Chapter 2

AN: Sorry for the late chapter folks I was busy with life. Today I'm bringing you the second chapter of Lode Arcanum which took me just a bit of mental fatigue and Time to write. Since I'm not sure how strongly regulates smut I'll keep it on the low side, don't expect any well-written lemon scenes because the only Experience I have is reading lemons. I didn't manage to find the Staff, what I did manage to find was some kind of Rift that opened up a few meters below me. 'For some reason, I have the feeling that I am not supposed to go in there.' I tried to rationalize what I was seeing but I was failing to do so.

I tried peering further into the Rift but the only thing I can make out is that I am slowly starting to drift further towards it at an increased pace, as if it was trying to quickly devour everything around itself.

Something did catch my attention though: I was starting to hear something move towards me from behind but they weren't footsteps, it was the sound of something falling at a high speed. Without being able to turn I looked to the sides and found out what was moving towards the rift alongside me. They seemed to be shards or orbs of some kind that gave off different colors, some were brighter than the others.

'Huh? Those are some neat-looking orbs-' My line of thought cut off after something heavy impacted the back of my head and the last thing I saw was the Rift getting dangerously close.

Something pressed down on me so I once again tried opening my eyes and did manage to open them up just a tiny bit. What I did manage to see was a rocky surface above me with water dripping down from some stalagmites above.

''Well, I guess it's time to head to Iliasville and figure out where in the timeline I am, hopefully, a bit before Luka's journey.'' I murmured while slowly walking North, though I stopped when it hit me that I was actually heading North. ' Now why do I know where North is? How do I know where is what direction? Have I turned into a Bird or something?' My Brain started spinning again at how I knew where what direction was but I didn't spend too much time on it. There was a Village I had to get to and figure out what my next goal or action would be.

I will find a way to contact my family back home, No matter how Deep I will have to go.
