officer. "While you take care of the girls, I'll deal with Ash personally."

"Oh, trust me. They'll be seeing double, they won't know who to trust," said Dupli-Kate as she looked at four minions all lined up behind her.

She then pulled out her staff as she cast her cloning magic, and soon all four minions were copies of the girls in their ranger suits.

"I really hate those colors," grumbled Pharynx, as despite his own men being fakes, he couldn't stand even seeing a fake version of a ranger.

"Now, destroy the Power Rangers!" ordered Dupli-kate to the fakes as they nodded and took off.

"Disgusting," scoffed Pharynx, expressing his disdain for his foes. He would've gotten a headache if he had to look at them even for a second.

"I've got nothing!" said Twilight as all four regrouped in a plaza.

"Same here," expressed Aj with her shrugging her shoulders.

"Rainbow, did you spot anything from that tree?" asked Sunset.

"No, but I found a pissed-off squirrel," said the blue ranger as the squirrel seemed to hear her comment and threw an acorn at her head.

"Hey!" shouted Rainbow as she turned to look at the squirrel making noises at her. "Oh, you're so lucky Fluttershy ain't here, so I know what the hell you're saying, you little rodent!"

Rainbow waved her fist at the creature as the others all looked at her and rolled their eyes at how she was acting.

"Uh, guys. I know I'm not a liar but isn't that us?" said Applejack as she pointed to what was in front of them.

The others all turned to where Aj was pointing as charging at them were the fakes.

"Whoa! I look awesome!"

"Rainbow!" shouted the others, glaring at their friend from underneath their helmets.

"What?!" responded the girl.

"Of course, clone rangers. That's how they fooled Ash," stated Sunset.

The fakes were getting closer when more minions appeared behind the girls. They turned and saw them as a few grabbed them, and the struggle began.

"You all should take some acting classes, 'cause you're not fooling me!" said Sunset as she avoided several punches before sweeping some minions.

"That's funny coming from you!" shouted Rainbow as she jumped in between trees to deliver a kick to some of her foes. The girl and the others knew that Sunset couldn't act to save her own life.

"Shut up!" yelled Sunset, as she didn't like that Dash took a shot at her poor acting skills.

Twilight did a high knee strike to back off a foe as she bumped into Applejack. She turned to apologize but saw Aj attempt to attack her as she ducked. The girl now realized that this one was a fake as she avoided more of its punches.

Sunset was nearby as she had her saber out and was about to bring it down on Twilight, who came into her line of sight.

"Whoops, sorry, Twilight," said Sunset as she stopped herself.

The fake version of her then punched her in the midsection as she pushed Sunset back. Applejack was punching foes left and right as she turned and sensed someone trying to launch a sneak attack. When she turned and saw Rainbow, the girl was about to punch what she assumed was an enemy.

"My bad, Dash," said Applejack.

The girl grabbed her arm and twisted it as Aj felt pain. The fake Rainbow then flipped her over her, and she crashed onto the ground. The fake one went for a stomp as she rolled out of the way and got to her feet as more minions began to engage her.

Rainbow was swinging her lance, taking out any foes from a distance. She stuck it into the ground, spun on it, and kicked several minions. She landed and thrust her lance forward as it stopped inches from Applejack's head.

"Close one, Aj. Didn't see you there," said Rainbow before the fake version of her friend grabbed her lance and disarmed her, throwing quick jabs at her and sending her flying back. "Alright, that's it!" shouted the girl, as she didn't like being tossed around and charged at the fake version of her friend.

Ash was riding on his cycle, and inside his helmet, he was contacted by Rachel.

"Master Ash, what happened? Are you okay?" asked the A.I. to the alien.

"Long story, but I'm fine, Rach. Listen, Pharynx stole the tracker; they fooled me."

"With clone rangers, we know. The others are fighting them right now. I'm sending you the coordinates."

To the left of Ash, his map came up as his eyes shifted to look at them and showed how far he was from his team.

"Got them. Tell them I'm almost there," said the boy.

The call ended as Ash stepped on the gas. Just then, pieces of metal came hurling toward him as he made his bike swerve. He was moving from side to side to avoid the objects.

"Who the hell is attacking?!" shouted Ash.

The boy made his cycle spin in an attempt to stop, but the momentum was too much. The boy tried to get his cycle to stop spinning, but he couldn't hold on as Ash was flung from his ride. He tumbled and fell through the street as he came to a stop, and his suit demorphed.

He grunted and got to his feet as he saw who was trying to stop him from getting to his team.

"Look, what the cat dragged in," said Pharynx as he emerged and charged at Ash with his gauntlets.

"You haven't caught me yet," said Ash as he charged at the monster, unmorphed.

Ash ran and then dodged an attack from Pharynx.

"Too slow," responded the boy as he rolled out of the way.

"Hold still!" demanded Pharynx as he faced Ash and swung his fists, to which Ash ducked and began to use his legs.

The boy was pushed into a car as he popped the door open to block Pharynx'x punch before doing a roundhouse kick to back him off. He flipped onto the car's hoof as Pharynx slammed his fists on the roof; Ash did a twirl off the car to avoid the sparks made from the contact. Pharynx kicked the car as Ash made his sword appear in his hand and brought it down just as the car collided with him. The vehicle was cut in half as it spread out around the boy, who managed to slice it to avoid getting hit.

"Finish them!" shouted Dupli-Kate to her fakes as they all pulled out copies of the girl's weapons and engaged.

They swiped at the real ones as they all tumbled to the floor.

"I'm starting to get real sick at looking at myself!" said Rainbow.

She was then grabbed forcefully by one of the fakes as she kicked off of them and landed before being back kicked by it and falling back to the floor.

"I can't tell who's what!" said Sunset as she pulled back on her bow to shoot red arrows made of energy.

The girl then noticed out of the corner of her eye as she blocked the fake version of Aj. The ax came down on her bow as she positioned it horizontally to stop it before the fake pulled back, flung it from her hand, and delivered a slash to her chest as she tumbled.

Twilight fought Dupli-Kate for a moment as she fired her staff, using her round shield to block it. She looked up after the attack ceased as several more minions came to attack. She did her best before her version came from behind and began to use its shield and bounce it between her and Twilight as attacks constantly pelted her.

Twilight fell to the ground as she struggled. The minions began to approach the downed girl as they looked to finish her off when they suddenly shot in the chest as sparks flew. They fell to the floor and disappeared; Twilight was surprised by this as she didn't know what had happened. She looked as approaching the massive fight was someone.

"Time to clean up," said Shining Armor as he walked confidently toward the battle with his trusty blaster.

"Big brother," muttered Twilight at seeing her older sibling.

Shining Armor was in his suit as he aimed his blaster and fired. His focus was on anything that moved as he not only fired some shots that took out some minions, but he also shot the girls.

"What the hell? We're on the same side!" shouted Rainbow as she didn't appreciate being shot at by Twilight's older brother.

"He doesn't know that!" said Sunset as she grunted, stating that all of the foes looked alike to Shining Armor.

Twilight struggled to get up as Shining Armor stood before her. The Crystal Quartz ranger stared down at his sister as he had his blaster aimed at her.

"Brother," said Twilight as she pleaded for him not to pull the trigger.

"Say goodbye," stated Shining Armor as he prepared to finish the minion.

"Twilight!" shouted the others as they tried to help their friend but were being held back by the others.

Shining Armor glared down at Twilight as the girl was worried behind her helmet. The captain pulled the trigger as his blaster charged up, and he aimed upward to take out the fake version of Twilight, who looked to attack. The fake was shown with a hole through it as it fell and exploded. Twilight had her arm up to cover her eyes as she looked away for a sec.

"You may look like her, but I know my little sister," stated Shining Armor.

"Brother," spoke Twilight softly.

"Stay here!" said Shining Armor as he changed his blaster to his saber.

"Wait!" called out Twilight, putting her arm out in an attempt to inform her sibling to not harm her friends, but clutched her side as she was still hurt.

Shining Armor was rushing toward where the others were as they engaged some minions.

"Wrath Strike!" shouted Shining Armor as his saber charged up.

"Wait!" shouted the girls as the captain came at them, thinking they were fakes.

Shining Armor made his cross-slash attack as he zoomed past the horde. All the minions fell back and exploded, as did the fake versions of the girls. They held their heads, curled up, and crouched as they expected the captain to hit them. But to their surprise, he didn't, like he knew which were fake and real.

"I'm still in one piece," said Applejack as she began to feel her chest and skirt.

"Wow. Talk about close. How did you know?" asked Rainbow to Shining Armor.

"I didn't. I just guessed," said Shining Armor as he was telling the truth that he was content if he accidentally struck the girls when he launched his attack.

"What?!" screamed Sunset, as she couldn't believe what Twilight's older brother said.

Shining Armor blocked an attack from a minion as he mercilessly struck it down with a slash.

"Take the monster down. I'll handle the rest of the small fry," ordered Shining Armor as he ran.

"Hey, we're not...!" shouted Sunset.

"Come on, y'all. He's right!" said Applejack, as they didn't have time to argue.

Back with Ash, he was engaged in a fierce duel with Pharynx as both tried to defeat the other. The boy and monster exchanged blows with their weapons as sparks flew from their contacts.

"You're no match for me, Ash. Give up!" shouted Pharynx as he did a twirl in the air, as did the boy at the same time.

"Don't be so sure, Pharynx!" said Ash as he did several spins backward to avoid the monster's attacks.

The boy pushed off a pillar and did several bicycle kicks in the air as Pharynx put his arms together to minimize their damage. Ash landed and ducked, blocking Pharynx's next swing with his sword. The boy left his side open, and the mutant took advantage of that and kicked him. Ash felt it as he dropped his guard and allowed Pharynx to overpower the teen and push him back. Ash tumbled to the floor as Pharynx smiled, towering over his rival.

"To think your mother put up a better fight before we ended her life."

"What did you say?!" growled Ash; he felt his anger boil.

The boy growled as he popped up on adrenaline. He ducked Pharynx's swings as he kicked and spun to use his legs for attacks. He landed and did another spin as he kicked the monster while in mid-air before kicking Pharynx in his chest, who fell back into a car.

"What did you say about my mother?!" growled Ash as he was bringing his sword down; Pharynx barely got out of the way as the boy sliced the door off the vehicle.

"You've met your match, rangers," said Dupli-Kate as four minions appeared behind her. She was looking to make more copies.

"Not this time!" shouted Rainbow.

The four girls fired their blasters as they hit Dupli-Kate in the back and took out the four. They all flew as Dupli-Kate tumbled to the grass.

"We need to take her out now, or else she'll just keep making clones," stated Sunset.

"We need the Harmony Cannon," stated Rainbow.

"But we need Ash for that!" responded Twilight, as they could only form their cannon if all five combined their weapons.

"No time for that!" exclaimed Dupli-Kate as she charged at the distracted teens.

"Just have to try our best," said Applejack as they prepared to fight.

With their leader, he was still dealing with Pharynx. The boy was now keeping up with the mutant's attacks. However, his newfound anger fueled him as he had more power behind his attacks. The general could feel how aggressive Ash's attacks were. The boy was slicing and slashing as hard as he could as he overtook Pharynx.

Ash slashed across Pharynx's body as he made sparks fly. As Ash brought his sword down, the general fell back into a car, and Pharynx got on the car's hood. Ash predicted that as he struck it, it popped open, sending Pharynx flying and twisting in the air as he fell to the ground. Sparks flew from the car as a result of Ash's attack as they added to more damage Pharynx took when he was in the air. The boy removed his sword from the hood as smoke steamed from the car; he growled as he eyed Pharynx, who was helpless by his feet.

"It's time to pay for what you did!" growled Ash, pointing his sword at his defenseless foe. "You took my home away; I take your life away!"

Before Ash could make good on his threat, his Morpher began to beep.

"Ash, we can't do this alone! We need you!" shouted Sunset.

"We need you to create the Harmony Cannon to take down this monster!" shouted Twilight.

The boy heard that as he looked at his Morpher. The boy was now at a crossroads between taking down one member of the Dark Lords and saving his team.

"Fool!" stated Pharynx as he took advantage of Ash's distraction.

He swung his arm to make Ash go upward and spin; he landed on his feet as Pharynx kicked him and fell back-first into a car's door. Ash grunted as he leaned against the door with Pharynx standing in front of him.

"Now to finish you!" stated Pharynx, looking to bring his gauntlets on the boy.

"No!" yelled Ash.

He thrust his arm out as the gem inside his Morpher glowed. His animal spirit appeared as it grabbed Pharynx's arm and bit down on it before throwing the mutant back. Ash got off the car and was about to strike when his Morpher beeped again.

"Ash! We need you!" shouted Sunset's voice over the call.

The boy took a deep breath as he turned and began to book it. Pharynx was on his knees as he saw Ash taking off to help the girls. Speaking of the girls, they were being thrown back to the grass. Ash was shown running as he was almost there.

"Hold on, guys. I'm coming! Harmony Gem, power up!" shouted the boy as he leaped off a set of stairs and morphed.

"Without your leader, you're done. Take this!" shouted Dupli-Kate as she pointed her staff and fired.

Ash flipped into the air as he landed in front of his team and began to deflect the shots with his sword. He stood in place before spinning and blocking them as he shifted his sword to hold it backward in his hand.

"What?" said Dupli-Kate, surprised to see Ash and the others unharmed.

"Ash!" said the girls.

"Let's put them together!" called out Ash.

"Harmony Cannon, online!" called out the girls.

They all combined their weapons as their blaster was formed. The girls took their position, with Twilight and Aj bending down as Sunset and Rainbow stood behind them with Ash in the middle, ready to pull the trigger.

"Harmony Cannon, Final Shot!" shouted the rangers.

Their cannon fired a rainbow sphere as it sailed forward. It collided with Dupli-Kate, who froze for a second before she then fell and exploded. The rangers broke apart, with their weapons in hand, as they looked at the remaining debris of their foe.

"Ash!" said Sunset as she looked at her leader and pulled him into a tight hug, wrapping her arms around his neck before releasing him.

"We were worried about you, sugarcube," said Applejack, planting her hand on his shoulder.

Before he could respond, a magic beam shot down on the debris where Dupli-Kate was as it picked up the stuff in a tornado. Once it died down, there was the monster again, only this time it was bigger due to Chrysalis' magic.

"Now I can duplicate giants, minion!" called out the giant monster.

A giant minion appeared; she then used her staff to change its appearance.

"Now, try facing a giant Pharynx!" stated the mutant as the minion was now changed to look like Pharynx.

"You got to be kidding me! That's just insulting. I'm one of a kind!" said Pharynx as he was on the streets and looked up to see Dupli-Kate as she made a copy of him.

"Look out!" shouted Ash.

The copy of Pharynx was shown, bringing his gauntlets as the rangers all rolled out of the way. Ash rolled onto his knees as he touched his Morpher and soon heard a howling. The boy's zord was rushing toward the city as it lunged. It sank its teeth into the copy of Pharynx before it flipped back and landed on its feet.

"Girls, summon your zords!"

"Right!" said the others as they called their zords.

The rest of the zords appeared as the rangers jumped inside their zords. Soon the animals began to merge, and their Megazord was formed moments later.

"Harmony Megazord, online!" said the team of rangers.

The Megazord appeared as it faced Dupli-Kate. The female monster thrust her staff forward as it made contact with the Megazord. From behind, the copy of Pharynx used his gauntlets and struck them in the back.

"They're attacking from both sides!" said Rainbow as they were tossed around inside the Megazord.

The rangers tried to defend themselves, but whenever they blocked an attack from one side, the other monster would take their opportunity to strike. The two foes were in sync as they attacked the teens when they could and even made a coordinated attack as it flung them back.

"Looks like it's the end of the rangers," said Dupli-Kate.

"They really can't do this, can they," said Shining Armor as he was shown watching the others fight on a roof.

Soon his hand was glowing. The ranger looked at it as he saw his blaster shine. Soon three slots were shown; inside were three small orbs of crystal.

"Say goodbye, rangers!" shouted Dupli-Kate as the copy of Pharynx was about to finish them off.

Just as the Pharynx copy was about to slam his fists at them. Just then, jumping over the ranger's Megazord was a wolverine; its claws were out as it pushed the giant minion to the ground. It was on it as it began to bite at it before tossing the creature over to Dupli-Kate.

"What the?" said the monster as the wolverine was coming at her; it spun into a ball and collided with her.

The creature landed as it roared and snarled.

"What's that?" said Rainbow before all looked to their side.

"Looks like I gotta save your skins again!" spoke Shining Armor as he shouted to the teens.

"Hey! We could have handled this by ourselves!" shouted Rainbow as the Megazord looked at the small human on the building.

"Sure, you could've. Now stand back. Wolverine, awoken!" shouted Shining Armor.

The creature snarled as it heard the command from its owner.

"Dragon zord, descend!" shouted Shining Armor.

From the clouds above, a dragon roared and was shown as it flapped its wings. It soared to where Dupli-Kate and the minion were as it opened its mouth and fired a burst of fire. The flames hit the monsters as they sparked and soon exploded as they were pushed back.

"A dragon?" said Applejack as the teens saw Shining's zords.

"Now, Dolphin zord, arise!" said the captain.

The aquatic mammal was jumping from a body of water as it made a sound. It then began to swim through the air as it made noises, using its echolocation to navigate its way. Its sounds bounced off the foes as when it came back and registered in its brain, it had the image of the enemies and swam forward more quickly to bash its head into them.

The Dolphin flipped to where its comrade was as the Dragon and Wolverine zord also growled and made noises.

"No way! He's got three zords!" shouted Rainbow, both in astonishment and jealousy.

"Hyahh!" said Shining Armor as he jumped and went inside his Wolverine zord.

The captain appeared in his zord. He approached his table and sat down as he slotted his blaster in. It then began to make things come online.

"Zords, combine!" shouted the captain.

The trio of creatures heard as they all leaped into the air. The dragon flew high as its eyes glowed. Soon it began to transform as it became the main body of the Megazord. Its head turned into the head of the Megazord as the wings were on its back and then retracted for safety. As for the Wolverine and Dolphin, they appeared as they attached to the Megazord and began the arms.

"Megazord, online!" shouted Shining Armor as his new mech appeared as lighting and thunder occurred.

It landed with a thud as the ranger's Megazord looked up at the new robot towering over them.

"Amazing!" said Applejack.

"Unbelievable!" responded Sunset.

The others were shown in awe under their helmets as they saw Shining Armor's new Megazord.

"Just stay down and let me handle this!" scoffed Shining Armor as he began to make his robot walk.

"Shining," said Twilight, seeing her brother engage their foes.

"You think I'm scared of you!" said Dupli-Kate as the copy of Phayrnx charged ahead.

Shining Armor's Megazord marched forward as it raised its Doplhin arm and opened its mouth. A wavelength of high-pitched frequency sound shot out as the minion had to cover its ears. Shining Armor pierced through it, launching the Wolverine arm as the claws went through the foe. The Megazord lifted the minion up as it was still attached before spinning it furiously and tossing it back as it exploded in the air and fireworks happened.

"This can't be!" said Dupli-Kate, seeing how easily Shining Armor ran through his copy.

"Now for you! Dragonbreath!" said Shining Armor.

The Megazord's head retracted as it closed to reveal the dragon's face before opening its mouth and shooting some fire. It hit the monster, and she winced in pain. The dragon's face pulled back as the Megazord's face was revealed.

"Your time is up!" shouted Shining Armor as his Megazord prepared for the finishing blow. "Quartz Flash Strike!"

The Megazord charged up as it struck its Dolphin arm into the ground. The ground opened up as the cracks made their way to the monster. Dupli-Kate shined as she was surrounded by a magical symbol and was trapped. The Megazord then zoomed ahead as it skidded forward, jumping and twisting its body in the air. It pierced through as the shadows of the two large figures were shown with one on the other side.

Shining Armor's Megazord then came to a halt as it stood up. Behind it was Dupli-Kate with a hole through her body. She then fell forward as she exploded.

"Mission successful!" said Shining Armor.

"Almost done!" demanded Pharynx to where the minions were.

"There he is!" said Rainbow as they saw their foes in the distance and saw them using their tracker.

"We have to stop them!" said Ash, "Sunset, you're the only one who can hit the tracker from here."

"But..."

"Don't worry. Rachel and I can always make another one," the boy said to the girl.

Sunset nodded as she made her bow appear. As a red arrow appeared, she stepped forward and pulled back on the string. The girl took a deep breath as she focused and calmed her mind.

"Steady aim, girl. Focus, and imagine where you want your shot to go," muttered Sunset as she tapped into her sharpshooting skills at video games to help her.

The girl felt her fingers release as the arrow flew forward in slow motion. It traveled as it was heading through the air at high speed. It made contact with the tracker as it flung from the minion's hand and fell on the ground. Pharynx was shocked as he looked to see the rangers.

"This isn't over, rangers!" said Pharynx as he opened a portal, and he and his men all disappeared in the blink of an eye.

"Nice shot, Sunny," said Ash as he placed his head on her shoulder.

"Thanks," said the girl as the others praised her for a nice shot.

Shining Armor was walking down a street as he was looking to leave. As he was walking in the distance, a set of feet appeared behind him and called out.

"Captain!" said Ash as he got Shining Armor's attention; he turned to look at the teens. "Thanks for the help."

"Dude, why didn't you tell us you could do that? And how come you got three zords all to yourself?" said Rainbow in excitement.

"Let's get one thing straight. I didn't do it for you!" glared Shining Armor under his helmet as he looked at Ash. "I did it to protect my little sister. Because of your error in stopping your own drama, she's now pulled into your world. My job is to keep her safe. If you were really their leader, you would have known those were fakes and gotten to your team much faster. Such mistakes like those can cost you lives in the heat of battle!"

"What?! How can you..." said Sunset as she didn't like what the officer was saying about Ash, who was not a good leader and so easily fooled by their enemy.

"Sunset... it's okay. He's right," stated Ash as he put his arm in front of the girl, stopping her.

"Ash..." Sunset couldn't believe her friend had agreed with Twilight's brother.

"I'm outta here. Don't expect me to save your skin twice. I got a job to do." said Shining Armor as he walked into the distance with a purpose in his steps.

The teens watched the captain leave before they turned in the opposite direction. Twilight held back a bit as she spotted her brother still walking off. The girl was grateful that Shining Armor saved them, but he still wasn't on board with helping them.

"Brother," said Twilight as she brought her hand up to clutch her heart. "Thank you."

Author's Note: A little fake cloning problem that has certainlygiven our heroes some issues. Plus, the debut of Shining Armor's Megazord; seeing that he possesses three zords.
